As an eager amateur, I am trying to develop my own "style." But I am not shy about borrowing (stealing) good ideas, and you've got lots of them. Your toilet roll technique is really powerful. I also have three of your wonderful brushes. They are like no other (the bristle brushes), and you keep showing great ways to use them.
We are so glad to hear that David. Jerry's has a lit of video tips from a number of great artists, check them out here: www.jerrysartarama.com/free-art-instruction-videos/artists-list. Keep watching and keep creating!
So much color! And yet, in the end, the faded blends lend themselves to affect the aged condition, which is the essence of its attraction. I adore watching the way you work, so assured and in control. I want to learn this! Thank you. May God bless your walk of faith with new challenges and vision for excitement and growth.
Thank you ! I have watched this demo several times and enjoy your teaching skills. They are all good and very easy to follow especially your books and videos. Please do some up to date ones!!!!
Will you tell me how i can get that little grass brush you use and what would you advise for paints to start thank you my email is snoball@ metrocast.net thank you
Thank you! So glad your videos have cc. I really wish on all videos, yours and others, that there would be up in the corner, a picture of the finished picture. This would be so much easier to know what we’re trying to accomplish.
Love this barn. Though I couldn’t keep up-by a long shot. 😞 Would be nice if there was a window that shows the painting the entire time up in the corner…? 🤷♀️ Ok….after finishing the painting…I’ve changed my mind! Lol. There is value in painting quickly-don’t pick and fiddle too much. When my painting was dry, I liked it more and more. I next time I might watch once all the way through….then paint along with the video! 👍
Thank you for contacting us Brooke. Sterling uses Burnt Sienna made by Holbein. You can find a full list of the colors that he uses here bit.ly/3sxYOrn
It’s way too fast. And the camera doesn’t stay on the artist’s work long enough…. Frustrating . Beautiful painting and he is certainly very talented and knows what he’s doing. But some of us don’t, and we need a little more time to catch up…. Bleh…
