I frankly didn't really expect that Kislev would have access to creatures that are essentially beastmen like this, though obvious it appears to be more relating to the hag witches. A bit of Whiplash honestly. Was kinda hoping we help fill out the Bear cult with kostaltyn and lay out the supposed civil war brewing between the Orthodoxy and the Kislivite government. However this is still intriguing and hopefully they show us more.

@@robosoldier11 The "Leshi"-style monster is a Greater Elemental of the Wind of Beasts, it doesn't really have anything to do with beastmen lorewise, although the visuals can trick you.

I was really pleasantly suprised. I didnt think i would really like to buy this one because i really dont care about human factions, i only like Kislev because Im Slavic but i really dont like their playstyle currently. My favorite faction Is Chaos but funnily enough Tzeentch Is my least favorite. After this trailer i really dont know who to play first. It looks insanely good! CA knows how to do a trailer.

25$ for a race DLC was already insane. 25$ for a DLC that doesn't event contain a new race, but only some legendary lords for existing races and a few new units is absolutely nuts. The DLC policy is getting worse and worse.

At this price point I'm going to have to wait for a complete edition to pick up the rest of the DLCs. They've just priced me out. Fortunately there is no shortage of other games right now that are actually worth the money. I can wait for a 75% off sale.

I tried to warn people when they paid this exorbitant price for Chaos dwarves, that if they supported it, it'd be here to stay.
And here we are. If you want the DLC that equates to maybe 5% of the base game content, you have to pay nearly 50% of the base games price.
Makes me sad, Total war was by far my most played franchise on PC. But its no longer sustainable.

When Cathay was first introduced (super civilised and dragony) I was deeply sceptical, it seemed to be treading too hard on elvish toes (my toes), but I think CA have done a fantastic job. I might still have some small misgivings about how Cathay sits in the lore, but I think that to a large extent they seem to fit remarkably well, it feels like Warhammer, I can believe it is Warhammer, and that's the important thing. This trailer shows things which seem to fit into that world (perhaps the best post-Tolkien fantasy world), certainly a darn sight more believable than 'The End Times'.
What the authors of 'The End Times' seemed to forget, is that a fantasy world, although it may be fanciful, must still be coherent to be compelling, just like any artistic invention (unless it is entirely postmodern - in which case it might not be art at all) it must make internal sense, we must be able to believe in it. CA seem to believe in the world of Warhammer, and I thank them for that belief.
I love em because they bring a lot of Wuxia elements into an otherwise western fantasy setting.

Man, here in my country the DLC is like 100 freaking bucks WTF CA !? I understand Chaos Dwarf in the other one for the price. New race and all. But DAAM this price for just three factions and some units really ?!
For a price same as forge of the chaos dwarfs there should be equal amount of new units and a new lore of magic. I always love new content but there should be more content in the DLC or lower the price because now it looks ridiculous
I'll bet you the DLC will stay pricey as a not-so-subtle way of hedging their bets with Pharaoh Total War. Total Warhammer has been paying handsomely for some time, while Pharaoh is another gamble for them at this point. With Troy and Britannia not doing so well in the past, I'll bet they are nervous. And especially with Three Kingdoms failing to keep its feet under itself.
Yeah the price seems high, and there's a ton of competition with multiple major game releases in this DLC's release window. I may have to skip this one for a few months just due to a lack of time to play.
I thougt maybe 15€ but 25€ is too expensive for me. Nurgel maybe but this one nah (maybe sale) price increase is okay but 2(+)x the price of old lord packs for a few more units. MY OPINION but hopefully people still buy dlcs and have fun.
They cant throw new lores of magic, the setting can provide just so much and once they introduce all, there will be no more.

Im a little upset we didn’t see the chicken house, I hope that will still be a thing and hasn’t been retconned too, same goes for the lore of hags, with the two things making Kislevs side iconic, I’d be very remiss to hear that both are going to be a no show, especially since 1 of the new Kislev units aren’t exclusive to the faction but rather the lore of beasts wielders, that being said it feels as if Kislev’s side of this dlc kinda just got glossed over, with more emphasis put on the conflict between Cathay and Tzeetch with the later getting the bulk of the content what with the iconic units and not 1 but 2 additional free LC.
Warhammer lore takes inspiration from real-life history and myths, but never copies them completely. In a recent video, Andy Law, one of the writers for the Kislev lore, said that they purposely didn't copy the Baba Yaga tale with the chicken house, they only took some inspiration. This is how all Warhammer lore is done.
@@LordEsel88 I get that and that’s why the chicken house is the least of the problem, the fact they aren’t incorporating the lore of hags is just ridiculous, and imo only would’ve added to justification for the price of the dlc, it makes no sense to not incorporate it, as for the incarnate of beasts chosen over the wicker man is just personal preference, but you gotta admit it would’ve made a much better addition.

