Hey homies!!! How's your year been? 😏 It's been forever and a day! But I'm here to give you the hot tea on the mess that is my life and trust me..you are not ready! Remember to leave me a like and sub 😉
So sorry to hear about all the pain and suffering you've been through. I didn't know it but I had anemia too during my first year of college and I was struggling, I was tired all the time and I had to read the same texts over and over again for my classes because I couldn't retain any information. It wasn't until I went to the doctor after a year that I was told I was anemic and given iron pills and they also made me sick. It was a mess. I really hope things turn around for you a d you see brighter days 🌞😎
I relate almost 100% to this health story. Last year I bled for 2 months straight. By the 2nd month I couldn't walk up 2 steps without getting winded. I too thought it was just me being out of shape & fat lol. One day I was carefully moving some bags of clothing to my car. And I mean Carefully, cuz I didn't want to exhaust myself. Even so, I nearly passed out in my apartment parking lot and felt like I was having a heart attack. I was rushed to the emergency room and learned that my blood count was at a 4.3 😳. Lawdd I coulda died that day. But thank God for all the people that give blood. I would've never thought I'd ever be getting a blood transfusion, but here I am & I am eternally grateful 🙏🏽. P.s. I went on birth control & it solved my hormonal bleeding. I hope you're doing much better now. Sending love 💌
Thank you Tomi! Hope you are feeling better! I can’t imag8ne how u must’ve felt not having your close circle with you during those difficult time! I’m happy you chose your health over work! Hopefully, you being surrounded by your love one and taking a break from work will improve your health! Take care and stay safe
I like how at 3:00 you said that nobody would want to watch a walkthrough video without music and let me tell you, I'm one of the few that prefers that, lol. I haaaate that nauseating RUclips music that seems to be in EVERY 'Day in my life'/walkthrough video. I actually turn the volume down or mute it. I prefer not listening to those cheesy, high pitched jingles and I like to listen to the world itself. The birds chirping, footsteps, the flowing sound of streams, rain pelting down on various surfaces, incomprehensible chattering in crowded areas, the sizzling of food in pans, etc. That's just me. 🤷
I'm predicting a mega glow up when she goes back to Jamaica! Also, please always consult with more than 1 or 2 doctors, you can save yourself a lot of trouble and treatment of incorrect diagnosis and even surgery!
Oh Tomi!!! This vlog gave me all the feels. 🥺🥺🥺 I don’t want to post any comments that will be spoilers for people who haven’t watched this video yet, but just want to say thank you for being so honest, transparent, and forthcoming with what you’ve been going through. My heart goes out to you. 💞 You are doing exactly what you need to do to take care of yourself. Keep doing that. Sending ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 to you!
I feel you gurl! Wishing you all the best with your move back home. While Japan is great in many ways I personally feel like it can never be home for me, so I'm looking forward to when I get to pack my bags and say sayonara! You take back home with you memories and experiences that will have shaped you in ways you never knew had you not come to Japan, so that's something to appreciate. Wishing you all the best! XOXO
Honestly tomi listening to how much pain you were in made me feel so bad too. I rlly respect you for going to school and doing your best despite how you felt. It's super hard being away from family and friends. As a person who has never moved out/traveled, I can only imagine I'd cry and Google all day
You have been through a lot Tomi, glad that you are still able to laugh. Hope everything works out for you, cause you deserve it. Blessings girlfriend and remember that your homies love you.

Wow. I've been going through my own issues and have not been on social media as much. I am so sorry that you had these experiences, but I am so happy to see you and know that you are doing better. One chapter has closed and I wish you all the best on the next one Tomi. Sending love and light to you🙏💜

Can not wait to see your new video. It’s almost 8:00 AM, BUT……. I have to wait 8 more hrs. until your “I Quit” video begins !!! OK, will clean house to help the time go faster…..mata ne ! (Your day, is my night, here in USA……..)
I enjoy your videos, and am sorry to see you go through so much. I had iron deficiency to the point of needing 33 intravenous iron infusions. The debilitating fatigue destroys all aspects of life. Please take care of yourself, physically and mentally. Never feel the need to apologize for self care. Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.
Awww, I hope you're fine while transitioning to a different job. I quit my job 2 weeks ago to relocate to a different State an get settled in before moving on to my next prehired job (if I even decide to actually accept it) since home searches can be so time consuming. Then the process of actually packing up junk (you forgot you had) to journey into an unfamiliar environment. So hopefully this will be my final move!
I recommend to take daily herbal multivitamins, garlic capsules and irish seamoss capsules. I always like to drink green tea every day too, in my eyes the natural medicines are always the best!
