Only around 56 SNES games, a few Atari 2600 games, a bunch of PS1/PS2, games only one N64 game, and a Game Shark that I forgot that I actually had all along, a small collection if you compare it for most collectors, but I'm not really into game collecting, just wanting to play mine that I used to have during the 90s... Only, other games got added along the way, I didn't even know those did existed at the time and a bunch of there were great games in the end.... Goes without saying that I also got an SNES console and a PS2...

I was the bias SNES fanboy back in 16 bit era. But I outgrew that a long time ago and learned to appreciate what the Genesis brought to the table, with time.
Super Nintendo, I love this console heart. Too much has marked my adolescence with its incredible varieties of games! Incredible time I've never forgotten. I venture to say; Best video game of all time!
Totally agree. This is, bar none, the best RUclips channel devoted to classic console games. Joe and Dave like to make fun of their not-ready-for-prime-time personas, but they have become quite skilled presenters over the years.
Game Sack Dave You're welcome and please keep up the great work. I went to Funspot this weekend in New Hampshire and for some reason made me think of you guys. I was really proud that I flipped Galaga - got 999,950 and the score stopped advancing. It took me about 45 minutes. I've never done that before!
When it comes to Mega Man, fans typically aren't big on 7 because the larger sprites meant for less maneuvering room, less reaction time to enemies and obstacles coming on screen, and Mega Man's movements feeling different to compensate for it. I like the game fine, it's not the best but I appreciate what it was going for and it's still fun to play. X on the other hand ranks in my favorite games on the SNES. I like the more mature art direction and story, I like the mix of classic gameplay with new abilities and collectibles, and I love that the boss weapons all feel useful. Plus the music is some of the best on the SNES, I would honestly put that soundtrack on par with even Squaresoft's 16-bit efforts.
I love pretty much all the Mega Man games...it was just tough for me to go back to the classic roots of Mega Man 7 after playing the Hell out of Mega Man X...
I picked up all 5 SNES Megaman games from Japan recently, and Rockman and Forte is probably my favourite just to pick up and play: the music is amazing (like the soundtrack to a great summer vacation or something), the graphics blew me away when I first played the ROM, and it has battery backup and tight control. The game IS pretty hard but it has an upgrade system and rewards replay. I feel like a lot of modern gamers don't have the patience for it, because the platforming's tricky and those robot masters are absolute motherf****rs! Burner Man is still the coolest robot master design ever, and even their little intro animations are incredibly impressive for SNES! It's also cool how each character has their pros+cons: Rock has stronger shots, much better support items and better defense low to the ground, but lousy mobility (no Rush Coil/Jet); Forte can shoot in 7 directions and totally dominates aerial mobility, but has a weak buster and no recovery/shield options. This is a truly great game that gets unfairly s*** upon for changing the formula a bit, but I love the whole vibe of this game. I'd choose X second because I remember how to get all the items so it makes a good game to beat in one setting. The 3 X games are all pretty comparable and all very good if you don't mind picking up the reasonably-priced Japanese versions of the last 2. MM7 though...they tried some cool stuff to add replay and it keeps classic stuff like the Rush abilities, but it's like TJ said: the movement is horribly stiff, like you're always JUST BARELY able to make jumps. In general this feels like Megaman's "awkward teens" (I love MM8, BTW) because he's so damn awkward and VULNERABLE: you take elemental damage from fire and ice, there's s*** like Freeze Man and Slash Man's stuns, your invulnerability period is noticeably shorter, and worst of all: your charged shot does a measly 2 damage! This all makes it pretty hard for me to really enjoy this one like the rest of them...really, I don't know why people seem to give this game a pass on its handicap-based difficulty yet slag on R+F for having challenging platforming and boss fights that at least control well.
You right, man. People didnt realize that the "bigger" sprites in in fact showing these games are running in a low resolution mode of the console, like most SNES games to run smooth, cause it means less work for the processor. like I think 80% of SNES games. So most of the games are slow paced. Not means they're not enjoyying they are just not my type.
