Dehya and Xinyan have been saved from the depths by characters that actually want interruption resistance of some sort and occasional pyro for slow vapes (Mualani) or to sustain burning with dendro (Kinich, Emilie) Both still are kinda unacceptably bad but have a hypothetical use.
Yup, I love my Deyha with Kinich, she applies JUST the right amount of pyro to not overpower the burning aura, and Kinich's big boy shots do splash aoe which her pyro trigger will also apply to which makes her ironically enough decent at procing burgeon by herself. 100% not disappointed choosing Deyha as my free Anniversary 5star and then was even more hype when I got her c1 on a failed Kinich 50/50 which actually genuinely lets her E and Q output atleast SOME damage when I switch to her to reapply her field. Now do I wish her Red-mane's Blood actually did something in her kit, like boost her damage or something, yes. Yes I would very much like for half of her kit to actually work with the rest of her kit. But I gotta say she's a fine partner for Kinich burn especially with the anti-interrupt and damage diversion while he's swinging large circles around a boss.
Even there she is bad. The issue is that Dehya doesn't even work for units like Mualani unless you include someone like Emilie cause her skill doesn't proc on it's own but is rather a coordinated attack. you can run her with Kinich but she only exacerbates the circle impact issues that already come with Bennett. It sucks that in any team you can fit her into she is a cope inclusion just waiting to be relplaced by anything better.
@@ISAACcookie except she's not, burn specifically wants LOW pyro application, as too much pyro will out speed the Dendro consumption thus end burning earlier. In order to maintain the burn you want to apply it every 2 seconds or more. Of course this momentary use case is going out the window when Mauvika comes out and does that job of pyro application off field even better by not being stapled to a character designed as a tank.
Xinyan and Hydro Traveler are my picks for overall worst kits. Xinyan suffers from awful split scaling so you can’t feasibly build her without sacrificing one part of her kit. And even if you get godlike artifacts, she pales in comparison to Xiangling for Pyro application and damage and Thoma for shielding. Hydro Traveler is just a travesty. Pitiful numbers, Skill makes you a sitting duck, and the Burst is almost unusable since it doesn’t stick to an opponent.
I disagree with Xinyan being the worst since a lot of modern 4 star units just take the trash cake. That said, I completely forgot about hydro traveler. But I dont know if i would have put them in this video since hydro traveler is only 1/5th of travlers current kit
@@Mr_Leech_HGC actualy, as a main lumine user, i boosted all her talents. from personal experience and having boosted her as a physical (because i won't waste my time getting rtefacts for each of herelement), i saw that anemo traveler is THE worst traveler. hydro lumine, c6, talents at triple 9 is much better the anemo traveler, c6, talents at triple 9. plus, hydro lumine can also be considered as good, for exploration in fontaine, since she's the only free char with pneumousia along with lynette. also, i'm surprise to not have seen aloy in there. a cryo bow user, ganyu being the peak of cryo bow characters, diona i also far better then aloy, beng able to heal while getting shield. plus, loy doesn't even have access to her c1 and probably never will, at this point.
@@ericcardinal9138 Anemo traveler still has access to VV and elemental shred in their constellations so they still have a place in certain, sorta cope, situations. Pneumousia also gets covered by the free sword given in the fontaine world quest.
I read this comment prior to watching this video but upon actually hearing the mispronunciation, I heard "Arlan-cchino" and couldn't tell whether the 4-star Lightning/Destruction character was somehow related to The Knave or there was an Arlecchino team archetype I hadn't heard of.
Hey, Dori's usage should be 0.01% because I'm the guy that actually uses her in Spiral Abyss! Granted, mine is C6, built with ER out the ass, and is in a Chevy Overload team, but still! That said, she's _very_ clunky until at least C4 (which was a really odd trend with Sumeru 4-stars for some reason, the only exceptions being possibly Collei and Layla). Fun fact: Dori is legit _one of the better characters in Co-Op,_ primarily because her Burst scales off the number of people attached to it. There's a video on the Zajef Daily channel about it if you don't believe me (Testing Teams from the Coop Tier List).
Kaveh and Aloy seem to have dodged this discussion and I think both are worse than every character mentioned since aloy actually can't do her role and even if you get the infusion, the reward is subpar dps to even meme cyro dps playstyles. Kaveh is one the few characters like razor who i actually see people play the unintended roles with equal or greater success than the intended one, full EM for razor and shatter or spread on kaveh. I don't think he is the worst but I think chongyun in current year doesn't do much but cyro infusion is unique and has some uses along with being considered decent to good on release so by criteria of the video I get why he was excluded.
Kaveh would be much better if his skill could deal damage with more bloom cores than the usual limit (I think it's 2? Not sure). This way there would at least be some point in making him so much slower than Nilou, you'd get more instances of damage, but less often. Lower damage numbers, but also less restrictions, so you could add cryo/anemo to the mix if needed.
No joke, i legit forgot Mika was even a character in the game. Last time i saw him was in the cooking event in one of the 4.x patches. The fact that some ppl were begging for Kaveh to return but forgot bout Mika shows how much of a "EH" kit he has 💀
Tbh Kaveh is popular because his relation with Alhaitham, not really because of kit Meanwhile Mika is in lore & gameplay supposed to be related to Eula, who's also an equally irrelevant character too unfortunately 🗿
The problem is not the kit, but rather the character. Kaveh has a kit as bad if not worse than Mika, but he made his presence stay in the community? Mika? A few cameos in certain event and... adios, I guess.

I feel like Dori gets a bad rep considering giving her a sac greatsword and a support set like deepwood makes her a decent pick. Especially in energy hungry teams like Yae with Tighnari. Also, it baffles me how many people didn’t even consider using her when Cyno first came out considering the lamp heals, recharges, decent range, and they give electro resonance. She doesn’t solve all of his problems but she definitely helped and freed up the team slots. Dori is like the opposite of Kuki. Healing and support first, application and offense second.
I do believe Dori and Cyno are made for Aggravate team, and not Hyperbloom. They're doing a lot of small damage very fast instead of slow applications like Kuki.
I prefer to give her the Inayuma crafted sword over a Sacrificial. But regardless, she's not that good. She can provide energy, but honestly, Fav exists, and nobody is going to build their characters relying on Dori's energy regen on top of that. Her healing scales with HP, but she wants either atk with crit stats or EM for the rest. Her burst is kind of cool, but relatively small area, not great damage. Short of it is that she doesn't do enough besides heal. And about the only way to fix that is to have C6 and Furina in the mix. I do like playing her in coop though, since her burst tethers to all on-fielders. Kuki is just better all around for solo play. EM is how she deals damage, so she's easy to build... slap on EM and get as much HP for the rest. Elemental skill based healing, 100% uptime with a couple of cons. And even then, Kuki isn't considered that good, because supercharged/overloaded tends to be underestimated a tad as supplemental damage, and her HP sacrifice means she can be risky.
Sigewinne unironically is a bis for monohydro teams, and Dori also is pretty good at c6 , tbh Eula needs a dedicated atk speed character and she would be pretty decent hypothetically
Dori doesn't even need c6 to be pretty decent, having a healing hyperbloom trigger that hits as often as her ult beam does is just not able to really be *that* bad of a unit.
Sigewinne is a great vertical investment character for Mono Hydro, completely agree. She buffs Furina’s off field attacks and offsets her HP drain, and at C2 reduces Hydro Resistance. Great character for vertical scaling on Mono Hydro.

