"I feel like an A-10 would be great here"
Yeah we all made that mistake before
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Its totally doable in the A10 even on max difficulty. just need practice
_And ground forces you will fight!_
i did the a-g missions with the F-2A. that way i could still dog fight if i had to. it was hard though. after dying 20 or so times, i was so determined not to use the A-10 that i actually succeeded....lol. it took a few missions after that one to convince me to upgrade to a more advanced fighter. i got attached to the F-2A.
BWOOP BWOOP MISSION UPDATE
Me: ....well fuck.
I think the most accurate thing that has ever been said about Ace Combat is that it's not a simulator of flying a fighter jet, its a simulator of the fantasy of flying a fighter jet
I've called it a Plane Opera (compare Star Wars space opera) to some people, it's more about the emotion than reality. And sometimes the OST really thinks it's an opera. Or just Top Gun as an anime.
tim?
Fun Fact: Ace combat has never been advertised as a Simulator, the only real aspect of the series is the use of real Fighter Jets names
After many chapters I still don't get the joke of why this guy's hates this game so much because of it's arcade mechanics and the use of the Metric System
Ace Combat is really just Gundam but instead of mobile suits, you're flying Gundams that resemble fighter jets.
@@anm10wolvorinenotapanther32 And that is what we call "Macross".
Don't worry, Mr. Mihaly Dumitru Margareta Corneliu Leopold Blanca Karol Aeon Ignatius Raphael Maria Niketas A. Shilage is still not gone from this show, yet...
So, a bit of context...
1) The canon used to destroy Arsenal Bird was part of Stonehenge superweapon. It was build as an array of rail guns to protect the continent of Usea during the event known as Planetfall, when a large asteroid fell on Earth in the year of 1999 causing massive destruction. If you look at the ground you'll notice a lot of craters - the Planetfall is thee reason why they are there
2) After the Planetfall there was a big war, during which Erusea (the enemy country of AC7) used the Stonehenge as an anti-aircraft weapon, which gave them a massive advantage. However, the pilot with callsign Mobius One led an air attack that destroyed all but one cannons, which then led to Erusea's defeat (that was the story of Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies).
3) Than one cannon that was not destroyed during Mobius One's attack was spared because it was not operational. It was damaged during the disaster of Planetfall. It is the cannon that was used to destroy Arsenal Bird.
4) Yes, there are lasers on MiG-31 and Arsenal Bird has a force field. No, there is no explanation for this. Ace Combat is basically a gundam anime.
1) The *cannon used to destroy Arsenal Bird was [...]
Cannon = a projectile-shooting weapon.
Canon = part of an approved/authorized work.
For example, in Ace Combat canon, a cannon was used to destroy the Arsenal Bird.
I've always considered 'Strangereal' as a pseudo-Type 1 Civilization as it's vastly superior in some technologies, but it still has a lot of similarities to our own.

I have been summoned
AC4s campaign, especially the cutscenes were awesome and ahead of its time. Of course it probs hasnt aged well and what used to seem realistic would absolutely seem terrible these days especially with DCS
I cant wait to see him react to Torres and the DLC missions
Will be amazing
Seconding this. It's going to be amazing 👏
I swear lol
Him and his crisp white sheets!
How much AC can we force this man to watch?
"He's down to 3 flares though, that's not good"
You know, in MiG 31 that's not a problem, since if your RWR starts screaming, you should hit your throttle, instead of countermeasures.
Mig 31 ain’t out running a Sidewinder🤣🤣
@@hunterlindbert2679Uhhh Sidewinders don’t trigger RWR. They are IR missiles not Radar ones.
I remember playing AC1 on the arcade machines... was awesome fun.
And i used the A-10 for this mission myself... was easy for the ground work... struggled on the drones.
I felt like I was the only one who remembered the giant Air Combat arcade machines with the replica cockpit and the big screen. I loved that game.
I always look at the mission briefing and see majority ground units, sweet time to use the A-10. Part 2 of the mission: heres 2300 drones, good luck using those 4AGM/UGB now 😂
You gotta understand that in this series, almost every fighter the player has access to, the enemy also has.