I think with Secret of Mana, it was the environments. The lush grassy areas, the endless desert, the crystal forest. So many places with unique looks and feels.
Played so many hours of Street Fighter II Turbo, Starfox and Lufia 2 on this thing. Was too poor to have any other games at the time lol, so never played Super Mario World or Link to the Past until much later in life. Still, the SNES was great!
I don't know if it was mentioned, but the reason the cartridges were altered to defeat the whole cartridge lock was due to a mechanical failure that affected a decent number of SNESes. Early SNESes had a plastic piece that would move with the power switch, locking the game in place, and making it near impossible for the cartridge to pop out of the console. The intention was definitely a good one, but the plastic inside the console could sometimes break, leaving the switch in a "locked" state. While this seems minor, it was a huge problem due to how the lock worked. When you slide the switch forward, the mechanism actually slides to a somewhat offset angle, making it extremely difficult for the switch to just slide back into place unless you applied an even amount of pressure along the lock tab. Also, the space between the chassis and the cartridge was very narrow, and the lock was fairly deep, which just added to the problem. As mentioned before, the new SNESes had the lock tab removed completely, but Nintendo redesigned the carts so that anyone who had an older, working SNES with the lock tab could play games without worry that their carts would get stuck inside. Well, at least the newer ones.
Also, it took me many years to finally discover why the carts had been altered. It was probably published in some gaming magazine somewhere, but I rarely had those. Just wanted to clarify in case anyone was curious about the lock.
Doesn't the Super Famicom work the same way? I opened that up and to my recollection pretty much all of the internal parts were directly interchangeable with early SNES units. They never changed the design of the Super Famicom carts.
Quite possible, yes. It might have been that the failure rate was lower in Japan due to the children there probably not being as abusive as us silly Americans are to our consoles. I just remember reading that that was the reason why. Doing a bit more reading into it, it looks as though only the first year made US SNESes had the lock tab. Apparently this was in place due to a pico fuse that could be blown (rendering the system a brick) if the game pak was removed while the power was on. However, Nintendo was getting a bunch of customer support calls about stuck cartridges. In a move to not only remove the lock (and some other minor components), but save money as well, they made another revision to the system, added a sticker below the power switch, and began using the new style cartridges. That's what I'm gleaning from a number of blogs and other tech documents that I'm seeing. Again, I couldn't tell you why the PAL or NTSC-J versions didn't remove these features. I guess NOA was just picky like that.
Atlink I have one SNES that had that sticker. I removed it and washed away the residue. Those are the one-chip models and actually have crisper RGB output since they don't have a low-pass filter on the video like most early SNES units do, rendering them pretty blurry. Sadly these units can do odd things. I wasn't able to record Chrono Trigger with it because the sync would spazz out whenever a dialog box came on screen.
I too have one of those units, but the problem is a little deeper for me, as my image presents a faint yellow-brown column of pixels around halfway across the screen. But I believe it's a physical hardware issue. Possibly a cold solder joint or something. If there's an image on the screen, the line isn't noticeable at all. If there is blackness, however, it's very noticeable. I'm just happy my SNES isn't yellowed and works.
25 years. This year marks 25 years since I bought my SNES-- the first console that I ever bought with my own money. Despite the console's age, as this video shows, many of its games still hold up remarkably well to this day. I still remember the games I bought for it at the time: F-Zero, Final Fantasy II, and ActRaiser-- in addition to Super Mario World, which came with the console. It wasn't long before I bought John Madden Football (so, so bad), Pilotwings, and Final Fight... and that was just the start. I was very much a Nintendo fan back then, up until Sony stole me away with the PlayStation in 1995. I have tons of memories... from playing and beating a Final Fantasy game for the first time, to deciding to buy the last copy of Street Fighter II from Kay-Bee Toys (and snapping my SNES controller in half when I couldn't beat M. Bison... which was DUMB of me), to the amazement I felt when playing Donkey Kong Country for the first time. The SNES era was my early adult life, and it was a great time. Thanks so much for putting this episode together. I loved every minute... and you continue to make some of the best episodic content out there. It takes a lot of effort and coordination, and it always shows.
