Most of the world (Including the US) always talk about visiting Los Angeles or New York but to me Chicago is the most beautiful, clean, fun and DELICIOUS city in all of the U.S. Hands down.

Pre pandemic both those sandwiches were about 5 dollars cheaper, meat prices more than doubled in the US. Still, you are right to be shocked lol. There was actually an interview with Manny's owner where he discusses how hard it was to raise the prices, but how, "Chicago can't afford more than a 20 dollar sandwich." Katz's deli in Manhattan sells a comparable sandwich close to 30 dollars, which I think is what he was referring to. Also good call going to the original Al's on Taylor.
I can only watch your food videos while I'm eating, so I don't get hungry and start craving the food you show. I was surprised the pastrami sandwich didn't have mustard on it when it was prepared. That's so funny that Justina hates mustard! That's my favorite sandwich condiment.

Graham Cracker crust are made from graham cracker which are the crackers use when making smores. Now that you have tried corned beef have you tried a Ruben sandwich and have you tried rootbeer?
Yeah, my thoughts as well. Don't think it's a chicago thing, but that corn beef sandwich needed to be a reuben, corned beef, swiss, sauerkraut on rye, and get it toasted 😊

Justina hates yellow mustard (so do I, except for honey mustard) but I think you ladies ought to cover Chicago-style dogs/red hots. They are the quintessential Chicago food along with deep dish pizza and Italian beef. Chicagoan do take ketchup on hot dog personally, I once got caught by the ketchup police and they let me know about it. BTW, only young children can put ketchup on hot dogs.
Don't ever let anyone tell you new york has better food than Chicago... you have to come back in the summer, we are the greatest summer city on the planet. I hope you had a chocolate cake shake from portillos. And you over paid for the food because downtown jacks up the prices for everything. Go into the neighborhoods to eat next time 😉

You know those two half slices of bread on the corned beef were both the top of the sandwich. It's not some special design, they just flopped off.
