as a software engineer I must say that the "photo reading" thing can not be done in the way you think it should in today's tech, so for the purple to be a better app you need to give it a more info as you add clothes because it totally depends on them when choosing an outfit

I think the pictures are for you as a user so you can find the outfit when they give it to you. It's better than them giving you a description. The app doesn't seem sophisticated enough to read from the picture and photo reading software is too prone to errors so I doubt they'd risk it

Downloaded it just because I noticed how well it did with Saf's clothes and it turns out the app helps, especially if you do not know how to combine elements and it also gives some color combinations that are very nice. you should let this same app pick out an Halloween costume for you. so go to a costume store and take pictures of random tops and pants and make up and wigs and thing and whatever the app suggest and u buy it and where it to a party
this would be really helpful for people with anxiety. when my anxiety is bad i get really stressed about picking nail polish colors, makeup looks, and outfits. so this could help pick out an outfit for you like your mom did when you were 8 and taking too long to pick out your own outfit lol

I downloaded this app and went through my entire closet to see what it thought. It loved the double denim trend from the 1990s and white leggings. I swiped left and right for about 5 mins to attempt to shape around my style. Just like you I made it suggest my outfit it came up with black leggings, a black and white striped cropped top, a denim jacket and a black and white headband. The look was actually really nice but it wasn’t really my style. I’ve gone on to it a few time after, and it does understand me a bit more. The information I put into the app was the color and material and that definitely helped the outfit. Ty for reading this and have a brilliant day xxxxx
I think the picture is more for you. Because once you put in all the info and it tells you, it has to show you which item it's talking about or else you'd have no clue if it simply read all the info back to you that you put into it.

I know I'm 3 years late but I've recently discovered an app called Acloset which can do this (and is a bit stronger overall than the app Safiya is using in this video 😅) so if you are still interested in that you could check it out? I've only used it for a few months and with a very limited closet as I'm living out of a suitcase at the moment but might be worth trying? 😊