Oh Tomi, you really went through it! Thank you for sharing this experience with us, it’s really generous of you to put your story out there, because it will help so many people. I’ve lived in Japan several times and I’m just about to go back for a new opportunity. Every time I’m in Japan, I fight this feeling. I just get down in the dumps, I love the people, the place, the culture, but my god if the work culture and social mores don’t start to get you down… I’m glad you chose yourself and your health and your happiness. I hope you keep on that path.
Welcome back Tomi, it sounds like you went through a lot of healing. I think it would be amazing to see a day in your life when you arrive to Jamaica. I can totally see you doing freelance on either Contra or Fiverr.

Good idea to go with your instincts…….seems that change from your present daily life is best. Now you have something really fun to look forward to….no place like home !!!!! Just keep up with the videos, planning for the summer and beyond will take us along with you……you will not be alone for sure. So, please take care of yourself first always, health is soooooo important.
Tomi!! I am so glad to see you post a video! I hope that your move home will bring you peace and will be an easy transition for you. I had my period for a month straight when I started taking birth control and it was the worse thing ever so for you to have to deal with all this and be working and trying to figure out what's going on I feel for you. I am sending you so much positive energy and love.
Also I see you as my sister so please take a break when you get home and don't feel pressured to figure out your next thing to do, spend time with family, friends, your community and make new memories!
You are taking such good care of yourself Tomi, life is handing you nonstop challenges lately. I think you’re making the right move going home your health is the most important thing and seeing your physical and mental health suffer I think it makes so much sense. I’m excited for the Jamaica Vlogs it’s a Tomi we haven’t got to see much of yet we’ve only had you abroad 😘
Hi Tomi welcome back!! Maybe TMI but I think you should go to the go check for fibroids because they are known to show up randomly and make women anaemic and they also give cramps. Iron tablets can also make you sick if you have gastrointestinal problems. I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I hope you’re better. 🥰
Hi Tomi! I’ve been watching you for over a year and I’m so glad to see you back! I relate so much when it comes to being anemic, I recently moved to Beppu and for about 2 weeks I was really sick and weak and didn’t understand what was happening to me. It also got really bad during my period but since I started taking iron supplements it’s gotten much better. I hope you are well and I appreciate you!
Understand the anemia- I had hemoglobin of 4.5 when I was a teenager. I went to school and came home and slept. My mother always woke me up to eat dinner so at least I ate some food. My grades went down a bit. When I was diagnosed, I started taking iron pills. We found this out right before summer vacation so I was able to stay home for about three months and sleep a lot and take those wretched pills. We knew what caused mine so that wasn’t an issue. Good luck to you in finding the cause.
I hope you're feeling better. I bought some cast pots and pans, drink chlorophyll liquid drops daily, and eat plenty of high iron foods. My low iron had me messed up too.
Hey Tomi, you should take magnesium bisglycinate instead of iron. Other essential minerals like zinc will help too. Excessive iron causes lots of issues in the body.
We missed you girl!! glad you are back😊 Hope all goes well and you feel better ❤ There is nothing wrong with taking a break to recharge and what better place to do it with family back home you deserve it. I enjoy all your videos and find you inspiring and fun to watch thanks for sharing your journey in Japan with us ❤😊 can't wait to see your next adventures.
I hope you are feeling a lot better! Sorry to hear about all the shit happening in your professional life in addition to the shit related to health. I wanted to say we love and support you and you are incredibly strong to be making the decision to say no to another year of JET and know what is best for you! Best of luck in the months to come and onwards!
I’m sorry to hear that your health and work life hasn’t been good 😣 I had a similar experience last year. But since leaving my job I’ve felt so much better and I feel like myself again! I’m sure once you’ve left your job and you’re back in Jamaica you’ll feel even more relaxed and happy about every thing ☺️💙
It's so good to see you back on the RUclips scene. I hope you will feel better once you are back at home. All the best on your next move. Praying for a steady recovery for you physically and mentally.
Thanks for the update! Just wanted to say your post actually made me cry a little - I just felt seen. This is exactly what happened to me! I suddenly noticed around Xmas I would get winded when going up even one flight of stairs which, I’m not a small person but I always considered myself to be in decent shape for a bigger girl, so one flight of stairs was weird - I’d gained a bit more weight but I blamed it on the last two years but maybe I was being lazy, etc, that I needed to work on my fitness again, but at the same time I felt so overwhelmed by everything, I even decided to leave my job which was adding a lot of extra stress at the time - And then a week later I found out my iron was at a six! That this whole last two years I was probably losing iron every month and that’s why I very slowly deteriorating (along with some other symptoms that it took me forever to not just say I’m lazy, including stuff like brain fog and craving ice..) and migraines every week… I was a little envious at first when you said you got a blood transfusion (did you feel any effects after doing that?) because I felt like my doctor was too chill about it - he was just like “hmm don’t worry all women are iron deficient, I’ll just give you one iron pill a day-“ But seeing how sick you were with double pills I guess that’s why mine went slow… the downside for me is because it takes your body so long to re-absorb the iron you need it’s two months later now and I’m just very slowly starting to feel better. Also, some days I get nervous about having changed my job situation when I was feeling so bad, etc, but sometimes you just need to do something new, and give yourself space and rest, so I’m hoping that works out for you too. To anyone else out there who has made it this far in my little rant - take yourself seriously. You are not lazy! It’s so easy to write off the signs of anemia or other problems, don’t feel bad about using your doctor’s time. You deserve their attention.
