They really putting us between a rock and a hard place, by putting a neuvi rerun RIGHT BEFORE Mavuika comes out. It sucks since I don't have neuvi and was considering getting him, but I have no problem clearing spiral abyss
@@r12j78 It is true, but it's only a buff to the reaction damage, no utility buff. They did the same with all the other transformative reactions (shatter, electro-charged, overload, might be missing one). It's nice for elemental teams, but man it barely did anything to physical teams.
Something you didn’t touch on is how a lot of the enemies they like to put in the abyss have long invincibile periods. You brought up maguu kenki, which has a ~10 second wind-up timer plus that one attack where it doesn’t take any damage until it finishes. Which when you need to complete the chamber within 3 minutes, those precious seconds add up. Not to mention the ruin serpent and wenut which LOVE to bury themselves for decades at a time. Doesn’t matter how strong your characters are, that is a time tax you must pay.
It doesn't matter, though, when they factor in that time in the overall difficulty. Those abyss's tend to have lower hp totals, because we have less time to deal damage.
Idk, i don't think low dps windows are the problem for those bosses. Wenut Just has restrictive mechanics that limit the teams that can clear It, mostly the elem resist part. For the teams that can clear It, it's no that hard imo. Serpent Is just an rng fiesta, It can be hard or not and that does not really depend from the player. Kenki, on the other hand, Is the best designed enemy in the game imo. You overcome It with positioning and timing, not with huge dps or character check.
@@Axterix13 but they still get inflated hp stats tho, and there is nothing telling us that they won't inflate their hp further, just tell me you use neuvillette that's why you don't think there is a problem with it since he does damage at a very long range so you don't care that the enemies are flying out of reach of like 90% of the characters in the game
I do my buddies abyss to, who is significantly less invested into good characters as I am and their alhaitham quick bloom with no geo characters built took fucking 2 minutes 10 seconds to brute force, luckily neuv exists to 30 seconds part 1
2nd half of current abyss really wants geo that can apply a lot of it to break shields, or you can use overload but that reaction need Chevreuse to not be shit
I actually had to do 2 rotations for the horse I literally had C6R1 neuv C0R1 xilonen C6R1 kazuha C0R1 furina If a team like that needs 2 rotations how TF are normal people supposed to beat it
I couldn’t tell you man, only thing I can add is xilonens geo app sucks and I got a 2 rotation on my account with c2r1 arle c0 zhongli with hold e2x and burst then c0 yelan c6 bennett
Last Abyss was so fun. Enemy placements were fair and not all over the place and you could do it with so many teams. I cleared it a couple of times just for fun and to try out different builds. I had no idea that this one has 3x the HP and I went crazy tryinf to clear it
You can still clear with multiple teams tho. Its not hard if you have a lot of characters/weapons/artifacts. But i can see how new players would feel its hard. But new players should be getting the good characters.
I actually killed that fcking Golem Horse with Overload Clorinde, which also was enough to break its shield. So I think one must not necessary bring geo
With the HP buff, I shudder to think of an Abyss like the 3.7 version which had double the Consecrated Beasts and the Abyss Heralds that would freeze you while dancing all over the arena. That one still takes the cake for the most frustrating to me, even if the current ones are objectively harder.
Same here. HP bloat is just whatever for me. Quadruple consecrated beasts one shooting you, and Heralds freezing you while screwing over your stamina AND your cooldowns. Holy crap, that was absolute cancer.
@@xdragon2k You cant expect to join and 36 star. If you play a lot and get good characters it will still t ake a few months for a new player to 36 star. And if you dont play a lot and dont even try to learn the game (what most ppl do i think) you wil really have a hard time. Every single veteran spent their first few months building their first teams and geting beat up by the abyss.
@@Tnscla In the challenges people do they always focus on the OP strats like Hyperbloom, I don't think I've seen a challenge run where they build non meta teams to clear.
this is bcoz most player who 36 abyss will always say how easy the abyss , they just wont shut up and take the freemogems in it. they just had to brag how its very easy for them
And a lot of this players complained when devs took away their hyperinvested characters and done a pure skill check with default teams in one of the previous events. It was around 4.2-4.5 iirc
@@inersdraco That "skill check" event was the same as Abyss with timer and lvl 100 enemies on hard mode, but you get characters that dont have 4pc artifacts and are also lvl 80 with low lvl talents. You also got RNG team building and energy just like in IT
It's just 5 wishes a month, the game being fun is WAY more important in the long run; but higher HP on everything isn't really the answer. They should make an endless mode with random enemy line ups and progressive debuffs
As a person with extreme skill issue, I do appreciate having the CHOICE to be able to use a great shielder or healer in the abyss. Those wanting a more challenging experience need only to NOT bring the sheilder/healer. But yeah, they are coming up with some crazy stuff in the abyss... I vow to 36 star at least ONCE before I die! 😅
@@voicey5831 The grind is basically doing 4 runs of an artifact domain for worthless, junk. Then having to repeat the process for what could be weeks or even months, just for ONE good artifact.
@@voicey5831 Trash take. Are you even aware of the fact that one artifact, one SINGLE good artifact can take from 20 resin to infinite? Because there is no system pity here, it's 100% rng. "but ma artifact transmuter" Dude, shut up. You can only do it ONCE PER PATCH. ONE artifact, PER PATCH. By the time Snezhnaya comes out you'll get 2 characters built out of the 90+. And on top of that, you need 4 elixirs for a goblet, 4. And they are locked behind pay battlepass once you use all the free ones. And to make it all worse, you can craft your "pyro crit dmg crit rate" goblet, and STILL get all trash rolls into flat hp and flat def. @StephonZeno Correct, in fact it's not months, theoretically it can take years. I'd know, because been playing this trash game for 4 years and I still haven't gotten a SINGLE double crit hydro goblet.
Damn, so they really were just extra beefy this cycle 😂 I was wondering why the stupid plunge robot and the horse were giving me so much trouble this time, I thought I was just doing bad rotations cuz I was still getting used to Xilonen
Yea, hate that spiral abyss is just " deal 5 million damage " in 2 minutes is hoyos idea of difficulty. Why not do something different like a test of survivability or something like ZZZ disputed node
Because as much as people complement themselves on beating the Abyss and call it easy The moment a hard event or a different type of Abyss comes out there's a cry out Sort of like certain players really only rely on there Artifacts and can't handle actual challenge
@@thatalbeeguy but that would be bad design tho... survival check is much more than being able to tank, you must dodge, maybe parry, learn the enemy patterns etc.
I just hate how the Abyss will literally make it so some team comps like Freeze are unusable. Like Ayaka is one of my favorite characters and one of my most invested, and it sucks not being able to use her to her full potential because Abyss caters to single target and bosses!
