It was so obviously a 4p coop pve game even when they announced it. No idea how you ever assumed PvP or BR. People assume really stupid things.

This game reminds me of back when devs would just "make a game". When games didn't need all the complicated nonsense or ridiculous half baked endings for DLC. Looks like they just made a south park movie into a game.
The game is a mess .... the other games were close to perfect .... this is just a fail experiment with not much effort put into .

There was a South Park game for the mobile devices which is called: South Park: Phone Destroyer. It was a spin off game to The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole but shaped like cowboys destroying phones with their whip abilities.
I wish it wasn’t so greedy on MTX on high asf levels. Almost impossible to beat without spending money for better cards.
I loved that game. I couldn't help but drop a few bucks on micro transactions, and it was hilarious that one of the endings of the single player insults you for being dumb enough spend money on it.

Yeah in interviews they were saying this was pretty much a test run to see how the 3d system would work. They said they were gonna update the game and add more content as time goes on
This looks great. The world alone looks amazing to explore.
there isn't much to explore. They're just linear hallways.
There’s nothing to explore doesn’t resemble South Park at all really and the “free roam” is Carmarthen’s back yard

Pre ordered this and totally forgot it released. I just love South Park and South Park content and for the price, that’s all I wanted was new South Park content and new jokes of the town. I still play phone destroyer even though it’s garbage just for the lols at times. South Park will always be close to my heart
Is it a rouguelite... do you get permanent upgrades and more options available after each run? Looks like it could be fun mediocre time if the rouguelite systems work.

So sad that this game is roughly only about 4 hours long. But since I’m planning on getting the platinum trophy I’m hoping there’s a lot of content/collectables after the game.
i mean, i bought the version that comes with the season pass for $50 so i assume there's more content to come post-launch..
I heard the platinum is like 12hours

I wish they would have done it the same way as the other games. I love those games.
There is also the Waves with the goth girl that you totally forgot to talk about. Which is a whole other section of the game not the main story
part of reson I didn't buy it 5 hrs is not good enough even for $80aus I'll wait to see how long dlc will be before I purchase or wait few months for a sale

They have like 3 weapons lol I’m having a hard time playing this game I get bored super easy and you might as well be carrying a pool noodle around bc you do little to no damage
Thank you for your review. I am so confused due to IGN. Don't know whether to be excited or not. I preordered the deluxe, but won't get to try it for awhile. Now I expect to enjoy for the first 3-4 weeks then slowly move back to hell divers 2 until post launch content
I actually like the 3d style, also the realtime combat, that's the thing I'm really looking forward too - turned based combat kills me, happy to try this game out

I was kind of picturing the n64 version after seeing the 20th-century pricing! 😅 It looks pretty entertaining, though. I'll definitely be downloading that later.
pvp update sounds the most reasonable in the near future, it the game will have updates

Also they plan to add more to the game down the line
For a new style of game they did a good job, it’s bare bones but the mechanics work well and has that humour we know and love

@@FullyShadow Why? It was so clearly obviously always a 4p PvE coop game that never would ever have PvP, because it would so clearly and obviously be completely terrible at PvP.
You should try South Park: Phone Destroyer. I know it's a mobile game, but it's not terrible and is similar to what you described. It has a main storyline and pvp matches
Fpv would've been a good option or dlc

i was just hoping it they would bring out another rpg SOUTH PARK. i loved the last two
I think the game being simple hack and slash is what is going to make it good. I don't like complex games and if this proves to be a simple story driven, fun experience with simple combat mechanics I'm in.

Southpark is a 2D franchise it just doesn’t work in 3D. The town is also one of the main characters.. personally i think it just doesn’t look like South Park in 3d
Saw this review, saw ign....total opposite takes. I dont disagree with ign i liked the more traditional 2d style then 3d. And this feels like a game i would have enjoyed if i was 16. I'm a big south park fan too, so I'll wait for the sales.
This game never had anything to do with the really shallow empty short turn based RPGs.
IGN gave both the stick of Truth and fractured but whole 9 out of 10,

I think the IGN review was a little too bombastic, but this review seemed fair. I already pre-ordered the game, so hopefully the game builds upon itself and gets better in time

No. They made two of them already, the second one was much worse than the first and clearly already ran out of ideas and content. They were both really short and really shallow. Time to move on.

I beat the game in 4 hours and really have no reason to replay missions. It was a short fun and a little funny with the same South Park humor. I just wish the gameplay and lack of content was better. Who would want to replay the same simple spamming square missions and upgrade urself to do the same thing again. 30 bucks for 4 hours is kind of wack. 4/10

I watched a video yesterday saying the game was hated because it’s not what the fans wanted.
I’m not sure what the fans want but any South Park game that allows you to create your own character being a part of that world is cool enough to me.
