- Porsche 911 (991) Turbo Oil Change DIY video. Easy to do, takes about 30-40 minutes from start to finish.
My 991.1 Turbo took a little over 7.5qts from full oil drain to filling to 2nd bar from the top in the oil level display.
One step not in video: once you are done draining the oil, please remember to put the new oil drain plug back before filling up oil.

Nice job. Great refresher before I change mine this weekend. I believe the torque spec is 50Nm (37 ftlb.) for the oil plug and 25Nm (19 ftlb.) for the oil filter cap.
Thank you for the tutorial. I'll do this before spending $420 for an oil change.
Excellent and does the job for about 1/2 the cost at an indy shop and saves 2/3 of the bill at the dealer....was quoted $345 at two Porsche dealers in Atlanta......
If I'm not mistaken, you skipped a step. You went right to filling new oil w/o replacing the drain plug. Great video, though, thanks! Very helpful.
Joe, you’re right, I missed it in the video editing. Absolutely replace the drain plug before adding oil. :)
@@carfueled364 Great video, thanks again. Just watched it quickly again for reference before changing my oil again this year.
You never change the drain plug! Unless you screwed up the threads...
@@MaciusSzwed By "replace," I meant "reinstall." :)
nice tutorial. Good pace and easy directions...thank you!
Fantastic video thanks so much please keep sharing

Handy list I found: www.leithporsche.com/assets/misc/leith/leith-porsche/landing-pages/Maintenance-Schedule/911-Carrera/911.14-16m.pdf
Great guide, txs 4 sharing. Does anyone know where you can download the torque specs for this model?
You forgot the torque specs on the pan washer and the oil filter
6 point 36MM...socket for oil filter, not 12 point
I’m told that Porsche changed its oil specs from A40 to C40 in late models. I don’t believe Mobil 0-40 is C40 rated. Can anyone with insights speak to this?
Hey what’s the name of that jack your using?
