I just recently got my PA CC, and have been searching for the right gun & this seems to be the one I am leaning towards. Your video helped a lot with all the info. I was down at Cabela's in Delaware checking them out this past weekend; they have in the XDS series the 9, 40 & 45 in the 3.3 & 4 inch. I was going to go for the .45 but this has mean thinking the 9 will be enough for concealed carry. I remember reading last year how there was a problem with these with certain ammunition getting caught. Supposedly that has been fixed, but to be on the safe side just stay away from those brands. The ammo you are using, also seem to come up a lot as the favorite for this gun. Thanks again, will be purchasing soon!
Great looking gun, I purchased it in 9mm. Unfortunately after multiple range visits with different ammo and different lubes used it is not reliable in feeding and is terrible difficult to shoot with my medium sized hands. Sig P365 I can headshot targets 1 handed. This firearm has so much muzzle flip even 2 handed I'll never carry it. Try before you buy! I learned my lesson.
I have the exact same setup for my concealed carry, the pierce magazine extension, the talon rubber grip and also the crossbreed iwb holster. I have also had the same experience with the critical duty rounds. I am always amazed how accurate this firearm is and it is very comfortable carrying concealed. My only concern with this firearm is that the backend of the recoil spring that sits on the underside of the barrel gets a little roughed up with use. Worst case would be replacing the recoil spring if it gets roughed up too much.
I use to CC my XD subcompact in 40c, I now use it as home defense because I CC M&P shield 9mm almost everywhere I Go!.. Love it, which brings me to your video. I can't help but feel like I'm missing out on something, my cousin and his friend has the XDs in 9mm they swear by that Gun, they let me shoot there gun at the range and they shot mine and I still think my shield is a better shooter Plus I don't like how aggressive the handle is on the XDs that's why I'm checking out this video to see if I'm missing anything because again I love my XD subcompact
Well the first rule in choosing a firearm is always to pick the gun which feels best in your hand. Not every gun is going to be made for everybody. A few of my guys have the shield and love it, but thats why theres pretty much three guns that most use as a CC... XDS, Shield and baby glock 43
Okay, I'm too lazy to look, but doesn't Pearce make a +1 pinky extension for the Xds? I mistakenly bought one like yours for my Glock 43, thinking it was the +1 version. They make both and they are virtually the same size! Now I have both, but the former extension will never be used. I ordered a 9mm Xds -- grey frame/black slide with Crimson Trace a few days ago. I'm excited to meet my newest gun.
+JPerro Precision Outdoors thanks a bunch! Will be picking up the gun in 2 days! Im getting the gray frame version and think its a very good looking firearm as well. Great vid
Got the stainless bi-tone. Love it. Great concealable fighting pistol
Great review! Seems to be one of the most honest and straightforward reviews on this pistol on RUclips. Thanks for posting.
Thanks, let me kno if theres anything else you'd like a review on.. I appreciate the comments

Best looking subcompact pistol IMO. Thanks for sharing.
+Shaka260 Thanks a lot man, I def agree with you!
JPerro Precision Outdoors is this the same size as luger lc9s?
I have an XDs and it came with a pinky extension for the 7 round mag.

I agree.. That tends to be an issue with a lot of Springfield pistols
Hey JP I’m waiting for my permit to go through, when it does I was gonna pick up the 9 and 40 for my concealed weapon and home defense

thanks for doing this..just got one and could not agree more with what you said
Thanks man.. I really love the gun, lemme know what your thoughts are after you get some more rounds down range!!
JPerro, fabulous review. For a total gun newbie wanting a gun for home defense only--I'm 5'4" 135 lbs.--would you recommend the 3.3" or 4" version?
Carrie Moore are you only planning on keeping the gun in ur home and not concealing out of ur home?

Do you recommend the talon grips you put on yours?
Looks like the trigger "locked" to the rear after performing the trigger demo around the 15:18 mark? Why did the trigger not "fall" back forward?
David Young pre recall pistol.
Does the pinkie extension make the gun print at all when cc?
The pinkie extension feels likes it not even there.. Its so small and the design uses the least amount of surface area as possible
+JPerro Precision Outdoors thanks a bunch! Will be picking up the gun in 2 days! Im getting the gray frame version and think its a very good looking firearm as well. Great vid
+Trey Fisse thanks a lot, i like the version youre gonna get. Its a cool look for the firearm

I want to see that 'ride god' inside the pistol.
I thought that was what he said. That's called a spooner-ism
