Kind of funny they made such a badass trailer for a relatively minor patch. I know it's a big deal for Immortal Empires to be available for all WH3 players but this seems like the kind of trailer one would save for their 3.0 patch.
I love how Franz never actually says that these other leader’s choices are incorrect, rather in that rousing speech reminds them of what’s at stake, and make sure that what they’re choosing to do will not only affect themselves. It takes a hero to fight the monsters, but a leader to unite the world. What an absolute chad.

This trailer is not only a celebration of three games worth of Total War: Warhammer. It's a celebration of Warhammer Fantasy in its entirety, and the decades-worth of stories, characters, and lands that so many fell in love with.
It's a thank you, a love letter to fans both new and old, and the keeping of a promise made with the very first game's release: That this trilogy will be the greatest, most definitive presentation of Warhammer Fantasy.

@@SamuraiMorshu In the Battle of Thraag, Grombrindal slew 10 000 CHaos warriors alone. In the lore he is basically a demi-god and probably immortal.
This whole trailer was beautiful. So many shots that can easily become artwork or posters, from all of the shots of Chaos Daemons and Archaeon, to Gotrek and Felix vs Skarbrand, the Bretonnian charge, Grombindal and Tyrion, Zhao Ming and Gelt vs Queek, and even Tzarina Katarin and Karl Franz vs Chaos Undivided.
This is what Warhammer has always looked like to me and so many others
The Emperor and the Tzarina side by side was just an incredible moment. Karl Franz owns this trailer and that moment with Katarin was just the cherry on top.
You know after the skub of the Endtimes, I never thought fantasy would get a total war game.

To cause such an upset at a meeting called by the rightful wielder of Ghal Maraz, and heir to Sigmar, friend of Dwarfs... Grudgebearer's risking adding his own name to the Book.

He doesn't look Franz in the eye when Franz suggests an alliance, instead he looks down like what he needed to say was going to hurt. Teclis' poor choice of words was just a much needed excuse.
@@goatcheezius2399 Dwarfs are always 100% all in on their oaths, but they’re still people. He was sworn to hold a grudge with the elves, but he also was sworn to back up the heirs of Sigmar, so Thorgrim’s in a bit of a catch 22 situation.
Also, it’s nothing but headcanon on my part, but I like to believe that Thorgrim genuinely likes and respects Franz the same way Kurgan Ironbeard respected Sigmar.
Dropped a tear when EVEN wood elves and lizardmen got together and sent a flow of monsters and creatures out of the woods.
Both being such isolationists and imo particularly hostile to other factions for rather order aligned factions, it felt like the world was screaming so loud even they put themselves in danger to push back chaos.
Also the trailer is making me want order to win but the end times exist :(
The end times NEVER EXIST.
CA specifically stated that the Total War Warhammer universe WASN'T set in the same timeline of End Times. So the ending is "open" in their universe. Order tide ftw.

I have lost count over how many times I rewatched this
I watched the end where the Hippogryph did this roar at the end like 100 times
I keep coming back to this trailer. I can't help it. It's so well made. Karl Franz holds a meeting with leaders of various races proposing an alliance against the Forces of Chaos and other enemies. When the leaders start arguing with each other and the meeting falls apart, the Emperor of Man manages to get their attention and gives a rousing speech to unite them. Of course, the battles shown here are amazing. You really get the feel of how devastating these threats are, especially the Forces of Chaos. I thought it was beautiful to not only see the Forces of Order fighting back, but to see them fighting together to save their world. What other trailer can top this level of awesomeness?
And i love how the tomb kings are considered part of it, they weren't at the meeting but they ride all the same

There’s something so inherently awesome seeing all the legendary lords of order huddled around a table. It’s unreal
Because it so rarely happens in the lore. And even when the different Order Factions do come together it’s usually the leaders that just send emissaries to a meeting spot rather than going themselves

@@MrMarvel1991 Teclis is the more diplomatic of the brothers. Tyrion is, like most elves, extremely arrogant and violent and would only agitate the dwarves more than they already were.

