“What’s the worst way a session has ended for you?”
A player was a fairy and was racist to the pixies in the Faewild. He got told to not be racist to the pixies that were helping him but he was so drunk that he argued FOR racism in the REAL world. I haven’t talked to him for 2.5 years now.
Worst way a session has ended for me:
Almost the entire party died, only one person survived. The surviving person skinned my Leonin and wore her pelt for the rest of the campaign with the new characters.
I’m going to be as straight forward with this: WHO THE FUCK ALLOWED THAT?!?
I can't imagine staying in a campaign where the DM was forcing my character to sleep with NPCs. That gives me the ick!

The transformation story would have immediately had me say "ok so this character is completely out of my control, I'm gonna let her be an NPC and play a new character"
There are SO MANY reasons why that story is awful and genuinely disturbing and my heart goes out to OP
In regards to the worst way a session has ended:
I was invited to play in a game of Lost Mines of Phandelver that had various changes made to keep things interesting. The DM was someone who had been in the D&D space for quite a while, but I believe this was his first time properly running a game.
Additionally, the DMs wife was playing too. She was also relatively new but definitely eager and excited because she would always dress up as her Druid character for the sessions. It was honestly great to see!
Near the end of one of our sessions, our party had heard about a dragon. The conversation also implied they weren’t particularly far away but we didn’t learn anything beyond that. So the DMs wife asked if she could roll a nature check to see if she had any idea about this dragon since her character was from the area we were in and because she was a Druid. The DM was hesitant about it, but his wife rolled anyway out of excitement, and she got a natural 20.
Even though she was very excited about her roll, the DM had responded pretty poorly. He angrily started listing off the stat sheet of a dragon. Before he could finish, his wife had simply left the table. The worst part about all of this is that the entire thing was being live streamed in front of a decent amount of people from their community.

We were level one, first session. My character had just bought a baby goat at a market when the group was transported to a new realm. After some fruitless fighting, which resulted in us running away, we ended up trapped with a starved powerful being and a sacrificial bowl.
The being would basically not respond to us at all. We tried for two out game hours to offer that we follow him, that we'll try to convince others to follow him. Our paladin was having a serious crisis, because he didn't want to swear or even sacrifice anything to the being. It took more time, more non responding or one word responses from the being. Finally our paladin broke and we had all cut our palms and offered out blood to the being. The being seemed a little more likely to send us back home now, but still barely responded. It wasn't enough.
It had been three out game hours of us being locked in a room with it. I was having a head ache at this point and finally did what seemed to be the whole point that the dm was trying to make. I sacrificed my baby goat. Finally we were sent home, just for the dm to reveal that we just had to say that we would convince everyone in our village to pledge allegiance to the being, that the goat did not need to be killed. We just hadn't said those exact words. It was 1 am, we were all tired and after they left I cried.
The ‘worst’ way a session has ended for me is pretty tame in comparison to some stories. I was going to be away from the table for a month or so and talked about how my fey warlock could maybe go back to the feywild for a bit and the timey wimey stuff could explain however long i was gone for. The DM refused to commit or tell me how he was going to explain my characters absence. Found out at the end of the session - it was a random magic surge that transformed my PC into a goat and made her the butt of jokes for the entire time i was gone. I was maybe a little overly sensitive, and clearly got upset at feeling a little made fun of by a fairly new group, so the DM reached out to me after to check in. I said I was disappointed about being a joke for the time I was gone and he revealed i’d swapped places magically with a goat, the goat wasn’t my PC. which i wouldn’t have minded if i’d just known about it! just felt laughed at rather than laughed with.
Will confirm got the new t shirts. And what constitutes hot there, I'm sure it would only be Texas warm.

My worst session ending was my DM revealed in session that my character has a button on their leg that turns all his stats to 6. He then threatened to push it every single time I did something he didn't like. Example, hit the enemy on my initiative turn, roll a skill check or speak.
I was playing a warforged barbarian.

The dryad story was horrifying and such a violation of her character and her own values, I can only imagine how that would've felt. I hope she left that table and gave the DM a piece of her mind, jfc.