Edit: Except Assault Horizon. But we don't talk about that one
Because in Ace Combat ITARS doesn't exist LOL
Not true
The series has always had specific jets for specific groups, the only reason they use a10s in 7 is because project aces didn't have time to make all of their older jets skeletons in time.
The military industrial complex would love it in Strangereal lol
@@808INFantry11XLol because ITARS doesn't make the MOSTEST money
@@SSpider41 ITARS regulates the way weapons and military equipment can be sold and purchased by NATO it actually limits the amount of money that can be made. This doesn't cover small arms but it does prevent the unauthorized trafficking of jets, tanks, armored vehicles etc. The big ticket items they have to be sold to government now what said government does with it is not clear especially if they are like some developing nations who choose to sell them under the table but that can invoke sanctions especially for aviation and tanks tend to draw that kind of attention.
I swear the light is slowly leaving his eyes as you make him react to more and more Ace Combat 7.
He looks completely dead inside lmao
I like how he called an AD Tank "Active Duty," as if the regular tanks aren't on active duty.
Air Defense Tank is such a weird name to be fair, I'd understand Air Defense System
@@gobboman The AD tanks are either Tunguskas or tracked Pantsirs; they're based on an IFV chassis.
That's funny as hell. ACTIVE DUTY TANK.
Now when we think of it... aren't these flakpanzer 4? (Can't remember newer AA unit with tank body)
Fighters Anthology is what got me into aviation and wanting to be a pilot and later on Ace Combat 5, all that inspiration but near the end of high school I was not medically cleared for military service. Ace Combat as a whole is more or less a love letter and a romantization of being a combat pilot. I remember reading a comment that someone became a combat pilot because of Ace Combat 4 and another comment that someone became an aerospace engineer. Alot of us still get teary eyed whenever we watch the AC7 trailer that featured Daredevil, Ace Combat definitely means alot to many of us. And now AC8 has been confirmed, so now I'm gitty with excitement again.
Trigger has a three line marking. Also the force field was turning on only when Arsenal Bird was damadgeg in a way that threatened aircraft. It was using too much power to use it all the time. Big part in one Ace Combat missions is disabling wireles charging for it, so the big airplane will run out of power and be forced to fight without forcefield. And fun fact - it's propelers got better armor than the tanks.
The force field uses microwave tech to roast incoming enemies and missiles rather than completely blocking attacks.
Side effects include dizziness, headaches, testicular cancer, and burnt toast.
So that was why your vison gets all deep fried
It blocks attacks too because even TLS, PLSL, railgun and machineguns are blocked by it. It's just that Stonehenge's projectile is able to pierce through the shield but even with that large kinetic energy being used for that forcefield, it's still enough to destroy the Arsenal Bird.
Mihaly (the one with many names) shows up in a couple of later missions.
Also, the three lines marking refers to the three claws etching on the rear of the plane that people can see despite your speeds. It even leads to another nickname for you, “Three Strikes.”
6-9 years I'll be here watching "Mover Ruins Gaming", thanks for yet another fun one!
Hey Mover there is a DCS campaign that tries to replicate the Ace Combat experience called Rising Squall. Its a pretty wacky campaign.
Dont play DCS, dont have the time to learn how to fly, but seeing Moover and Gonky try this sounds interesting.
I would also like to see them play that
Oh, Mover, it gets better. The game’s DLC has three “in-between-‘quel” missions based between missions 13 and 14
I’d love to see him react to AC7 super maneuverability where planes are flying backwards or flat spinning with full control.
I saw a video about how ace combat doesn’t simulate reality, it simulates what how little kids play with toy jets.
Haha your reactions are priceless. Thanks for this Mover!
@rich... I have to disagree Rich. Movers reactions are not really priceless. Our laughs are priceless. But I do agree your thanks for Mover. And if his moves are as fast as his mouth, the enemy is in trouble.