@@MrMarvel1991 Finubar, not Tyrion. Finubar (and Allarielle as Queen) is the current ruler of the the Asur. But he’s more a scholar and explorer than he is a Tactician or Fighter (tho he’s not lacking either). Tyrion is his best friend and a Masterful general and fighter hence why he leads the main high elf faction in the campaign
This... This brings a tear to my eye. Seeing so many legends, so many characters fighting side by side... Gelt and Zhao ming, Grombrindal and Tyrion, Archaon, Sigvald and Daniel standing side by side. All of these alliances, all those leaders. And Karl Franz giving us once more hope to a doomed world.
It's all I've ever dreamed of seeing from Warhammer Fantasy. And Total war delivered.

Kholek isnt with the rest of the Chaos Lords because they know his model is small, and the real one wouldnt fit to the screen.
The fact that they actually listened to the community and made immortal empires free without needing to purchase the first two games is a love statement to the players.
That decision is such a massive win, it definitely warranted a trailer of this caliber to go along with it. Hopefully this will mark the beginning of an amazing year of Warhammer
I’m new to this so I can play total war hammer 3 immortal empires and not have to purchase the first two games to have those units from the first two games ? How about dlcs?
@@justchrisgaming173 Before patch 2.4, owning Warhammer 1 and Warhammer 2 was a requirement to play the Immortal Empires map in the first place.
Now you can play the Immortal Empires map just by owning Warhammer 3. You'll have access to the Warhammer 3 races that you own, as well as the free faction Bretonnia.
You'll still need to buy the previous games in order to have access to their corresponding factions, and the same goes for DLC.
But where you previously had to own Warhammer 2 in order to purchase the Prophet and the Warlord DLC, or Warhammer 1 in order to buy the King and the Warlord DLC, you're now able to buy that DLC regardless of whether or not you own those previous main games.
Furthermore, you'll gain access to all free content tied to every faction where you own at least 1 legendary lord. So, for example, by purchasing the King and the Warlord DLC you'll not only unlock the Dwarf lord Belegar Ironhammer and the Greenskin lord Skarsnik; you'll also unlock three additional lords in the form of Thorek Ironbrow, Grombrindal and Wurrzag.
Alternatively, by purchasing the Prophet and the Warlord DLC, you'll unlock Tehenhauin and Ikit Claw, as well as the free lords Tiktaq'to, Gor Rok and Tretch Craventail.
DLC and the older games go on sale fairly often, sometimes with quite deep discounts, so I would recommend keeping an eye out. The Fanatical store currently has a 20 % sale on pretty much everything, and many of the Total War: Warhammer youtubers have referral links to that site if you're interested in supporting them.

Honestly I was impressed by just seeing the council and all the moments of lords together, but GELT apparently taking a vacation to Cathay to say hi to the alchemists and their gunpowder made me smile like an idiot.

In true colonial fashion, the empire is everywhere but the empire itself. I'd at least appreciate a sneaky +10 or +15 to relations if you play as the Golden Order and ever meet the northern provinces, given his buffs to alchemists.

The trailer is truly a love letter to not only Warhammer Fantasy fans but to Total War historical fans like myself who discovered Warhammer or were introduced to it through the Warhammer Total War games. I am now reading Warhammer Fantasy books and watching lore videos and just trying to fathom how amazing this Universe is regarding Warhammer Fantasy. The emotion of this trailer from the subsiding of old grudges to higher need of order and light amid an endless darkness is really emotional. What really hit me aside from the Cavalry charge of Louen and other Bretonian heroes and Knights charging a numberless foe to the back-to-back for Grombrindal and Tyrion, Gotrek and Felix standing against Skarbrand but mostly (For me) seeing those signature Sharp Mountains in the East of Kislev and knowing that Chaos is pouring over into their lands but that the Empire is right there with lines of steam tanks and artillery fighting side by side with their long standing allies to hold back that which would devour the world. Beautiful really.

Seeing Gotrek and Felix facing down Skarbrand and two additional bloodthirsters was an amazing shot, first time I thought it was only Skarbrand but it was him with two more Bloodthirsters, that was probably my favorite shot in the whole trailer
It looked like a ridiculously unfair fight at first pass, but adding the two Bloodthirsters might actually give Skarbrand a chance to avoid humiliation.