Story 1) That kinda happened to me. It was my last game with my old group, as I was moving away in a couple of days. One of the party's rangers decided to coup de grace my wizard after she was downed by the monster we were fighting (which was a black naga, and way above the pay grade for a bunch of 1st level characters). The DM allowed me to come back as a revenant and kill the ranger because his choice to kill off a fellow PC was bullshit, and i killed him back. Not exactly how I wanted to leave my old group.
Story 2) This is why, if you're planning on climbing a mountain, you acquire mountaineering equipment. Rope, spikes, crampons, pickaxe/hammer, etc. If used properly, the PC should only fall 10 or 20 feet before the rope stops him. Climb up a mountain with nothing but your hands and feet seeking ledges to grip onto? One bad roll and you're dead.
i would've left call walked home gotten tf out of there and told them to let me know when they revert it. idc I'll leave and never play with them again. i can't imagine how violated idve felt in her situation.
The transformation story is even sadder when you realize the OP responded negatively to people calling their DM creepy for all that stuff. Like they were getting pretty angry at people accusing the DM for being a creep and defended his behavior by saying he's just "sex positive"
Like, no, you can't literally force a player's character to change into a very sexual character like that (who also forces themselves on NPCs) and call yourself sex positive.
That monster girl story is one I've heard elsewhere, but it's insane to do that to a player character. And I'll bet that no one else in the party has an issue with it right now, but if OP were to infect the rest of them and make them all basically the DM's sex-assault NPC toys that are forced to jump on and breed with every living thing they see, they'd all get sick of it really fast.
2020 I stopped playing d&d and started doing doordash while being furloughed for my regular job so it was a weird time or I literally was out of work while still being employed and working way more than ever before because George was like almost as soon as an essential service in the US

My favorite player drunk during D&D story is playing hoard of the dragon queen. It was fairly early on in the campaign where most of the party except for my cleric went out on Castle ramparts to see if they could calm a baby blue dragon down. Our DM said he was going to 6D6 damage. The player who playing a barbarian SHOUTED oh 66 damage i'm fine. Then start narrating what his character was doing after the breath attack. The rest us of where like no not 66 damage hes going to roll 6D6 to determine damage of just the breath weapon.
Such a barbarian power move lol

1:06:00 Story 4 (I think?): I've heard this story before on a couple of other YT channels. It sounds to me like the DM is a big fan of the Japanese Manga "Monster Girl Encyclopedia", and decided to base his campaign on said manga. His decision to make the character change into a dryad and be obsessed with seducing and enslaving men seems to me like hes just trying to stay true to the source material. That's not what the DM did wrong. What he did wrong was not informing his players that he was basing his campaign on Monster Girl Encyclopedia. Furthermore, in adapting the manga to D&D, taking away his players agency was the wrong move. Any time you take a player's agency away, it should only ever be a short term, temporary type of thing. Like with lycanthropy, for example. If your character is cursed with lycanthropy, then on the three nights of the full moon you lose control over your character and the DM takes over. The DM should have treated the dryad in a similar fashion. Maybe the dryad has to make a WIS Saving Throw vs DC 5 to maintain control. Then every day that passes, add +1 to the DC. Eventually the druid/dryad will have a bad roll, or the DC will become too high for the player to succeed. THAT'S when the player loses agency and the DM takes over. As soon as the dryad's lust has been satisfied, the WIS saves start over again at DC 5.
I'd like to point out that, personally, I'm not a prude. I have played in NSFW games with sexual content, and had fun. I know that there are several anime and manga that would make for great inspiration for DM campaign settings. Bondage Fairies, Spunky Knight, Monster Girl Encyclopedia, and Magic Woman Meruru are all excellent examples of this. There are also plenty of books for including sex as part of your game. The Book Of Erotic Fantasy, The Book Of Passion, The Book Of Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, The Quintessential Temptress, and Encyclopedia Arcane: Nymphology are excellent examples of these (I have the pdfs of all of them). Including sex as part of your game isn't a bad thing. Nor is changing D&D monsters to make them resemble those from the above mentioned manga (in Magical Woman Meruru, sahaugen are somewhat like the magog from Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, at least in how they procreate). What's bad is not telling your players that that's what you're going to be doing at Session 0. You have to keep your players informed of stuff like this. Otherwise theyll get pissed off and leave.

This one's a double combo because it was the first sesh and we never played again after the fall-out! Played in a D&D homebrew with an all vampire squad, DM had made homebrew vamp rules - especially about the importance of feeding DAAAAILY to get long rest benefits. So of course towards the end of day my lvl 10 Druid vampire stalked off after a wounded guard that went into the woods alone to get her daily nibble in. And OF COURSE I thought it would be easy. Dear reader ... it was not easy. What proceeded was a horrible combat in which the guard saved on nearly all of my spells, blocked nearly all of my attacks, and chomped through all of my Wildshape HP before nearly killing me -- all the while the DM commenting "don't know why you thought it was smart to attack her" etc.
Nearly cried! Party jumped in to talk to the DM and we ended things then and there. 'Twas years ago, I am happily playing with a new squad now!
I was super fortunate that I got to START playing D&D because of COVID! My current group is the same group (minus one person) of internet friends from that very first campaign. I’ve never played another way so I’m quite the opposite of many traditional players lol