You are such an inspiring woman! Nicely done video. I wish you the best of luck with this transitionary period of your life! Keep being yourself Tomi, the world is brighter for it~ ✨
This video had me in feelinngggss!!! I am so sorry to hear about your illness and the what seems to be a toxic environment! But sis your mental health does come first sooo I support your decision to come back home😊 I was hoping to meet you when I arrive in Japan😔 but girl you have to do what have to. Take care and be safe! Thanks for the update!🤗
I've been keeping up with your Instagram story and in can tell you've been through a lot, I'm glad you can get to come back to Jamaica❤ hope you can have a meet and greet❤😁
Hiii Tomi I hope your feeling good and happy and enjoy the rest of Japan going back to Jamaica may be your best choice but also just do you I’ve loved all your videos about Japan you have been my biggest inspiration to move to Japan when I’m an adult I just wanna say ilysm and all your videos! Stay safe!
Hello. I just found your blog. I hope you are better. I want to share that you may want to check to see if you have fibroids. They will cause all of the issues that you mentioned. I’m in the USA there is a treatment called UFE for fibroids. A Dr. John Lipman ( based in Atlanta) is an expert in UFE and you can find him on RUclips and find out more information. Check to see if Doctors in Jamaica perform the procedure. Take care of yourself. I am sending good vibes your way!
Iron supplements are over the counter in Jamaica and you dont need a prescription/to visit a doctor to get them! It makes me wonder if the meds they gave you that were supposed to help had too many added "benefits" beyond being a supplement therefore causing complications. Glad ...you're back!
Hello Tomi, it's great to hear from you. I'm sorry to hear you haven't been well. I'll still be subscribed when you leave Japan - I'd love to see content from your home country of Jamaica ^_^
So sorry to hear about all your struggles, without health everything else is just difficult af. You got this girl! I wonder what medication it was….I am also on iron medication but so far not adverse reaction.
Ms Tomi , Thanks for Sharing. My Blood levels dropped to 3 out of 12. I kept fainting, fortunately I work in a hospital my coworkers picked me up to me to EMERGENCY ROOM. After the Blood transfusion. I was fine for 6-9 months then, the Period Flood gates would open, for months into a year ( very light; But every DAY. ) after 2nd transfusion and a 3rd. They finally did a Blood die trace; to see why I was loosing so much Blood. The conclusion, I had to get a Hysterectomy my uterus got so large depleting my blood supply. I have had 1 Daughter. She and her Husband bore 6 Grandchilden for me to love. I pray you will be Fortunate to have Children with your Husband to be, in the near future. If this is your desire. And sometimes Strees causes our bodies to get off balance too. GOD BLESS YOU , Miss Beautiful Tomi.
On the music thing, they have music you can use that is fair use, look into that. Go over to Sunday's channel, she did a video on where she gets her music, or leave her a comment asking or DM her.
I just came across your channel so I dunno you well but just wanted to say sorry that you had some of these awful experiences and hope things improve vastly when you move back home. I've been living here in Tokyo for about 3 years and despite having faced some hardships, I intend to stay here for decades to come. I'm glad that I have my partner and friends to support me. One thing I hate about Japan is how difficult it is to get things like morning after pills and certain medication since you'd need a prescription first when back home in Malaysia it's all OTC. 😑 I also have anemia and while it's not severe, all the walking and the HEAT during summer actually caused me to faint once in public and almost fainting a few more times since then. 🙃
Hey Tomi welcome back. Omgosh, the copyright try happen to me. I told them plain and straight.. It was free to use, I am a subscriber of *said company* and so I am in my right to use the tracks. They then removed their nonsense lol.
Wow I really feel for you - please look after yourself, don't worry about us here on RUclips missing you, we can wait! Sounds like you've had a tough few months 😥 Btw you can definitely take iron medication and birth control - I had awful periods as a teenager and were severely anaemic (fainted and ended up in hospital), the doctors put me on birth control (no periods since, amazing) and iron tablets (only for a few months until my levels were normal again). I'd perhaps try and see a different doctor in Japan, maybe a specialist gynecologist? Also, as others have mentioned, it can be a symptom of other problems such as fibroids, endometriosis, etc - definitely see a doctor to investigate. (And sorry, science major here - red blood cells carry oxygen around your body, hence why being anaemic makes you feel super tired as you're not getting enough oxygen. It's your white blood cells which are important for your immune system 😊)
I can def understand knowing when it’s time to go home. I too am leaving Japan in summer. I don’t know for sure what’s next either. But I’m trusting God and taking a leap of faith!
