    Honestly, the most likely reason that 4 weeks were added to the pre-jury phase of BB25 is that CBS wanted to keep the show running as long as possible amidst the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes that started last summer. They’re not gonna be able to film scripted series until they reach a deal with SAG-AFTRA now, so it’d make sense for them to prolong all of their unscripted shows for as long as possible.

    Not sure if anyone had said/noticed this before, but you can see water spraying off of Chima's mic in the clip of it landing in the hot tub, but not when she throws it. This just adds to the theory of production going back and filming the mic going straight into the hot tub.

    • @fpfpfpfp2
      @fpfpfpfp2 Год назад +17

      I never thought about it before, but what are the odds a cameraman had his camera pointing at just the right angle and perfectly followed the microphone as it travelled to the hot tub. It doesn't mean the throwing of the microphone didn't happen for real. They probably just recreated the scene to have an insert shot for TV.

    • @aspiringgirl4422

    BB15 Amanda was used as a production mouthpiece to address the Aaryn controversy. She's the one who first brought up the racist remarks in the episodes (during the group conversation in the HoH and then during her one-on-one conversation with Aaryn later). But once Amanda demonstrated that she didn't actually care about racial sensitivity by making derogatory comments about Candice, production abandoned her as the narrator of the season.

    • @craigresendes2403
      @craigresendes2403 Год назад +9

      I completely agree with this! Amanda was one of the main characters of the season early on alongside Aaryn (as their big bad villain) and Helen (the loveable underdog). Amanda was their protagonist who was given a lot of credit for the end of the Moving Company since she got into a showmance with McCrae (although I think Candice sussed it out first anyway). As the big power player for the first part of the season, they clearly wanted Amanda around for as long as possible and to be viewed positively by the audience. I’m pretty sure Andy’s presence began to increase once Amanda showed her true self too.

    I’m not 100% sure on this, but I think a reason for replacing the key wheel for nominations (pre BB16) isn’t just a way for production to cut down on time, but the key wheel wouldn’t really work with the Battle of the Block (starting in BB16). There’s two ways I can think of them doing noms with the key wheel: a) both HOH’s go at the same time and they have to explain who is nominated by who. Or b) there’s two key wheels and they’re either split in half, or the whole house. But then more conflicts arise. Hence, the nomination box.

    It was pretty obvious to me watching the show that during BB25 production was trying to save jury house costs/costs for sequestering potential returning houseguests. Not starting jury until final 9, having both returning houseguests never leave the actual house compound, then zooming through the final 9 after. Part of that belief also comes from seeing Jeff Probst do interviews talking about how much pressure Survivor has to cut costs from CBS and I am sure Big Brother has similar pressures on costs, especially during the writers/actors strike when the rest of their shows were not making any money.

    Also, we know a part 6 is coming (we gotta get to 10!!), so here are a few more:
    1.) As said before, there are rumors that Paola Avila quit BB12 right before it started because she didn't want to be the saboteur.
    2.) During BB16, someone in production told Victoria things they shouldn't have, either about how her behavior looks to the outside world or how she's touching the men (or both), and she went in and out of the DR crying all afternoon. She tried to tell Zach but the live feeds cut to fish, but she said something about not wanting to get the production member in trouble.
    3.) Ironically, the clown shoe veto was rigged in favor of Jeff by giving him the end booth. He was free to rain his balls off the other side, but only had one person who could throw balls in.
    4.) The first four jurors in BB15 were not sequestered so that they could see what Amanda was like and turn against her.
    5.) Boogie's Coup d'état was taken away after he "used it without using it" on George's HOH in BB7.

    I’m gonna be honest I DO think Chima pulled a Kobe Bryant and landed her mic right into the pool. I think the difference between the arcs of the shot can be explained by the camera angles. The angle we see Chima in is more central so we see less of a horizontal movement than the camera is actually traveling, whereas the camera on the pool is directly horizontal to the path of the camera so we get the full depth of the horizontal movement there.

    Not sure if you’ve ever talked about this but I remember it being a hot topic on Twitter when it happened and your segment on Cameron jogged my memory on it. On BB14, during the week that Frank and Boogie were on the block, people claimed that they heard them talking about Frank palming a chip during the veto draw on the live feeds. The feeds then immediately cut after they mentioned it. I even remember watching the clip on RUclips afterwards. The theory is that production didn’t want ChillTown 2.0 being split up that early and wanted to raise the chances of one of them winning the veto so they could both potentially survive the eviction.

    I have a theory about Big Brother 5, and it involves the dna helix competition in the first episode of the season. My theory is that many balls had keys to open the chest for $10k, and producers might have chosen Lori in thinking that she would’ve been a safe person to give the opportunity first. If you look at HOW MANY yellow balls were on the helix, and SOMEHOW THE ONE WITH THE KEY got chosen is suspicious. I feel many players probably picked one with a key, and Lori was chosen by production to go first essentially.

