You should have started at the beginning of the video - you would found out that she was 8 years old in this performance and that she started singing at age 1 1/2 years old.
What a great performance, Angelina Jordan is a sensation, an incredible singer from a very young age, I love listening to every song she sings. Let me make a suggestion since it looks like you are very open to new talented artists regardless of where they´re from, he´s name is Gabriel Henrique a singer from Brazil and you can start with And I´m telling you I´m not going a Jennifer Hudson cover and check him out in his car singing I wanna know what love is a Mariah Carey cover, this guy is another great super talented artists with some incredible vocal ranges I´m sure you will like. John, FYI, Angelina Jordan Astar was born January 10th in 2006, She practicing singing since age 3 for 36, yes thirty-six hours a week. She herself said in numbers interviews, that she have to sing to the world.

Just For your Information: Angelina has no need of almost never uses autotune. I have listened to every AJ Song and only on the EDM tune "Above the Water" have I Suspected (NOT Proven!) the use of Autotune. In that case it is Possible that an electronic effect Like Autotune was added in Post Production by TDRX.....

John, her poise and confidence even at 8 years old on a visit to the USA from Norway to do this Show explains a lot of what's going on. She sings FOR her audience, not to them. By this time in her life she already had an idea of how her singing affects people and her desire in life is to make make people happy, give them hope and feel the love in her heart. What"!? Yes, incredible for such a young person but it is what it is! Goosebumps, tearing up (or full out crying) and being unable to speak with fluidity during or just after she sings is an indication she has touched your heart with her love and your heart will never let her go. Not only is her voice with soulful tones galore and hints of jazz so out-of-this-world but many people in the industry have regarded her as an artistic genius. Since she was 9 years old she has been covering classic songs in such a way she actually creates a brand new version of the song and I know this may sound like, "No, that's impossible!", but often times her version is better than the original. John, so much more to say but I'll leave you with this. ALL OF HER MUSIC from 7 years old onto the present (she's now 17) is very much worth listening to. As you just heard here you won't be listening to a kid singer. Physically she is a normal young girl but inside of her, well everyone has an opinion and you can come up with one as well. Btw, the soulfulness in her voice literally comes from her soul and converts into love when you hear her sing FOR YOU.
Occasionally the stars align to produce a once in a generation talent. In AJ's case she was fortunate enough to be raised in Norway, a country that protects, appreciates and celebrates their young artists. Just count the times she has performed at Festivals and been featured on Norwegian TV. As an added bonus Norwegians especially appreciate jazz which is AJ's happy place. She grew up in a protective environment that emphasized a normal childhood for her rather than a quick buck. Most important, her grandmother, a child prodigy herself, recognized very early that Angelina was also a talented prodigy and has supported and guided her since the beginning. It has been said that AJ's grandmother, Mery Zamani's most important artistic achievement (of which there are many) has been the nurturing of this unique talent. At her very earliest performances Angelina stated that she wanted to be a superstar to be able to sing to the world. I have no doubt that the girl with "Angel" and "A Star" in her name is well on her way to achieving her goal. Yes, the stars have aligned to create a superstar. Come join her Angels for the ride.

Watching Angelina growing up from when I first found her in 2015 she has been like the U tube toddler, now she is 17 she is the best female vocalist I’ve ever heard and I listen to music every single day, Angelina’s performance here was so amazing she has never been like other kids Angelina has understood her craft from a young age, and this is not just leant majority of this is that you are born with this talent she is a musical genius, and plays guitar violin flute and piano and sings and speaks several languages fluently,( Angelina Jordan Astar ) is a star as her surname suggests, great reaction thanks 🙏

Fly Me To The Moon is sort of Angelina's signature song, she did it more often than any other title, with different arrangements, from just a guitar via jazz and big bands to orchestra. I think there are videos of her doing it on more than 30 occasions, including rehearsals and fragments. I'd recommend you later look on at some she did with jazz bands (2017 concert and newer concerts in that list), and definitely the Quincy Jones 85th birthday concert version with an orchestra. She later mentioned that as being one of her career highlights (she was twelve there).
Great reaction John 👍. It's funny that Angie here a 8 already had better control and skills that most singers that were 2x & 3x her age. She’s 17 now.. Go back to when she was 6 in a sound booth at her school in Norway singing "I who have nothing" made famous by Tom Jones and also Sherly Bassey. Get the one with sub titles. Remember that most kids her age of 6 are still learning there native language Norwegian and it's grammar while learning English and some others at home etc. You will be blown away. This, IMO, is the worst video of this song from Angelina. A much better version I think is the one with the White Horse in the Salt pounds. Maybe it’s just Rosie O’Donnell, I’m not crazy of her personality. She comes across as “Disrespectful” and “Condescending “ toward Angelina. Sorry!