@@GracyIma Because Japan isn’t it the utopia people paint it out to be. It has positives but definitely has a lot of negatives as well. Not to mention companies here straight up exploit foreigners. It makes no sense for me personally to be away from my family and everything I know to be exploited by companies, and unable to thrive here.
@@sudeenthompson7160 wow !tnks for d reply actually considering coming over to teach my country no opportunity and hearing this now just weighed me dwn,why do they do so?I mean exploitation in what sense? overtime ?or low pay?

Your health and well-being always come first! I feel for you.. I know you'll do wonderful things back home as well! Wish you the best, Tomi!
Welcome Baaaaccck!
We're u been girl, missed ya!
Hey Tomi, you should take magnesium bisglycinate instead of iron. Other essential minerals like zinc will help too. Excessive iron causes lots of issues in the body.
I missed your videos 🥺🤍 I’m halfway through the video 🥺🤍
Can’t wait to watch!!!
Hope you'll enjoy ❤️❤️

Yaaassss Capricorn energy 💜💜
Thanks for the update! Just wanted to say your post actually made me cry a little - I just felt seen. This is exactly what happened to me! I suddenly noticed around Xmas I would get winded when going up even one flight of stairs which, I’m not a small person but I always considered myself to be in decent shape for a bigger girl, so one flight of stairs was weird - I’d gained a bit more weight but I blamed it on the last two years but maybe I was being lazy, etc, that I needed to work on my fitness again, but at the same time I felt so overwhelmed by everything, I even decided to leave my job which was adding a lot of extra stress at the time -
And then a week later I found out my iron was at a six!
Looking forward to seeing you tomi it’s been a while see you soon 💖💖
I hope you'll enjoy 😊
Great video Toni, praying for you that everything’s okay❤️
You’ve been through so much!! Wishing you all the best and the best health too 💖💜💖💜

I just love Tomi's laugh.!! Lol 😂 😂
🤣🤣🤣 Omgggg thank you
Tomi is back! I just wondering where you were a few days ago lol. Glad to see you back :D
😁😁😁 Thank youuu
Iron supplements are over the counter in Jamaica and you dont need a prescription/to visit a doctor to get them! It makes me wonder if the meds they gave you that were supposed to help had too many added "benefits" beyond being a supplement therefore causing complications. Glad ...you're back!
Thumbs up 👍 and waiting!
Thanks babe ❤️❤️
Hello Tomi, it's great to hear from you. I'm sorry to hear you haven't been well. I'll still be subscribed when you leave Japan - I'd love to see content from your home country of Jamaica ^_^
So sorry to hear about all your struggles, without health everything else is just difficult af. You got this girl! I wonder what medication it was….I am also on iron medication but so far not adverse reaction.
I would love to see some of the beautiful spots in Jamaica 🇯🇲 when you get settled there! 👍🌷🥳
GOOD LUCK in your next adventure
I also have anemia and while it's not severe, all the walking and the HEAT during summer actually caused me to faint once in public and almost fainting a few more times since then. 🙃
Hey Tomi welcome back. Omgosh, the copyright try happen to me. I told them plain and straight.. It was free to use, I am a subscriber of *said company* and so I am in my right to use the tracks. They then removed their nonsense lol.
YAAAAS IM READDDYYYY 😂❤
Yaaasss we livvveeee ❤️🥺
Wow I really feel for you - please look after yourself, don't worry about us here on RUclips missing you, we can wait! Sounds like you've had a tough few months 😥
Btw you can definitely take iron medication and birth control - I had awful periods as a teenager and were severely anaemic (fainted and ended up in hospital), the doctors put me on birth control (no periods since, amazing) and iron tablets (only for a few months until my levels were normal again).
Why? isn't the teaching experience worth it?
@@GracyIma Because Japan isn’t it the utopia people paint it out to be. It has positives but definitely has a lot of negatives as well. Not to mention companies here straight up exploit foreigners. It makes no sense for me personally to be away from my family and everything I know to be exploited by companies, and unable to thrive here.
And while I do love that I get to help the kids, I can do that anywhere.
@@sudeenthompson7160 wow !tnks for d reply actually considering coming over to teach my country no opportunity and hearing this now just weighed me dwn,why do they do so?I mean exploitation in what sense? overtime ?or low pay?
Is there no option of having other job opportunities asides teaching der? perhaps after contract's ends
Haters gonna hate! Keep your head up!
I really love your editing style! 🌸
Thank youuuu 💜💜