Hopefully they fix this in a future but looking to the state of cryo right now... I'm starting to lose hope, i mean they """fixed""" a neuvilette bug like 4 or 5 months after release and i think Mona C1 freeze buff is STILL BUGGED TILL THIS DAY (please someone tell me that i'm wrong about mona C1 because i really can't tell the difference)
It's the norm for gatcha game to have the hardest content revolve around meta limited unit so the game can make more money. But after they created those lectors , the game suddenly became less fun because i have to choose between pulling for limited characters who can ignore those mechanics or using alternative options that make things 3x harder, not to mention the increasing of enemies hp . I find myself have more fun fighting those elemental beasts that can one shot my onfield character than those elemental shield monsters.
The beasts are simple, you beat the shit out of them, they beat the shit out of you. The lectors just absorb your every hit and you have to use the right elements or the fight takes forever
Definitely felt it this patch. I'm babysitting a couple of my Friends' accounts, one who is a whale and one who is F2P, and it was simple enough on the whale account, but 12 is miserable on the F2P because the first floor alone is bullshit. The bird and scorpion have a billion health a piece, but even worse, the samurai has multiple periods where you just can't even hurt him. F2P account also has like no decent Geo characters, so those waves are a bust.
@@jiffonbuffo I hadn't, but I've seen the comments as well, so might try it next time I do the F2P's dailies. Even just getting to the point where I need Geo is a pain in the ass and I use their best Pyro, Arlecchino, for Wave 1 to begin with. Been working on a Chevreuse team anyway, but now I have to find a replacement for her T~T
@@Renteka-Bond You can run Arl for chamber one, then swap to other teams for the other two chambers. Worth noting overload isn't the only non-geo answer. Claymores rock as well. But, well, like geo, people are too busy chasing the meta characters and ignore the claymore ones.
So I did end up Trying these 2 teams and got to 6 stars: Team 1: Yelan / Mona / Dehya / Kinich Team 2: Arlecchino / Chevy / Bidou / Fischl The first team was shoddily put together (Yelan *kinda* works with Kinich, but it was more for the raw damage and Mona was there for the Damage Amp). Definitely the weak Link of the 2 teams, though I could optimize my rotations better as a whole. Team 2: My friend only had Fischle and Arle built, so I had to hastily throw together something for Chevy and Bidou, which took like 10 COndensed Resin to make a half decent build. It's doable, but it'll take some finagling. Will probably just Swap Mona for Benny and Might even throw in Xiangling to boot.
Yup, i felt that too soul. Res reduction and elemental restrictions, with HP increased feels nuts. Maybe they could move towards multi-stage domains, such as the adventure rank test or the new character trials. Using movement and specific criteria to complete. Honestly, they probably wont be doing anything, but my cope thinking helps keep me be happy lmao
10:15 you can use any Claymore character, any non-Catalyst/Bow plunge DPS (Xiao, Gaming or anyone using Xianyun) or any team that has Electro + Pyro (for Overloaded). The shield isn't weak to Geo, it's weak to Blunt damage. There are also random characters that don't fit any of these criteria and still have blunt attacks in their kit (Candace, Wriothesley, Cyno, Yoimiya, Lyney, Yanfei etc.)
Spirals always been that way. Floors 9, 10, and 11 are great and balanced, but 12 is a dps/character/weapon check, and is largely impossible to beat because the enemies health is way to much
@@byzdi Ill just paste my comment here: I see a lot of youtubers clickbaiting the "4* only" Abyss runs BUT they have accounts that only wish for 4* chars and weapons, refresh resin to farm for them and EVERY SINGLE 4* is C6. Yea Fischl, XL, Benny, Chevy at C6 with Sapwood blade, Stringless and Catch at R5 can demolish the geo side but that team is FAR more expensive than an all 5* team. Also I have seen some hyperbloom teams that have XQ, Yao Yao and DMC that are cracked and deal like 30% of the teams dmg but they also require consts, Godly artifact rolls and favorable enemy RNG
@@borkozdravkovic4746 Wtf do you mean 'accounts that only wish for 4* chars and weapons'? Nobody does that, you get 4* simply by wishing on event banners and sooner or later the 4* you need will show up as well (on top of getting cons from standard and events like Lantern Rite). If you've been playing for a long time, you already have all the most important constellations. Sapwood and The Catch are f2p weapons btw. You can easily clear the Abyss using mediocre artifacts with about 30 crit value, you don't need 'godly artifact rolls'. Nor constellations. Like I don't get your point at all? Abyss is an end-game content, you SHOULDN'T be able to beat it with a new account and weak characters/teams but even then you can still 36* it with a bunch of 4* characters with only a few months of investment.
an average Noelle with Xilonen, Yelan, and Furina can actually very comfortably clear the last chamber. The only chamber I had difficulty with was the first one for some reason
I feel like half the abyss's problems would be gone if they just removed the stupid timer and have you get primogems for just clearing the Chambers, and then have you get some extra rewards for doing certain things like imaginum theather does it
Overload was really good for the second half. I cleared it easily with Raiden, Chevreuse, Bennet, and Xiangling. For the first half I just used hyperbloom.
This abyss is horseshit. Last 2 cycles I was able to get 36* no problem and now I'm bashing my head against the 1st floor because the enemies have so much fucking HP that even my Arlecchino doesn't cut it. We are slowly but surely moving towards not being able to get 36* unless you have signature weapons and constellations. Really nice, mihoyo!
Last time, I easily cleared Abyss with much time still left. This time, I had to reset several times and BARELY made it in time. And I use meta teams (Alhaitham HB w/ Raiden, and Neuvilette premium w/ Zhongli) [F2P, but long-time player].
I also cant clear the first floor, the other 2 are really easy if u have navia or and overload carry. But the first floor is just bad, first half wants you to not bring electro or pyro. Second half has 2 geo recistance enemies and 2 who want almost need geo to take them down.
@@x3m9x My Arlecchino is fairly well built as I have cleared the Abyss with her before, but I don't have her sig weapon or constellations so that's why there are still situations where she may struggle. I think she is just not ideal on the second chamber because of the geo shields.
