#MTB #JoshuaTree #Desert - Спорт
if you want this scenery but a proper descent just ride Palm Canyon Epic
It's getting hot now, would probably do the jt trail since it's a a few degrees cooler up in jt
@Trail Pimp or simpson park, if you want something closer and shorter ride.
I still can't get over the massive perspective Droney offers, what a beautiful park!
You and me both!
Pretty amazing looking area. I fully expect a sequel where you get lost in the desert and MTB Alan has to come and rescue you! 😂
Haha my worst nightmare! Thanks bud!
You know, that's actually a very cool and unique outro shot, make it your signature thing! 👍🏻
Thanks!
I have been wondering about this trail system for awhile. It definitely looks like it's worth checking out. Thanks for putting it on video!
You bet!
Outstanding. More like this, please
You got it!
Really enjoyed this video! Normally I wouldn't stick around to watch a cross country ride, but I love Joshua Tree. Going to add this to my list of trails to ride.
Sweet glad you enjoyed it!
Droney adds a huge element to the channel! Pretty epic going between POV to drone shots
Thanks!
I love Joshua Tree! I spent a couple of weekends there in the early 90's and had an awesome time. So beautiful.
It really is!
You're content just keeps getting better. I'm a high alpine rider and I made it all the way to the end! :)
Also, please punch me for the wrong "your".
That is awesome! Thanks!
As a climber Joshua Tree is one of my favorite places but I had no idea you could ride out there. Great video!
Glad you enjoyed!
Would love to see more vids of riding like this! Awesome spot!
For sure!
We are camping out there this weekend, so I wanted to check on the trails. Helpful video. Thank you so much.
Cheers!
that drone is a rock star
Agreed!
Wow!!! Set aside the content for now which you nailed. Video Quality wise... you brought them up to a whole new level. I mean the Skydrone and GoPro footage blends very well as if your using same camera. Colors were both perfect and natural but shows a lot of smooth details. Whatever your doing Tony pls keep doing it coz its working well.
Then the outro with the Drone... PERFECTO!!! The way your talking upon exiting... your still able to connect to your audience with the Drone shooting from the front. Plus the way tou said goodbye with the exiting GoPro feels some sense of satisfaction with more coming up.
By far, BEST EVER the Outsider Channel video. Period!!!
Heck yeah thanks so much for the kind words and encouragement Hansel!
Out there May 9th, will definitely hit Section Six. Thanks, another fun video and inspiration 👏🏼🌵😎
Have fun!
Mad mad mad props !
- a video that captures the true essence of what mountain biking is ( undiscovered trails and adventure )
- your video edit style was polished and suited for the this type of ride .
- daps to your HT knuckles heads that follow you ,
- next hit MT Wilson we do it on hardtails all the time so you should just squish on by lol .
Great video Tony mucho respecto
Ahhh thank you!!!!
awesome shots, what a cool place! 🔥
Thanks Ryan!
Looked fun for an xc trail, cheers!
Looks like fun Tony ..will have to give that area another shot. I was thinking half way through your vid, I bet a hardtail would be fun there and you mention it right away! Cool vid.
Haha cheers!
This is more my kind of mtb'ing. Definitely need to check this place out.
Love the quality of your video specially with this drone
I barely started mtb and your videos motivate me to go out there more often
Get it buddy! Thanks!
Great idea to my list! Did not know about this
Glad it was helpful!
Never would have thought to ride in Joshua Tree. Looks fun!
It's a grind but super fun!
Drone views are sick
Wow, I have always wondered about trails in Joshua tree...thanks
Any time!
Love it, looks like a kickass place to ride.
It is!
Love it tony that’s my kind of ride. Beautiful.
👊👍
Love it! The California dezerts are my home away and death valley is a must do trip if you enjoyed Joshua Tree.
Didn't know there were trails there either!
That terrain looks awesome like from another planet.. I’ll definitely need to take a trip out soon. 👏👏🤘
Get it!
drone angle really shows the diverse colors of the desert! sweet angles too. looks like granite bay meets wild horse trail outside phoenix
👊👍
Cool edit thanks
Glad you like it
Love sec 6 so much i bought a cabin nearby. Well, i love the mines, in 29 Palms and the Hammers are a truck killer, gotta love it. If you love dirt, there is something for everyone
Awesome!
Super dope video I really like the drone footage so cool 🤙🏽
👊
I just keep picturing U2🤪 great footage 👍
Nice 👍
awesome ride Tony, I am into XC and downhill riding. enjoyed this video👏😎
Right on!
Oooh this looks like what I am looking for. I like downhills xc trails but this could be just right for my updated xc/gravel bike setup.
There you go!
I was just there this weekend, no riding just a overnight camping in Cottonwood.
Definitely would like to try the trail and also my Skydio.
Sounds great!
Just got back from there today, first time there. We did all the black trails along with most of the blue. So many technical rock sections which makes it so much fun.
Nice!