Xinyan is so bad. Physical DPS but Pyro. Can't make the shield strong without making damage suck and vice versa. Needs two enemies to be hit for highest level shield. Can't apply pyro once shield is broken. If I were to fix Xinyan, I'd have the skill instantly create a max level shield (rework the constellation to give that). No need to hit 2 enemies. Make the shield scale from attack so no sacrificing offense or defense. Since she's Pyro, the phys res shred in her kit should have been 40% minimum.
I'd agree, to gain a max shield you have to hit at least 2 enemies are a bogus design. The shield scaling off of atk is much better than def since the pyro resonance boosts atk, also could have added an atk scaling into the pyro pulsating in her shield. And physical on a pyro is just baffling. If the above ideas were the original intention for her, she could have been leagues more viable than Thoma. She's one of my OG units so I still use her from time to time but what was Mihoyo smoking when they were building her? A fucking concoction of vomit and diarrhea?
Honestly, the physical buff on a pyro isn't bad. The single biggest weakness (though not its only one) of physical is its weakness to shields. Two elements, and often poor app of said elements, while being super common things to run into. So Xinyan being phys focused and pyro is a good thing, in a more ideal world where Superconduct doesn't exist in its current form. Personally, what I think she needs is three things: 1) Def scaling for her offense should be baked into her kit. If you've ever played her with a Redhorn, she's a perfectly fine DPS four star, comparable with others. So if she had that scaling built in, as well as it applying to her burst, she'd be playable. 2) Her elemental skill needs to give the pyro pulses regardless of the number of enemies. She needs to be able to apply pyro reliably. 3) Her elemental skill's cooldown should be ~4 seconds shorter than it is. Again, so she can apply pyro more reliably.
with these changes I can see her an interesting 4★ physical dps in double pyro and cryo and electro for superconduct. or she could be a 4★ support if build her different

I don't see much problem with Mika but... the ONLY problem I had which you already mentioned is that HIS LONG ASS Cooldown Skill !! so yeah if he's got lower Cooldown Skill then yeah it's great to have cause... his supportive will be much easier or just add in Pela in HSR into Genshin already !!
Eh, Mika is so poorly designed. Physical, as a damage type, is almost always at a disadvantage for some reason. Its problem is not its damage ceiling. It's how rarely it gets to deal even remotely close to the damage ceiling. Part of that is poor kit design, with too much of Eula's damage tied to a burst, and burst with a long cooldown and up to 6s to fully charge up, 6s in which a lot can change. But things like shields (an issue due to superconduct pushing phys into just two elements, plus often poor elemental application on "phys friendly characters"), anemo being the grouping option while not pairing at all well with physical, and so on hose it. And so they give us Mika... the worst elemental app of any character, who buffs atk speed which doesn't work that well for claymores, and boosts damage. He's what someone who doesn't have any experience playing Eula would design as a Eula support.

I don't think his APPLICATION is the PROBLEM but the problem for me is that his Cooldown is long AF and it needed like at least 4 enemies to get full buffs from his skill but I'd rather just reduce cooldown or more Def Shred than just boost by stack by the amount of enemies he hit but I'd prefer it to be more on the AMOUNT of time he applied his stacks
@@ArthasHastingsMenethil That's the thing... if I can hit it, it's going to die, so I don't really care about hitting for even more. What I care about is a 20s cooldown on Eula's burst, and those 6 long seconds in which enemies can move away or routinely already take enough damage to make the burst not worth using. What I care about is that the enemy has a shield, and wouldn't you know, I lack the counter elements to take that shield down. So if it were up to me, I'd give him good electro app, not cryo, and do it more often. That way, Eula and Mika, now room for 2 others of whatever. I'd make him group/root enemies, not buff damage more. I'd make him reduce burst cooldown (note this would also be good for Xinyan), not boost attack speed. But yes, his needing lots of enemies to get the max buff is another design flaw. You need peak damage potential typically when dealing with a single high hp enemy, a boss. Not against some trash mobs. And because anemo doesn't mesh well with phys, you are unlikely to have grouping. And that long cooldown is the same issue Eula has with her 20s cooldown. You can't use it often enough. No matter how you look at it or what your preferences are, his kit is just designed by someone who doesn't understand what physical's issues are, and what it needs in a good support.
The biggest strengh of Sigewinne its not meta related, is just is so comfy to 1 click full heal team no ultimate energy needed and she can be equipped with literally trash and still work😂 For me its not a bad character, in fact is very good, its just by meta standarts has no reason to be used.
Im suprised Hydro MC wasnt mentioned. IMO they are not only worse than every character here, but they beat Dori, Aloy, and Xinyan to be the worst character in the game.
cyno also suffers from the curse of having other characters who can do his job but better, even on release--see keqing, and now basically clorinde. his advantage is that he benefits more from EM than the last two units but hes still generally the community punching bag meta wise. my favorite activity in theorycrafting circles is watching people try to make cyno good by putting baizhu then furina then xilonen and later on now ororon in his teams to work around his ridiculously long uptimes. they should call keqing mains cyno mains at this point based on how much effort people put to make him work without feeling cope
I don't think Cyno suffers from the curse of having characters can do what he can but better. His only problem was on release, he wasn't the switchable character that most characters are like Keqing and especially Clorinde, with their burst being just a burst while Cyno converts into electro for the whole duration. I have a Baizhu and don't use him with Cyno, I just use Kuki, Xingqui and Nahida and he works just fine. To be honest, with Kuki's skill, Xingqui's burst and nahida's skill, Cyno can just be the drive and it works fine but with him in his burst, the team practically kills everything in a 10 meter radius from where he's standing. Every character needs effort to make them work, and Cyno is no stranger to that.
I kinda agree on Cyno. I have his c2 but having to rely on his burst is such a pain. I did 36 stars the abyss with his hyperbloom but once I got Clorinde, I benched him.
never really had a problem with Mika tbh, his kit specifically wants you to use him in aoe scenarios to fully maximise his buffs and the only constellation of his that alleviates that a bit is his c2 or c6(but even that hilariously adds another signal arrow for you to get more detector stacks lol) I really don’t think Mika was made for Eula as he didn’t even debut on her banner like other niche 4 stars did and I find that he works better with freminet than he does with miss vengeance herself
i do not agree on some points. yes, sigewine isn't the goat, but she's really comfy pick, same as zhongli. Zhongli too doesn't buff you that much, the only thing he provides inside his kit is a mere 20% res Shred. that's not much but quite nice touch. In most of the teams he is a dps loss (outisde of few cases where we have to have interruption resistance, but even then there are a few cases like c1 of neuvi or Arlechino, or c1 xilonen and etc). She's a comfort character, just like Zhongli, but why then he isn't hated as much? Because of the Archon Bias i think. You can put all Zhongli sets on Sigewine like Tenacity or Noblesse, Archaic Petra is the exception but i could say Sigewine can use Fontaine healing set. Plus she is hydro, even is her application is abysmal, it's still 2-3 more reactions than GEO. Mika isn't great too, but he has some niche uses as atk speed buffer + healer for furina. I don't understand the point about building a lot of stats on him. You literally just need ER and HP. ER sands + Fav and crit rate circlet and he's basically done. If you want more healing then replace CR circlet for healing bonus and find few CR rolls below for at least like 40%. Dori is the similar case, but i think people overrate kuki. Kukis healing is so shit, you can probably barely survive with enough skill, but it's nowhere near if you need electro healer for furina. Shes really comfy at that. My favourite team for example is Cyno Nahida Dori Furina. I could place Baizhu instead of Nahida ir Dori and pick Fishl or something, but then I will have huge ER issues on cyno and/or probably Nahida, and Baizhu applies not so much dendro for both aggravate and hyperbloom, so this team will become basically into Electro Charged hyperbloom. Just give her Fav and ER sands with few ER rolls and you done, why would you need em on her when she procks 0 reactions with her poor application and there's cyno in the same team with 700 EM with all buffs?
The zhongli v sigewinne isnt the same at all. Archon bias might play some part but a shield is inherently more valuable than a healer for literally any team outside of furina. There's a reason healers themselves were pretty terrible and never really used unless they also buffed (Benny being the main outlier) before furina release. Lets compare what a shielder does and what a healer does- One makes it so u heal the dmg u take while making it so getting oneshotted is still possible but overall more *possible* sustainability. On the other hand, shields make it so you dont take dmg in the first place so u dont need a healer. However, the key differences being shields give you the ability to avoid being oneshot and the clear more valuable part, shields make it so you dont get interrupted. With a healer you can still be knocked into oblivion by consecrated beasts and get yourself staggered and have to retry but that just cant happen with a shielder. The main way shields are usually balanced are with this info in mind and hence most shielders have somewhat weak shields or require to be against specific elements or they dont have 100% up time. Zhongli on the other hand, does not have that problem. He has the ability to have all the upsides of shielding while still having a strong enough shield that doesn't break with 100% uptime Now as for sigewinne, which teams is she even good in?? She has no hydro off field application which is basically essential for a hydro support, doesnt really buff a team much and there exists literally the exact same team wide healer character who can be onfielded except with the possibility of offield application too in ayaka. Sigewinne's burst is literally a dps loss in most *good* teams that you could ever use her in. The main reason you would ever use sigewinne is for furina and frankly there isnt much benefit to using her over even someone like barbara. For basically everyone, why would you ever use a team wide healer that heals slowly and has no off field hydro app over even barbara who has at least some hydro app that can be used off field. When you look at alternatives for sigewinne in any team, there are a plethora of options. Look for an alternative for zhongli's defensive utility in any team that requires it and they'll mostly be worse. That is the real reason he's looked upon fondly. Back when zhongli had a weak shield and no offensive utility he was as terrible as sigewinne and thats why he got buffed (Sigewinne wont get buffed cuz she doesnt get the china hate like zl did). His buffed state is still not a great character for speedruns or anything but he does have one of if not the highest defensive utility in the game and cant be solely attributed to "Archon bias" Also idk how you play but you do not have to be a god gamer to survive with kuki lol. Her healing is more than enough for 99% of scenarios and in those 1% it really is not that hard to just dodge 1-2 times unless you suffer from severe skill issue. For most people looking to clear abyss, kuki is overall just better with no energy problems like dori does. I do agree that c6 dori is really underrated tho. Putting dori as the worst character in the game is an extremely braindead take by the video guy Edit: Bunch of typos and added kuki healing comment
one thing that has suprised me is how much buffs dehya got since fontaine. She got buffed through various ways like furina, chevruesse, xilonen for her dps playstyle or u can go the comfort route of support via kinich, nuevillette, lyney, wrio etc for her dps teams especially overload u can build her with no er since chevy has 5 pyro particles, bennett 2-3 particles and raiden is a battery, giving u her burst every rotaion. in her vaporize team with furina with tenacity of the millelith, benny and xilonen , and if she has 82-86 em she can reach 107k punches to those that vape, the none vape can range around 46k. her mono pyro route is with benny, xilonen and kazuha. Dehya is the perfect example of character who was released at the wrong time
The thing with Dori is you need the C6 to work well with Furina, after using her elemental you need to do 3 normal attacks to heal the whole party and activate quicker than Kuki Shinobu all Furina buffs, Dori needs the Thundering Fury set to get her elemental quick making her a decent driver for reactions, then the real problem is not if a character is bad, but how many constellations you need to make it do it's intended role, and many characters fall in that problem, FTP unfriendly is more of a intended design aimed at wallets and that's the sad true.
Even with cons, it isn't good. It's like playing Diluc plunge, Keqing aggravate, Noelle w/ Furina, or using Siggy. The team might be functional, but you're playing them because you want to use the character or you are a new player and just lack other options, not because the character has a good kit. Which, by the way, as a former Eula main who now mains Dehya, who also has a C2 Siggy, got Redhorn just for Xinyan, and so on, I heartily approve of. Getting the rewards is binary, so as long as you can accomplish what you want, maximize the fun!
@@Axterix13 I get you, I'm also a Eula mainer with a Mika C5 a latter Dehya C2, a build Xinyan, tried to get Redhorn for Noelle but get Chidori sword, go for a Furina C2 instead of Siggy or Neuvi, now a Xilonen enjoyer, and yeah you play a character more because you like it, being bad is subjective if it cleans content with a good team, the fun is the only value you can get so what is people doing if they don´t get it enjoying the game.
I remember getting eula on her re-run banner to prove the haters wrong and show that my ice queen can still carry. I'll let you know when i get there, soul.
The Wriothesley problem is that he won't EVER get his his gracious rebuke on a team with a strong healer like Bennett. His C1 literally unlocks the character. It makes him able to work with Bennett, doubles the Gracious Rebuke dmg, and doubles the trigger rate. You go from no gracious rebukes with Bennett to suddenly 5 gracious rebukes at double the damage (C0 is 2/3)
I think if Sigewhinne leaned more into “healer that decently buffs off-field skills” rather than “Helaer that can do damage” would’ve helped her more. I don’t it would make her top tier, but she would definitely be much more useful if she leaned into that skill buff a lot more since we have a decent handful of characters who’s niche is off field damaging skills.
I will defend Cyno, and I have used him since he was released. He's incredibly powerful, but a lot of people just don't realize it. He is a staple for my spiral abyss teams and I don't plan on changing it.

