Low sound is great. Perhaps a cut out valve would take care of the times you feel like being noisy, and maybe even release a few more horses as well?
Nice project. Looking forward for the next one.
Good idea! We will see how it goes after the mapping.
Darn now im upto date! looking forward to the next videos!
Oooh that Junc 6 B road to Reading 👌test track
Loving the build and videos I just got myself a 3rd 3.2 Audi and this is boosting me to get boosted 😂
Haha you know it. Thanks. You should 😉
The noises will come back after a map cz more fuel and air bigger bang.
But to b honest i like it quite, that makes for a nice sleeper lol. And when som1 pulls up with a rs3 u can smoke em. They b like WFT just happend 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Overall great build. Ganna be doing my mk4 2.8 24v vr6 turbo build next year summer, looking for around 450 to 500bhp.
Thanks. Yeah no changes to the exhaust until after mapping so I can decide if I like it or not. Good luck with your build bro.
i got the same car same color btw lol sweet build!
Have you thought about a heat shield for the manifold / turbo? You can form them out of aluminum heat shield material by hand quite easy i expect. Side note : You want to be super carful with any oil coming out of the engine and coming in contact with any hot element. lots of cars go up in flames due to oil on manifolds
Yeah I have just made one from the original heat shield that you will see in the next episode. Yeah I didn’t drive it very long with oil coming out.
What a video man such a inspiration man making me want to turbo mine now and thank u for having a spread sheet of everything cus I’ve asked people what I need and where to get it from and there useless
Thank you! and im glad i can help, that was the reason i did this how build series.
Well done so far. Looking forward to the dyno video... 🙏🏼 Keep the sound as is... It's awesome... Sleeper. Just make sure your full exhaust is 3inch...good for 700hp...well done with everything. You build her Alot cleaner than any DIY build I have seen
Thanks. Appreciate the kind words.
Wow, you did so much in such little time. Legend! Its a shame you lost some of the wookieness, hope you can get some of it back!
Thanks, yeah me to, after the mapping i will see how it sounds and might have something up my sleeve if i still don't like how quiet it is. :)
I would like a cost breakdown. Got a r32 myself a few days ago
There is a spreadsheet in the description of the first video in this series that has all the costs of parts including links of where to buy etc. I will also do a video about the costs and what i would do different etc, i might make that a live stream with Q&A's
Great build mate, watched from day one. What ecu you got standard are you having a MAP added an going MAFless
Standard ecu. Maybe I’ll change over at some point.
When this is finished will you do a video of the cost of the build. Would definitely be something I would like to see.
Yes and I will so cover things that I regret or would do differently and also any tools I would recommend getting to complete it more efficiently.
With you head spacer gasket, you used original chains didn't you? Didn't get an extended length one?
Yes! the chains had been replaced about a year or so ago but they were OE length chains, as long as you do not go too thick of a head gasket you will be fine with the OE length chain and guides
@@OctaneFever awesome I'm about the same size as yours so should be golden.
Screamer sounds awesome!
@@Alex-hn4we great. It takes some time to get it right and just be patient with it. Checkout my other video as I explain alittle about the issue I had with fitting the chain. Thanks.
are you running MAP or MAF for your setup. I forget if you covered that or if you are using the MAF just for the air temp
We are using the original MAF sensor but in a 4inch intake pipe.
@@OctaneFever in was reading that having an air straightened (i know sounds fake) lile on the OE MAF housing helps get better and more consistent readings. I bought one before I decided to go MAP and EMU black
There may well be things my tuner will ask for or need to change when mapping the car on the rolling road.
How much it cost to turbo it? Sounds amazing on the wastegate i want to do my a3 3.2
Checkout my latest video for the cost breakdown
Hey! Another comment on one of your videos😅 quick question, how did it run when not tuned for the short runner intake? I got a base map on mine but when I switched to the short intake I get some weird idle surging and unable to revmatch at speed, did you notice something similar? Thanks! Great work as always.
Before the base map it ran like shit as you can see in the video. But my base map accounted for the SRI so I never noticed anything. If your getting issues like that then limit driving it and get it mapped asap.
@@OctaneFever and how did you install the base map on your car? Was it done by your tuning shop?
@@Biltjafs yeah. I took my ecu to the tuners who already had another customers tune for the same ecu so they put a really safe tune on for my spec.
@@OctaneFever thank you! Will get the car mapped properly when the snow stops falling, but for now I guess the stock intake should do
@@Biltjafs yeah man. If it runs fine with the stock manifold then run it till it blows or you can get the tune.
Wish I had a clue what I was doing wouldn't mind making my r32 faster
Its all nuts and bolts at the end of the day. Although i wouldnt recommend starting on an R32 for your first car project. lol