For the people that disagree with his statement i have been farming emblem of severed fate for 6 months i have not gotten raiden peices with double crit on them yet! But i pulled kinich and i have 4 artifacts for him that i farmed in 10 -15 days and they all have 24-30 CV on them!!! So yes my kinich does 138k canons while my raiden with cheveruse c6 does 120k .i did the math my 2 weeks old kinich does 2x damage as my raidon
Alright so in my opinion, the offensive and defensive side of genshin has been scuffed since the beginning and it mostly just has to do with what I just call Hard Swap Tower teams. First of all, they screwed healing and shield numbers, they were far too high to start with which means there’s never really a distinction of when you’re in danger vs full power and danger is being 100/0’d because you can always recover from being hit with reasonable healing and shielding WHILE making mistakes. Diona is a 1.1 unit that had an easy to upkeep 100% uptime shield with a heal ult alongside Zhongli so it’s not even Zhongli’s fault for the lack of defensive development throughout the game. It’s just a problem that the game has had since it was born. Star rail has the exact same issue at launch, specifically with healing, but it doesn’t have the next issue. Second of all and more importantly, the enemy can’t actually deal damage or even affect more than one unit at once (apart from like wolf bleed but nobody cares about that.) So on top of the completely screwed defensive numbers the game itself is unable to deal with more than ONE of the player’s units and it can’t deal with that one player’s onfield unit with a shield or healing. There’s no inherent risk in hard tower swapping because shields and healing will generally follow or stay up regardless of how much you do it and modern unit design gives as much freedom to do whatever you want as possible compared to Klee over here where her ult just turns off if you overcommitted and have to swap or the old basic attack healers that demanded field time to do completely pointless healing and was made for co-op. They also abandoned cleanse self of elements using elements as a mechanic immediately so that’s fun. Not like enemies were reacting you consistently nor did most of those reactions on you have specific and interesting effects other than damage for most of the game’s enemies and lifespan. Therefore the game hasn’t been able to properly test the player defensively since the start and creating mechanical difficulty in this direction just ends up 100/0ing you as your source of danger. The entire defensive layer of the game was dead on start. Offensively, the hard swap towers system created an opposite problem, the player can’t get value from their whole team if they don’t have lasting effects the moment they leave the field. The overall playerbase latched on to each and every unit that could even semi-consistently gain as much value as possible ignoring the hard swap system and using one unit that gains everything you just did and making something I personally hate, rotations. There’s no room for option select between your team to commit to doing something specific, to setup a buff or reaction, to deal damage, to heal, or anything else that a rpg could make you commit to. Many many many many characters can be summarized as swap in > skill > (ult) > pass buff. Basic attacks are worthless on 80%+ of the cast and that’s one of the 3 buttons each character gets. Every best support/sub-dps in the game does something on the field for less than 4 seconds with high uptime, low commitment skills, and occasionally non-existent cooldown. The hidden dps increases of this design decision not even including the numbers of the buffs themselves is why off-field design sucks. How do you approach a character like Kazuha who has less than 10 second cooldowns with a relatively evasive and fast skill to apply every single buff he possibly can. How could you possibly make an off-field that has to commit on-field just to do basic buffs when you can have 3 characters doing what Kazuha essentially does at once all the time and the only thing the player has to learn is how to set them up. How could you possibly make any other role commit like this other than the unit receiving all the buffs. The answer is that my fancy combat design opinions don’t matter and the game is ruled by the extremely flowcharty linear rotations because what else are you doing? Paying attention to what your health bar is doing? There is an argument that you wouldn’t be able to get the combat that people like that’s super approachable and doesn’t require skill based gameplay without the game we have today, but it’s mostly forfeit trying to make the endgame skill based once you accept this statement. I like ZZZ combat a lot, the natural experimentation that creates the techs you can pull off that come with substantial execution in a game almost void of linear rotations changing your clear times is fun even if the current difficulty to clear isn’t very high right now. Alongside advanced plays having mechanics such as soft swapping where characters will stay on field until their animation finishes meaning they become vulnerable when you swap, or the fact you have to understand and then execute timing on each and every unit depending on the enemy because the game doesn’t let you be immortal unless you make mistakes instead of being immortal in spite of mistakes. ZZZ has made proper content that doesn’t need a timer and it’s because you can’t be immortal. That game style obviously isn’t reflected highly in a casual/unga-bunga player style and that’s fine. Idk why the genshin devs want to make the spiral abyss endgame this way other than to spite the min/maxxers who complain about the game being too easy all the time. The game couldn’t have ever built in that direction with how the game has been playing since launch.
The game could really benefit from counter moves, at least this way you could deal with one shot attacks and there would be a reason to learn enemy attacks.
@@Otherface It's okay. New comers can have fun while being casual. Nothing to stress out floor 12 9 stars. Mihoyo does tune down abyss HP pool once in awhile.
@@nhozdien5058 "Mihoyo does tune down abyss hp pool once in a while" Not once have they ever done that, if anything they have steadily increased it over time, and this current abyss was just over the top. 7 million hp for ONE enemy? That has 80% res to everything on top of that? Also to OP, rip. How fun and awesome is this game with just the starting characters, no? (Sarcasm levels over 90001).
I had trouble with this abyss. I have freaking C6 R1 Yelan and Nilou and many C2+ 5 stars and i needed to run very specific teams just to stand a chance.
THANK YOU! I feel validated. I got so mad the last Spiral Abyss because of the design changes to the enemies... The HP is annoying enough but changing it so that the fatui were immune to damage until their shields were broken was stupid... They already have enemies in the game that have that feature just use those enemies! Don't change a boss or enemy design without saying something! There were other annoying changes in the enemy designs that weren't explicitly stated beforehand (so it took me a couple tries to figure out their new mechanics) but they're in my repressed memories. I raged. I've been raging for ages that it's all artifact RNG luck and if you have the characters they want you to use not actually a matter of skill but no one has believed me. And yet the loudest members of the Genshin community are still whining about it not being hard enough... This game is basically a hack and slash with more mechanics it isn't a souls game or another type of combat game that involves skilled gameplay. The gameplay for Genshin isn't designed for difficulty. There's no way for them to make it "difficult" without just slapping a bunch of HP on shit and doing it again and again and again. And if you don't have the characters built it wants you to use you're just fucked because there's now way in hell you (or atleast I) will get lucky enough with artifacts to make it happen in 2 weeks assuming you already have said character
In other news, congrats for hitting the/my algorithm because I’m seeing all your videos pop up. I like your content, so I’d say this is a win-win. For me, I’d say the most painful abyss enemies are when it’s multi-wave and when there’s a (or more) lector(s) in those waves. Breaking the shield via the needed reaction is a time consuming pain in the ass.
Guys, you can do Overload teams against the Geo Shielded enemies since Overload breaks it too, if you have Shogun National it will be enough to break it (If you have Chevreuse it's even better)
I’ve been watching your videos for like the past week and literally never noticed how new this channel is! I’m obsessed I can’t stop watching your vids
Right on spot with your comment about me being invested 😭 but like I'm so lonely none of my friends wanna talk to me about stuff like this so im happy that i can find RUclipsrs that do
the only problem for me was the second and third floor second phase bosses keeps spamming their stupid geo shield over and over again not letting me even finish my rotation and i have to wait 24 seconds zhongli cooldown even tho his e skill shreds geo shields to pieces
i think you got something wrong soul, the geo horsey having 7m is calculation factoring in his 90% res, in reality he has 3327601hp wich while being the highest hp pool ever on an abyss enemy is obviously much less, while his shield is down he has -70%res wich means without further res shred since the res multiplier for negative res is halved you'd need to deal an equivalent of 2.16m dmg against a 0 res enemy, but that's still a lot given the length of that window
noelle actually slaps this abyss with the 60% def increase and xilonen. mine was hitting for 70k+ with serpent spine and her shield explosion was hitting for around 160k.
