Most locals that have a brain don't take offense to it being called the Paddock. We can separate a horrible tragedy from the current F1 race and know they have nothing to do with each other.
I figured that was the case. As usual in American media, they take what a few people say & report it like it's the mainstream opinion for clicks.

@@KymIllman it def is interesting to watch a city that is solely based on tourism and the fact that the locals went through 3 months of he// makes it feel like we are watching a dumpster fire in real time. From what I’ve seen and heard so far…. I’d be surprised if they continue this race in this format after next year. Everyone thinks it’s a 10 yr contract but I’m led to believe it’s 2 year’s guaranteed, and the next 8 give Vegas first rights for that race… if they so choose.
Great content Kym! Big Formula 1 fan for many years. I just moved here from California 4 months ago. I was excited to go to this race but it was priced waaaay too much for me. No one around here knows anything about F1. Just the Raiders and the Golden Knights hockey team.
People are mostly disappointed with the traffic situation. Vegas has had non-stop construction for the past 10-15 years but nothing to this level. I hope the race is a success! 🏎️

Not really. They have to take down all the stands, lighting, etc., and return everything back to normal as best as possible. I estimate it’ll take 4 to 6 weeks.