Love that all the order people are arguing about what to do except the Lizardmen. My boys are just out there wrecking chaos, no questions asked like the Gigachads they are

An entire diplomatic delegation of the old world shows up and speaks to them. They ignore every single word,
Then consult a 10,000 year old stone calendar, then look at the stars, then back at the diplomats and say
"Ok we wont kill you today"
"It's a day ending in 'fuckin chaos is still around' so there's only one very violent thing for it"
I also noticed that Kislev and Cathay started leaving the second they saw the bickering unfold. With both of them being on the front lines of any Chaos incursion, they know they don't have the time for this nonsense.

For 30+ years I have been a fan on Warhammer fantasy, and read nearly all the lore, and this just hits me in the feels. To see them all come to life. Well done CA, well done.

That's like the greatest Trailer in history of Total War. And for the First time imo it shows the sheer epicness of Warhammer with the right pictures, music and everything else. Love.

Gotrek and Felix staring down Skarbrand and the blood thirsters went hard. So same with Lord Mazdamundi staring down Kugath. Wulfrik pulling his sword out of the Terracotta Sentinel and letting out that brutal war cry sent shivers down my spine.
Gotrek vs Skarbrand. A slayer and a blood thirster. A warrior looking for a valiant death and one of the greatest evils to rid the world of and one of the most brutal and dangerous monsters in the lands between. A glorious battle to be told. Maybe a fitting end to one who took the slayer oath or yet another great evil to be slain
Mazdamundi vs Kugath. The proud, mighty lizardmen vs the bearers of plague embodied. Ironic since they had so much trouble dealing with the skaven of clan Pestilens. A fitting way to end and eradicate all semblance of plague from their homeland once and for all.
Wulfrik tearing apart Cathay is so well shown when he is removing his sword from a killing blow of a Terracotta sentinel amongst other things he might’ve slain and letting out a mighty war cry shows how much of a monster slayer he is

This trailer is just amazing! Everything about it is perfect! I've watched it plenty of times already and will keep coming back to it. The tension, the clear divides between races. The emperor! The one person trying to unite all the divided factions against the dark! Goosebumps when he slams the hammer down. The build up for all the battles, finally seeing them standing together was fantastic! I want more like this. I would love a full film set around this alliance fighting for the whole world against the forces of evil!

Damn, this is the BEST Total War Trailer ever. Seeing all Lords and Heroes fighting together/against each others is so freaking Epic. Gromgindal and Tyrion fighting Dark Elves and Skaven togethere, back to back, god damn. And the Helstorm Rocket Battery and the Fire Rain rocket toghether is a such a sight.

Lizardmen and Wood Elves were not at the meeting because they were actually FIGHTING the bad guys instead of coffee breaking
So were Tyrion, Grombrindal and the whole of Bretonnia... its just that the Lizardmen and the Wood Elves are pretty much impossible diplomacy partners. But they do count as staunch order allies.

That shot of Skarbrand with the weight of his steps with the other bloodthirsters was the most menacing part of the trailer for me. Amazing!

What I love about this is while Franz is the Emperor he is also just a man with a powerful magic hammer. In the council sits ageless elves, powerful spellcasters, dwarves of great stature, knights imbued with the magic of the fey, and literal dragon emperors yet they all heed Franz. Some real Steve Rogers at Endgame right there

Franz is actually almost certainly the most politically powerful person in the world (that isn't evil). Thorgrim is very much so focused on Dwarfs and a legendary diplomat (for a Dwarf) because he's willing to acknowledge some grudges aren't realistic, Finubar pretty much peaked before he was king and spends most of his time studying if not travelling, Alarielle is the real power and isn't technically supposed to be so at most she encourages relations with Wood Elves, people barely meet with Cathay.