      @@Ethanimaleto further add on it: thinking about giving Adria/Cowboy(even though I think he second if Lori refused)/Nakomis or even Drew and Diane the opportunity to go first, it would’ve inhibited storytelling they had in mind. We as the audience knew that Drew and Diane were twins and possible suspects to keep watching for who the twin twist revolved around. And Cowboy and Nakomis needed the long lost sibling angle for television purposes. Adria was the twin twist so giving it to her wasn’t viable. And my idea is that Lori was a safe option because she was an attractive female in a house full of agro single males. There genuinely might have been a scenario where all “eligible” players to qualify with their key holding balls to be chosen NOT picking up a ball that had one at all. REGARDLESS, that unknown conspiracy stipulation might have possibly led production to give her favor. If a character like Marvin or Jace got it, they might have had an issue of going forward. I feel it’s possible if Holly wasn’t the only player disqualified for going over on her time, she might’ve been a serious candidate. And there is some editing on the episode where we don’t see each and every ball being tossed in that can possibly resemble “Lobster Feast” or whatever it was, so I think it’s plausible.

    Okay! So hear me out. My theory is that Nakomis is the name of Jennifer Dedmon’s fursona and Nakomis is a furry. This was back on the early/mid 2000’s while the fandom started to grow a lot so no one knew what it was in mainstream culture.
    My evidence?
    1. She insists it’s what her friends call her and what she answers to. Nakomis is smart and socially conscious enough to know this will give off a weird vibe but it is ultimately the Steph she made to be her “true” self. She’s not an idiot, she would introduce such an out there nickname if it didn’t serve a purpose.
    2. It’s likely an online name and people don’t usually call people by their MMO names.
    3. She went to a “kink ball” which is very common at furry conventions and BDSM is very much in the same apartment building with a lot of subcultures.
    4. Texas has loads of furry conventions, San Antonio in particular.
    Combine the fact she likes “art and nature”, her dad being kinda a hippie, and the animal-informed imagery in her tattoos and clothes like paw prints then I think it’s a very plausible - and I almost say we’re headed into the right direction - on the origin of the name.
    My only other theory is it’s either a screen name from an MMO like EverQuest or some other online thing but I don’t think that people usually go by their character’s name when they start knowing gaming buddies online in my experience.

    i actually think the power of invincibility was added in after luke's expulsion.
    walk with me: the power was a twist from the comic verse, but why have a that twist putside of the planner comic week, especially since the other twists from the bb multiverses only happen withint their week (and yes julie counts the night 1 scramble twist as the scramble-verse's twist). plus since kirsten's eviction wasn't canceled, they had to find a way to make up time to ensure that they reach the 100 day mark. so it left them with the choice of making up a prejury battleback, which they couldnt do once they outed the jared secret to kirsten, cut the season short, which they probably couldnt do unless given the okay from cbs, or find a way to cancel an eviction, which this allowed them to do.

      I’ve spent the last few weeks trying to decide whether it was the power of invincibility or the zombie week that was the make up for the expulsion.
      Like, basically everything is pre-planned and pre-built before the season even starts. And adding the power so early makes me think that it was planned to be there from the get-go. But zombie week was far enough out that they could plan out a fake double eviction and put it in a week that doesn’t wholly matter (there was the republican candidate debate that week) so they had time to build the sets and figure out their plan while also incorporating the scary verse theme in a way that made sense.
      Did the zombie week slow the season down? To me, not really because (at least on feeds) you got to see Cameron and Jared try to build new alliances to get them further in the game. It sucked that there wasn’t some sort of luxury comp for the other houseguests to compete in that week, but that’s really my only critique of that week.

    MY CONSPIRACY: The risk that Ryan took in BB9 for the $21k prize package was rigged, production didn't have the prize and never intended to get the prize. I have no evidence for this, but I think it's very plausible.

  • @crystalyuina6265
    @crystalyuina6265 Год назад +1

    I have 4 theories!
    1 - In BB25, during the second double eviction it was rigged for America to lose, the comp was favored for Matt or Jag to win in NUMEROUS ways, such as the height advantage, it being reused from a previous comp Matt won, Matts balls being at the top, and the motive is it was obvious production did not like America based off the edit they were giving her, and had anybody but America won that veto, America was SURE to go home
    2 - The reason BB25 had a 7 person jury was to prevent a repeat of last year and have 2 undeserving people make it to the jury. Its been obvious lately the first people to have made the jury haven't been stellar players (Jack, Jasmine, Indy) and after last year with Indy and Jasmine I think they wanted a deserving 7 person jury, and I suspect they wanted to ensure somebody like a Bowie Jane, who hasn't done anything, make jury.
    3 - In BB15 Amanda was being fed outside information of Aaryn's actions. Production was getting a lot of heat for Aaryn so they had to stop it fast before they got worse heat because of her, so they used Amanda as a human device to tell Aaryn to stop it. It is evident that as soon as the racial allegations came up that's when Amanda sat Aaryn down and started fighting with her over her actions. They didn't tell Aaryn herself so they could get "TV moments" from Amanda and Aaryn fighting. And once production knew Aaryn wasn't going to stop that's when they stopped using Amanda, and conveniently that's when Amanda stopped commenting on the racial things.
    4 - This is the big one, and the one I want you to talk about most... WAS JAG BRIBED TO NOT EVICT MATT? Like im sure I dont need to explain this but its OBVIOUS they told Jag something because he wouldn't be set on evicting Matt, go in the DR for 3 hours, come out and immediately go to Bowie and say he's evicting Felicia. And considering the highly negative edit they have been giving Felicia, and very positive edit they've been giving Matt they of course wanted to keep it going
    I'd like to see you address some of these, love these videos!