26 years and 4 months for me, and I still own it! Mine was the Mario Set with the All Stars+Mario World cart. Broke one controller but that was from wearing it out. Same with a Playstation controller.
Definitely my all time favorite console and it was damn well covered here. A very good combination of well known titles(Super Mario World/All Stars/RPG, Super Metroid, Castlevania VI/Drac X, Mega Man 7/X1-3, Contra 3) to less talked about titles(Nosferatu, Ninjawarriors, Demon's Crest, Axelay). Instant favorite episode here guys. Thanks for the lengthy and comprehensive coverage of the best console of all time, imo. \,,/
Really liked the Capcom coverage here as well. Which reminds me, can't wait for some more publisher episodes. Capcom, Technosoft, Konami, Squaresoft...
Joe! I agree 100%...SNES in my opinion Nintendo's best system. I grew up collecting Nintendo systems and felt like a traitor when I bought a Dreamcast (only because Castlevania was coming out at that time for the Dreamcast) but man...N64 was a huge disappointment for me and so was the Wii...Wii U is what the regular Wii should've been. I did enjoy the GameCube a lot though :)
Caveat/add on... watching the NAMCO episode .... yes Sega’s Smash pack was my first experience to the Sega Genesis ...I had a cousin tell me the sound was off! I was like nahhhhhh It’s all good lol
35:59 Did not expect Harvest Moon on here, but thanks for introducing me to the series. Been enjoying Story of Seasons Trio of Towns and can't wait for the Switch game!
An awesome console with so many great games. The 2D sprite graphics have aged much better than early 3D graphics you'd see on consoles like the PS1 and Sega Saturn too. They're still really appealing whereas early blocky 3D graphics look butt ugly now.
The snes might be my favorite video game system. It has the best games from every type like puzzles and beat em ups. And now that it is easier for anyone to play the games, now anyone can experience the beauty of this system.
15:46- There is a new translation patch for a more accurate translation like the names and dialogue aswell as fancy dialogue added. Still want you guys to do an NES/Famicom and PSP Episode afterwards.
Christmas, 1991, I was a Genesis Fanboy. My younger brother got the SNES and Actraiser. The upon seeing the game in action, I literally wept. The graphics, the music, they just made my Genesis seem like a ColecoVision! I had gotten Ghouls 'n Ghosts, and my brother rented Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts; Game over Genesis! And then there was Castlevania IV.....never looked back after seeing that game! Sold my Genesis and 25 games to my older brother and bought a SNES and FFII!
I had a nightmare two nights ago that you guys had a big fight and quit being friends and started doing separate shows... I was so sad in the dream, and so happy when I woke up and realized it wasn't real!
I heard that the shape of the SNES was altered for the USA SNES, because many people damaged their NES systems, by spilling drinks into the NES system as they used it as a cupholder, and thereby spilled a good number of beverages into the NES since it's top was flat. This issue was brought up by someone from Nintendo allegedly brought up by the high number of repairs for the NES needed due to the spilled drinks. Hence the redesign was put into action. At least so I was told in a different Utube video. Love your guy's content.
I love that since your hiatus you guys aren't shying away from games that everyone and their dog have covered before. Don't get me wrong, I also love that you guys bring less talked about games that definitely need some love to the spotlight all the time. But you guys have already earned mad respect from me over the years I've watched your show, and I like to see now what your opinions are on super popular games. I hope you don't feel like you're selling out! I love you guys. Keep it up!
Just started watching, but figured I'd butt in with an FYI: "If you want anything other than composite video with it, then you can go to hell." Officially, yes, but the successful Kickstarter for SNES and Genesis component cables literally just bore fruit like, two weeks ago, and I picked up some SNES component cables last week for $50 from them... and believe it or not, they work perfectly! Crystal clear 240p display. I highly recommend it -- it's literally just component-out cables that hook up to the SNES video-out like any other SNES cables. Don't know what sort of magic they used, but whatever it is, it looks beautiful!
