Thanks for that comment, as it is making me realize perhaps whey there were still so much movement along the Eastern front, even with entrenchment. Just not enough people and too much area. Which is the exact opposite of the Western front!
@@Nangwaya oh yeah, that reminds me back in college I read a book, I don’t remember the title, but it discussed the German occupation program on the Eastern Front where they tried to get professionals like teachers or lawyers to bring about some kind of German acculturation to the areas they controlled. From what I recall it was a little half baked from lack of time and planning (maybe as one could expect given the situation).
@@Corvinuswargaming1444 Thanks for that, I had no idea. I do know that the Russians seemed to like to have "elections" held rather quickly, after they took over areas, such as Tarnopol.
Hi and great to see you! The game I am playing is a highly modified version of the game Der Weltkrieg, which is a hex and counter wargame set during WWI, and was designed by Dave Schroeder. Here is a link to a description of the Der Weltkrieg and the games (modules) that are contained in this series: boardgamegeek.com/boardgamefamily/111/series-der-weltkrieg If someone purchased all the modules, including the Grand Campaign, you could play out the entire War, however, it would take some time! If you are interested in seeing how Der Weltkrieg is played properly, as I certainly do not, then I recommend checking out these: How-to-Play Tannenberg - Introductory Scenario for Der Weltkrieg Meandering Mike ruclips.net/video/Kldk8W2F7BE/видео.html Der Weltkrieg - 1 Introduction. Jezza One ruclips.net/video/A9D-UCA7oJI/видео.html See It Played: Der Weltkrieg - Tannenberg - 1 MJL ruclips.net/video/XM07uboaiTg/видео.html I hope this helps, and Happy Gaming to you!
Thanks for the videos. If you are interested in the system Dad V Son is playing, you might checkout Infantry Attacks as it is the WWI version of the system.
Almost 4 pm...good afternoon.

Really?
I had no idea about Infantry Attacks.
I have one of the modules upstairs!
@@Nangwaya Yes, same core rules with some WWI period changes. You find it a little bit more than Soldiers, but not much.
@@campsawyer I was wondering how it compares to Soldiers.
Thanks again!
