I flew it out is AAB and GRB and it slaps, drop Mavs from the heavens, radar is awesome and holds lock very well for jets and UAVs, it's so fast, nimble, and the energy retention is insane. Let's not forget the $75 is also 2500 GE and 20 day premium account. The part that REALLY sucks is the armament, 2 sparrows and 2 aim 9s or 6 aim 9s. If it could hold 6x or 4x aim 9s and 2 sparrows or 4 sparrows and 2 aim 9s then it would be perfect.
If you accept that premium vehicles are are a part of War Thunder, then it comes down to the F20 being $10 more than the F5C....why are people making such a big deal? ALL premiums are overpriced in War Thunder. I mean if you can't afford it, that's cool and understandable. Otherwise people losing their minds over ten dollars more seems a bit over the top. If you say that no one should be buying premium vehicles, then sure, I would understand that opinion but that sentiment has nothing to do with the F20 specifically.
11.3 ?! there's an italian F-104 at 11.3. A plane that has the turning radius of a B-29. And only 4 9Ls, with a non existant RWR. That thing can't be lower than 12.3 with how busted it is.
@@Onezmhu 12.0 not 12.3 for one. Second only 45 countermeasures and while being a lightweight fighter it doesn’t have the performance of the F-16 or MiG-29, nor the range and capability of the Yak-141, or F-14B.

It just goed to show most war Thunder players still live with their parents and have no idea of what 'expensive' is. 75 bucks is literally 3 days of groceries at best, how is 3 days of food expensive for skipping the entire freaking air tree, saving litteral years of grinding. Honestly i think its a pretty good deal, thats why i bought the Mig23ML as soon as it released as well.
I don't. Not because its bad or sum thing,but i only need the F14A(100k rp left),14B,16ADF and C and i finished the US tree to the bottom 😂 I love my F4E in simulator even bought a talisman for it
@@patriktoth6258 So in my case it's even worse because I've already completed the entire American technology assessment and I really liked the F-20 but it is incomplete, I still know that it can carry the AIM-120, so in the future there would have to be a readjustment of the BR As for the AIM9M, I don't know if it used that missile but it would be useful
@@observador.555 IMO the F20 will be useful for its fans. F16ADF just can perform much better RN for air RB. And whoever got the ADF have the A which is good for ground RB. I just don't see the point why should i buy it you know
I mean It should be up tiered and down tiered like any other aircraft. Being able to buy something better than your peers shouldn't be the point of premiums.
The Aim-7anything is still a poor substitute for the R24/27 and will probably NEVER be on par with those. The performance will be the same issue as the F15 which can't guide at all and fly off dumb 8 out of 10 times. So it's starting already flat-footed with it's stable mates. It's basically an up engined F-5 with aim9L's which at it's BR makes it a 'clean-up' type fighter and not one you can go against it's stable-mates in it's BR. BEST premium in the game is the MiG-23ML if you want the most bang for your buck.
Yea maybe cause ur Emilie’s are brain dead and don’t cut ab and flare properly, they made flares heat up slower basically making every missiles buffed, the 9l is a good missiles but its no where near as good as the 9m, r73, magic 2, even the python 3

Ehhh I’m gonna go out on a whim and say that it’s not worth it. When it comes to experienced US Tree players we already would have the better 12.0 and 12.3-12.7 fighters. The F-20A = F-16A Block 20 with less countermeasures, thrust to weight, and lower armament potential since it can only take 4-5 missiles if you take 1-2 AIM-7 Sparrows. Not only that but on the beginner side of things, starting off at 12.0-12.7 matches is a HORRIBLE new player experience. There are so many things going on atm that will overwhelm noobs.

@@InterstellarTaco Maybe but there are BFM and Energy management tactics and fundamentals that apply no matter the platform, and there also will also be a fighter that’s better in Boom and Zoom and a Fighter that’s better in Turns. Jets just simply make things more advanced due to the technology.

Funny thing. Today i was flying f-16 and i saw on rvr f-18. It was f-20 but on rvr it is shown as f-18

The F20 has the F18 engine that's why it displays as the F18

Yes it is pricey but this is my go to plane while grinding for F15/16. It could turn a little better though

F15 needs to go up in br. The F20 needs to either go down in BR or get AIM 9M's and AIM 7M's.
From my personal experience the AIM-7F is more reliable than the AIM-7M

No to low 12.7 would be better for it, this jet is baller when used right since aim-9Ls can also be non flare hungry if used right

Even if this thing is a demonstrator to F-16, it's really doing good work in the battle. The only problem of it is the uptier system xddddd

I just played a few matches before work and I clubbed a MIg29, 2 F15s and a potato in an F14 in one match. Thing does really well if you use it right.

magic’s pull more in close range. Same for a lot of French missiles actually. Phoenix I can’t tell you since they pretty much disappear after launch
yes i tested both and they are fantastic except the phoenix had some lock on problems, but they do pull alot better and faster
This is not the best premium in game at all. Plus its missing Zuni pods because nothing american can ever be implemented correctly

9L's flare resistence is pretty insane compared to a year ago 9L 😂

Not really. Top tier and props are different and don't really correlate. A good prop player doesn't make a good jet player and vice versa.
