The whole point of the "Devils Never Cry" thing is Dante and Trish acknowledging (or at least claiming) their humanity. If you can cry, then you must not be all Devil, basically. It's not toxic masculinity, because Dante is saying that they must be human to cry - acknowledging that they have both shed tears, and experienced human emotions - the very opposite of burying his emotions, he's embracing them.

5:38 To this day, people still don't understand the meaning of the scene with Alastor. Alastor is a devil weapon that grants lightning speed and flight. So if you pay attention to the cinematic, Dante isn't swinging at random, he's moving so fast and with such precision, not only is he able to avoid striking the glass shards, but he's also performing multiple slashes while the broken glass has yet to hit the ground.

Oh nice to see you play this. One of my favorite series. Though DMC1 is quite dated, and DMC2 wasn't great, 3-5 are really good, especially 3 and 5. Also, in case maybe you didn't quite put it all together: When Mundus said "If you need a mother, I can create as many as you want." He meant that literally. As in, he created Trish. That's why she looks like Dante's mother. Mundus wanted her to lure Dante to the island, so in order to get him to trust her more easily Mundus made her look like Dante's mother. That's why at the end of the scene where Trish and Dante first meet, it shows the broken picture of a woman on the floor. That woman in the picture with long blonde hair is Dante's mother. It's the game's way of foreshadowing the connection that Dante later confirms.
I wasn't a fan of the devil arms in 5. From what i understand dante is playable at some point but i never cared enough to get that far. 3 is definitely my fave.
