Thank you for saying thanks. My arms and back were very tired after two hours of trying to stand motionless and capture the show. Knowing it brings happiness to others makes it all worthwhile!! Glad you enjoyed.
It's awesome seeing Eva playing the "Frances" stuff. Sad Juan had his accident. He probably would have been there otherwise, but it's great seeing Eva come back to the fold.
So happy you recorded one of the best shows of all time. Thank you for this! I was on the second floor to the left of the concert, best view and best energy I've ever felt. Purely amazing
So glad you enjoyed the show and can enjoy the video here for years to come. I was located about the same spot as you it sounds - what an amazing night and show!!!
Thank you, out here doing the lord’s work. ❤ I was at this show, I feel like I blacked out at points with how amazing the show was. Great to relive it.
I was right up in the very front left corner. Best show I've ever been to. They've always been a little hit or miss live, but they were absolutely on fire that night. The crowd was super energetic as well.
Perfection! I was at the Philadelphia met concert, and they killed it! I’m so glad to have such high quality audio of their live performance tracks. Thanks a bunch dude
Best jam band ever made the catchiest album ever to show their versatility, I still listen to the new album once a week since all other music sucks anyways. El Paso TX born!
Just found this video lol. Me and my BF went to the first two shows of the tour in Dallas TX and it was fantastic! You could tell they were still getting everything ironed out for their first two shows. I have some of my own recordings and found videos for those shows but their quality isn't the best. This has the best audio and it really helps me relive the fun. Thanks so much for the upload!
I rode my bike from NYC to DC and back and was in DC when this show happened but unfortunately was not at the show. I remember I was listening to a recording of their first show back in 10 years when I was walking around Dupont circle and such and I cried but this show later in the tour was even better. This performance is incredibly good. Cedric's Ian comment made me wonder if Ian was there. I think there is an effort to slightly rearrange the songs without losing the essence of the song so the band is nailing the songs without it being that they nail the exact way they had Juan play or Ikey or any of the great drummers. This line-up is great. The new album is great. I wish there was more music still being made that excites me this much but Omar's volta is it.
Oh hahaha ..I'm really laughing now,,, I was wondering how their sound would evolve with their return, IVE BEEN LISTENING TO PERHAPS THIS WHOLE TIME and.I'm definitely trying to go see one of these shows. This new band reminds me of Perhaps from Boston, either way, this version of Drunkship of Lanterns gets my vote for flawless victory!!! Much love for Washington DC getting this treat, thanks for sharing, MARS VOLTA I WILL ADMIT THE ONLY BAND TO MAKE ME CRY LIKE MY PARENTS CRIED TO THE MUSIC THEY LISTENED TO...GOES FULL CIRCLE...HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE.🤯😂😘😩☠️.
Drove down from Pittsburgh. Wasn’t missing one of the greatest live bands of all time. Thank you for capturing this.