Loved the information in this video. Was unaware of a lot of it and was fascinated, so Thanks for that. I'd only say that Noelle is definitely strong enough to be the main Geo carry - she's just comp dependant like Xiao
These complaints have existed for years, and honestly i never realised just how bad it is until we had something to compare it to with local legends. The local legends are probably THE hardest content in the game and can take a long ass time to defeat, but theres no time limit so the real issue (at least for me) has been survivability. They oneshot my Zhonglis shield, and i have to reconsider my usual patterns as i cant just brainlessly attack anymore. Its harder, but it also makes it more satisfying to fight imo. The abyss just pisses me off with its multi-wave content that requires annoyingly specific elements, enemies that knock you around constantly (aka the consecrated beasts) and insane enemy inflation. Only reason i was able to beat this round is because ive played for so long i have a lot of dps characters, and several of the best supports in the game.
You know, I just realized how silly it is that we don’t have these local legends as legitimate endgame content. The night kingdom battles and the cocijo fight show the potential for creativity that these fights can have, all without a timer! It’s baffling that hoyo is so unwilling to alter their formula for endgame content
Btw, one thing you said in the video about "bringing right characters" really hit the sore spot on me. This game restricts you in so many ways, many people don't even realize. All because devs have one vision in mind and don't consider other options, which leads to some players also playing strictly by the rules. And it's fine, there's nothing wrong with it until the moment these people clash with someone who playes slightly differently. And i'm not talking about builds rn or team combinations but overall person thinks out of the box and somehow it's bad in their eyes. Let me tell you an example. Literally yesterday i found a video where person shows what characters can or cannot climb or reach cores on the new boss' mechanic. The new boss drops those stones and you need to use "elevation" characters to reach it (bc no you can't use archers to shoot it) - the most easier way - to use Natlan characters like Xilonen or Kachina. And one person in the comment section said that as an alternative you can actually use saurian there (because why the hell not?). And some people came and said that "well, actually, why would you bother with saurian when you have characters - use them", and it lead to an argument where apparently if you do challenges, or was unlucky to get specific characters, or don't want to raise/use specific characters, or haven't finished the archon story quest yet (god knows how it's related) - you're an idiot, wasting your time and basically playing the different game. Which i still fail to understand how it's wrong in any way. In the end, those people demanded that such ridiculous ideas as using saurians in a boss fight instead of a lvl20 characters (bc you haven't build your Xilonen or Kachina yet, assuming you have them ofc bc how dare you not to do an archon quest yet) should not be given as advice for the players who are "normal" (even though initial comment wasn't an advice but a statement of an option). Anyway after that i started thinking about linearity of this game. How devs fix different glitches or smth that wasn't harmful in the first place (like ability to drown enemies, yeah, you can't do that anymore, unless you use ice-bridging, so if you're stuck in a quest with a character who is not cryo and you want to drown enemies - you can't do that, sadly), and how there're many quests and events where you're forcefully stripped off your party and must use characters they give you. Bc ofc they need to promote and sell them. Sometimes it's understandable, story wise, but sometimes it makes no sense bc main character is still present there. Plus all the invisible walls around or areas you must not leave or quest will reset, etc, i dunno.... When you start to think it that way you clearly see that there's no actual freedom in this game. You must follow a certain pattern and you basically play on rails sometimes. You can bypass some things, but not because the game gave you an option to do so or it was intentionally designed that way, but bc it just happened so. It's a loophole you can legally abuse. Just like with depleting that boss' shield in abyss with overload reaction e.g. I'm not saying that playing normally is bad or anything but not playing normally is also not a bad thing. Anyone have a right to play however they want. It's just the moment you notice the linearity in an open world game, you kinda can't unsee it anymore. And it was always there. Some people notice and don't care. Some notice and do care, and some don't notice at all. Like i said, i don't care how person plays the game as long as no one judges anyone for their ways. If you enjoy playing the game how it's intended - just continue to play that way. If you think how to do this or that in the game with different tools and rules the game gives you - sure, do your best as well. As long as you have fun. And yeah, sometimes the small argument about using saurians instead of characters or not can lead to a full analysis of the game structure. Ahaha, sorry for the wall of text 😅
Very very good points. Look at exploration in the 'open world' too. Saurians are very much designed to be just used in narrow prepared scenarios. So they are slow, etc. They are not designed to be taken and to experiment with them in various places. Sometimes game literally just plays for you, as it was also in the event, you reach some point with Saurian and game starts playing on it's own, LOL. Look at mechanics they started to add in Fontaine - they are taking you from place to place, from puzzle to puzzle... Exploration in Genshin DEvolved. It's not that much an open world experience, but just adding stuff to the open world. Well, in general this game devolved, in gameplay we are getting stuff which works simpler than things from day 1. Like - Chevy - working simpler than VV. It's either simplifying things or adding random BS which doesn't add real complexity / developing the game's system and gameplay. They will keep switching what is neglected / buffed, so people will discuss so much which element or character is strong now... that's nonsense, it's only marketing. Only serious expansion of the game was dendro and even that was a horrendous mess, hyperbloom and all. Genshin had fascinating potential and that's it. Devs ruined it and Genshin is a trash game, people should face the reality and try more games to see how different and better games can be.
@@MarionFR yeah, i do agree. Also about simplifying everything - my friend has a friend, and she considers herself a gamer (bc she gets offended when people say that there're no true female gamers, but that's a different topic for discussion), but she refuses to read explanations. One thing i can understand, is that Hoyo's approach for tutorials is horrendous, but still.... Guides do exist and everything, but she's against those either bc "i don't like when people tell me how to play", but at the same time she doesn't read any tutorials or what characters do. And people like her are the first ones to whine that the game is difficult, and Hoyo listens to them, bc they're loud enough and as a result simplifies things in the game, so you don't particularly need to read what character can do to understand how they work. At least on a surface lvl. Bc yes, there're people that don't know that Xilonen can heal (even though they got her), don't know that Neuvellette plays through charged atk and Furina have two stances. The problem of "reading is for nerds" is massive in this game. And those are people who criticize players that skip story. What a joke. As for explanation - it's the same basically. I must say i didn't enjoyed Sumeru region in terms of exploration only bc it has too much backtracking. Returning to 1 place twice is acceptable, but not 4-5 times, that's overkill tbh. But at the same time, Fontaine was kinda boring in the long run. I guess there's no middle ground. Natlan is a bit fun to explore thanx to saurians (i don't have characters for traversing in that region, just got Xilonen and i didn't do archon quest yet, yeah, even the first part), but honestly i'm not excited for new regions anymore. Nor do i explore much (just when i'm in the mood), the game became stale for me long time ago and i continue to play it only for collecting characters and doing fun challenges.
