For real, I was trying to play Mario 64 earlier today, and it was so infuriating trying to walk across the plank at the top of wet dry world thanks to the drift...
I agree with that, but we can’t exactly pretend that there weren’t any problems during the Reggie years. A lot of the Smash 4 and RUclips controversies happened during that era. Not saying he was directly responsible for them, I’m just saying he didn’t make the company perfect.

theres plenty of third party controllers that arent expensive at all, if you can afford multiple games and a $300 console i think you can get a $15 wired controller. Just saying, its a problem, but it shouldn't be such a big problem that you cant even select a game. Also, Nintendo never said that. They acknowledge that joycon drift exists just dont want to do anything about it because that costs money.
Nintendo never denied the existence of joycon drift, that came from a random Redditor that you were too gullible to believe. Nintendo’s president even publicly acknowledged and apologized joycon drift. Don’t believe everything you see or hear on the internet.
I don't have a switch yet, but I have experienced some drift with my gamecube controller, and yeah, it's annoying as hell. It's repairable on the gamecube tho, but not on the switch's joy cons, so just imagining the fact that it isn't repairable for the joy cons infuriates me.

But it's never been proven that Nintendo actually said that condraft wasn't a problem though? The guys who are sueing Nintendo just stated that it seems Nintendo don't think it's a problem as they meant more about the fact that Nintendo has never gone on record to acknowledge the underlying problem of condrift and actually try to fix their controllers, basically making it seem like they don't care, but Nintendo has never straight out said it theirselves that they don't think it's a problem, it's such a huge misconception because the news journalists failed to read between the lines of what those guys actually meant. Now, the fact Nintendo aren't addressing the problem and trying to fix it like they should is still stupid, but let's not put words into people's mouth without actual evidences to back it up, because that's how misinformation is spread.
Sega may make debateably worse games but man do they make great business practices (hiring fans to make Sonic Mania). Nintendo could learn a lot from them.
The only reason sonic mania was developed by Whitehead is cause we’d bitch if it wasn’t. The ports were excellently done by them, mad respect. But sonic team doesn’t know what they want to do with modern games. That, bundled with the fact that SEGA has so many dormant IPs that don’t get a chance to shine (NiGHTS, CrazyTaxi, an actual monkey ball game cause banana blitz doesn’t exist, etc) only damn them further
Metal Gear Solid: sell a collection of all the games in the franchise up to that point with an artbook and actual visual novels of the first two Solid games for $50 bucks Mario: Has the first three games with the only additional content is the music player sold for $60 bucks for a limited release
He did seem irritated to me in the reveal video at first, but I don't think he was against Steve at all - probably initially hesitant, sure, but he agreed to it, and he clearly enjoys Minecraft a lot if he's mapping out a huge chunk of the End in a world of his (seen during the initial reveal). That takes serious dedication. But I wouldn't be surprised if he feels at least somewhat fed up with Nintendo

@Rayaan Syed can somewhat confirm. If you’re trying to transfer mons to swsh, then absolutely, as that system is needlessly complicated and forces you to choose between a weeks wait and $10 if you run out of “transfer energy” (something you can burn through very quickly if you’re transferring things like shinies and/or legendaries/mythicals. To transfer a shiny legendary completely drains all the energy iirc, and same thing for transferring 5 shinies or L/M’s.) TL;DR: transferring to the main games is monetized 5 ways to Sunday and a generally unpleasant experience
@Rayaan Syed pretty much, either that or grind for the currency, which ends up taking more time than just letting the timer tick down (~20 days for the grind if my math is correct)