It's possible your SNES Jr could have been modded for RGB. I've never heard of any coming stock with RGB though. The HD Retrovision guys have a chip in their cable which transcodes component from RGB.
Yeah, I know it's just transcoded, but it looks SO GOOD on an HDTV. Virtually indistinguishable from the Retron-5's SNES output (provided I'm not using any filters, anyway).
Wait, what? I've can use composite, s-video and RGB-scart on my SNES. But that's an european SNES. It's got that same connector that the N64 and GameCube(?) uses.
But really, how dare you talk about Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and NOT mention the *amazing* cave music? Or DKC2 and that epic track "Stickerbrush Symphony"? It's a crime! Just teasin', but they are awesome songs. Also.. talking about Earthbound, "nothing new here"? The 'rolling HP' mechanic was quite innovative and different compared to other RPGs! I can forgive overlooking that though. :) Great episode, enjoyed the length!
Whoo! The long-awaited SNES episode. Thanks for doing a great job as always, guys. And Joe, I was very happy to hear your review of F-Zero. I agree that it's a fun game and much more than a gimmick.
Great video! One small correction for you, you mention it can't do better than composite, but the SNES can actually natively output RGB to scart. Much, much better image than composite.
they wont cause there console gamers and hate on personal computers aka pcs they are so into fangeekdom of consoles they will never understand pc master race like we do
Great episode guys, you never disappoint. I remember as a kid seeing the SNES at the store and buying it for $99 solely because it was bundled with Link to the past. Glad I was fortunate enough to have both the SNES and the Genesis in my childhood.
Thanks for amazing 45 minutes of pure and high quality entertainment! And Dave, for me either the BEST console of all time! ;-) And Joe, I love your stop motion animations!
It's all subjective and there's no such thing because everyone's taste is different but yeah definitely one of the best. If I really had to pick one I'd go with Ps2 though due to its sheer variety and size.
Do more TurboGrafx 16 and PC engine games! And at the beginning of the show talk about it's two graphics processors and it's 512 colors pallet and how it uses 482 of them on screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably the best console of all time, that was the Nintendo that i grew up and i loved, now its a shell of his former self. I hope one one day Nintendo fix the current direction and comeback to the top of the gaming mountain with their greatness. #MakeNintendoGreatAgain
Great video guys, as always. Got to disagree with the Ninja Warriors soundtrack, must be one of the best soundtracks I've heard, everyone got different tastes I guess. Thanks for your good work guys :-) 👍
***** I do really like the novelty of the 16-bit FMV episode, and I really like Left in Japan and those other related episodes, as well as the Left in Arcade episodes. Oh, and the episodes talking about publishers, and obscure system episodes like the Turbografx and X68000 ones.
+Avery Jenson I love the Left in the Arcade episodes. One of the really novel ones I enjoy, even though I didn't particularly like the console, was the Sega CD episode and how they ran it all off a Sega CD. I also really like their publisher episodes and their console reviews.
EarthBound is Mother 2, and it did get an official English localization pretty quickly. The original 8-bit Mother WAS localized to English in the '80s, I believe (and leaked as a prototype in the '90s or early 2000s), but was not given an official release until 2015 (under the title EarthBound Beginnings).
Nice to see console reviews again! I'd be cool to see you guys tackling some second gen consoles (Atari 2600, Intellivision, Colecovision) and some more obscure ones (SG-1000, Atari 7800, FM Towns Marty, WonderSwan).
Really good episode that covered just the right amount for snes. Loved the stop motion animation in this one. I gotta feeling this episode will be called "the Dave episode" in the future.

That's what I'm gleaning from a number of blogs and other tech documents that I'm seeing. Again, I couldn't tell you why the PAL or NTSC-J versions didn't remove these features. I guess NOA was just picky like that.
Atlink
I have one SNES that had that sticker.
I can't tell you how many controllers I broke. Some because of street fighter.
