Not the best experience on my end
I get that, but tell them to give me a job. My system has run over a week calculating with no jobs. I have a ryzen 7 with 64gb ram and 4060ti 16gb. I'm about to move on to other things.
I had the same thing on 4090,I already moved to mining again

Man, I had a bitcoin mining channel about 20 years ago. All the other bitcoin youtubers were liars. These days we don't get solid info like Brandon coin. This stuff is refreshing. You can tell he's not trying to game the system for his own benefit lol.
So with all this crap how does this compare to nicehash at the end of the day again? 🤷
My biggest challenge with Salad is it needs an update every other day, so that will kill the score as well. They need to stop pushing updates every 12 hours, its ridiculous

@@brandoncoin I understand that, but every god damn day? Sometimes i'll update then login and it needs another update. This just happened with 1.5.9 and 1.6.0, it was like a 24 hour period and i had 2 updates. It has taken me 3 months to make like $2 because of constant updates or it just doesn't run because it needs an update. This product worked wsay better in its infancy then it does now, and i've been using it since 2020-21?
Everyone should just quit using Salad. You all ruined it. Stick with crypto.
@EvilEng9 not sure what you mean. Salad advertised a service to connect buyers needing AI workloads done to a marketplace of people with the hardware necessary to perform the jobs they need done. A matchmaking service for gig work if you will. The folks at salad simply did not realize that supply of machines would out strip demand for workload. I can't see how you can say people "ruined" anything. A lot of this would stabilize if Salad could attract new clients, the rest will fall out due to attrition. Payouts for container workloads has to beat electricity costs or people will move on. There's no ruining, more qualified candidates have upped the bar for workloads. The companies that rent out the machines do so by the hour. They want fast machines, high reliability, and scalability. Once the influx of new machines settles and attrition of low profitability ends. The platform will boom.

I have upgraded my system from 3070 to 3090 from 32g ram to 64 and my earnings have dropped from $3 to $1.80 and I know it’s because I kept restarting after each upgrade to try get jobs
5-6 days and it's keep calculating ! I send to support and they said that my GPU 3060 TI is not in high demand , it seems that there is no demand at all
I see by this way of working (not enough jobs) it will be useless at most 2 weeks from now
Salad for me is completely waste my time
they should even enhance the mining feature (choose the right coin according to profitability and separate CPU & GPU mining as for now they use both on Randomx algo. !! which is completely wrong) also Salad not using dual CPU it only use 1 CPU which is the half of the power
so at least when no container jobs available then POW will be used

Brandon do u know if the uptime/ reliability score is calculated per computer or per the users account. If its the accout that could be bad
Did the update to 1.6.0 last night... My 3060 rig has not received a single job... My low grade rig is crypto enabled so it's making a little bit not enough for electric costs... Still trying to find a way to buy/barter for a 3090 ti
same thing happens with my 4060ti. But after I have updated to the most recent salad, i finally picked up a job and it seems to be consistent now.
I assume your reliability score can increase after being tainted? Basically how long do the infractions stay on your record. 🤔

Good video! I think you might be using the microphone incorrectly. If I'm not mistaken, that microphone captures audio from its sides, not from the tip. Best regards!

Important note, 4090 sales have gone through the roof. The 4080s and down are getting less jobs now.

@Mooria I'm sorry to hear that. Up until the update, I've been making 12 dollars a day with a 4090 and a 4080. My wife's 4090 has been doing 4-6 a day.
But to be fair her and I have similar builds. 7950x, 64GB 5600 gen 5 nvme 4090 etc etc

As far as the "star chef" goes I have 2 rigs exactly the same but one has been up longer than the other, yet the second seems to get more jobs and after updating the second rig to 1.5.9 I lost the star chef yet it still gets more job than the first that is a star chef.
I hope all the failed container bugs don’t count against your machine
do you think buying a 4060ti 16gb for salad is logical ? I see them getting $4.8 container jobs on the salad discord and my 3060 12gb only gets $1.8 ones

Do not buy single card, better off buying coin and holding. Unless you have cash for major equipment investment and cheap power don't do it. You'll be waiting a while for ROI, especially if the coin ends up not being useful or team hits a snag. You'll have a graphic card. That's a silver lining I guess.

4070/4070ti have been on calculating. Ti I think hit a job @.10c/24H. Idk how to tell if I have a job?
I'm giving up after updating to 1.6.0. Now it says GPU degraded.
Before this I switched to mining and was hitting $2/Day which is what my whole rig of 3)4070s and a 4070ti were hitting on Nicehash OS.
degraded only comes up when u limit your gpu power
@@dogoshicatamoto269 I don't think I ever touched any settings to "limit gpu power." I simply updated to 1.6.0 and mining profits dropped significantly as well as the 4070ti saying "Degraded." As for "container jobs" I have $0 profit since yesterday.
@@dogoshicatamoto269 Update: I updated Nvidia Studio Drivers for the TI I was having trouble with and my GPU is up and running again.. estimated mining about .50/Day
I'll remove the mining setting on Salad as I'm trying to get a container job for more $$$ otherwise it's not worth running up the electric bill on 2 Separate PCs. I'll have to switch back over to mining on NHOS if this fails. As NHOS makes more $$$ FOR the wattage I'm pulling. NHOS isn't great but it's constantly getting that $2+ for 3:4070s/1:4070ti
Meanwhile Salad is pulling Watts waiting for containers. I've been at Salad for 5 days making $0 from containers. $5 from mining
