Okay... one thing I love most about your videos is that you manage to capture the wind sounds without it completely blowing out my ear drums... as a headphone wearer, I super appreciate this. Great video!
I’m afraid of heights so I just force myself on rides. It’s like learning how to swim, someone’s gotta push you in the deep end and say “you’re on your own” 🥃
Kingda ka is an amazing and excellent roller coaster. It's deserved to hold the record of tallest roller coaster in the world for almost 20 years now. Although Dragster is no more, at least we still have this mighty green behemoth to enjoy. Long Live KING DA KA 💚 💙
@@dchang11I sincerely hope not. The dragster redesign is weak. A triple launch is a downgrade from the single 0-120 in like 3-4 seconds in every aspect, it’s just less intense.
Riding this in the front on a hot summers day is insane. The wind and speed in my face made me feel like I was going into another dimension. It’s insane.
I've seen so many videos of this ride, and I recently got to go on it myself. The launch is a lot different than you would expect, that's all I'm gonna say. I also love the people who said "Gotta blast!", I'm definitely doing that next time I go on this.
Used to operate this ride. Literally just 2 green flashing buttons once that train is set for launch. It's cool sitting over the track looking down the launch.
@@alecvip7562 the ride is adversities at going 128 mph but past operators have said they run it slower to save energy. So my guess would be like 100 mph, maybe even into the 90s
If the ride advertises at 128, we leave it at that. It’s capable of it. That’s all that matters. If you work for the park, you should know that technicalities and different statistics are bad for the image of the park. I’d also recommend waiting until you get responses, rather than keep commenting sir!
It wasn't the height that got me, it was the 3 separate zones that accelerate it actually taking my breath away. By the time it reaches max speed your body adjusts and it's like "Okay this is fine" THEN you're almost blacking out on the "uphill portion" and then you're just into the whole thing after the crest. Or you're a lucky duck and get a roll back and get to do it again.
@@TWOhype23 no, no it does not lmao. I have personal experience: at my home park adventuredome, their arrow looper, canyon blaster, is PAINFUL in the front but in the back it’s very smooth + has a better drop.
Hi, firstly, GREAT angle for a rear POV. Beautiful quality, thanks. I made a mistake and chose the back row for my one and only Kingda ride in 2010. I did enjoy the rush but I didn't really get much airtime. I waited 2.5 hours in Summer so... we only had one day there and too many other things to do, and I preferred an extra ride on El Toro (Definitely a back seat coaster if there ever was one lol). I haven't been back to SFGA since then but of course will go back for Jersey Devil at some point and to try get a front seat ride on Kinga. And of course to marathon EL properly. I'll literally buy a flash platinum just so I can max out my day since I'll be alone most likely. I just want to know, do you actually get proper ejector or even sustained floater in the very front seat on Kingda, unlike the back?
I just also want to add, I get zero airtime on Millennium Force in back seat, including the first drop, and zero airtime in the back seat of ride of steel SFA and DL, but I do get some in New England right through on any seat. I am just wondering if it's something with my weirdly long legs at 6 ft4, I am right on the edge of Intamin's max height for those trains, whether it reduces my air time on Intamins. Cause other people DO get back seat airtime on those rides. I get mega airtime on B&M's, for comparison sakes. And the few RMC's I rode.
Why not? At nearly 51 now it's hard to find people willing to travel from Australia to the other end of the world just to do theme parks. I have been travelling every single year alone since 2004, from 1998 through then I did go with friends.@@mexicanguitarist123
I been on this twice. First time in like the second row, second time in the first row. The difference is night and day. I wished I had waited a bit longer the first time for the first row. It is so much better
I was able to get 4 rides on this and can’t even remember going over that airtime hill. Danm near blacked out going into up the tower. It easily fills the void of Dragster being gone.
"arms down, head back, hold on" does not mean "please stick your hands in the air". it means "THERE IS A SERIOUS RISK OF YOUR ARMS SNAPPING AT THE ELBOW"
Theres always a small part of me that gets anxiety that the brakes are going to fail and we're going to whip around that corner and smash into the other train in the station 😂
I ride it at least 50-100 times a year, it hasn’t been down for “repairs” in a while. And when a sensor gets faulty for shooting a car 120mph hundreds of times a day, that’s considered normal.
Can this ride cause whiplash or other neck injuries? I am over 6 feet tall and kind of hesitant to ride. Does anyone know if I will get whiplash from it?
Ya cause it’s shaking like crazy and fast af for me man I hold on haha the car feel like there going to rattle apart this ride is sick but also scary as hell I’ve always get butterflies sitting before launch

*This ride is not as intense as it seems. It was actually really boring and when I went, there wasn’t even a long line by how lame that ride is. Yes, it’s very high-up there, but as the video shows, it’s literally like 30 seconds long and goes by so fast that you can’t even really feel any type of intensity. It literally just feels like you’re in a fast car. The Nitro is way more intense than this ride. I enjoyed the Nitro more. The first drop is great, the second drop isn’t as great, but then the drops after that are just like going up and down a hill in a car. Like, so many rollercoasters do not meet me needs of intensity. The aren’t tall enough. They don’t create more than one massive drop (the drops start getting shorter and shorter)… then they have breaks all over the tracks. Why isn’t there an extremely intense/extreme roller coaster that lasts 10 minutes? Why isn’t there a drop that’s Burj Khalifa high? Like, why does everything have to be so child-friendly? Why does our society make pornography, but it draws the line at making adult rollercoasters? Shit, “El Toro” (which is that wooden coaster next to King Da Ka) is way more intense than King Da Ka. I swear to GOD that King Da Ka is so not phenomenal. It’s been promoted as the tallest coaster ever, but like I said, went by SO FAST that you hardly felt anything except wind blowing in your face. You couldn’t even tell that you’re 400 feet up in the air by how fast it was going. God. “The Hulk” in Universal Studios is way better than King Da Ka. Maybe it’s the scenery. I don’t know. Man, but I did not feel that vertical drop at all. I was expecting it to be extremely intense, but I didn’t feel my stomach come up or butterflies or intensity. That drop was done in like 2 seconds. I was so disappointed.* 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 *I remember it like it was yesterday. I was sitting at the front thinking. “Finally! After all of these years!