This Abyss was crazy. The first time I tried it I cleared the last two floors effortlessly, but the first chamber was a pain in the ass. One of my most invested units, Fischl was doing like no damage at all and it felt like this Abyss had extra waves just because. The beasts wouldn't reveal their gem even though they were like 30% hp and with Zhongli and Navia in the second half destroying every geo shield in a second I was still lacking damage. Like wtf In the end I used Xingqui, Yelan Arlechino and Xilonen in the first half, and Rosaria, Xiangling, Navia and Zhongli in the second (mind that every 5* is C0 and Navia, Arle and Xilonen have their signatures) and still managed to clear it at 7:00 time, bearly making it. Even though I had a tailor made team for the second half I BEARLY MANAGED TO MAKE IT. Sorry but if this continues Sumeru characters wont be useable in like 2 months (maybe Nilou will). I tried many teams in the first half, like Wanderer, hyperblom (I don't have Alhaitham), freeze, whatever but nothing worked. This Abyss is a pay to win pokemon gym battle
I have mixed feelings about the statement "The Abyss is 5% skill and 95% characters with their stats". From one side, yes, the older account has more possibilities by default, and you don`t even need to use any skill, just damage is enough. On the other, many people clear the Abyss with 4* characters and weapons till this day, which totally depends on skill. I enjoy videos like "36* the Abyss on cursed account" (=weak account), where the result totally depends on skill, understanding how to group enemies, rotation timings, enemy techniques, and so on. So you need whether skill or damage, and can often compensate one another.
The Luck portion isn't just in reference to the characters, but the artifacts as well, as no amount of rotations will beat the fact that you need high stats and the only way to get high stats is pure RNG: Farm Artefact Get right slot piece Get Right header stat Get right substats Get right substat rolls That's 5 layers of RNG just on 1 piece for 1 character, even once you get past all the farming to get a character to 90 and level their talents and weapons, which also has layers of RNG and uses the same resources as farming for Artefacts.
And then you see the artifacts and constellations of the 4 star character showcases and then its basically the same thing. For reference, some 4 star characters at C6 has the scalings and power level of 5 stars at C2 and some would even argue that at specific scenarios its even bigger. This is why you see the same 4 star characters on these showcases plastered with 30-50 CV artifacts. Its an investment check and not a skill check because dodging doesn’t reward you anything because you’re missing out on so much damage. This is why Zhongli and Neuvillete is very popular. There’s no skill in playing them, but there’s an insane amount of damage and consistency they provide.
I see a lot of youtubers clickbaiting the "4* only" Abyss runs BUT they have accounts that only wish for 4* chars and weapons, refresh resin to farm for them and EVERY SINGLE 4* is C6.
At least the first half is freezable. My theory is that we will have abysses like that from now on pretty frequently, because Hoyoverse needs to sell cryo again in the near future. If they can't make enemies ignore freeze completley they will increase the HP of the enemies. Yeah, you can freeze now, but the enemies are tankier. I may be proven wrong, but I dusted out my Ayaka this patch and it felt great to play her again.
Unpopular opinion but i would rather fight an hp sponge that can oneshot u than an abyss that is elemental restricted like geo second half and that one boss that changes elements every few seconds
I'd go even further. I'd rather fight an abyss where enemies have 300% their regular hp instead of fighting enemies with rng movesets and attributes that actively brick certain team comps.
As someone who literally only plays for the characters I like and not to clear spiral abyss, I sometimes attempt floor 12 with my very VERY strange teams and even though the enemies had a lot of hp I was able to clear floor 12 last cycle, granted not 9 stars, but I never expect the 9 star clear. When it reset I thought it would be fairly similar and was honestly excited some of my favorite characters could do decently well, tried to do the first floor, and consequently gave up purely because those consecrated beasts were dying way too slow and I realized it wasn’t worth the suffering.
oh my god I thought I was going insane. I already have enough trouble clearing spiral abyss and I thought I was going mad with this most recent rotation, I feel so heard, I always get 'lmao skill issue' when I complain about spiral abyss and it's so goddamn nice to hear that it's not *just* a me issue
I have to say, to this Abyss cycle, I have been able to clear 36 stars consistently, but this Abyss, I‘m missing one star, that is in Floor 12 1, the thing that is messing me up is part 2, because it basically forces you to have Xilonen (or another good geo character) to kill the golems, maybe I‘m doing something wrong tho!
You need to be smart with overload team on 12-1 since vishaps are bouncing like paper from reaction, but it's more than usable with good Raiden, Clorinde or Arle.
I never do abyss past floor 11, the stress is just not worth the primo, especially when you get no leyline perks it's fully dependant on if you have the good characters.
I actually like it because it tests my builds more. This game is more a test of character and team building anyway, rather than mechanics. I do think they should add new floors instead of just inflating the numbers of the old floors though. It's fine to expect more out of veteran players to clear endgame, but add more rewards instead of taking them from people who could clear just 1 or 2 cycles ago.
.... I didn't notice this abyss' HP increase Maulani swept the top half, used Yoimiya Overload on the bottom half to break the geo shields cleared without resets
7:00 I actually had to spit out my drink as an HSR player there what is that 😂 They have been increasing the HP modifier constantly in HSR since Memories of Chaos 12 released here starting at 92.9% upon the release of MoC 11 and 12, then going up to about 130% for most of 2.X. The newest MoC upped that to 150% and the next one is going up to 180% in 2.6 (we are currently near the end of 2.5 here) Going from 150% to 275% in one patch is absolutely insane lmao l
I got into the game about 4 months ago. I cleared for the first time last rotation with spare time. Now when I try to clear this one I barely get enough time to 2star the first chamber. It's insane
as an old player, i don't mind more difficulty honestl(even if its artificial ), except for the part where we are getting the exact same rewards, the should had add abbys floor 13 to add this new difficulty, increasing the rewards
I used dehya she was really good on floor 3 second half. I don't know how but with furina, nuvi and xilo it just worked. Pls give this team a shot its really fun. If u r struggling.
Getting Navia was the best I did on her banner. I was a Noelle main, but after Navia, everytime Y need geo, I just nuke the hell of things, like the centaur. The rest of the team is Furina, Nahida and Kuki that do their hyperbloom thing on the background, lol. I love that team.

Xilonen actually breaks the shield of the horse guy with charged attack :D
Note last abyss blessings was so easy to obtain. Use elemental skill and normal attacks like most of the characters do but this abyss just gives def for geo users
I feel like this abbys shows why rational is still decent, as the element combination and aplication of the characters are good enoug to break every shield in the game
Huh. This explains why it took me so long to 36 star abyss when I first started the game. So many people say "it's easy" but conveniently leave out the "if you've been playing since launch" bit, lmao! Good thing I play Overload and Eula comp though.