@roderickcampbell2105 yep I completely agree with you 👍
The incredulity was hilarious. "Wait, we're Commies!?"
Stonehenge, a ring of eight 1200mm/47inch anti meteor railguns designed to protect the planet from a massive asteroid and its fragments. When it failed to destroy the asteroid and its fragments,
it was realized that the weapons could be used to shoot down aircraft and henceforth it was used for that purpose.
The Arsenal Bird does indeed have a forcefield, but it was not activated until the cutscene played. Not that it was much help against Stonehenge.
Even Mover got the hots for Major McOnie. Liking this video.
PLEASE do the DLC missions. Those would be freakin hilarious
We need an ace combat 8! The game is fun as shit and looks awesome
If you are a little confused on the story ace combat 5 has a lot of backstory that clears things up.
Nice try but I don't think that's gonna get him to do a series on AC5
I think you mean 4. That’s what Stonehenge was in
@@Nico_6967 I see what you mean but I was more referring to the story overall and ace combat five gives backstory on the space elevator
@@hacoberthejacober3345 oh ok. Yeah I haven’t actually watched this video yet and I was reading comments so I could only assume you were talking about Stonehenge
Looks like AC04??
"I feel like an A-10 would be great here"
That is the biggest mistakes in this mission 😅
Just wanna say I'm happy you put up with us occasionally lmao
Honestly Ace Combat 5 has a great Story . its one you might enjoy to review
I was actually thinking that... AC5 is more squadron based... But i know that Chopper's incessant chatter would drive Mover nuts. 😆
Ain't no g overload where we're going baby
Mover become the Hero of Ace Combat fans bc he hasn't abandon the game
3 hilarious things.
1. He thought the A-10 would be perfect at the beginning lol
2. He does these so far between he doesnt remeber Trigger is the fighter with 3 lines.
3. Yes, us kids did learn about these jets from ace combat, for better and for worse lol
Well I figured it was trigger but didn’t see three lines anywhere on the jet.
@@CWLemoine true, those vertical tail surfaces weren't shown off for more than a fraction of a second. Maybe if he wasn't flying that commie jet lol
@@CWLemoinethe three lines we're originally "sin lines" that trigger got in the penal unit cause he "murdered" President harling. He decided to keep them, but modified it into an eagle claw. You can see it on the rudder of the plane
Also, the Arsenal bird has a force field. However, it isn't always active, and that is why long-range missiles can't be used against it
They had to use something that can shoot directly through the force field
I clicked on this because Mover was squinting like an old man
Ah Stonehenge, the greatest multi railgun emplacement for shooting down planet killer meteors ever developed
So assuming it's not classified how many-ish flares would a fighter jet have?
I see Ace Combat react and I always click
That's why we love ace combat. If it was too realistic we wouldn't like it that much!
Ace Combat is like the "too fast too furious" franchise but with planes, over the top action and plot...
A lot more fun in multiplayer but I don’t ever see myself playing Ace Combat after getting into DCS. But i guess AC was something of a pre-cursor to getting into flight simulation.
Ask for an A-10, and the enemy airspace gives you Flankers that are about to jump on you
A fair context of the thing seen in this mission;
20 years ago, the earth of this universe was threaten with extinction when Asteroid is bound to impact earth. The Space turret network, abbreviated as STN, codenamed as Stonehenge, was designed by Erusea nation to blast the asteroid AND intercept its fragments. It partially failed accomplishing this task as the meteor damaged one of its turret- that specific turret was meant to intercept asteroid fragement heading to the Erusea Capital 'Farbanti', decimating the capital city and causing economic, geopolitic, and border collapse of the said nation, which led to the Erusean nation to declare war and invaded its eastern neighbors, the coalition of Independent States Allied Forces (ISAF).
20 years later, the same gun that plunged this nation in economic shamble and got the whole nation into a war in Ace Combat 4 "Shattered Skies" Series (which also saw all but one of the turret network destroyed by F-22 callsign "Mobius 1") was managed to be reactivated and used to defeat one of the Arsenal bird.