A pity that Kurt Helborg and Lugwig Schwartzhelm were never officially added to the game as their presence here would be incredible. But nevertheless this was amazing! Wish we got a story mode that centred on this, have a choice to play as the Order or Chaos alliances, and every mission would be a new battle as you played one or two of the factions and each mission being interconnected with animated cutscenes! Seeing the banter between the faction leaders and/or the champions and heroes of them as they learn and grow. Now that would be epic.
The guys who put these trailers together deserve a raise lmao
This feels like centuries of conflicts coming to a head.
There is also, a certain romantic nostalgia to it. Decades of infighting among deeply flawed nations put an end through the threat of a villainous invader in the form of Chaos and the solidarity that only Franz's warhammer could mould.
Heres hoping this is ends better than the actual end times.
I really do hope this is the end/peak. I love what TW build here but damn I want a Worldwide medieval 2 from japan to europe and africa/americas

I like the transition from the High King to Archeon. Thorgrim says there will be no alliance ONLY A RECKONING! and Archeon's one of the most memorable line is THERE WILL BE A REACKONING!

Couldn't agree more. It makes me wish that the game recognised moments like these somehow. Yes you can do diplomacy and alliances but it's all menus. Doesn't feel as "epic" as this. All those people gathered round the table... omggg

What a tribute to all the tens of thousands of wargamers, developers, hobbyists, painters and gamers who have enjoyed WHFB for 40 years, whose world was put to an end and who now have one of the most massive gaming experiences realized. It's an achievement for CA, for GW, for the community and for Warhammer.
Man I think the guys and gals at CA might have been also very salty at the endtimes, considering how much effort has gone into total warhammer.

You know getting the voice actors all in to voice this (especially franz, I wish that man had more lines) it so freaking cool. There is so much potential for using your guy's models for videos and cut scenes.

@@tonitapola7811 Nah, I have not seen it happen in the beta version of Immortal Empires that has been before this new patch. Ordertide is just what we call all the factions for order when they ally in the game. Sound way better than the Council Of Light(which is what an alliance of Dwarves, Elves and humans was called in the lore once, back when Franz had barely sat on the throne for a year). This is way after that from the looks of it, since Cathay and Kislev was not part of the Council Of Light

Where we are today was beyond the imagination of a Warhammer fan a few years ago. To see our hobby come to life like this is incredible and beyond what we could have dreamed of. Amazing work guys.
The cool thing is also how moddable it is like - oh you want something closer to the tabletop? Lets see.
But it wont stop there many mods add entirely custom races, animations or mechanics in as well

(Also as someone who has played TT since 2004, yes it’s expensive but not even comparable to how it used to be…)

This was the most amazing trailer I've seen for a fantasy game. I actually cried tears over how well done it is. Absolutely amazing CA!
I cannot express how much I love the sight of the various characters of the Warhammer world together, whether paired up or in contrast to each other.
I got teary eyed about it for sure. And damn, yes, it reminded me of my very first TW: Warhammer 2 game as Repanse where through some odd fluke of luck I ended up throughout the game in a tightly knit alliance with Imrik. I struggled at the beginning quite a lot, not knowing exactly how to deal with Settra's constructs and lost several armies, but then Imrik joined the war and drew enough attention away from me that I was able to bounce back. Later Ultuan was overrun by Dark Elves. So I put with Repanse and her army to the sea to help, only to get attacked by one of the big pirate fleets I thought were neutral. I retreated, the pirates followed... and then next turn Imrik somehow came swooping in, taking on the pirates alongside my army in a double battle! We Repanse and Imrik then landed in Ulthuan side by side and rolled up the continent together. It was so extremely epic! Never again had the AI work so flawlessly together with me and had quite a lot of fun imagining the two and later Tyrion having war councils and organizing the liberation campaign, with Tyrion naturally being baffled about how a human of all people manages to get along so well with Imrik.
(I also find it fun that his diplomacy quotes even make him mention that I finds Bretonnians somewhat more sufferable than other humans)
This trailer feels like a movie trailer. That was so epic and emotional. Now I must make a campaign with 4 vs 4 players chaos vs light.

This trailer was absolutely beautiful. And the chaos dwarves tease at the end. Just pure perfection. I'd love a TV show set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. If done right could definitely be the best out there.

Warhammer fantasy does have a lot of potential for a good median in so far as a show is concerned or a movie. But frankly given the age of hit or miss media adaptations I’d rather just leave it where it is. Who knows maybe Henry cavils 40k show will turn our great.
In this day and age it cannot be done right. They prove this again and again. Give it another 15-20 years and things will hopefully change.