This abyss was the first abyss since I started playing that I’ve actually found somewhat easy. And I think it’s because for the first time ever, I actually had a team they wanted me to use (Navia) and I STILL only 35 starred it. I’ve never 36 starred the abyss, mostly because I’m pretty casual, but this abyss was the first time I thought I had a chance, but those consecrated beasts were WAY too tanky, that should not have been that hard
Even if you clearing 36* whole year is still not enough to cover even ONE 5*, not to mention that you still can lose 50/50. So pulling for meta is not worth.
Feeled so called out in the first minute because yeah I'm old but not invested enough to clear the abyss. I just like genshin videos to pass the time 😔
Just for you know, your "small channel" has reached other countries. As a "Day 1 player", i have SO MANY opinions that are similar to yours and is refreshing to hear someone else speaking exactly what i think. I would give SO MUCH for Genshin to revisit old characters and update them to the current state of the game (Venti, Albedo, Klee...). Anyways, i'm sending you hugs from Brazil ❤
When I heard they increased the max HP, I thought: "omg what I'm gonna do, will I have enough damage?" Then I did Arlecchino (C0R1), Xilonen, Kazuha (C0R1) and Zhongli first half and Raiden (C2R1), Xiangling, Bennett and Chevreuse (C6) for second half. I cleared it in 01:15, both sides. Ok, first 12-1-1/2 was a bit longer, they lived almost 01:45. That's why I don't use "meta" character anymore. Last abyss I did with Ayaka and Kinich, just to have fun...
I struggled a lot to get my first 36 star abyss on the last cycles and now the enemys have a quadrillion hp, this is ridiculous, why can't they just make more floors because the jump from floor 10-11 to 12 is crazy
One of the things I like to do with my (very atypical) account is solo clearing Floor 12 (i.e. one character per side.) For that purpose, the centaur golem thing is my only nemesis, and a _very_ unwelcome one. Yes, I heard that C6 Kinich can deal with this horror alone with ease, but the many problems resulting from his spazz-out combat style and Nightsoul Transmission put me off pulling constellations. My solo Abyss roster this time was C6R3 Neuvillette side one, C6R1 Arlecchino side two. For 12-3, Neuv has to clear side 1 in about 25s or less, then Arlecchino spends _two and a half minutes_ whacking that thing continuously and hoping for good RNG on it dropping its Resonant Detonation. (I think the latter should happen more often btw. It's about once per minute and only takes off 20% of the shield's GUs.) Then you have to burst down as much HP as you can before it re-shields (that timer is too short) and hope whatever's left isn't too much to remove through the second shield. Oh, and also don't kill it if the time is no good or you're restarting at 12-1. (I had that happen at 6 : 59 first time they put this in Abyss...) This time it was again the only floor I had to retry, and it took about 25 minutes for the dice to roll my way. No skill check here, it's just waiting for the right NPC behaviour on both sides. When that happened, I had ~15s left. I remember Feast of the Departed Warriors and Labyrinth Warriors; Hoyo can make interesting endgame content. They just choose not to. In the meantime, I'm going to keep doing this as long as I can rather than letting Hoyo tell me how to play and who to pull.
This and last abyss were actually the first ones I were ever able to 36 star, and pretty easily too. You really don't need geo, Arlecchino+Chevreuse overload did more than fine for my case in all rooms, and Shinobu hyperbloom cleaned out the first rooms easily. After bashing my head against abyss now for literal months chasing that elusive 36, first off it's really not worth it and every whale yawning at it can suck it because for lesser investment accounts it's always hard, but it's also a test of enemy manipulation. Same with the hardest difficulty in the current ongoing event, you don't *need* Nilou bloom or Natlan characters, you just need decent builds and to understand where and how to load the damage
This explains a lot. I've been playing since February 2024. And have got characters like Neuvillette, Kazuha, Furina, Nahida, Yalen, C6 Chevy, Raiden. Kuki, Xingqiu, Etc. Mainly good characters for clears. And yet I only managed 33 stars. I remember the geo check being in the 4.7/4.8 abyss and now that I have a overload team I still can't clear second half of Floor 12. Because of this bull. It would be so much better if they just didn't make both a extremely high hp abyss along with a geo check.
i noticed this too, i usually dont struggle with abyss like last abyss it was a walk in the park. but for the first time in like almost a year i had to restart more than once
7:25 .... Because the last Abyss was the first Abyss of the 5.x patches. And also, Kinich had A MASSIVE skill damage bonus buff from the blessing 9:35 I cleared this Abyss with C0R0 Itto girlie... C0R1 Chiori, C6Gorou and C0R0 Furina. Also, if you want to beat this guy, you can also use OVERLOAD teams, or just claymore characters in general to break him faster. 10:17 Yes she is. She gor Furina, she had Yelan, she had Gorou, she had Yun Jin and she got Xilonen.
Last month I brought Keqing and I cleared pretty easily, and this month it felt like I was playing normal Diluc without Xianyun to the point I was far from clearing in time.
Imo the abyss's bigest problem is how it is only two challenges, iether defend the monolite or a clock race, and that the lack of variety makes it very vulnerable to strategic dominance, or as we all call it META! In an arms race that gets stale quicker each time it repeats, and how often they increase all resistances hurts some characters more than others, wich hurts a lot of players more than others You know how fun is 100 crit rate tartaglia against a crowd of monsters? Imagine how fun would a mode with hundreds of low hp monsters would be? Give the abyss varierty, or some buffs to characters in order to compensate short conmings, like turning phisiscal damage into true damage
i have geo dps on both sides so the last chamber wasn't a problem, but GOOD LORD it took me a while to 3 star that first chamber. I've only recently started 36 starring the abyss and hopefully my teams have time to evolve with the abyss meta
I used c6 R1 Itto, with a c2 zhongli, c6 gorou and c2 yelan and I was like "Holy Fuck, why does this abyss feel so fucking spongy" As you said at the start, didn't quite struggle but I had the characters the Abyss wanted me to have so it doesn't feel like a real victory (however fun it is to unga boonga charge attack that second half) I've been following your content for so long and it is fucking FELT how much this abyss just feels diff, and not in a healthy way
i actually brought a raiden overload team to fight the horse boss because i literally have no geo characters build, it performed pretty well if you time the rotation right and your raiden is well built
This current Abyss was hell for me. I am a Tartaglia Main that uses Xingqiu, Fischl, and Beidou for pure Electro-Charged mayhem and now this Team I spent a good 3 and a half years to make cannot be used well against Bosses that have DMG Resistances are are borderline immunities. I would've been OK with the gigantic HP Pools but having to deal no DMG that I specialize in is just cruel. While I am a Whale, imagine this situation on an F2Ps, who only have so few Characters they could work on that they pretty much stick to 1-2 Teams their entires lives in their respective Accounts.
