I tried the current EDT and got pretty impressive longevity (at least 8 hours), it did however become a closer scent after the first 1.5 - 2hours (roughly).
I have the 2019 formulation and it lasts +9 hours on skin. On clothes it last +24 hours. It might be the skin pH. On me most fragrances last a long time.

Was there an Opium perfume for women in 1970s or 1980s? I’m looking for this perfume that my classmate’s mom used to wear when I was in grade school and I can’t remember the name. I can’t forget the scent. I can’t stop thinking about it what it could be 😭. The perfume by Jean Paul Gaultier’s Scandal has some notes that I smell that particular scent in it for a few minutes. I’m wondering now what perfumes are similar to that scent from the 80s.
Hello, I wanna ask a question! I have the bottle in 2015, but already use all of it. I miss it, so I bought a new bottle. I think it's a bit different, the new one smell soapy, which I dont think it should be at all. I don't remember it being a soapy fragrance. Am I got a fake one? :'(
Noses are different but I can't see how this is similar to Bracken Man. Bracken Man is a pure photorealistic, very earthy Fougere. Not a sweet spicy Oriental.
I had a 2014 bottle. The longevity was terrible, I only got 2hrs out of it compare to my 1997 bottle which easily surpass 8hrs plus. It's truely disappointing, I would not consider buying the current formulation even if it was going for cheap. Look for late 90s to 2004 bottle would be worthwhile or seek out the EDP.

The late reformulations do not last long. try to find the bottles in the boxes with the golden circle, the Sanofi Beaute bottles which are vintage.

It completely surprises me I wasn't expecting that wonderful smooth alluring elegant also mysterious.
have some of these old opium from decades ago. Nothing like it out there. Fairly fiery, zero-fucks-given perfume.

This smell is so similar to London for men Burberry cologne. Quite exotic and intoxicating.

I feel like the newer it is, the worser it gets from the greatness of the original. I would suggest sampling the EDP version

These "insider warnings" about reformulations are dime a dozen, and usually they are just empty braggery with (inexistent) expertise.