@@Klonoahedgehog The only 3D Pokemon games I like are oras and ultra sun/moon. But even then oras is so easy at points that I get bored, and ultra sun/moon has the very long cutscenes that makes replaying them very tedious. But yeah, for the most part, I’ll stick to gen 4 and 5 thank you very much.
Sword and Shield were fine though. The mechanics are incredibly solid, the characters are great, and the DLC is absolutely outstanding and quite cheap compared to buying a third version, which they used to do all the time and no one complained. The story was indeed crap, but Pokemon stories rarely if ever are any good, and the gameplay is outstanding, especially the DLC & the Crown Tundra. The graphics also aren't nearly as bad as people say. It's basically just an upscaled sun and moon, which isn't too bad for me since I only play in handheld mode (I have a Switch lite) and graphics are of little concern to me if the gameplay is good. Also, about Dexit. While playing the game you never notice that certain Pokemon are missing until you start using home and realize you can't transfer all your mons. That's pretty depressing but some of the removals were actually really good as Hidden Power was a massive pain and friendship was made far too complex in Gen 6 onwards. Sword and Shield are far better than USUM and X and Y by far even without DLC, and with DLC it's one of the best, being beat out only by Black and White 2, ORAS, and HGSS. I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but that's my opinion and I stand by it. Not sure what caused the Pokemon fanbase to get so hateful all of a sudden especially compared to what happened with Let's Go and GO in general, the over-abundance of scummy mobile games, Ultra Sun and Moon existing, absurd HP powercreep in the TCG since 2014, ect. No one complained about any of that, but IDK those issues are far more pressing then what happened with SWSH.
@@krimsonkatt I'ma gonna have to disagree with a lot of those points but I think that S&S has a lot of problems that have been progressively worse each generation and a lot of it has to do with the framework of difficulty and adversity and the area/region design
@@jaydeejay4166 Yeah, sword and shield are very linear (at least in the main routes) and very easy. The games have been extremely linear since Sun and Moon when they were no longer grid based, but IDK what's up with that because nearly every open world game is grid based so yeah. Sword and Shield are very unbalanced games because even super early on you can grind EXP candy and overleveled mons in the wild area and level up super fast so everything else becomes a cakewalk. Game Freak should take a page out of fan games like Crystal Clear where you can do the gyms in any order but they scale their rosters and level to your progression similar to how it's implied it works in the Generations anime. That doesn't exactly ruin the game for me personally, as I enjoy easy games and the linearity is not that big of a problem for me because the main game of nearly every Pokemon game is just a distraction before I can get to the real meat of the game: Pokedex completion, legendary hunting, and competitive battling. This is the case in every game since X and Y. At least Sword and Shield is harder than whatever the frick X and Y was (Leon is one if the harder champions in recent memory. Certainly harder than Diantha, Kukui/Hau, and even some older ones like Steven and/or Wallace.) and the wild area is a step in the right direction, but needs some serious refinement before it's actually good. Xenoblade-esque overleveled encounters don't work for Pokemon as the level scaling isn't too extreme that they can 1-shot you instantly. Most wild Pokemon are extremely dumb and just spam status or not-very-effecective moves, and due to Pokemon's mechanics wild Pokemon even 50 levels above yours can be defeated with enough luck and strategy. Xenoblade had overleveled monsters because running into them spells instant death and adds a extra layer to overworld exploration. Pokemon doesn't work like that due to the way damage and stats are configured. Maybe in the next game with it's wild area have Pokemon past the level cap not give you any EXP and remove raids entirely? (There would be other ways to obtain EXP candies trust me, but they would probably be post-game locked.) IDK.
Tho from what I understand, gamefreak is the one that makes pokemon, and nintendo publishes it, so the whole “gamefreak lied” thing technically doesnt involve nintendo.

For real. There's a difference between being loyal and blindly ignorant. I like Nintendo but I'm not afraid of calling them out when they do something bad.
I call them out on what they do wrong. There’s a lot they do wrong, but I understand their stance on emulation. Don’t entirely agree with it but I get it. It hurts their IP, and when they DO rerelease their games people compare it to emulated versions which hurt their brand. You see what the problem with this is?
@@juangutierrez673 first of all, they didn’t falsely advertise. Second, joy-con drift is a problem but at least they are repairing it for free. Third, you answered your own question about their stance on emulation. People compare how they make their ports compared to how well they’re emulated, nintendo is a company that has many things to worry about and work on, and although the Mario all stars may be a little overpriced and isn’t a full remake (even though that was never promised in any sort of way) the game still works fine enough, better than they did on their respective hardware anyway. What this all means is that emulation does hurt their image and IP, and 3D all stars proves this. That’s why they don’t want people emulating ANY of their games, because even if they aren’t doing anything with them right now if they do in the future then their IP will be damaged. It’s not as easy as sega makes it out to be, because with sega they couldn’t even make any good sonic games anymore and had to rely on fans where Nintendo has faults, but is very consistent with the quality of their games

The whole console is unacceptable at this price. I mean I get it, it's portable, but so is my phone which was cheaper, has a better screen, better processor, graphics device and more RAM. They shouldn't just sell a console with 2012 specs for 400 dollars just because it's portable. Pisses me off.

"We have one thing you could never hate, our games!"
Then proceeds to show pokemon sword and shield
@@krimsonkatt I think the problem was it was so overhyped and it kinda failed to deliver, also the gang in the game was literally the worst one yet.

For real. There's a difference between being loyal and blindly ignorant. I like Nintendo but I'm not afraid of calling them out when they do something bad.
You tried the best, now try the rest!