I agree about the increasing difficulty of the Abyss. You can break the horse boss' shield in sufficient time with Xilonen though. I was able to get full stars first try and I was using a good but not optimal team (I use Layla instead of Kazuha because my skills are lacking and my supports sometimes otherwise get staggered during my setup, and I hate resets). I used Furina (R0C2), Neuvillette (R1C1), Layla (R1-Key C6), and Xilonen (R0C0). The strat was to use Xilonen to break the boss' shield and then nuke as hard as I could with Neuvillette. So Xilonen Q E N N and then spam charge attacks (which can damage the shield) until the shield breaks or her cooldowns refresh. It's definitely not the fastest way possible to break the shield, but I found it sufficient. Had to break the shield twice to finish it off. My other side was a Wanderer / C6 Faruzan team that typically clears slower than my Neuvillette team.
11:53 Im f2p and the last abyss was my first 36*. When I tried this one I felt like my characters were on the level of 1/2 year ago. People on Reddit were like „wow this abyss was so easy I finished every floor in
I wonder how different Genshin would be if the Spiral Abyss wasn't just a dps check. If from the beginning the end game, SA had required players to play more defensively or actually gave enough time to engage in fun gimmicks I imagine that the newly designed character would follow suit and be better at things other than high damage. And maybe artifacts with high def or hp rolls would have been useful in certain scenarios.
this abyss was actually the first one i had to retry once in the last year or 2, those geo shields keeps regenerating over and over were pretty annoying that i can't really see how zhongli'less people can clear it in time
8:37 Bro is trying to prove a point by fighting the *pyro* consecreated beast, who has *70% resistance against pyro* with his *burning Kinich team* coop. 😅

The Maguu Kenki… I just fought him in coop and… kept attacking the illusion for an embarrassingly long time…
@@Axterix13 but they still get inflated hp stats tho, and there is nothing telling us that they won't inflate their hp further, just tell me you use neuvillette that's why you don't think there is a problem with it since he does damage at a very long range so you don't care that the enemies are flying out of reach of like 90% of the characters in the game
So THAT'S why I felt like I was fighting that horse for a millennia

Even just getting to the point where I need Geo is a pain in the ass and I use their best Pyro, Arlecchino, for Wave 1 to begin with. Been working on a Chevreuse team anyway, but now I have to find a replacement for her T~T
@@Renteka-Bond You can run Arl for chamber one, then swap to other teams for the other two chambers.
Worth noting overload isn't the only non-geo answer. Claymores rock as well. But, well, like geo, people are too busy chasing the meta characters and ignore the claymore ones.
So I did end up Trying these 2 teams and got to 6 stars:
Team 1: Yelan / Mona / Dehya / Kinich
Team 2: Arlecchino / Chevy / Bidou / Fischl
The first team was shoddily put together (Yelan *kinda* works with Kinich, but it was more for the raw damage and Mona was there for the Damage Amp).
Arlecchino is a free 36 Stars, same with Neuvillette. Have them both and always 36 stars abyss unless skill issue or very bad artifacts.
Oh god, I thought I just absolutely sucked… I was wondering why I was having such a hard time with the Geo machine with Neuvillette.
Havent even watched the full video just wanna let you know
I love your avatar
I love your delivery
And i am hyperfixated on Genshin Impact rn.
Lol thanks brother
My yoimiya used to clear abyss so easily before but now she’s just tickling the abyss 💀
When flying enemies comeback (looking at you wenut and geo wolf) she'll become relevant again.
Floors 9, 10, and 11 are great and balanced, but 12 is a dps/character/weapon check, and is largely impossible to beat because the enemies health is way to much
ah yes it's so much a character and weapon check that there are people clearing with starter characters and 4 star weapons
@@byzdi Ill just paste my comment here:
I see a lot of youtubers clickbaiting the "4* only" Abyss runs BUT they have accounts that only wish for 4* chars and weapons, refresh resin to farm for them and EVERY SINGLE 4* is C6. Yea Fischl, XL, Benny, Chevy at C6 with Sapwood blade, Stringless and Catch at R5 can demolish the geo side but that team is FAR more expensive than an all 5* team. and they are c6 which is harder to get than 5 star@@byzdi
The way my navia hit 300k and it felt like a breeze to the enemie 💀
an average Noelle with Xilonen, Yelan, and Furina can actually very comfortably clear the last chamber. The only chamber I had difficulty with was the first one for some reason
I feel like half the abyss's problems would be gone if they just removed the stupid timer and have you get primogems for just clearing the Chambers, and then have you get some extra rewards for doing certain things like imaginum theather does it
Hoyo on its way to making the first ever p2w nonpvp gacha game
Overload was really good for the second half. I cleared it easily with Raiden, Chevreuse, Bennet, and Xiangling. For the first half I just used hyperbloom.
What constellation was your Raiden?
This abyss is horseshit. Last 2 cycles I was able to get 36* no problem and now I'm bashing my head against the 1st floor because the enemies have so much fucking HP that even my Arlecchino doesn't cut it. We are slowly but surely moving towards not being able to get 36* unless you have signature weapons and constellations. Really nice, mihoyo!
Same. Especially this cycle 12-1. There are way too many enemies and they are too tanky
I managed to clear it with hyperbloom top and sucrose national bot (only for 12-1) you sure your arle is well built?
The theory that hoyo secretly buffs the rng of new artifact domains while nerfing the old ones is getting stronger over time.
If you noticed I rant a lot don’t mind me. I have too many game design opinions.
The game could really benefit from counter moves, at least this way you could deal with one shot attacks and there would be a reason to learn enemy attacks.
hoyo definition of difficulty: add more HP
New abyss dropped and it’s even worse
It’s way worse the enemies now have crazy amount of hp
10:55 If you have Chevreuse Overload team you can also use that to break that Horse Boss shield
I started playing genshin 3 months ago and haven't pulled once on event banner bc I want Wriothesley😭😭

@@Otherface It's okay. New comers can have fun while being casual. Nothing to stress out floor 12 9 stars. Mihoyo does tune down abyss HP pool once in awhile.
@@nhozdien5058 "Mihoyo does tune down abyss hp pool once in a while"
Not once have they ever done that, if anything they have steadily increased it over time, and this current abyss was just over the top.
So this is what my friends feel like
In other news, congrats for hitting the/my algorithm because I’m seeing all your videos pop up. I like your content, so I’d say this is a win-win.