Previously I have used Xinyan as a poverty shielder on Hu tao teams. She gives pyro resonance, and her pyro application is awful against single target so it doesn't disrupt hu tao's vapes.
I have a C6 dori, and I’m honestly really confused by her C6 effect. Getting 3 seconds of electro infusion and healing on her normal attacks feels so useless with her slow attack chain, especially if she gets hit and knocked back. Then you lose at least a second of that uptime, which is, you know… a third of it.
i like Sigewinne play style her healing goes away and her CD is already done, so heal uptime is always good shes a good partner for Furina to keep Furinas minus hp stuff mitigated, partner her with some Anemo CC and another element to react to them , you would get a really comfy team IE , Furina, Sucrose , Xiangling , Sigewinne
As much as I hate Dori's personality which revolves only on business, I found out she's actually viable in certain teams that requires a healer, battery some gaps that some characters who can't refill their bursts by just a couple of uses of their skill and a little electro application, especially with C2. But I do agree, even in counteracting and maximizing her kit to the fullest extent possible, she's just bad in any way possible, could have been more useful if her kit wasn't so all over the place.
as a sigewinne main i totally agree with you, i like her healing but damn other characters heal better in less time, i kinda get her at c6 by accident and my is very strong but in general she's not great,when i first saw her u though she was a 4★
I have C6 Dori. At one time, I tried using her on the Overworld so that I have a Claymore character to mine ores. She is actually serviceable with the damage dealing, healing, etc. However, she is a chibi character. That means walking around with her is extremely slow. When I'm farming ores, it takes me longer getting around when using her as the ore breaker.
I wish Dori was just an electro DPS that can heal with her normals, like an electro Noelle. Her normal atk animations are great. Maybe if she was released post Natlan she'd be able to ride her genie with her e-skill.
I LOVE siggewine as a character, and pulled her the moment she released. I can't remember the last time I used her. only time I use her is when I need a healer on a team and kazuha is already on the team. I absolutely adore her design, but i don't use her at all. I don't regret her tho
Funny watching this video when I use both Siegwinne and Dori in abyss. One side is Navia, Ningguang, Dori and Yae Miko, the other is Noelle, Chiori, Furina and Siegwinne. Gonna need to make room for Xilonen next abyss though but this video is motivating me to not cut Dori and Siegwinne.
Once upon a time I pulled on Cyno's banner to get a copy of Dory, and got early Cyno instead. I've never used either. I just wanted my four-star collection complete. Hoyo announced a free Dori for everyone the next patch.
Cyno is not bad; players are just not used to burst-focused DPSs because it's a rare archetype in Genshin. People do not have the patience to understand the character's kit, and in the end, it just becomes another meta punching bag
sigewene seemed like she should have been the furina of BOL, applying it to everyone, thats what i was hoping when i got arlechinos weapon. But now it just collects dust. its still crazy to me they only have 3 BOL characters, that mechanic could have been really cool.
I would want to add some information to this video, because the topic is interesting: Thoma - He is admittidly not the strongest character, but his kit very well work with NA characters as he is basicly the best shielder in the game if you can consistently proc his passive. (I don't mean he have the highest shied absorbation, but thet because he can refresh his shield he have basicly infinte interruption resistence and damage reduction even if the shield break) This is in practice make him very good in Wanderer and Clorinde teams as well. For Clorinde he is currently the best in slot option for Chevreuse teams. This latter will be further buffed after we get the changes for the tranformative reactions. Siegwinne - It is not really about her, I think she is not great, but in th epart where you talked about her you mentioned thet being non-best in slot anywhere would make a character bad so I doN't really understand why are you said thet Albedo is better then Siegwinne. Chiori is runing circles around poor Albedo and practicly speaking Siegwinne have much more team where she is good. I think because of the latter Eula should be put down as well, she is still very bad. Honestly the two worst limited 5* is Eula and Albedo in the game just how little use they have. Dori - Okey, so, she is a unit in Genshin impact... until C6. The problem with Dori is the same problem a lot of Sumeru 4* had, namely thet they are borderline useless without C6. Candace, Dori and Faruzan. But because of this Dori with C6 is an entirly different story. The thing is, beign an electro onfielder who can infuce itself and heal the whole team the same time is a pretty damn strong thing post Furina. She enables a team with Furina, Nahida and Fischl, and top on thet she can use Nahida buff unlike Kuki. And even outside of this she is pretty competen unit for aggravate or electro-charged as well. I hate admit it, but C6 Dori honestly a good character. Before C6 though, she only can be used as a Furina slave.
I would say that When it comes to bad first impressions, Yoimiya is the poster child of that. She had quite some nasty bugs at release, she only had 3 good teammates (Zhongli, Fishl and Bennett) and the Abyss didn't focus on boss units. She got better over time, but she didn't get the recognition that she deserved (despite being best girl) before Liney came and finished her off.
My son Mika mentioned… but at what cost… All jokes aside, i feel like Mika is better than people think, but his problem is needing a insane amount of energy. I personally love Mika more in Co op then single player, because you get so much energy and can consistently heal. But im also a mika defender till i die. Also hopefully when we get a better physical dps, mika will get stronger
I actually think Dori works better with Cyno than Shinobu--especially with the ER buff, since she helps him use his burst off cooldown. Of course she's equipped with a Favonius Greatsword, but this frees up my Shinobu for Alhaitham
I like Sigewinne, but I just can't find a good use for her in my teams. I used her with Navia to max out Furina’s ult, but Bennett, Xilonen, and Jean heal and buff damage better. It’s sad because she’s so cute, but other characters are just more efficient and feel better to use.
Mika’s attack speed buff isn’t entirely useless on Eula and he does have other buffs, especially with cons he can be quite good and he heals a lot so he can enable Furina, he’s not that great but he’s not atrocious, Dori is decent and imo the energy recharge is not the main part of her kit it’s just something extra that she can give, if her burst had a lower cost she would be way better, Eula and Klee are pretty solid, nowhere near as bad as sigewinne, and Wrio isn’t unusable at c0, people exaggerate it a lot but ge does feel way better with c1
No Yoimiya mention ain't no way. Also Cyno issues is still the same when he release, he's terrible in multi-wave/Aoe content. Nahida/Baizhu doesn't help with any of that, only with ST and bosses mainly. And now Clorinde just out dps Cyno in a HB team by virtue of not needing a healer with Furina so she can run Fischl instead of Baizhu for more damage overall.
I think yoyomia is over shitted on. She's a nice big fuck you button to a lot of the most annoying bosses in the game, so I like her. But I am biased because I got her sig on accident while pulling for a different weapon, and I have her C1 since I got two of her in a 10 pull And my artifacts for her are just, insase because of emblem farming
For me maining Yoimiya without bias Id say she a good dps with some minor pushovers within the Kit such as burst Efficiency and the survivability dilemma. Usually what pushed Yoimiya as a whole character is Hu Tao Existence. Since yes, practically Hu Tao takes care of Multi-wave, survival/endurance, and boss fights more effectively without minor pushbacks. Before newer pyro dps were involved, Yoimiya exceeded in 1/2 thing and that’s Versatility and Single Target but everything else is Yoimiya’s Kryptonite, leading to get unneeded since other Pyro dps can clear more effectively without a stress.
She's not a BAD character, she's your usual run of the mill dps dude, nothing wrong with her, or any synergy issues, she's just overshadowed, doesn't mean she's bad

