- Meet Samsung's two newest smartwatches: the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro.
The regular Watch 5 looks an awful lot like its predecessor, and to be fair Samsung hasn't changed much. But a tougher display, improved build quality, and better battery make this a more durable option - and it packs all the latest tracking options Samsung's developed.
The Watch 5 Pro is a little different: this drops the rotating bezel of last year's Classic model, and instead is focussed on serious runners and athletes. It's even tougher and even longer lasting than the Watch 5, and extra GPS-based running features position this as a rival to the likes of Garmin and Polar.

Thanks for the video. Does the watch 5 still track your runs with gps like my s3 does? It's difficult to find any info on what gps functionality exists on the non-pro model.

@@jgreen2217 I can, and do, appreciate both. But you instantly know you are going to get a biased review of the item they are talking about. In this case, Apple is superior. I tend to trust reviews of those who take the time to at least put the watch on for reference, even if they are apple fans.
This was meant more to help the commentator with his channel. He does a great job, but subtle little changes will help him take this channel and his content further.

Who signed off on that pathetic 5 pro design?
$250 more for what? It's the exact same watch as the other two, they released one active watch in 3 sizes.
What possessed them to sacrifice both looks AND practicality of the rotating bezel for a flat, impractical black finger bezel when the two base models already have the exact same design?
The pro is only an "active" watch, you can't wear it out formally like you could with the watch 1, 3 & 4 classic.
I returned my 4 classic and went back to my 3 because of the battery life, i was waiting for the 5, so disappointing and i'll just have to stick with my 3.
Agreed. I saw it at the samsung store and it's huge!!! But the 5 looks really nice. With the extra battery size, it's the one to go with. The rest of the stuff the 5 pro can do is a software update away. There isn't anything hardware wise the other models don't have