For me, I’d say the most painful abyss enemies are when it’s multi-wave and when there’s a (or more) lector(s) in those waves. Breaking the shield via the needed reaction is a time consuming pain in the ass.
alot of players struggle with the abyss when it was still at vanilla modifier
iwonder if hoyo has something in mind with this change
Guys, you can do Overload teams against the Geo Shielded enemies since Overload breaks it too, if you have Shogun National it will be enough to break it (If you have Chevreuse it's even better)
I’ve been watching your videos for like the past week and literally never noticed how new this channel is! I’m obsessed I can’t stop watching your vids
What can I say
I am not sacrifixing 30 minuts for 150 primos
30 stars is enough for me
They need end game content with enemies that can actually threaten killing you units and no time limit. I miss having to actually dodge
Right on spot with your comment about me being invested 😭 but like I'm so lonely none of my friends wanna talk to me about stuff like this so im happy that i can find RUclipsrs that do
275% hp bonus in each enemy 😱. That explains why the beasts are so danm tanky this time. I hate genshin dev team even more.
the only problem for me was the second and third floor second phase bosses keeps spamming their stupid geo shield over and over again not letting me even finish my rotation and i have to wait 24 seconds zhongli cooldown even tho his e skill shreds geo shields to pieces
i think you got something wrong soul, the geo horsey having 7m is calculation factoring in his 90% res, in reality he has 3327601hp wich while being the highest hp pool ever on an abyss enemy is obviously much less, while his shield is down he has -70%res wich means without further res shred since the res multiplier for negative res is halved you'd need to deal an equivalent of 2.16m dmg against a 0 res enemy, but that's still a lot given the length of that window
noelle actually slaps this abyss with the 60% def increase and xilonen. mine was hitting for 70k+ with serpent spine and her shield explosion was hitting for around 160k.
Loved the information in this video. Was unaware of a lot of it and was fascinated, so Thanks for that.
I'd only say that Noelle is definitely strong enough to be the main Geo carry - she's just comp dependant like Xiao
I KNEW IT WASNT MY BUILDS!!
@@aperson6562 If the capybara is ever added into the abyss, just saying you'll have to face a 20 million hp enemy.
@@Sergmanny46 I was saying that the local legends should be used for completely new endgame, not just abyss
Like wtf
In the end I used Xingqui, Yelan Arlechino and Xilonen in the first half, and Rosaria, Xiangling, Navia and Zhongli in the second (mind that every 5* is C0 and Navia, Arle and Xilonen have their signatures) and still managed to clear it at 7:00 time, bearly making it.
The Luck portion isn't just in reference to the characters, but the artifacts as well, as no amount of rotations will beat the fact that you need high stats and the only way to get high stats is pure RNG:
Farm Artefact
Get right slot piece
Get Right header stat
Get right substats
Get right substat rolls
That's 5 layers of RNG just on 1 piece for 1 character, even once you get past all the farming to get a character to 90 and level their talents and weapons, which also has layers of RNG and uses the same resources as farming for Artefacts.
@@Renteka-Bond yes, I realize this and mentioned this as "older account has more possibilities by default", meaning all the resin spent.
We'll see this time round how good those 4 star FtP runs are this time round when they have to do double the damage.

They put more floors into the Imaginarium theatre before they added more floors to the Abyss.
@@HadouGun That hits hard when you put it that way...
.... I didn't notice this abyss' HP increase
Maulani swept the top half, used Yoimiya Overload on the bottom half to break the geo shields
cleared without resets

I actually had to spit out my drink as an HSR player there what is that 😂
They have been increasing the HP modifier constantly in HSR since Memories of Chaos 12 released here starting at 92.9% upon the release of MoC 11 and 12, then going up to about 130% for most of 2.X.
The newest MoC upped that to 150% and the next one is going up to 180% in 2.6 (we are currently near the end of 2.5 here)
Going from 150% to 275% in one patch is absolutely insane lmao l
275% + 50%. So it's 325% more hp for all of us to enjoy (sarcasm).
So thats why my 850.000 vapes from my mualani didnt one shoted some elite mobs and needed a full rotation ☠️
Now-a-days Spiral Abyss just feels like a chore rather a challenge. Just a thing you do to get your monthly primo check.
Me as F2P player..
"Fa'k spiral abiss they can rot there its isolated anyway."
5 wishes a month tho
@@saadplays8214 yea only 5. Not even a 4 star.
Even if you clearing 36* whole year is still not enough to cover even ONE 5*, not to mention that you still can lose 50/50. So pulling for meta is not worth.
Nice cope
@@gartheprofitabletrader392 in a game as stingy as genshin, you kinda do need the 5 wishes per month tbh
It's about once per minute and only takes off 20% of the shield's GUs.)
Then you have to burst down as much HP as you can before it re-shields (that timer is too short) and hope whatever's left isn't too much to remove through the second shield. Oh, and also don't kill it if the time is no good or you're restarting at 12-1. (I had that happen at 6 : 59 first time they put this in Abyss...)
This time it was again the only floor I had to retry, and it took about 25 minutes for the dice to roll my way.
Just a tip: Xilonen charged atteck and Fischl Burst posess blunt attack keyword so can help breaking those geo-shields
7:25 .... Because the last Abyss was the first Abyss of the 5.x patches. And also, Kinich had A MASSIVE skill damage bonus buff from the blessing
9:35 I cleared this Abyss with C0R0 Itto girlie...
"Man this abyss is hard... oh yea! I can play with my hands!!"
Imo the abyss's bigest problem is how it is only two challenges, iether defend the monolite or a clock race, and that the lack of variety makes it very vulnerable to strategic dominance, or as we all call it META! In an arms race that gets stale quicker each time it repeats, and how often they increase all resistances hurts some characters more than others, wich hurts a lot of players more than others
You know how fun is 100 crit rate tartaglia against a crowd of monsters? Imagine how fun would a mode with hundreds of low hp monsters would be? Give the abyss varierty, or some buffs to characters in order to compensate short conmings, like turning phisiscal damage into true damage
i have geo dps on both sides so the last chamber wasn't a problem, but GOOD LORD it took me a while to 3 star that first chamber. I've only recently started 36 starring the abyss and hopefully my teams have time to evolve with the abyss meta
I used c6 R1 Itto, with a c2 zhongli, c6 gorou and c2 yelan and I was like "Holy Fuck, why does this abyss feel so fucking spongy"
As you said at the start, didn't quite struggle but I had the characters the Abyss wanted me to have so it doesn't feel like a real victory (however fun it is to unga boonga charge attack that second half)
I've been following your content for so long and it is fucking FELT how much this abyss just feels diff, and not in a healthy way
i actually brought a raiden overload team to fight the horse boss because i literally have no geo characters build, it performed pretty well if you time the rotation right and your raiden is well built
And maybe artifacts with high def or hp rolls would have been useful in certain scenarios.
this abyss was actually the first one i had to retry once in the last year or 2, those geo shields keeps regenerating over and over were pretty annoying that i can't really see how zhongli'less people can clear it in time
Imagine imaginarium theater relases an only
Cryo and electro and the enemies only weak against physical
8:37 Bro is trying to prove a point by fighting the *pyro* consecreated beast, who has *70% resistance against pyro* with his *burning Kinich team* coop. 😅