I punch it down with Dehya while Nahida applies off-field damage, with 2 electros (this is pre-Emilie... now bird would be dead so fast with Emilie in the mix) cheering them on. She's one of the characters I wish they'd give a little buff to, to be honest. Give her what Itto has, the ability to dash without breaking her attack chain. Just that nice little QoL change...
as a dehya user i can say w just a Touch of confidence ur almost definitely not using her to her full potential also her characterisation is badass but it's kinda obvious hoyo has it out for any character with a drop of melanin so of course her kit got the shit end of the stick. nevertheless she is still very beautiful to me!!!
Im gonna be honest, Deyha is great on my account. Im a Lyney and a Neuvillete main. Deyha lets me play my Lyney in burning, overload, and vape because of her interruption resistance. Shes only level 70 but her value on those teams is high because she gives Lyney a stack for both his passive and his weapon. As for Neuvillete, shes great considering I don't have his c1. She doesn't apply that much pyro, but shes still useful if I want to run vape or free up my Zhongli for another team Her only problem for me is her uptime, but shes decent with sacrificial. Her lack of damage is made up for due to how strong the DPS characters I run her with are
I remember getting Dori, tried to make a set for her... then i tried using her. 2 minutes later I was asking what was she contributing? From that moment i put her away and never used her for anything ever again. That was the fastest i ever recognized a character was trash beyond saving. Low application, usless burst healing and damage, insanely demanding stat requirements for practically no benefit. Not only does Dori rip people of in lore, her character rips you off for investing any effort into her kit just to accomplish nothing. even though i have 74 characters all level 90 with talents 6+ i cannot even think of a proper role dori could fill. Theres just no scenario where Doris supposed abilities come into play, i still dont know what she was eant for (i mean i know what they say she does but that doesnt translate to 'this characters role is xxxxx')

I kinda agreed with the cyno, he's powerful but there's one thing that you forgot. There's alhaitam who's has the same archetype with more f2p friendly team. Where's alhaitham hyperbloom dmg is better cause the hyperbloom applicator can build full em, cyno doesn't. He can't really have up to 1000 em like kuki shinobu did, and he's Bound to her burst that makes him really difficult to play if you don't have enough stat. Another problem than cyno has is when you switch into cyno, you can't really switch to anyone else

Dori certainly the meta for the said reason but she's not an energy recharge character, Mihoyo try to spec her as a hybrid healer / battery and it just do not work out in single player mode , that said though , when she's put into co-op team , that's a totally different story , her burst can heal and charge the whole team together and is actually quite strong in that regard my take is she's not a primary support but a secondary support better used in specialized team as many of the specialized play characters are , just that her part is very particular , and certainly not meta , Overload team comes to mind
Surprised to not see Xinyan here. Even though the release of Mualani made her made her a lot more useful, she's definitely not even the third choice for Mualani teams. But the thing is, her kit is a complete mess: her ult scales on physical dmg (and pyro dmg? What?), her shield scales on def and has to hit multiple enemies to be fully effective and even then it barely resists two hits. Oh, and for some reason her ascension is... Atk%...? Why? For me personally, Xinyan is the embodiment of bad character design: everything in her kit contradicts itself. Which is a shame, I really like her as a character. Ps: I guess at least if you want to make her a burst dps, you don't need to worry about crit rate, since her c2 makes her ult always crit.

One of my friends ranted about Dehya on release saying she was the worst character (Dehya have some uses cases as we know), and Dori at c6 isnt that bad, Sagewine is hydro so she has uses as well. I just cant find a use for her, really bad cryo application, nice healing but yeah others do the job better for Furina and...thats it? Cyno felt best to me when used with a C2 Baizhu, Furina, Nahida. It is quite expensive to build this team compared to Al-Haitham/Keqing/Yae/Clorinde. Furthermore he requires much more care in the sub stats unlike the rest of the alternatives. Also Gilded Dreams is a dog shit artifact set with its uptime and Cyno's burst long time. Thundering Fury becomes the best options for better energy economy and smoother execution of his combos. Feels bad man its alot of dmg lost. Clorinde is in a better state than Cyno and she gets free crit rate too. problem with her is the awkward downtime between her skill uses that needs filling and how bad it feels to owe Fischl your lunch money and almost half of your team's dps. Again she will feel smoother to play with Thundering Fury but unlike dogshit Gilded Dreams, Harmonic Whimsy is so good on Clorinde and would feel awful to replace. In the end I think the best thing about both Clorinde and Cyno were their broken 5 star weapons giving alot of raw states. I feel kinda bad that maybe the design space for electro dps roles is just gated by Thundering Fury's potential and Raiden/Fischl generalist approaches.
Im not good with the meta, so I might be wrong with this, but I do enjoy using Mika with Wriothesley. I mainly use him for healing when I want to make some freeze teams with Furina
i feel like sigewinne is really good for healing in burning teams, now i can't confirm that bc i don't have emilie nor kinich but i say this bc say you have your dps on first half and you will need bennett well you can use sigewinne in your second half with your burning team with emilie and kinich. idk though, you guys can prove me wrong just an idea 😭
i do wanna clarify that i KNOW sigewinne is not a good character but i love her and i pulled for her lore and design, i literally cried when i pulled her and i am planning on double crowning and getting c2 (maybe weapon) somewhere down the line