Also, this gun is technically not a railgun, but a hybrid; the official designation of this gun is 120 cm anti-air-and-surface, gunpowder-and-electromagnetic hybrid acceleration-based semi-automatic fixed-gun system", and all 8 turret complexes are guided by the STN's 8,192 supercomputer to calculate trajectory of up to billions of asteroid fragments that would enter Earth's atmosphere. The supercomputer is necessary for the aiming as the supercomputer would calculate and single out any asteroid fragment that it deemed not necessary to intercept while those that are heading towards more populated area will be given the priority to be intercepted by the gun complex.
Such slick turbines .... dang those planes are artwork! :D
ace combat has some really sexy aircraft
Love it, your reactions are hilarious, and educationalz
Love these vids man, keep them up. And after ace combat 7 try project wingman. Its pretty fun.
Missed these videos. We need one Ace Combat vid a month for the next 6 years.
Mover u said it i respect that you were a piolet once before Fini flight in your block Also one day i will master those long range patrols on DCS also today i saw users not willing too engage the chinse forces but i let it go playing commander role in DCS.
Can't wait for the next one 😎the music is so good!
3:19 “I feel like an a-10 would be good here”DO NIT MAKE THIS FUCKING MISTAKE IF YOU ARE PLAYING THIS GAME
I did on Casual mode just to see how I'd fare...... I FUBAR'd
*"People complain a lot about the quality... that's not the point. It's the action"* you say, and I find myself agreeing. This game portrays rather slow Gundams that happen to be plane-shaped and named, not real aircraft. Best example of this will be Mihaly's real plane, the one with the railgun. You'll see it soon enough.
Ace combat 4 the Stonehenge offensive
Ace combat 7 the Stonehenge defensive
See its like poetry sort of it ryhmes
Most of what I know about fighter planes (admittedly not a lot) comes from me playing Jane's games as a kid and spending hours reading the manuals that came with them.
My dad used to love Jane's F/A-18
Recently, I had played Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters.
A rather generic arcade air combat game, but that is not to day it is not enjoyable
hell yeah finally, another ace combat video
Ace Combat 4 would make a better React series. 7 was fun, but 4 was better imo.
PLEASE react to 4
Assault Horizon would be a better choice
Four and five were amazing. I used to spend so much time playing those
Uhm.. no. How do you expect him to react to it if he wouldn't even be able to see? Can't use anything from the trinity, too old.
@@WhenDevilsDuel sad but true, those games are long overdue ports
"If you can bring it down its not invulnerable."
Tell that to the Invincible Aegir Fleet.
Mihaly holds his planes together with sheer will.
"What did we learn....nothing."
Gahhh!! Weren't you paying attention?? Today's lesson was on manual control!
1:25 _and I'm already gasping!_
_Oooh! _*_Railguns!_* *#Arcade*
“This is the inevitable fate Ulysses heralded in.”
Who needs jamming when you have random radio comms on every available frequency, no wonder those drones suck
That red timer was the reason why the force field wasn't on, not the mission. It took time to charge as well. But also yeah, it's a bit absurd they were so skeptical of just eyeballing it. Especially for anyone who played AC4 would know that you probably don't even need to land a direct hit, the thing works by creating a massive shockwave that kills everything flying in it's area. As long the shot was close it would probably would've still work.
Dont worry, the old man with many names who can withstand more Gs than most pilots in our Air Force today is still around. He couldn't make a guest appearance cause Su-30s dont carry a lot of fuel and there were no tanker aircraft in that region, also he doesn't like sand, it is course, and rough, and it gets everywhere. Also, after the Penal Unit Saga, Trigger is known as "Three-strikes" or as you say it, "The pilot with the three-line marking".
i just absolutely love how Mover doesn't care about anything other than complaining about how realistic it should be, or making jokes, i just love it
Fun aside im quireaazed at your gun used and precision....you never pull the stick too hard bit uses gravity and jow thr plane falls to adjust your trajectory.
I learned something there. Thanks for the tip
Almost at Mission 15!