26 years and 4 months for me, and I still own it! Mine was the Mario Set with the All Stars+Mario World cart. Broke one controller but that was from wearing it out. Same with a Playstation controller.
+Game Sack Dave Street Fighter II is when I discovered game rage and kept breaking controllers regularly. I learned how to solder PCBs as result.
SNES too was my first console but I was very young when I got it. I don't regret working in my moms office to earn it. To this day, I still own it.
I BYTE mine snes controller in an angry atack cause playing super street fighter 2 in turbo mode can give u RAGE in turbo mode!
Capcom+Snes+ Disney/Beat Up = Great games
Edit= Except Final Fight One XD
kickmastergd Final Fight One was on GBA.
The SNES was one of the very best systems ever put together.
honest..if they would have developed games until GC-release, people ,like me, would have bought games.
Im apparantly on a Game sack bingewatching spree on this lovely sunday, watched like 10 eps already without even knowing
I agree with Dave, this is the best episode ever! The SNES was awesome when it was released, and it still is amazing.
Being a Sega and Nintendo fan, I have to agree. Funny though, the same for the Genesis..smh
Caveat/add on... watching the NAMCO episode .... yes Sega’s Smash pack was my first experience to the Sega Genesis ...I had a cousin tell me the sound was off! I was like nahhhhhh It’s all good lol
Finally! I was wondering when you would review the good ol' mighty SNES.
Ah Legend of the Mystical Ninja, probably my favorite rental. I recall an arcade in one stage that let you play Gradius.
This video was worth a second look.
Sega Genesis episode forthcoming???
The snes might be my favorite video game system. It has the best games from every type like puzzles and beat em ups. And now that it is easier for anyone to play the games, now anyone can experience the beauty of this system.
Space Megaforce is suspiciously similar to Gun Nac on the NES as well, which is one of my favorite games. It was also developed by Compile.
All part of the Aleste series.
The absolute best video game company ever. And the only legitimate one still in business today.
Snes controller: One of the best EVER MADE!
Sega Genesis 6 button controller: Best controller ever made!
Dixies double dong trouble xD holy shit, I laughed so hard.
I thought I misheard him and checked the comments to see if anyone else heard what I heard.
DUDE EPIC LMAO
15:46- There is a new translation patch for a more accurate translation like the names and dialogue aswell as fancy dialogue added.
Still want you guys to do an NES/Famicom and PSP Episode afterwards.
PSP was incredible.
8 years later, still the best SNES video on RUclips
Um, now that Dave got his way, where is the Genesis episode? Come on Joe, don't let us down.
Somebody hasn't played Vectorman apparently
sounds made up
***** Depends on what you look for in a video game.
+LuigiHero Fun?
Great story.
The Snes is the first console I bought with my own money. It came to me yesterday!!!
Keep it up!
i agree, the snes IS Nintendo's BEST system ever!, I'm glad we all agree ;):)
Just started watching, but figured I'd butt in with an FYI:
"If you want anything other than composite video with it, then you can go to hell."
Officially, yes, but the successful Kickstarter for SNES and Genesis component cables literally just bore fruit like, two weeks ago, and I picked up some SNES component cables last week for $50 from them... and believe it or not, they work perfectly!
Virtually indistinguishable from the Retron-5's SNES output (provided I'm not using any filters, anyway).
cool fact Hotels used to have SNES games.
Wait, what? I've can use composite, s-video and RGB-scart on my SNES. But that's an european SNES. It's got that same connector that the N64 and GameCube(?) uses.
In his intro, Joe was refering to the SNES Jr. when saying that it outputs composite video only.
12:15 "Dixie's Double Dong Trouble" WTF o_O
Hahahaha, i wonder if they realize what was said??
rofl!
lol.. double dong trouble. Ahem.
Randy Miller III SMG4 would've been so proud.
Randy Miller III SMG4 would've been so proud.
The Snes library is just unbelievably classic
Genesis
But really, how dare you talk about Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and NOT mention the *amazing* cave music? Or DKC2 and that epic track "Stickerbrush Symphony"? It's a crime! Just teasin', but they are awesome songs.