Surprisingly, even with her terrible kit, Dehya has become useful lately because of the addition of new characters who can use her pyro application
Dehya and Xinyan have been saved from the depths by characters that actually want interruption resistance of some sort and occasional pyro for slow vapes (Mualani) or to sustain burning with dendro (Kinich, Emilie)
Both still are kinda unacceptably bad but have a hypothetical use.
Yup, I love my Deyha with Kinich, she applies JUST the right amount of pyro to not overpower the burning aura, and Kinich's big boy shots do splash aoe which her pyro trigger will also apply to which makes her ironically enough decent at procing burgeon by herself. 100% not disappointed choosing Deyha as my free Anniversary 5star and then was even more hype when I got her c1 on a failed Kinich 50/50 which actually genuinely lets her E and Q output atleast SOME damage when I switch to her to reapply her field.
Now do I wish her Red-mane's Blood actually did something in her kit, like boost her damage or something, yes. Yes I would very much like for half of her kit to actually work with the rest of her kit. But I gotta say she's a fine partner for Kinich burn especially with the anti-interrupt and damage diversion while he's swinging large circles around a boss.

The issue is that Dehya doesn't even work for units like Mualani unless you include someone like Emilie cause her skill doesn't proc on it's own but is rather a coordinated attack. you can run her with Kinich but she only exacerbates the circle impact issues that already come with Bennett.
It sucks that in any team you can fit her into she is a cope inclusion just waiting to be relplaced by anything better.
@@ISAACcookie except she's not, burn specifically wants LOW pyro application, as too much pyro will out speed the Dendro consumption thus end burning earlier. In order to maintain the burn you want to apply it every 2 seconds or more. Of course this momentary use case is going out the window when Mauvika comes out and does that job of pyro application off field even better by not being stapled to a character designed as a tank.
Xinyan and Hydro Traveler are my picks for overall worst kits.
Xinyan suffers from awful split scaling so you can’t feasibly build her without sacrificing one part of her kit. And even if you get godlike artifacts, she pales in comparison to Xiangling for Pyro application and damage and Thoma for shielding.
Hydro Traveler is just a travesty. Pitiful numbers, Skill makes you a sitting duck, and the Burst is almost unusable since it doesn’t stick to an opponent.
I disagree with Xinyan being the worst since a lot of modern 4 star units just take the trash cake.
That said, I completely forgot about hydro traveler. But I dont know if i would have put them in this video since hydro traveler is only 1/5th of travlers current kit
@@Mr_Leech_HGC actualy, as a main lumine user, i boosted all her talents. from personal experience and having boosted her as a physical (because i won't waste my time getting rtefacts for each of herelement), i saw that anemo traveler is THE worst traveler. hydro lumine, c6, talents at triple 9 is much better the anemo traveler, c6, talents at triple 9. plus, hydro lumine can also be considered as good, for exploration in fontaine, since she's the only free char with pneumousia along with lynette.
also, i'm surprise to not have seen aloy in there. a cryo bow user, ganyu being the peak of cryo bow characters, diona i also far better then aloy, beng able to heal while getting shield. plus, loy doesn't even have access to her c1 and probably never will, at this point.
@@ericcardinal9138 Anemo traveler still has access to VV and elemental shred in their constellations so they still have a place in certain, sorta cope, situations. Pneumousia also gets covered by the free sword given in the fontaine world quest.

I read this comment prior to watching this video but upon actually hearing the mispronunciation, I heard "Arlan-cchino" and couldn't tell whether the 4-star Lightning/Destruction character was somehow related to The Knave or there was an Arlecchino team archetype I hadn't heard of.

Hey, Dori's usage should be 0.01% because I'm the guy that actually uses her in Spiral Abyss! Granted, mine is C6, built with ER out the ass, and is in a Chevy Overload team, but still!
That said, she's _very_ clunky until at least C4 (which was a really odd trend with Sumeru 4-stars for some reason, the only exceptions being possibly Collei and Layla).
Fun fact: Dori is legit _one of the better characters in Co-Op,_ primarily because her Burst scales off the number of people attached to it. There's a video on the Zajef Daily channel about it if you don't believe me (Testing Teams from the Coop Tier List).
Kaveh and Aloy seem to have dodged this discussion and I think both are worse than every character mentioned since aloy actually can't do her role and even if you get the infusion, the reward is subpar dps to even meme cyro dps playstyles. Kaveh is one the few characters like razor who i actually see people play the unintended roles with equal or greater success than the intended one, full EM for razor and shatter or spread on kaveh.
I don't think he is the worst but I think chongyun in current year doesn't do much but cyro infusion is unique and has some uses along with being considered decent to good on release so by criteria of the video I get why he was excluded.

Kaveh would be much better if his skill could deal damage with more bloom cores than the usual limit (I think it's 2? Not sure). This way there would at least be some point in making him so much slower than Nilou, you'd get more instances of damage, but less often. Lower damage numbers, but also less restrictions, so you could add cryo/anemo to the mix if needed.
No joke, i legit forgot Mika was even a character in the game. Last time i saw him was in the cooking event in one of the 4.x patches.

I feel like Dori gets a bad rep considering giving her a sac greatsword and a support set like deepwood makes her a decent pick. Especially in energy hungry teams like Yae with Tighnari.
Also, it baffles me how many people didn’t even consider using her when Cyno first came out considering the lamp heals, recharges, decent range, and they give electro resonance. She doesn’t solve all of his problems but she definitely helped and freed up the team slots. Dori is like the opposite of Kuki. Healing and support first, application and offense second.
I do believe Dori and Cyno are made for Aggravate team, and not Hyperbloom. They're doing a lot of small damage very fast instead of slow applications like Kuki.
I prefer to give her the Inayuma crafted sword over a Sacrificial.
But regardless, she's not that good. She can provide energy, but honestly, Fav exists, and nobody is going to build their characters relying on Dori's energy regen on top of that. Her healing scales with HP, but she wants either atk with crit stats or EM for the rest. Her burst is kind of cool, but relatively small area, not great damage. Short of it is that she doesn't do enough besides heal. And about the only way to fix that is to have C6 and Furina in the mix. I do like playing her in coop though, since her burst tethers to all on-fielders.
Kuki is just better all around for solo play. EM is how she deals damage, so she's easy to build... slap on EM and get as much HP for the rest. Elemental skill based healing, 100% uptime with a couple of cons. And even then, Kuki isn't considered that good, because supercharged/overloaded tends to be underestimated a tad as supplemental damage, and her HP sacrifice means she can be risky.
@@Axterix13Kuki only kills herself so far. Once you reach her percentage health floor, her remaining HP is still higher than many on field dps units.
Sigewinne unironically is a bis for monohydro teams, and Dori also is pretty good at c6 , tbh Eula needs a dedicated atk speed character and she would be pretty decent hypothetically
Dori doesn't even need c6 to be pretty decent, having a healing hyperbloom trigger that hits as often as her ult beam does is just not able to really be *that* bad of a unit.

Sigewinne is a great vertical investment character for Mono Hydro, completely agree. She buffs Furina’s off field attacks and offsets her HP drain, and at C2 reduces Hydro Resistance. Great character for vertical scaling on Mono Hydro.

Can't make the shield strong without making damage suck and vice versa.
Needs two enemies to be hit for highest level shield.

If I were to fix Xinyan, I'd have the skill instantly create a max level shield (rework the constellation to give that). No need to hit 2 enemies.
Make the shield scale from attack so no sacrificing offense or defense.
Since she's Pyro, the phys res shred in her kit should have been 40% minimum.
I'd agree, to gain a max shield you have to hit at least 2 enemies are a bogus design.
The shield scaling off of atk is much better than def since the pyro resonance boosts atk, also could have added an atk scaling into the pyro pulsating in her shield.
And physical on a pyro is just baffling.
If the above ideas were the original intention for her, she could have been leagues more viable than Thoma.