I know it is a little out there, but it would be cool to see your reaction to some of the Warthunder update trailers. Ones like Danger Zone, Apex Predators, and Attila
I always thought the "Victory is ours" trailer was one of the best game trailers ever released.
when is mover plays ace combat coming out?
I'd like to leave a suggestion here for a reaction on Area 88. Originally a manga produced from 1979 all the way until the mid-1980s, it got 3 animated OVAs in 1985 that can be found on RUclips, or at least certain clips of it, like the infamous canyon flight scene, which actually inspired Ace Combat's canyon flights. There's both the original 1985 OVAs (superior) and the 2004 anime (inferior, heavy use of early 2000s CGI).
The story follows a young airline pilot named Shin Kazama that got duped by his own friend into signing a contract for the Aslan Foreign Legion (a fictional Middle Eastern country inspired by pre-revolution Iran, even though Iran also co-exists in this universe), during thr Civil War against the rebels. The contract cannot be invalidated, and you can only return home after paying a couple of millions of dollars, serving at least 3 years with the Legion or, the risky way, trying to flee from Aslan (which will place a bounty on your head).
Using MiG-31 for ground attack is wild
Never fly the A-10 in AC7.... it's a trap!
Actually there are 2 F-117s with Su-35 escorts I believe if you go to the right place.
3:04 We ALL did on our first playthrough.
I always thought the 25 and 31 had a goofy looking engine to rest of the plane ratio.

A Common thing in Ace Combat is that there are many Missions where an A-10 would be great UNTIL you get a Mission update and suddenly the Sky is either filled with an Airship or Speaking Latin.
I
You should do Ace Combat 5 afterwards. The story was actually pretty good and I feel like you have some good stuff to comment on with it
@@Grey8270 then don't watch it. Crazy idea, eh?
I play DCS. But I also sometimes love to pewpew with ace combat 7. The air to ground action, with all those ridiculous weapons, are great fun. Have you guys btw tried Project wingman..?
Projecy Wingman is the shit
I love how in project wingman taking a multicrew aircraft actual adds a character to the story that talks to you
Bring Gonky next time?
the three-line marking plane is you , the protagonist, AKA trigger 😄
Mover I love this reaction video.. I love your sarcasm remark. Please finish this series.
When you react to the next mission, make sure to listen to the music in the background
Clarification on the whole radio jumble thingy. Uh, in the prisoner arc count had installed a spare radio in our aircraft cockpit. So we kinda have a lore explanation for why we can hear everyone

Congratulations passing 400k subs!
These Ace Combat episodes are so funny.
By the way “the 3 lines (scratches)” is trigger
I always be a pilot fight jet this game is cool
I know it's super old, and probably doesn't have any gameplay videos, but you do ace combat 04: shattered skies? First ever real flight game I bought, miss playing it dearly.
You should check out the X-02 strike wyvern from this game it's awesome
Maj. McOnie "They're too unreliable"

I don't know which is funnier... watching a Foxhound engage in air to ground strafing runs, or watching a Foxhound get into a dogfight... even with Nighthawks!
AC7 may not be realistic, but it is entertaining.
theres a swedish guy who did a video about why ace combat is... this way
Don't forget Lemoine after Mission 13 react to the 3 DLC missions before you react to mission 14. They're set in between.
The A10 is not good for this mission haha
Don't let me design a fantasy jet for the Ace Combat franchise. Lemoine would have a heart attack just seeing how stupid my aircraft would be. 🤪
Ok, that was fun! Now, instead of a MiG-31, with lasers, shouldn't they have used an Su-25, also with lasers? Just askin' 🤣
Trigger is the pilot with the three lines.
a10 is ok but is limited with 4 agm fired at once in game. The f35 actualy gets to fire 8 agm at once. mixed with the cannon radar lock modification (pivots the aircrafts MG to hit target) the mission can be alot easier. mission sucked to get a no hit playthrough medal in
good thing rusky air in this game is as goos as its on paper and not as bad as in real world.