Great trailer! Great content! But the price is way too high for a Lord Pack. Do not rely on the inflation as an excuse, CA.
Additions look amazing, but if this is just a lord pack then there's few excuses for the 25$ price tag. That's as much as the last DLC which added a new faction, new mechanics, new intrigue, and the slew of new units and spells that follow suit.

the changeling has the possibility of making diplomacy ultra important by playing on the fact that he takes on the appearance of the other legendary lords I hope it will be successful at this level otherwise there is not too much interest in have it added
the Changeling forms will just give him the lord's stats, I don't think the shape will change the way diplomacy works
Can you fix the major bugs in Thrones of Britannia first? Randomly changing estate bonuses for generals/governors + army defending a village spawning outside of the village and the attackers spawning in the village on the battle map.
Ok this is a little off topic but when the rangers are telling mother ostankya about the ice witch burning the shrine she look sad for a moment and that one second of animation was really good at portraying emotion on a 3d character

That's a Mutalith Vortex Beast, Khorne has something similar but way more muscle and horned.

You guys need to make an RPG in this universe like the witcher/skyrim/eldenring etc. It would sell like hotcakes.
Y'know, they did that, once. It was pen and paper but it also had a drinking stat so it looked pretty good.
With BG3 release I would love for Larian to tackle Warhammer Fantasy, or maybe Owlcat after their Rogue Trader. Im up for Warhammer RPG coming into CRPG world.

The issue with having 3 lords in a pack locked behind 25 dollars is that I’m only interested in one of these factions. I want to play Tzeentch, but I don’t want to waste money on cathay and kislev, which I never play. 3 lords for 25 bucks is just too expensive.

Agreed, Im not remotely interested in getting more chaos stuff, I just want cathay and kislev, but Cathay barely gets anything because its crammed in there with 2 other factions. Also the price is stupidly high.
$25 is absolutely ridiculous for what is offered. Lord Packs in game 2 offered MORE for less money. The Twisted and the Twilight and the FLC that released alongside it offered the same amount of Legendary lords and Legendary heroes, more generic lords and heroes, and only 3 less units for $10. This price increase is absurd and unjustified. I will not be purchasing this on launch, despite my devotion to the franchise.

What you're hoping for is the Kurgan and Hung to be introduced. Technically their factions already exist, but the game categorizes them all into one group of "Norsca" and really it should just be "Northmen". The Kurgans are the Kul, Dolgan, Khazags, and obviously many others including the rogue army that spawns. The Hung are the guys that stretch from the Great Eastern Steppes across the Ironfrost Glacier and all the way through Naggaroth's northern border. Technically the dark elves should see the "asian" marauders as well since the Mung, Aghol, etc. tribes are Hung and not Norscans/Kurgans. Then there's the Tong which are the guys west of Archaon. They're technically a fourth northman faction mostly comprised of the humans that live closest to the northern polar gates. Tong are often mutated and they're so frightening that they even scare Norscans and Kurgans and make them look like Empire men in comparison.

I like the trailer and i will like the dlc but i want to point out to CA that you promised last dls that the price was that because it was a full race that required lots of work and i accept that, now u just added units and lords and the price is the same ,thats 1 promise u didnt keep and it seems greedy epsecially for some countrys that they cant easily give the 23 euros!

Out of all the outstanding things in this trailer, my favorite thing might be the way the fire flies from the Changeling's hand to the shrine at the beginning. It's just so quick, but smooth and graceful.

Some interesting units but the price tag is just goofy for what this DLC is offering. It's the same price as the Chaos Dwarf DLC which brought an entire new race and roster into the game. Probably the first DLC I will not be getting at least until next summer sale, not an issue of money for me but just the principle of charging more for less.