Honestly, the physical buff on a pyro isn't bad. The single biggest weakness (though not its only one) of physical is its weakness to shields. Two elements, and often poor app of said elements, while being super common things to run into. So Xinyan being phys focused and pyro is a good thing, in a more ideal world where Superconduct doesn't exist in its current form.
Personally, what I think she needs is three things:
1) Def scaling for her offense should be baked into her kit. If you've ever played her with a Redhorn, she's a perfectly fine DPS four star, comparable with others. So if she had that scaling built in, as well as it applying to her burst, she'd be playable.
2) Her elemental skill needs to give the pyro pulses regardless of the number of enemies. She needs to be able to apply pyro reliably.
3) Her elemental skill's cooldown should be ~4 seconds shorter than it is. Again, so she can apply pyro more reliably.
with these changes I can see her an interesting 4★ physical dps in double pyro and cryo and electro for superconduct. or she could be a 4★ support if build her different
OK so as Eula main... I don't see much problem with Mika but... the ONLY problem I had which you already mentioned is that HIS LONG ASS Cooldown Skill !!

Eh, Mika is so poorly designed. Physical, as a damage type, is almost always at a disadvantage for some reason. Its problem is not its damage ceiling. It's how rarely it gets to deal even remotely close to the damage ceiling. Part of that is poor kit design, with too much of Eula's damage tied to a burst, and burst with a long cooldown and up to 6s to fully charge up, 6s in which a lot can change. But things like shields (an issue due to superconduct pushing phys into just two elements, plus often poor elemental application on "phys friendly characters"), anemo being the grouping option while not pairing at all well with physical, and so on hose it.
And so they give us Mika... the worst elemental app of any character, who buffs atk speed which doesn't work that well for claymores, and boosts damage. He's what someone who doesn't have any experience playing Eula would design as a Eula support.

@@ArthasHastingsMenethil That's the thing... if I can hit it, it's going to die, so I don't really care about hitting for even more. What I care about is a 20s cooldown on Eula's burst, and those 6 long seconds in which enemies can move away or routinely already take enough damage to make the burst not worth using. What I care about is that the enemy has a shield, and wouldn't you know, I lack the counter elements to take that shield down.
So if it were up to me, I'd give him good electro app, not cryo, and do it more often. That way, Eula and Mika, now room for 2 others of whatever. I'd make him group/root enemies, not buff damage more. I'd make him reduce burst cooldown (note this would also be good for Xinyan), not boost attack speed.
But yes, his needing lots of enemies to get the max buff is another design flaw. You need peak damage potential typically when dealing with a single high hp enemy, a boss. Not against some trash mobs. And because anemo doesn't mesh well with phys, you are unlikely to have grouping. And that long cooldown is the same issue Eula has with her 20s cooldown. You can't use it often enough.
No matter how you look at it or what your preferences are, his kit is just designed by someone who doesn't understand what physical's issues are, and what it needs in a good support.

cyno also suffers from the curse of having other characters who can do his job but better, even on release--see keqing, and now basically clorinde. his advantage is that he benefits more from EM than the last two units but hes still generally the community punching bag meta wise.
my favorite activity in theorycrafting circles is watching people try to make cyno good by putting baizhu then furina then xilonen and later on now ororon in his teams to work around his ridiculously long uptimes. they should call keqing mains cyno mains at this point based on how much effort people put to make him work without feeling cope
I don't think Cyno suffers from the curse of having characters can do what he can but better.
His only problem was on release, he wasn't the switchable character that most characters are like Keqing and especially Clorinde, with their burst being just a burst while Cyno converts into electro for the whole duration.
I have a Baizhu and don't use him with Cyno, I just use Kuki, Xingqui and Nahida and he works just fine. To be honest, with Kuki's skill, Xingqui's burst and nahida's skill, Cyno can just be the drive and it works fine but with him in his burst, the team practically kills everything in a 10 meter radius from where he's standing.
Every character needs effort to make them work, and Cyno is no stranger to that.
I kinda agree on Cyno. I have his c2 but having to rely on his burst is such a pain. I did 36 stars the abyss with his hyperbloom but once I got Clorinde, I benched him.

never really had a problem with Mika tbh, his kit specifically wants you to use him in aoe scenarios to fully maximise his buffs and the only constellation of his that alleviates that a bit is his c2 or c6(but even that hilariously adds another signal arrow for you to get more detector stacks lol) I really don’t think Mika was made for Eula as he didn’t even debut on her banner like other niche 4 stars did and I find that he works better with freminet than he does with miss vengeance herself

yes, sigewine isn't the goat, but she's really comfy pick, same as zhongli. Zhongli too doesn't buff you that much, the only thing he provides inside his kit is a mere 20% res Shred. that's not much but quite nice touch. In most of the teams he is a dps loss (outisde of few cases where we have to have interruption resistance, but even then there are a few cases like c1 of neuvi or Arlechino, or c1 xilonen and etc). She's a comfort character, just like Zhongli, but why then he isn't hated as much? Because of the Archon Bias i think. You can put all Zhongli sets on Sigewine like Tenacity or Noblesse, Archaic Petra is the exception but i could say Sigewine can use Fontaine healing set. Plus she is hydro, even is her application is abysmal, it's still 2-3 more reactions than GEO.
Mika isn't great too, but he has some niche uses as atk speed buffer + healer for furina. I don't understand the point about building a lot of stats on him. You literally just need ER and HP. ER sands + Fav and crit rate circlet and he's basically done. If you want more healing then replace CR circlet for healing bonus and find few CR rolls below for at least like 40%.
Dori is the similar case, but i think people overrate kuki. Kukis healing is so shit, you can probably barely survive with enough skill, but it's nowhere near if you need electro healer for furina. Shes really comfy at that. My favourite team for example is Cyno Nahida Dori Furina. I could place Baizhu instead of Nahida ir Dori and pick Fishl or something, but then I will have huge ER issues on cyno and/or probably Nahida, and Baizhu applies not so much dendro for both aggravate and hyperbloom, so this team will become basically into Electro Charged hyperbloom. Just give her Fav and ER sands with few ER rolls and you done, why would you need em on her when she procks 0 reactions with her poor application and there's cyno in the same team with 700 EM with all buffs?
The zhongli v sigewinne isnt the same at all. Archon bias might play some part but a shield is inherently more valuable than a healer for literally any team outside of furina. There's a reason healers themselves were pretty terrible and never really used unless they also buffed (Benny being the main outlier) before furina release. Lets compare what a shielder does and what a healer does- One makes it so u heal the dmg u take while making it so getting oneshotted is still possible but overall more *possible* sustainability. On the other hand, shields make it so you dont take dmg in the first place so u dont need a healer. However, the key differences being shields give you the ability to avoid being oneshot and the clear more valuable part, shields make it so you dont get interrupted. With a healer you can still be knocked into oblivion by consecrated beasts and get yourself staggered and have to retry but that just cant happen with a shielder.
The main way shields are usually balanced are with this info in mind and hence most shielders have somewhat weak shields or require to be against specific elements or they dont have 100% up time. Zhongli on the other hand, does not have that problem. He has the ability to have all the upsides of shielding while still having a strong enough shield that doesn't break with 100% uptime
Now as for sigewinne, which teams is she even good in?? She has no hydro off field application which is basically essential for a hydro support, doesnt really buff a team much and there exists literally the exact same team wide healer character who can be onfielded except with the possibility of offield application too in ayaka.
Sigewinne's burst is literally a dps loss in most *good* teams that you could ever use her in.
The main reason you would ever use sigewinne is for furina and frankly there isnt much benefit to using her over even someone like barbara. For basically everyone, why would you ever use a team wide healer that heals slowly and has no off field hydro app over even barbara who has at least some hydro app that can be used off field.
When you look at alternatives for sigewinne in any team, there are a plethora of options. Look for an alternative for zhongli's defensive utility in any team that requires it and they'll mostly be worse. That is the real reason he's looked upon fondly.
Back when zhongli had a weak shield and no offensive utility he was as terrible as sigewinne and thats why he got buffed (Sigewinne wont get buffed cuz she doesnt get the china hate like zl did). His buffed state is still not a great character for speedruns or anything but he does have one of if not the highest defensive utility in the game and cant be solely attributed to "Archon bias"
Also idk how you play but you do not have to be a god gamer to survive with kuki lol. Her healing is more than enough for 99% of scenarios and in those 1% it really is not that hard to just dodge 1-2 times unless you suffer from severe skill issue. For most people looking to clear abyss, kuki is overall just better with no energy problems like dori does.
I do agree that c6 dori is really underrated tho. Putting dori as the worst character in the game is an extremely braindead take by the video guy

