Huge Thank you to BRUNT for sending me these Marin work boots and supporting the channel! Here's the site if you want to check them out!

Hey Brady! I’m not sure why you don’t have a million subscribers. As a beginner woodworker (more like wood butcherer) I watch a ton of videos to learn from. Yours are the most informative that I’ve run into! Keep it up buddy. Thank you.
Hey Jack! Wow thanks. Really appreciate that comment, keeps me motivated to make more. Thank you!
@@BradyHommel you are definitely deserving of some compensation. Don't give up. Hopefully honest hardworking people like you win in the end.
Yea I dig your channel! Keep up the good work
French cleat walls / storage was brilliant! Thank you
Glad you liked it! Thanks
Just found your channel, loving the videos! Also find it cool that you're also a photographer. I'm a photographer and now getting into woodworking after recently buying some land that came with a nice size shop.
Thanks so much! Yes I actually have more money in photography gear than woodworking equipment haha. I take professional landscape photography.
Your channel is exactly what I’ve been looking for. This video is awesome. I have a 12x20 tuff shed that I’m going to turn into a shop!! Great ideas here, keep it up
Glad your enjoying the channel! Thanks for your comment! And have fun building out your shop! That's the best part!
Concerning heating with wood: I have a detached garage that I use as a wood shop, but my insurance company will not allow any solid fuel heat source as long as it has a garage door. I know a lot of people heat with wood, but for some reason they have an aversion to it. Oil, kerosene, and propane are approved, which does not seem any safer to me, but not wood. I plan to insulate and install a mini-split, which will not take up any floor space. Great design and love the French cleats.
Hmm that's odd. Every looked in to a outdoor wood furnace? That would be awesome! Benefits of heating with wood but takes up no floor space either.... wonder if your insurance company would be good with that?
@@BradyHommel I've considered an outdoor furnace, but I live in a housing development, and some municipalities are outlawing them. For the same price I can install a heat pump and have year round climate control.
Mini split is the way I went. It's great being able to maintain consistent temperature year round.
Cool ideas in your shop! Love the french cleat idea!!
Thank you! Glad to hear that!
Love this layout. Just added a pole barn on the front of my old detached garage which is my current makeshift woodshop, about the same size as yours. I think this layout is perfect for my space. Will likely be making it into a near replica of yours. Looks very efficient and practical. Nice work.
Awesome to hear! This layout has been working great! Glad it was helpful to you! Have fun building out your shop!
Found this very helpful. Great tips. I'm not full time but do a lot of hobby projects and handyman carpentry stuff. I have a smaller garage but gonna use a similar layout and use your tricks.
So glad it was helpful to you! Thanks for leaving a comment.
Nice space. I like the layout.
Awesome walk through! I'm sold on the french cleat setup.
The best!
Great tips on the shop and photography 👌👌👌👌
Thank you!
Hals Wood Shop. Well planned space. after 4 moves I am in Shop 6 amd you did well planning set up and use. one space I had was so small I had my planer set up at the end of my miter saw bed sp that was outfeed table. Looking forward to more. Best wishes.
Thanks a lot Hal!
You are like me, fast thinker, smart worker! I will try to make my shop functional at least half of yours, because yours is WAY AWE!
Awesome shop, Thanks bro!
Glad you liked it Eric. Thank you for your comment!
You’re pretty awesome Brady!
Really appreciate that. Thank you!
Brady could you make a video of how and what you’ve done for your rigid jointer to make it moveable? Not seen a base like that and would like to make one for mine. Same jointer.
Great setup. Working on getting a shop setup in my garage.
Thanks a lot! Hope you got some tips!
GENIUS
Thanks a lot Frank!
Regarding dust collection, check out magport couplings if you bounce between your jointer and planer. Very convenient compared to standard vent clamps
Was just looking at them after reading this. Thanks a lot for this comment. Those look awesome!
nice tour and shop
Appreciate that. Thank you!
Screws french cleat into fan: *Guy all happy his organizing is going great* *Horray!!!* *Cheers of joy*
*Months later*
Turns fan on: *Nothing*
Guy who screws french cleat into fan: "Ohhhhhh shi***"
lol magine
nice shop, How do you like your wen bandsaw? Been looking at bands, just not sure which one to get. Would like a 14 inc but they are pricey
Great job, Brady, and you’re funny too.
Thanks so much!
I’m in Geneva Wtf! Loved the engagement video! I’d you come to Geneva let me know!!!!
Nice!
Thanks!
great video brady, just one thing since it is a attached garage, are your big power tools, tablesaw ect. too noisey for your house??? work safe and stay cool
I have the same table saw. What model Bosch router table did you purchase that fits perfectly in the table saw? Thanks.
Hi Pat, I have just linked the exact one i purchased in the description. It comes with the plastic base but i just got rid of that and used the cast aluminum top. hope that helps. it works out great and saves a ton of space!
I was thinking of buying that model but due to space (it would take up roughly half the width of my garage according to the specs). Was thinking of going with the bench top model instead, again it's purely for space but it's also like 400 dollars less last I checked. And still has the sturdy fence as far as I can tell.
@@BradyHommel thank you so much for this!
garage is not small by any means. your shop is awesome though. I see your HF tools because i have the same and really appreciate it when someone is not afraid of HF instead of going rockler everything yknow.
Thanks!! I don't mind a few things from harbor freight. But there are definetly some I will not touch from there.
@@BradyHommel same!
Brad, what model is your table saw?
Hey Bill. It is the delta. Model number 36-725 T2. I got it from Lowes
Add a dry erase board
What for? Honest question. Interested to hear what you would use it for.
Want me to take that laser engraver off your hands? Haha I want one so badly but they are a bit expensive
Haha. I Still use it here and there but nowhere near the amount I thought I would. There is definetly money to be made with them tho.
That's not small. I have 18' x 13.5'. I'd take your space anyday.
is your shop heated?
Yes. It's towards the end of the video.
It makes me feel dumb that I don't understand the utility of the french cleats especially when the whole wall is sheated with plywood. It seems way longer than screwing things to the wall directly.
Hmmm... Not so small at about 400sqft. Mine is 142. Just sayin'
