I really hope they put your party characters in the car with you when you’re cruising kinda like FFXV and give them animations and photo opportunities when traveling and what not. The peak of FFXV was just road trippin with the boys

When I look at a game like this it doesn't feel like a gacha, it feels like something that should be a regular rpg. Like a lot of this gameplay I'm not sure how it'd actually apply on a daily basis once you're in maintenance mode.
You just kind of do the dailies, daily. And then when you want to actually play, you put some more time into it. Thats how I've been in Genshin and WuWa at least.
The red cat girl (Nanally) looks cool, Female MC as well. According to the reddit they are making a Male MC too so it'll be interesting to see how his design looks. The world is really interesting, I love that you can walk into buildings without a load screen. The green courtyard type area with the manor? type building looks really nice too. I hope we can customize our room/the house.

One criticism i want to give to the game is how everything on the characters seems to have very flowy physics.
Its very apparent on the little chibi girl with the ghost monster pet thing, as he skirt had the same weight in the movements as her jacket and hair.
Something about genshin that doesnt get appreciated enough is how everything flows differently.
Hair is usually very flowy but not graviry defying.
Yunjin is a good example of what i mean with her long hair flowing around more and her long skirt having more weight to it
I have been thinking the same thing, its especially noticeable with the hair for me. All of the characters with long hair have really strange hair animations when running. To me, it looks like the hair is wildly vibrating and not 'flowing', its super distracting and off-putting. ESPECIALLY MINT ~~
@hithanks1 I'm personally hard stuck on how it looks with the skirts, I feel like it just cheapens the animations and I feel uncomfortable with the younger characters having those physics on their clothes.
It shows off a bit too much.
Like you, I like the fantasy style. Soon as a see a concrete jungle I click out. I can get that by walking out the door. I play to escape, not see what I see every day.

Both the gameplay mechanics and animations in Project Mugen do look more fun and smoother than NTE. Too bad, there had been no more new info about Project Mugen after its first appearance.
I first thought this was gonna be a project mugen killer
but with the emphasis on cars as transportation and a (11:00) character lock exploration ability
I think project mugen is safe.
what I liked on project mugen's trailer and is looking forward to is its parkour/spiderman-like exploration where the characters are just wall running & swinging around the city.
Project Mugen isn't even out so I don't think it can be classified as its killer. Hell, this might even come out before project mugen
Almost forgot about this. My new PC will actually be able to play this now.
The main issue personally is that Genshin is time consuming game. Not sure if I have time for both.

The MMO aspect of ToF is honestly what made the game fun when i played it. But unfortunately everything else around the game was a bit subpar (it really needed more polish, and it felt like the game was rushed to release while genshin was still at peak popularity). If NTE applied the same MMO aspect to this game, while also being polished, it could potentially become one of the heavy hitters in the gacha sphere.
My main concern is that the game looks really heavy, so potato pc's will struggle to run the game or even play it. I can't even play wuwa in my potato laptop just cause of how heavy it is. While genshin can run fine. This is honestly what i appreciate the most about genshin, they really took the time to optimize their game system. I've heard that it's to the point you can't even consider the game engine to be Unity anymore.
This game looks good but i dont have the time to add another game right now im just enjoying playing WUWA and Genshin
My brother plays TOF and let me tell u they have redefined the definition of insa...uhm Powercreep they u have to pull characters every banner to be able to keep up... Sooo tho this game looks insanely cool and I am excited but I am also watching it from behind a fence because I don't wanna get hyped up for no reason...!!!

The chaos thing and library stretching/changing reminds me of Capcom’s try at rebooting Devil May Cry series with “DmC: Devil may Cry” with emo dante
This actually looks pretty awesome. Love to see how it turns out and i actually like GTA myself ,played need for speed. so this could be fun.
I really dig the world and character designs, it just seems like they’re focusing on promoting more of the GTA aspects of the game. Which, is fine, but I really wanna see stuff like the end game mode(s), chest collecting, gacha system and story.
I might be asking too much at this point of the development. But I still wonder what the other aspects are like.

Ngl, I'm really skeptical of this studio after Tower of Fantasy. Maybe I'm just ill informed about them and could only judge from my experience in ToF, but that game is the exact reason why I can't get hyped.
Perfect World Entertainment doesn't have a great track record, but I suppose we'll have to see.