one thing that has suprised me is how much buffs dehya got since fontaine.
She got buffed through various ways like furina, chevruesse, xilonen for her dps playstyle or u can go the comfort route of support via kinich, nuevillette, lyney, wrio etc
for her dps teams especially overload u can build her with no er since chevy has 5 pyro particles, bennett 2-3 particles and raiden is a battery, giving u her burst every rotaion.
in her vaporize team with furina with tenacity of the millelith, benny and xilonen , and if she has 82-86 em she can reach 107k punches to those that vape, the none vape can range around 46k.
her mono pyro route is with benny, xilonen and kazuha.
Dehya is the perfect example of character who was released at the wrong time
The thing with Dori is you need the C6 to work well with Furina, after using her elemental you need to do 3 normal attacks to heal the whole party and activate quicker than Kuki Shinobu all Furina buffs, Dori needs the Thundering Fury set to get her elemental quick making her a decent driver for reactions, then the real problem is not if a character is bad, but how many constellations you need to make it do it's intended role, and many characters fall in that problem, FTP unfriendly is more of a intended design aimed at wallets and that's the sad true.
Even with cons, it isn't good. It's like playing Diluc plunge, Keqing aggravate, Noelle w/ Furina, or using Siggy. The team might be functional, but you're playing them because you want to use the character or you are a new player and just lack other options, not because the character has a good kit.
Which, by the way, as a former Eula main who now mains Dehya, who also has a C2 Siggy, got Redhorn just for Xinyan, and so on, I heartily approve of. Getting the rewards is binary, so as long as you can accomplish what you want, maximize the fun!
@@Axterix13 I get you, I'm also a Eula mainer with a Mika C5 a latter Dehya C2, a build Xinyan, tried to get Redhorn for Noelle but get Chidori sword, go for a Furina C2 instead of Siggy or Neuvi, now a Xilonen enjoyer, and yeah you play a character more because you like it, being bad is subjective if it cleans content with a good team, the fun is the only value you can get so what is people doing if they don´t get it enjoying the game.

The Wriothesley problem is that he won't EVER get his his gracious rebuke on a team with a strong healer like Bennett.
His C1 literally unlocks the character. It makes him able to work with Bennett, doubles the Gracious Rebuke dmg, and doubles the trigger rate.
You go from no gracious rebukes with Bennett to suddenly 5 gracious rebukes at double the damage (C0 is 2/3)
I'm suprised you've not include Qiqi, even she have use case of skyward clorinde, but its not enough to make her good of a character.
I think if Sigewhinne leaned more into “healer that decently buffs off-field skills” rather than “Helaer that can do damage” would’ve helped her more. I don’t it would make her top tier, but she would definitely be much more useful if she leaned into that skill buff a lot more since we have a decent handful of characters who’s niche is off field damaging skills.

I will defend Cyno, and I have used him since he was released. He's incredibly powerful, but a lot of people just don't realize it. He is a staple for my spiral abyss teams and I don't plan on changing it.

Dehya and Xinyan have been saved from the depths by characters that actually want interruption resistance of some sort and occasional pyro for slow vapes (Mualani) or to sustain burning with dendro (Kinich, Emilie)
Both still are kinda unacceptably bad but have a hypothetical use.
Previously I have used Xinyan as a poverty shielder on Hu tao teams. She gives pyro resonance, and her pyro application is awful against single target so it doesn't disrupt hu tao's vapes.
The most significant thing I ever did with Mika is the time I brought an Ayato hyperbloom team
I have a C6 dori, and I’m honestly really confused by her C6 effect. Getting 3 seconds of electro infusion and healing on her normal attacks feels so useless with her slow attack chain, especially if she gets hit and knocked back. Then you lose at least a second of that uptime, which is, you know… a third of it.

her healing goes away and her CD is already done, so heal uptime is always good
shes a good partner for Furina to keep Furinas minus hp stuff mitigated, partner her with some Anemo CC and another element to react to them , you would get a really comfy team
IE , Furina, Sucrose , Xiangling , Sigewinne
As much as I hate Dori's personality which revolves only on business, I found out she's actually viable in certain teams that requires a healer, battery some gaps that some characters who can't refill their bursts by just a couple of uses of their skill and a little electro application, especially with C2.
But I do agree, even in counteracting and maximizing her kit to the fullest extent possible, she's just bad in any way possible, could have been more useful if her kit wasn't so all over the place.

I have C6 Dori. At one time, I tried using her on the Overworld so that I have a Claymore character to mine ores. She is actually serviceable with the damage dealing, healing, etc. However, she is a chibi character. That means walking around with her is extremely slow. When I'm farming ores, it takes me longer getting around when using her as the ore breaker.
I wish Dori was just an electro DPS that can heal with her normals, like an electro Noelle. Her normal atk animations are great. Maybe if she was released post Natlan she'd be able to ride her genie with her e-skill.
I LOVE siggewine as a character, and pulled her the moment she released. I can't remember the last time I used her. only time I use her is when I need a healer on a team and kazuha is already on the team. I absolutely adore her design, but i don't use her at all. I don't regret her tho

Funny watching this video when I use both Siegwinne and Dori in abyss. One side is Navia, Ningguang, Dori and Yae Miko, the other is Noelle, Chiori, Furina and Siegwinne. Gonna need to make room for Xilonen next abyss though but this video is motivating me to not cut Dori and Siegwinne.
Once upon a time I pulled on Cyno's banner to get a copy of Dory, and got early Cyno instead.

Cyno is not bad; players are just not used to burst-focused DPSs because it's a rare archetype in Genshin. People do not have the patience to understand the character's kit, and in the end, it just becomes another meta punching bag

sigewene seemed like she should have been the furina of BOL, applying it to everyone, thats what i was hoping when i got arlechinos weapon. But now it just collects dust. its still crazy to me they only have 3 BOL characters, that mechanic could have been really cool.
I think Sigewinne might get a place in a Chasca team. Chasca, Furina, Ororon and Sigewinne seems pretty good to me and she fits perfectly that slot.
I would want to add some information to this video, because the topic is interesting:
Thoma - He is admittidly not the strongest character, but his kit very well work with NA characters as he is basicly the best shielder in the game if you can consistently proc his passive. (I don't mean he have the highest shied absorbation, but thet because he can refresh his shield he have basicly infinte interruption resistence and damage reduction even if the shield break) This is in practice make him very good in Wanderer and Clorinde teams as well. For Clorinde he is currently the best in slot option for Chevreuse teams. This latter will be further buffed after we get the changes for the tranformative reactions.
Siegwinne - It is not really about her, I think she is not great, but in th epart where you talked about her you mentioned thet being non-best in slot anywhere would make a character bad so I doN't really understand why are you said thet Albedo is better then Siegwinne. Chiori is runing circles around poor Albedo and practicly speaking Siegwinne have much more team where she is good. I think because of the latter Eula should be put down as well, she is still very bad. Honestly the two worst limited 5* is Eula and Albedo in the game just how little use they have.
Dori - Okey, so, she is a unit in Genshin impact... until C6. The problem with Dori is the same problem a lot of Sumeru 4* had, namely thet they are borderline useless without C6. Candace, Dori and Faruzan. But because of this Dori with C6 is an entirly different story. The thing is, beign an electro onfielder who can infuce itself and heal the whole team the same time is a pretty damn strong thing post Furina. She enables a team with Furina, Nahida and Fischl, and top on thet she can use Nahida buff unlike Kuki. And even outside of this she is pretty competen unit for aggravate or electro-charged as well. I hate admit it, but C6 Dori honestly a good character. Before C6 though, she only can be used as a Furina slave.
I would say that When it comes to bad first impressions, Yoimiya is the poster child of that.
She had quite some nasty bugs at release, she only had 3 good teammates (Zhongli, Fishl and Bennett) and the Abyss didn't focus on boss units.
She got better over time, but she didn't get the recognition that she deserved (despite being best girl) before Liney came and finished her off.

