[FSX] KEY WEST LANDING - STUNNING SCENERY!

- IMPORTANT:
- This video was recorded at a slow simulation speed and sped up again in post process to get a high framerate! (Just to clarify: Flying was of course in realtime but the replay is played back at a slower speed!)
-I won't provide any settings or files. Most tweaks are easy to find on the internet and they should be applied carefully depending on each individual system.
-The video is color corrected externally (no ENB or SweetFX)

SIMULATORS I use:
FSX Boxed SP2 (mainly used for videos until there is a working flight recorder for P3D)
Prepar3D V3.3 (since June 2016, private use for learning)

Scenery: all Orbx FTX products, LatinVFR Key West v2, NewportScenery Key West, Custom Waterclass scenery (I removed parts of the default coral reef around the Florida Keys)
Aircraft: PMDG 737-700
Graphics: REX 4.0, REX Soft Clouds (Set 02), DX10 Scenery Fixer
Weather: Active Sky 2016
Phyiscs: A2A AccuFeel v2

Landing lights and strobes are off for taxi. Nice vid.
Be assured they were set correctly during the original flight. That's just a problem with the recording method.

How do you make your callouts of your radio altimeter much louder? Mine is overcomes by the engines and I don't know how to make them louder
What screen Resolution are you using? looks so clear my pc looks so fuzy to the point were you can't read the gauges

J. Patrick Lindor I used rex simulations and then a custom file set someone created. Looks fantastic.
I didn't see FSX in this title and it took me almost 3 min to realize its a game.

Where did u get the airport scenery
hi, can someone tell me how to reach high altitude without problem durin flight with aerosoft airbus a 319? for example FL370/380 because during the climb when i reach FL290/300 my aircraft start to lose speed until reach the stall speed, my vertical speed standard is almost always 1800ft/min , i start to lose speed at FL280 more or less so i decrease VS from 1800 to 900 but at FL310 with engine at full trhottle (CFM) my aircaft lose speed and stall. I see many video of the same aircraft reach FL380 easy so i don't undersand what is the secret of this guys, i try to reach high altitude also with empty aircraft but no work.

Wow! I have the REX Texture Direct & Soft Cloud, Orbx FTX global, vector, DX10 fixer. Your graphic is so realistic for no reason. I hope my FSX is like yours. Yours is bright and I like it. Camera vibration is also really cool!

Wow, danke! Für mich gibt es auch nichts Schöneres als Fliegen! Und im Simulator kann einem nichts passieren, auch wenn man einmal etwas verzapft. Lieben Gruß aus dem Süden (bzw. schon fast Mitte), Würzburg ;-)
noch ne frage... wie wechselst du deine sichten während des videos ohne zu pausieren und wie schaffst du's dassbunten nicht steht playback?
er benutzt nicht die Standard fsx Replay-funktion sondern ein extra Programm, ich meine fsrecorder. und den Text kannst du mit dem Eintrag "HideInfoText=1" in der fsx.cfg wegmachen

Good morning Fangzahn, as always great vid. In you ADDONS section of description you stated "I removed parts of the default coral reef around the Florida Keys" Why did you remove it. Also what was you departure airport. Thank you for providing such great vid. Big Fan.
This video was made a long time ago...I have no idea where I took off from. It might be Tampa but I'm not sure. The default coral reef was visible almost to the horizon which is very unrealistic, so I created a deep ocean water class in SBuilderX to remove it.

Fangzhan do you slow down the speed by going to the little fsx menu bar and going to simulation speed? And by speeding it up do you use adobe premier for that?
Yes, that's how I did it back in the old FSX days. The process is almost the same for P3D now but I'm using ChasePlane for the replay instead of FSRecorder

If you slow down the replay by 1/4...then you have to speed up the footage 4x (1/2 -> 2x) and so on to get the real time

No! Only the replay is at a slower speed. The flight (and taxiing) was of course in realtime! I just practiced a lot.
May I ask how is your frame perform when you flight? I saw you used a lot addon like very beatiful scenery and DX10 fixer. Did 980Ti good for running smoothly
Depends on the scenery and aircraft. Most of the time it's around 30-40 fps. There was no difference between the 780Ti and the 980Ti.
Wow, 30-40 Fps was enough for me, all right. Thank you for so quick response. You cutoff the AP so early and landing such smoothly, very impressive!
Hand-flying is the best part about flight simulation, that's why I disengage the autopilot early on most flights.

perfekt... wie nimmst du das eigentlich langsamer auf? habs probiert, aber danach spinnen die lichter bei mir (sind dann etwa 5 mal schneller) würde mich über deine antwort freuen.

Das hängt davon ab, ob die Lichter an die Simulationsrate gekoppelt sind. Manche PAPI-Lichter von Addon-Szenerien sind unabhängig und werden durch die Aufnahmemethode im Video schneller dargestellt. Da kann man leider nichts daran ändern.

Ja, mit dem FSRecorder. Einfach das Replay starten und Simulationsgeschwindigkeit reduzieren und mit einem externen Programm den Bildschirm filmen. Ist ziemlich aufwändig und benötigt pro Video auf meinem Kanal 1-2 Tage, bis ich alle Perspektiven komplett aufgenommen habe. Das Fenster ist kein Addon, sondern ein Bild, das ich in After Effects über die Wingview gelegt habe.

I dont have fsrecorder so i wouldnt know but every addon I have has been long since updated for the steam version and it works fine. I definately would reccomend it over the box version

None of these planes exist for FSX. There are only freeware models of these planes. There will be videos about the Aerosoft A330 and the PMDG 747-400 and 747-8 as well as the QualityWings 787 (if the system depth is comparable to a PMDG or Aerosoft product) once they are released!

Flaps 40?!?
What's so strange about it? It's a short runway and the more flaps you put out, the slower your approach speed.
Most all Airlines SOP prohibits full flap landings (except emergencies) only because of the increased chance of damage to the flaps from FOD on the runway.

How Can you run fsx on Windows 10?
Why shouldn't it run? Works perfectly fine.
When I install mine, it comes up with an error 1722 at the one called "Registering Fonts" and then when I cancel the intallation and it says rolling back action i get a error saying: "Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation. Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information."

That's strange. Have you tried running the installer in compatibility mode? (Windows XP/Vista or W7)