Changli, Yinlin and Shorekeeper design is top notch in my opinion. While Genshin is my favorite gacha, the whole game is kind of too childish. I would prefer it to be a bit more grown up. Also the new storyline gave WuWa a huge boost. It was amazing and even moved me to tears.
NTE is already a turn off by sexualizing kid skins. I hate that about gachas. I'd like to try the game, but it's too time consuming. When you already play 2 gachas and proper games all while living in the real world aswell, then you can only have so many daily games.
WuWa really is goated especially after 1.3 and the black shores story. The devs are just incredible to the players. I'm usually a male player primarily, but Shorekeeper and Camellya both got me. Much earlier than Genshin, which took from 1.0 all the way until Nahida before I pulled a female, and that was solely for Dendro meta. Since then I've gotten Xianyun and Furina as well, also for strictly gameplay reasons. I still love Genshin and the worldbuilding and lore particularly, WuWa is definitely my favorite gacha now. I dont even touch other hoyo games after how they treated us for 4 years. I tried with HSR but player movement is huge for me and no-jumping is a (silly but true) deal breaker for me lmao.
@@hunterlavish It must be hard for you aa gachas are known for their practices, so obviously you can't expect too many male characters, especially sexualized ones.
I play for exploration and story mainly. Cool design and fun gameplay are just a plus.

I agree with you that Mihoyo could have treated the playerbase better. They took and took, but hardly gave back as to be expected from a capitalist corporation to be fair. The other games of them don't appeal to me. Mostly because of world/story or because of turn based gameplay.
I'll try it, but I'll almost certainly drop it before long. Seems I can only get into games with a fantasy setting.

the combat do look fluid enough, and the animations doesn’t look too dank. I am willing to give it a try.
These are the same dev’s that did Tower of Fantasy which initially I really enjoyed while there was a lot to explore, however the MMO aspect of Tower of Fantasy killed the game because it was balanced around an MMO so you either needed to whale to play solo or be in a guild full of whales to carry you. Besides game balance the story and the events were pretty bad. The things tof did right was controller support for mobile and it felt good to play on controller. It also had a hybrid option so you can touch screen and use controller, I like this type of feature a lot and even Kuro implemented this in Wuthering waves, although I still prefer touch screen in that game due to controller not feeling intuitive.
Not too big on this game because it looks like a console release with the graphics and character design. My iPad already get fried sometimes playing zzz (literally freeze frames and crashes) which it never has with genshin or Wuthering waves so the good graphics will probably only work on console or pc. As for character’s they’re too cartoony / anime with the other worldly looks like cat ears and oni horn. I think if they had more characters that looked like MC but more flair that could be good.
This does look cool, there's only so much time in a day 3 things would really sell me on adding another gacha game to my roster

NTE looks great. Tof is a lot of fun and I hope they can transfer the good (and not the bad) to NTE. kinda wishing we had the simulacra/weapon system from tof in NTE for that very reason. Kinda not looking forward to a recycle of the same old boring team mechanic that's in genshin, hsr, wuwa, etc. Either way I'm hyped for this game and plan to play on launch. The city looks every bit as detailed and immersive as Mirroria of tof, but even more stunning graphics. Paranormal aspect looks super fun. I'm looking forward to it. Just hoping they won't skimp on male characters since tof is essentially maleless lol.
Honestly, I don't care how good this game is. Knowing the company's way of handling the release of male characters in their past game screams "major red flag" to me. So does the fact all characters in their trailer are female.
I prefer playing as guys and am not about to start playing a game and invest my time and money in it, knowing full well they'll be releasing 1 husbando every 10 patches (or none).
I've already made the mistake of starting Zenless, hoping they'd be releasing men and getting massively disappointed after what they did to Lighter, which killed any incentive I had to play further.
I am also disgusted with the direction Wuwa is taking. Every female character is glazing the MC, who is basically a glorified Gary Stu / Mary Sue without any imperfections whatsoever. There's also massive amounts of uncomfortable fan service for half the fandom that's not really into women / or doesn't like seeing all women being overly sexualized and glazing the MC.
The entire focus is on the MC and the current character they want to sell, who then disappears into the abyss for the rest of the patches. The rest of the characters have very minimal screentime and many of them lack companion quests that are meaningful.
Tldr: we need a gacha game with a 1/1 ratio, interesting lore that keeps us on our toes, alongside characters that are unique and have human flaws and development that can be seen. A game that inspires people to be better, one that's not afraid to add twists and turns that make it stand out from the usual overused tropes (memory loss, the main hero being a god that's very important from the start, etc)
Yeah the desire to have all female characters is just so weird to me, I wouldn’t want the game to have all males, having 1/1 just feels more natural to any story and I’ve had the same experience with wuwa and zzz, really disappointed especially wuwa my desire to continue the story is just gone

Exactly that feeling, of not being comfortable while playing wuwa. I also play as the male rover and now every interaction feels like yet another potential girlfriend of his. It just feels like being objectified 24/7. Especially the way the women are designed with their moving jello like chests(just whyyy🫠).
They're all designed according to the typical 'male gaze'.
The storylines are too long, and the whole world and setting feels so cold and dissociative. Plus the voicelines are so monotone and dry. It gets really difficult to care about the world itself or the game altogether.
Cry more. Sexy women are the only reason to play gatchas. The stories are all trash.

