I'm applying for JET again, but I wished I got to experience and live in Japan before 2020. I feel like Japan isn't the same, but I'm still gonna apply. My goal is to have a career in the Japanese animation industry. I using the JET or some other teaching job as a steeping stone to get to Japan and teach for a few years before applying at an animation studio.
This is my second year of waiting due to covid was moving out last year but covid again this year on hold for now hopefully 🙏 everyone that’s trying and waiting can get over to japan soon

I was planning on going on study abroad with my college, but corona caused all my plans to get put in the back burner, but I’m still trying for my JPN minor, majoring in English. I was wondering if you have your teaching certificate, or if it makes a difference when you go for ALT work in Japan? I know the JET website says it isn’t required, but I was wondering your opinion on it. Is it worth the extra time to get the teaching certificate or not? Also, thank you for the amazing videos! Very helpful in getting an idea of ALT life :D

And I hope they could provide a service car or ask a school staff to pick you up from the station? I can’t think of doing that on a daily basis but on the bright side it’s a good exercise though but with mask gosh it’s extremely hard. I hope everything is well with you.

Iwakuni station looks so different from when I lived in Hiroshima. Trains are exactly the same though :P
It really has changed alot even in the three years that i've been here because renovations started when i came in 2018
