1 Tbsp Oil i.e. Olive Oil 1 Onion or Shallot 150 g Bacon diced 500 g Mushrooms cut in slices 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste 100 ml Red Wine 250 ml Cream 350 ml Chicken Broth 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce some Salt & Pepper 2 tbsp Corn Starch
This gravy is delish. I eat it on steak, chops, schnitzel, and that's as far as I've gotten so far. I'm sure I'll find something else. Oh yeah, potatoes!
Thanks ,I don't know why its so hard to find Jaeger Snitzel with red hunter sauce anywhere. I have found one picture on Google that looks exactly like what I ate at Tony's Restaurant next to Pioneer kaserne in Hanau. I think your recipe is probably close as I'll find minus the cream .
Don’t like mixing imperial and metric I think all cooking should be in standard imperial measurements. Grams is such a dumb measurement when cups, teaspoon and tablespoon are literally right in your drawers for everyone to see.

Yes! On top of mashed taters!
It looks impeccable, I just wanted to know if we could flambe the red wine instead of just let it reducing.

Gonna try this one tonight, if it's good, i'll subscribe for sure.
I'm sorry, that's gravy....sauce should be semi thick and silky, but it looks delicious.

I am with you on not liking imperial and metric! All measurements should be US! :)