Also.. talking about Earthbound, "nothing new here"? The 'rolling HP' mechanic was quite innovative and different compared to other RPGs! I can forgive overlooking that though. :)
Great episode, enjoyed the length!
2 of the best SNES games
Eric Alan
nice try
Magma MK-II
Not at all.
Magma MK-II
It's not, though. It's a really good song. :v
Magma MK-II
Not really.
I just wanted to say the Goemon games are freaking amazing.
Oooops... Earthbound also is!!!!!!!!
did you know there's like 4 or 5 on the SNES?
+sheepnoisebah
Which ones are you talking about?
tetsuokenpachi www.gamefaqs.com/games/franchise/1072-goemon-mystical-ninja
after mystical ninja there's goemon 2, goemon 3, and goemon: Kirakira Douchuu,
+sheepnoisebah
Played them ;)
Whoo! The long-awaited SNES episode. Thanks for doing a great job as always, guys. And Joe, I was very happy to hear your review of F-Zero. I agree that it's a fun game and much more than a gimmick.
when are you gonna review the all mighty sega genesis!?
In the future
The better console is the Genesis.
@@kosharskysinternalorganfee9363 BLAST PROCESSING !!!
When they can find something good about the Genesis that's not a myth flamed by fanboy hype. I guess that will be never.
@Zesanactor Over-5 Nope!
Great video! One small correction for you, you mention it can't do better than composite, but the SNES can actually natively output RGB to scart. Much, much better image than composite.
Michael Bruckart I think he was referring to the snes jr.
King of Dragons also has a block button of you use a shield character. I usually map mine to R.
Too bad collecting the Snes is a death sentance to your wallet these days.
tell me about it.. glad I bought some of the pricier ones a little earlier, but I still had to pay too much.
That's why emulation is so great. Just get a nice usb snes controller and have fun!
Not even close you think thats bad rey collecting for the neo geo avs
SD2SNES problem solved able to play all the games and translations on original hardware with a fee of 4 good snes games
Mine cost me $140 but it came in the box with all the inserts and styrofoam and instruction manual
Definitely my favorite gaming system of all time. thank you for doing the review of it game sack.
Do an episode on the Commodore 64, please!
Apple 2 would also be cool, and Amiga of course
It would be interesting to see one on MS-Dos games. Maybe with help from LGR?
they wont cause there console gamers and hate on personal computers aka pcs they are so into fangeekdom of consoles they will never understand pc master race like we do
they wouldnt cause of there console gamers
me in pc master race and retro console gamer
You guys forgot some of the best fighting games that were on the Snes.
Final Fight series
Street Fighter 2
Mortal Kombat series
Killer Instinct
Great episode guys, you never disappoint. I remember as a kid seeing the SNES at the store and buying it for $99 solely because it was bundled with Link to the past. Glad I was fortunate enough to have both the SNES and the Genesis in my childhood.
GREATEST CONSOLE EVER MADE!
That goes to the Sega Genesis!
@@joyasmusicales603 I love the genesis but ps2 has some great games aswell.
@@martymartin2894 I like PS2 as well. Great variety of games and a lot of good ones.
@@joyasmusicales603 damn right..lol
Thanks for amazing 45 minutes of pure and high quality entertainment! And Dave, for me either the BEST console of all time! ;-) And Joe, I love your stop motion animations!
Probably the best video game system ever made.
EVER
Agreed
THE best
Agreed
I'm glad you guys have good taste too! All kidding aside, the Genesis was cool as hell too but the SNES will always have my heart.
44 minute SNES review? Fuck yea. You gents need more subs, great content !!
Biker mice from Mars! My childhood right there, great show before school each day when I was 5.
The whole episode is excellent, but that ending... awesome!
A great console. SNES has some of the very best video games ever made.
Although I am a Sega fan I also grew up with the nes and snes. I hold a soft place in my heart for the snes! As always great ep guys! Awesome work!
Had both systems, I'm Genesis...lol but the SNES was a great system
Stop the Console War. As Nintendo Fan i have to say Sega is awesome too.