I managed to dodge Dori when getting Xilonen on this banner, while also getting a Candace and a Favonius Lance (more gear for my Mualanita team)
Now that I know all that about Dori, I will use her on my Alhaitham team instead of Kuki. I have them both. Even Kuki C1 vs Dori C0.^^

I personally love Mika more in Co op then single player, because you get so much energy and can consistently heal. But im also a mika defender till i die. I actually think Dori works better with Cyno than Shinobu--especially with the ER buff, since she helps him use his burst off cooldown. Of course she's equipped with a Favonius Greatsword, but this frees up my Shinobu for Alhaitham
I like Sigewinne, but I just can't find a good use for her in my teams. I used her with Navia to max out Furina’s ult, but Bennett, Xilonen, and Jean heal and buff damage better. It’s sad because she’s so cute, but other characters are just more efficient and feel better to use.

Mika’s attack speed buff isn’t entirely useless on Eula and he does have other buffs, especially with cons he can be quite good and he heals a lot so he can enable Furina, he’s not that great but he’s not atrocious, Dori is decent and imo the energy recharge is not the main part of her kit it’s just something extra that she can give, if her burst had a lower cost she would be way better, Eula and Klee are pretty solid, nowhere near as bad as sigewinne, and Wrio isn’t unusable at c0, people exaggerate it a lot but ge does feel way better with c1

Also Cyno issues is still the same when he release, he's terrible in multi-wave/Aoe content. Nahida/Baizhu doesn't help with any of that, only with ST and bosses mainly.
And now Clorinde just out dps Cyno in a HB team by virtue of not needing a healer with Furina so she can run Fischl instead of Baizhu for more damage overall.

Id say she a good dps with some minor pushovers within the Kit such as burst Efficiency and the survivability dilemma.
Usually what pushed Yoimiya as a whole character is Hu Tao Existence. Since yes, practically Hu Tao takes care of Multi-wave, survival/endurance, and boss fights more effectively without minor pushbacks. Before newer pyro dps were involved, Yoimiya exceeded in 1/2 thing and that’s Versatility and Single Target but everything else is Yoimiya’s Kryptonite, leading to get unneeded since other Pyro dps can clear more effectively without a stress.
She's not a BAD character, she's your usual run of the mill dps dude, nothing wrong with her, or any synergy issues, she's just overshadowed, doesn't mean she's bad

I punch it down with Dehya while Nahida applies off-field damage, with 2 electros (this is pre-Emilie... now bird would be dead so fast with Emilie in the mix) cheering them on.
She's one of the characters I wish they'd give a little buff to, to be honest. Give her what Itto has, the ability to dash without breaking her attack chain. Just that nice little QoL change...

Im gonna be honest, Deyha is great on my account.
Im a Lyney and a Neuvillete main. Deyha lets me play my Lyney in burning, overload, and vape because of her interruption resistance. Shes only level 70 but her value on those teams is high because she gives Lyney a stack for both his passive and his weapon.
As for Neuvillete, shes great considering I don't have his c1. She doesn't apply that much pyro, but shes still useful if I want to run vape or free up my Zhongli for another team
Her only problem for me is her uptime, but shes decent with sacrificial. Her lack of damage is made up for due to how strong the DPS characters I run her with are

I remember getting Dori, tried to make a set for her... then i tried using her. 2 minutes later I was asking what was she contributing? From that moment i put her away and never used her for anything ever again. That was the fastest i ever recognized a character was trash beyond saving. Low application, usless burst healing and damage, insanely demanding stat requirements for practically no benefit.
Not only does Dori rip people of in lore, her character rips you off for investing any effort into her kit just to accomplish nothing.
even though i have 74 characters all level 90 with talents 6+ i cannot even think of a proper role dori could fill. Theres just no scenario where Doris supposed abilities come into play, i still dont know what she was eant for (i mean i know what they say she does but that doesnt translate to 'this characters role is xxxxx')

I build my dori, she's quite a good healer especially pair with alhaitam. I'm using sacrificial claymore and she can ult every cycle.

I kinda agreed with the cyno, he's powerful but there's one thing that you forgot. There's alhaitam who's has the same archetype with more f2p friendly team. Where's alhaitham hyperbloom dmg is better cause the hyperbloom applicator can build full em, cyno doesn't. He can't really have up to 1000 em like kuki shinobu did, and he's Bound to her burst that makes him really difficult to play if you don't have enough stat.
Another problem than cyno has is when you switch into cyno, you can't really switch to anyone else

Dori certainly the meta for the said reason but she's not an energy recharge character, Mihoyo try to spec her as a hybrid healer / battery and it just do not work out in single player mode , that said though , when she's put into co-op team , that's a totally different story , her burst can heal and charge the whole team together and is actually quite strong in that regard
my take is she's not a primary support but a secondary support better used in specialized team as many of the specialized play characters are , just that her part is very particular , and certainly not meta , Overload team comes to mind
Surprised to not see Xinyan here. Even though the release of Mualani made her made her a lot more useful, she's definitely not even the third choice for Mualani teams. But the thing is, her kit is a complete mess: her ult scales on physical dmg (and pyro dmg? What?), her shield scales on def and has to hit multiple enemies to be fully effective and even then it barely resists two hits. Oh, and for some reason her ascension is... Atk%...? Why? For me personally, Xinyan is the embodiment of bad character design: everything in her kit contradicts itself. Which is a shame, I really like her as a character.
Ps: I guess at least if you want to make her a burst dps, you don't need to worry about crit rate, since her c2 makes her ult always crit.

With natlan yes, she is good on Mulani and Kinich teams since they need off field Pyro applicators and kinich wants interruption resistance
She's not amazing, but she has a role now unlike before, and those are meta team roles
she got good use cases in mualani and kinich teams as they both want off field pyro app and they appreciate the ir resistance

I have a doubt since long ago... One of my friends ranted about Dehya on release saying she was the worst character (Dehya have some uses cases as we know), and Dori at c6 isnt that bad, Sagewine is hydro so she has uses as well. Why the videos and discussions about bad characters arent mentioning Qiqi litely?? I just cant find a use for her, really bad cryo application, nice healing but yeah others do the job better for Furina and...thats it? I need an explanation cause maybe Im missing something and she have lots of uses and I just dont know? Thanks! (Nice video btw)
Cyno felt best to me when used with a C2 Baizhu, Furina, Nahida.
It is quite expensive to build this team compared to Al-Haitham/Keqing/Yae/Clorinde. Furthermore he requires much more care in the sub stats unlike the rest of the alternatives.
Also Gilded Dreams is a dog shit artifact set with its uptime and Cyno's burst long time.
Thundering Fury becomes the best options for better energy economy and smoother execution of his combos. Feels bad man its alot of dmg lost.
Clorinde is in a better state than Cyno and she gets free crit rate too. problem with her is the awkward downtime between her skill uses that needs filling and how bad it feels to owe Fischl your lunch money and almost half of your team's dps. Again she will feel smoother to play with Thundering Fury but unlike dogshit Gilded Dreams, Harmonic Whimsy is so good on Clorinde and would feel awful to replace.
In the end I think the best thing about both Clorinde and Cyno were their broken 5 star weapons giving alot of raw states.
I feel kinda bad that maybe the design space for electro dps roles is just gated by Thundering Fury's potential and Raiden/Fischl generalist approaches.
Im not good with the meta, so I might be wrong with this, but I do enjoy using Mika with Wriothesley. I mainly use him for healing when I want to make some freeze teams with Furina
Tbh, idc about creating good teams, i just play. On my alt where i have dehya, i use her, raiden, c2 diona and c3 kaveh.
i feel like sigewinne is really good for healing in burning teams, now i can't confirm that bc i don't have emilie nor kinich but i say this bc say you have your dps on first half and you will need bennett well you can use sigewinne in your second half with your burning team with emilie and kinich. idk though, you guys can prove me wrong just an idea 😭
i do wanna clarify that i KNOW sigewinne is not a good character but i love her and i pulled for her lore and design, i literally cried when i pulled her and i am planning on double crowning and getting c2 (maybe weapon) somewhere down the line

I like Dori as a character, i do not use her though, maybe i need to build her just for fun in co-op, bc why not? I sometimes use characters like Lisa or Rosaria in co-op domains bc i get tired of using same characters again and again. Sometimes you just want to play smth bad but fun, you know... 😂