    I don’t think that it’s that suspicious that Corey saw the pipes immediately. It’s two pipes, that are a different color and size from anything else on the wall. He knows he needs to solve a puzzle, so he can easily be looking for “a thing I can interact with” and then figuring he’ll find what it goes to later. Also, you can see him glance briefly in the direction of the manhole cover.
    Also, I think he knew he was on a raised stage, so he may have even deduced he’d need to crawl through a hole at some point.
    Honestly, if he’s a veteran of escape rooms, that stuff would be child’s play. All of this is reasonable deductions that can be explained much simpler than production tipping him off.

    I don’t remember where I saw this theory, but it intrigued me, so I thought I’d include it here:
    The reason we had no intro in bb24 last year was because they needed to replace Marvin on such short notice. Now, I’m not entirely sure how preseason production works and I understand that there’s a few holes in this theory, but it does kinda make sense. When Christie was replaced in bb23, there was still three or so days to go before premiere, giving production enough time to film Claire’s bit for the intro and her preseason introduction on BB’s social media. The reason they couldn’t do that with Joseph was because they announced the cast THE DAY BEFORE the premiere, and then had to replace Marvin a few hours later. With premiere night less than 24 hours away at that point, there was no way they’d be able to film his pre-premiere introduction or his bit for the intro, leading to production scrapping it for the season altogether

    Another theory I heard was that when Janelle first played many years ago, the producers told her the correct number during her famous HOH win. If you watch it again, Julie clearly said, "Without going over." Her original number was 300...which would have put her over. But Janelle quickly flips her board over and writes 275. The correct number was 286. You can also hear other cast members reacting to this after the number was revealed. The reason was that producers wanted to keep her on the show due to fear of rating drop because they just lost Kaysar and fans basically hating everyone besides Janelle, Howie and Kaysar. That why they also let Howie stay in after verbally abusing everyone for two days and Janelle getting drunk and pushing Beau.

The men had to get the ball into a spot that was much closer to the beginning of the puzzle, which led to four men and only two women actually competing for HOH. Since the show 'Big Brother' is conducted by a network programmer (vs. an FCC-licensed station) and does not offer a prize to members of the public, it is not regulated by the FCC. A 'game show' in which 'selected contestants' (vs. 'members of the public') participate is governed by Section 509 of Title 47 of the

    These are always enjoyable, thanks. (got a post-Halloween fright seeing some of those BB18/19 DRs again though). I was going to ask about Cory and America. BB almost always goes out of its way to promote showmances, even the bottom of the barrel, but most of what they did with Cory and America on the TV episodes was comic relief or just pointing out how he couldn't kiss. They didn't even show America saying "I love you" in her goodbye message to Cory, which is out of character for a show that loves romances. Then there was that multi-layered Zing to Cory, which was a lot of fun, and he took it in stride, but would have probably wrecked some players. Even with Cory gone, the one jury clip he did on his own wasn't put up by BB's social media, but instead by CBS. Do you think production just did not like him (or her, or them, as they don't fit the ideal that, say, Matt/Reilly would have for TPTB)? Do you think it's a coincidence that Cory was almost backdoored the same night that he went on the feeds trashing the zombie week twist? (I remember some fans claiming the DR talked Cameron out of it, but he came out of the DR still wanting to backdoor Cory and it was always Jag who changed his mind)

    This is a theory that I thought of recently when rewatching BB4 and the theory involves 2 parts, the first part is that Scott was not expelled from the house, he quit. The reason I believe this is that The producers don’t actually say anything to address the house afterwards like they did in BB2 with Justin or BB14 with Willie. It would also make sense because Scott didn’t get called into the diary room, he just walked in. The second part of this theory is that the house was forced to evict Amanda by production so she wouldn’t spill what happened to Scott. This is a little far out there but the pieces connect to make this believable. There was a good amount of people in the house who wanted Amanda to stay and most of the house openly said that Jee was a bigger threat which makes it kinda weird that they unanimously evicted Amanda including David. But I believe that Amanda was forced out and Scott was marked expelled instead of quit because production didn’t want to have the X-Factor twist, (which caused Scott’s meltdown) to be seen as a mistake on productions behalf and instead just Scott being crazy and production made sure Scott’s ex left as soon as possible so that no reminder of Scott was still in the house and people forgot about him faster. Another thing to note is that Robert did a lot of the same things Scott did when he found out Erika was there that didn’t even end up on the show in any way. I’d even go as far as to say that David’s fling with Amanda at the end of her stay was a little staged to make people forget about Scott even more. Overall, I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if this theory was true, Big Brother was in its infancy and didn’t need a second major scandal in 3 years so it makes sense that they would try to cover it up at any costs to make production look good
