Hi Asha I use to go through this with my best friend. She once gas lighted me trying to make it seem like she says sorry whenever we disagree even though she was the reason for those disagreements. For ex. I had called her. She didnt answer and texted back what do you want. I thought that that was disrespectful so I didn't text back. Later on she called me asking if I was mad and apologized after I expressed how I felt. A few months later she brought up the fact that I was stubborn and how she apologizes just for the sake of our friendship and her trying to be the bigger person because I never apologized for a disagreement she started. This isn't the first gaslighting I've experienced but the most recent.

Gaslighting is a major behavior of a narcissist . They can never see their faults and they ghost because they can’t see anyone’s feelings outside of their own. That’s why they fall under the same umbrella all narcissistic behaviors smh!! The same thing happened to a friend of mines she was dating mr. My ex blatantly lied to me (said he was going on a boys weekend when there were actually many girls there too). I found out and confronted him for lying, I was so so sad, stressed and devastated. He told me "to be clear, I didn't lie, I just didn't tell you everything." This made me feel crazy and like I exaggerated everything in my head. But no--I now know I didn't. Withholding part of the truth is the same thing as lying. Don't ever let anyone try to convince you otherwise.

This is what happened to me on last year's Valentine's but i came to realize that gas lighting is mostly done by narcs who are in more than one relationship so they start up the fire and run away just because they are concentrated on the other relationship, they will then pop up later back to u and may do the same to the other partner on the other side.

I got ghosted a few months ago completely confused and devastated but biggest take away was nothing happens by accident and just letting it all go the guy , the possible reasons and closure. Closure really comes from understanding that u deserve much much more

One guy referred to me as having a “ Princess Complexity” just because I exuded Character, Integrity and Class..none of which he possessed btw. Whenever i I reflect on this, I usually smile and wish him well.
In most cases they date several women, and when they ghost you, it's mostly bc they decided for another woman. Some people tell you this reason, some don't bc they don't got a good character.

I didnt know what "gaslighting" was until I married my functioning-alcoholic-narcissist and I went to counseling because I started to think I was losing my mind and all the while it was him with manipulations and lies! he accused me of being bipolar and angry and it was because he did or said something to get me to argue just picking at me. He would push my buttons to get me mad...very important learn to love your self, work on your self confidence, learn to set boundaries and expectations. that's how you overcome and avoid narcissist. listening to you right now reminds me of similar conversations where I said some of the same things you said to my ex. I am sooo glad it's over and I was able to get out intact..
I was being accused of so many things by my ex. I’ve always been respectful to him while he wasn’t in many ways but I would hear him every day saying how I’m too insecure, that I’m gonna cheat on him because of that, that I’m playing victim, I like drama etc. to the point where I was getting so anxious. Found out he had a whole plan of getting back with his ex from a message he sent to his friend, yet he blamed me because he claims I wasn’t supportive enough of him(which is false). That was the last straw for me. I still struggle with blaming myself after the breakup because I was being accused of so much and I’m scared to date again, he was my first relationship. I went through that trying to "fix him, thinking it was me, etc. after about 4 session my counselor said you do realize that you are in an abusive relationship and he is gaslighting you!! I came to realization as well and why I recommend counseling to everyone!! after that situation my self esteem took a hit being plagued with self doubt and I started listening to you and other life couches on RUclips around 2018, thats when I made up my mind and left him!! you are one of the people that helped me to put the pieces back. Now here I am 2020 my emotional state is much better and healthier and I have higher self value than I did before. I have a situation where i think i might be getting gaslighted. not sure but here are some examples: a guy lying straight to my face and when i confront him about it, he says im always blaming him and trying to find negative things to say about him. or when i get mad at him for some fkd up things he does, he sometimes deletes me from his social media or blocks me and waits for me to come back to him and apologize for getting mad. which i always do cause i care for him very much and dont want to loose him. he also withholds information and cant tell thing as they are, so im constantly feeling confused and left out. this is very disturbing since he still tells me he cares for me and to some level likes me. i find this hard to believe since i just cant see it in his actions. is there anything i can do other than deleting him from my life?
Ask yourself do I want a guy who lies to me? You are changing certain standards to please him. If you continue, you’ll be more emotionally invested and it will be harder to get over it. Love is easy not difficult. Make sure you move on whatever it takes. Hope you are okay now. I been in a similar situation. It will run you dry emotionally.

I am guilty of ghosting. I drew back from a co-worker because she gossips. I observed that she would tell our coworkers a lie about me, even though I told her the truth. I told her I would keep my distance. I am no longer comfortable around her.

I came to realization as well and why I recommend counseling to everyone!! after that situation my self esteem took a hit being plagued with self doubt and I started listening to you and other life couches on RUclips around 2018, thats when I made up my mind and left him!! you are one of the people that helped me to put the pieces back.
Now here I am 2020 my emotional state is much better and healthier and I have higher self value than I did before. I am stronger than ever my faith in God and myself is rock solid!!

This reminds me of my ex. I found out he was cheating on me for the whole 2 1/2 years we were together. I reached out to the girl he was cheating on me with to let her know we were being played ( she didn’t care, still stayed w him ). He flipped out on me for reaching out to her and said he could never trust me again. I should of never did that, calling me crazy blah blah .. smh is he serious ??

Your videos taught me that no matter how pretty you are grown/boys will try you and will “win” unless you know how to spot foolishness and call 🛑 it out immediately or walking away.
One thing that a lot of people fail to realize as well is that the gaslighting described in this video doesn’t have to come from a boyfriend/girlfriend. Relatives can pull this same type of psychological manipulation and be just as awful, regardless of age and gender.

I have a situation where i think i might be getting gaslighted. not sure but here are some examples: a guy lying straight to my face and when i confront him about it, he says im always blaming him and trying to find negative things to say about him. or when i get mad at him for some fkd up things he does, he sometimes deletes me from his social media or blocks me and waits for me to come back to him and apologize for getting mad. which i always do cause i care for him very much and dont want to loose him. he also withholds information and cant tell thing as they are, so im constantly feeling confused and left out. this is very disturbing since he still tells me he cares for me and to some level likes me. i find this hard to believe since i just cant see it in his actions. is there anything i can do other than deleting him from my life?

Ask yourself do I want a guy who lies to me? You are changing certain standards to please him. If you continue, you’ll be more emotionally invested and it will be harder to get over it. Love is easy not difficult. Make sure you move on whatever it takes. Hope you are okay now. I been in a similar situation. It will run you dry emotionally.

I am guilty of ghosting. I drew back from a co-worker because she gossips. I observed that she would tell our coworkers a lie about me, even though I told her the truth. I told her I would keep my distance. I am no longer comfortable around her.