@@all-stargamer3333 War.... War never changes
No question, the SNES was the pinnacle of Nintendo greatness. They've been striving to get back to that level ever since.
The SNES is my absolute favourite console. It's a timeless classic with the best game library. It has also the best designed joypad imo
The SNES is the best console of all time, I'm 100% sure of it.
Sega Genesis is the best system of all time. I'm 100% sure of that.
You're not even 50% sure whose your daddy is...
It's all subjective and there's no such thing because everyone's taste is different but yeah definitely one of the best. If I really had to pick one I'd go with Ps2 though due to its sheer variety and size.
@@kosharskysinternalorganfee9363 not a chance
The snes has MANY MANY more better games
Petting my PAL snes while watching, so many games to play.
wow
The G.O.A.T. of all video game consoles!
Do more TurboGrafx 16 and PC engine games! And at the beginning of the show talk about it's two graphics processors and it's 512 colors pallet and how it uses 482 of them on screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The SNES was a great system with great games. More of its games aged gracefully than any other console from the 80's or 90's, IMO.
Joe, don't copy my hairstyle. 0:50
Great Video!
Probably the best console of all time, that was the Nintendo that i grew up and i loved, now its a shell of his former self. I hope one one day Nintendo fix the current direction and comeback to the top of the gaming mountain with their greatness.
#MakeNintendoGreatAgain
It's happening...
This 3 year old comment is still relevant today at the end of April, 2020.
Great video guys, as always.
Got to disagree with the Ninja Warriors soundtrack, must be one of the best soundtracks I've heard, everyone got different tastes I guess.
Thanks for your good work guys :-) 👍
Sorry, but the simple fact it doesn't include Daddy Mulk already makes it inferior to the soundtrack of the original.
S-video is also natively output. All you need is the cable (official or third party)
We in the PAL missed out on so many great SNES RPGs
Yes! It's finally here!!! The SNES, GameSack episode!!!!!!! Fucking awesome guys, great job!!!
best episode ever besides the RUclips parody one, ur hitting ur stride game sack
Their PS2 and Neo•Geo reviews were damn good episodes too.
I love all of their episodes :]
+Avery Jenson Agreed. But I'm sure there's some you favor too.
Earthbound aka Mother was a very influential rpg. Take undertale for example. I believe it wasn't translated from japanese until recent time.
Fantastic system! Games had real soul. Characters you got invested in, awesome soundtracks and great ambiance. Great time to be alive, back then.
pal snes looks better than ntsc snes. snes is my favourite retro console. second is nes.
It also played a lot better the ntsc is way too fast.
Aww. You guys didn't mention Secret of Mana 2 / Seiken Densetsu 3? That has to be one of my favorite games on the system.
They did talk about it in a previous episode; I believe it was one of the Left in Japan episodes.
It's been mention before in a left in japan episode.
GameSack isnt into RPG's really, they like it simple!
***** judging from what they've been saying in some of their previous episodes and in this one, it seems they might be changing their minds.
Wait Mario punched Yoshi to make his tongue go out? WHY HAVEN I NOTICED THIS ALL THE YEARS PLAYING SMW?
Kradieosaurus REX Not really punching... That was a joke/misconception... He really is pointing in a direction
Really good episode that covered just the right amount for snes. Loved the stop motion animation in this one. I gotta feeling this episode will be called "the Dave episode" in the future.
When Dave said "I don't want the episode to end," that was exactly how I felt about a minute before he said it. Thank you.
Great post. I'd like a 40 minute Genesis video now please
Best game sack episode !
wii u guys at game sack please do a review for nes games and system.
Here's my personal top ten snes games: 1. Super Metroid, 2. Final Fantasy III/VI, 3. Super Mario World, 4. Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, 5. Super Castlevania IV, 6. Earthbound, 7. Yoshi's Island, 8. Chrono Trigger, 9. Mega Man X, 10. Super Mario Kart
Greatest system ever made. So many of my all time favorites are on it
