Sept. 2020: In this video, I'm putting things back together AFTER installing a new generic brand oven igniter into a Bosch 800 series oven. (It was during Covid pandemic lockdown era, and I didn't feel comfortable having a repairman come into my house yet.) Following the steps below and/or following the video in reverse will give someone a pretty good idea as to how to get to the igniter and remove it. UPDATE: or go to the video link posted above!
    1) Unplug the oven (or turn off the breakers to the oven) and turn off the gas at the oven’s shut off valve. You may have to pull the oven away to do one or both.
    2) Remove the oven door and take out the oven racks
    3) Remove the bottom oven plate by unscrewing the 2 long screws at the back of the oven bottom plate
    4) Now with the igniter exposed, unscrew the bad igniter using a torque screwdriver (24pt?) to remove the 2 torque screws holding it place. I didn’t have a torque screw so found a different tool to undo them.
    5) The cables connected to the igniter disappear into the recesses of the oven and have to be unplugged at the backside of the oven. I’ve seen a video that shows you how to disconnect the bad igniter by cutting the cables off and then reconnecting the new igniter by threading the old cables to the new igniter’s cables which you have also cut. And then there’s is no need to do steps 6-9 below. Because I didn’t want to cut/splice wires together and I could see that the part has easy-to-connect ends, the next steps will show you how to find where to connect the parts at the plug-ins rather than splice wires.
    6) Go behind your oven, the exterior back of it. Remove the entire tin plate back cover by unscrewing the a lot of 20pt torx screws.
    7) Remove the square tin boxy cover at the bottom center by unscrewing 1 more torx screw for easier access to the igniter cables where they poke out of the back of the oven.
    8) Unplug the cables at their connection point.
    9) From the front of the oven, you can now remove the bad, disconnected igniter.