Effectively making it impossible to make a synergistic team around him with him as the star of the show, unless you pull for every unit from his faction (but even then, he doesn't get to stay on field for long and it isn't exactly the most ideal team either, since Burnice prefers to be paired with another anomaly).
If he was a dps, you could've had a good and cheap team comp like: Lighter, Koleda + Lucy
But now you cannot, so you're cooked. I have Soldier 11 at Cinema 1 with her W engine, but I hate her playstyle, so I don't want her on field nor do I want to play with her extensively. Therefore, she is out of the question
On the other hand, I don't mind Koleda since she comes in, plops her attack, then skeddadles and allows the DPS to be the star of the show.
I would've preferred if I could've stayed on Lighter for longer, but stunners don't do that.
I am also not a fan of Harumasa and like Lighter way more, so there's nothing to look forward to in the game anymore. They'll most likely take another 4 months or longer to release another 5 star dude after these 2...

@@krissylopez-i5ethere's a reason powercreep heavy gacha games die within 3 months on global. no one wants their favorite character to become almost useless by the time a new character comes out.
Why do you think genshin is the biggest gacha game in the world? It takes years for any real powercreep to affect players, and even then without new characters you can still clear the game with more investment.
In tower of fantasy if you are top dps every time and quit for 3 months then come back, you'll be doing 10% of everyone else's damage. Shit business model, feels shit to play.
I don't know why asian players deal with it, maybe you're used to being oppressed by a shit government so you are just fine with more bullshit.

First time hearing about it but it's not quite my cup of tea in multiple aspects.
- I like open world exploration but not a cityscape
- I'm not into anime and this feels like the next step up from Genshin
- I don't like the characters... not into furry or crazy colors (so lots of Genshin characters are meh design as well)
Yeah it was inevitable that we quit wuwa and zzz 😢 i really want them to hook me through lore and good gameplay like genshin does

WuWa totally went down the drain for me. Even with them just adding it in, I can’t bring myself to play it. It lost my interest for sure.
I hate playing on my phone. I have a 13” M4 iPad Pro and a 16” M3 Max MacBook Pro and (I emulate iOS App Store on it) I can’t.. simply can’t bring myself to play on a baby phone.
Really don’t wanna jump through hoops to find a workaround like downloading Parallels just to emulate Windows to maybe get the Windows version that may tether controller but prob only m&k still.
Can’t stress enough how bad having Apple devices is for these games without controller supports enabled. Literally locked to playing on a little phone is 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

Yikes that game’s site doesn’t render properly for me on a fully updated iPad Mini Gen 5 with a default Safari browser.
They also have that site setup that prevents me from scrolling or zooming to even see the whole preregistration page. It has a down arrow that doesn’t work.
If I were to guess as a software developer, someone made the site for a certain aspect ratio but didn’t bother to test enough devices. They should have just let the site do the default layout.
…and if it’s “skill issue” on my part, sorry, I’m merciless when it comes to any preregistration. I’m not about to open my debugger or check a myriad of settings. That registration page either should load in 3 seconds or I leave (and according to Amazon’s marketing study I’m unusually patient: they measured they start losing customers after 0.15 seconds).

Honestly, I kept watching this video to support this channel.
I had seen the first stuff from this game a while ago and it looked nice. But now... naaaah. I'd prefer more male chars, I don't like GTA, not a fan of urban settings and I'm not a fan of too much "it reminds me of thisandthat game". The trash cans were enough for me to not wanna play it. Already too much of them in HSR. XD
Wuwa is such a sad case. Been playing genshin for years now and when I heard about wuwa and seen stuff about it, I thought this was it. I'm finally gonna quit playing genshin for a better game. I wanted wuwa to kill genshin for me. Instead I quit playing wuwa after a month because I do not feel immersed at all.

The ideas in this game seem kind of all over the place. I realized at the end of your video that I have no idea who we are, what organization we belong to, and what exactly is going on in the world that we're a part of. The combat looks kind of jerky in the way they do these dramatic pauses in the middle of your attack combos. The scenes look like something that would be an actual anime and not a game. Pass.
