If you want to live in a house then buy a condo and rent it out, then use the rent money to rent a house for yourself.

Tub with shower curtains would be nice. I do not like the idea of water getting all over the toilet, sink and floor everytime I shower. That is just more cleaning I would need to do.

When, I retire and return to Thailand, all I need is a high rise tower overlooking the bay. I'm definitely not interested in buying a home. I prefer just to rent. If I do continue to purchase property for investment, I prefer to invest in America because equity goes up fast and higher, and last of all, you can use your own name.

Great value, thanks for the tour! These homes seem to be so well made. Personally, I think the design would have been much better if they had not put up the wall (with a door) between the living and dining room. Open floor plans are much more appealing to the eye. Apart from that, this would be a perfect place for me in my old age 🤣

With villas, as compared to condos are there ongoing fees for body corporate or HOA (Community facilities) etc and what about rates or taxes. What are the total initial and ongoing costs of ownership?

So many of these homes have odd layouts. The only way to do it would be to design the layout yourself. Also, westerners will NOT like the Asian style showers. "Farang" Homes should have western style baths. Just my 2 cents.

NOTE: Both health insurance and long term visas can be costly especially depending on age. Under 50 health insurance approx $300 month and elite visa $17K USD for 5 years, 60K USD for 20 years. Over 50 insurance gets increasingly expensive factor $500 month-up and retirement visa must show either 65k THB/$1900 USD month income or 800kTHB/$23,000 USD in a Thai Bank account 3 months prior to applying. Many do get other visas such as education visa to learn Muay Thai, Thai Language etc but this is a short term solution and they're cracking down on abusers.
Overall, I love these houses (and the presentations!), but so many little quirks. One of the main ones I typically notice do these places not have AC???!!!

Who is developing them homes, because the houses are so close with very little privacy. The estate resembles an isolation camp. Nice little house, but the layout and the space of the house is maximising profit for sure. It would be interesting to see how long people would stay there if they buy.

You can not own property in Thailand. Research. Only way is to put in Business name but business must be tax legit and owned 51% by Thai.

Is this house made of bricks? Looks more like stucco. That is bad for long term. Also heard that buying a house is risky because of the land it’s on that you don’t own.