I usually ride Greer and Simpson Park, the HUBB in IDYLLWILD and Joshua Tree, I didn't know the trails had ratings such as black or blue. I would say these are difficult trails, lots of tech, but nothing black at all. Any advanced rider can ride all the trails. Only two spots you probably will have to get off the bike.
Your getting closer to my area. Looking forward to a video from my local trail in La Quinta. "Boo Hoff". Fantastic downhill section and rock garden.
Sounds great!
So cool 😎 was hoping to see drony face to face with a rattle snake 🐍
I did a motorcycle trip there this week and camped .. So beautiful and the weather was perfect. I gotta get the rack that lets me carry a bike on my bike..
Sounds great Danny!
This is my backyard pretty much, I was up there riding on sunday!
💥👍
I was getting Guacamole flashbacks with less confusion, nice vid!!
Haha 💥👊
I was at jtree the same day you were! I was intending to ride there that day too but the winds were so gnarly in Palm Springs (where I was staying) I decided not to. Turned out jtree area was just fine when I got there! Cool chill ride it looks like. I ended up going to skypark, Greer and aliso on my SoCal mtb trip. Was epic!
Oh wow - nice one!
dude the drone shot is sick
👊
Hey Tony! Great vid. I knew it was a matter of time when you would employ drone service. (I know you did some with "Droney" before this one) I'll be there in two weeks. Thanks.
Enjoy!!
A stiff suspension is great for a pedal and sometimes its better for going down some steep chunk especially on the front fork reducing compression and the bike diving but for technical climbs up the tire can hit a step up and with reduce compression it can stop dead in its tracks . Of course lifting the front end can help to avoid those pitfalls . Yeah that's all I ever ride is a hardtail .
90% or more of my ride is a pedal and I enjoy that more than the adrenalin rush so this kind of ride I prefer and mimics allot of what my local trails look like in Rosamond ca except it looks much cleaner and devoid of human trash . Great ride Tony and your little buddy . Its kind of like having a mechanical bird pet following you .
Good info an I agree with my new little bud!
Isn't that where they filmed Tremors? Kevin Bacon could've used a full squish YT back then haha. Beautiful place. Cool video!
Hahah that's a rad fun fact!
They filmed Tremors in the Alabama Hills near Lone Pine, Ca. Still an awesome place🤘🏻
Damn! I’ve been hiking out there but had no idea there were trails that allowed MTB!
Throw the Jeffsy flip chip in high-mode? Makes a HELL of a difference doing XC style stuff on the Jeff, worth a shot and another ride if you haven’t tried it yet.
Good call!
YEW!
I’m so sad you came out here and I didn’t know... Awesome vid I dig the drone shots. I know of local trails that have all the nice descents and flows you like in y.v. If ur ever out here in the desert again
Cool, thanks!
Nice vid Tony. Drone shot was a nice touch.
Hey, Donte been riding section 6 since I moved to YV, never know of any local trails in YV, i just do Machris park to tower or sometimes machris to covington flats up to eureka peak. I would love to know your riding spots here in YV. Thank you.
@@kumanderkidlat yeah I have also ridden the trails you mentioned and yeah I would love to link up sometime. None of the trails I ride are well known to mtbers out here. A lot of them can be linked up from desert crisis park off of sunny slope dr. Also some super fast flow trails are hidden behind the golf course 😉
@@kumanderkidlat search up mtb yucca valley ca and the first video you find is the sunny slope trail
You are one of the Frist MTB RUclipsr that use a Drone.
Those pictures are so cool. Great Trail and Nature.
Glad you like them!
Many mtb youtubers I follow have used drones. Some have had them for years, predating the autofollow drones. However, drones are expensive and dont play well with trees, so the opportunities to use them are limited.
If you like drones, try "follow cam friday" with Nate Hills
Hey Tony, great video, the timing was so perfect. My girlfriend and I are going to Joshua tree this weekend, definitely going to bring the bikes! On Strava, did you do the loop clockwise or counter?
Thanks again for all the rad videos, you’ve introduced me to some good ones and I’m from Cali! 🍻
Sweet!!! Enjoy - clockwise.
No video of le snek? Amazing scenery for sure, not an area people usually think of for desert riding when compared to Moab, St George, Sedona, Tucson, Vegas, etc.
Not yet!
Nice vid! Scouts trail looked cool up until the (near) fall. Side Q.. were you on a pivot yesterday in ladera?
Nope not me. 👊✓
Chicken sandwich... mnn...... also amazing footage! Tomorrow i get my smaller cast!
Good luck!
And Woodward west.
I actually like that kind of riding
👍
I'm allergic to chicken, but I enjoyed this sandwich. ✌🏼🤟🏼
Sorry to hear that! hah thanks!
How could I find a spot where you were in Joshua tree heading out that way pretty soon wondering if I can get some details or directions would be great looks like an awesome place then screw around keep up the good work Tony
Links under the video. 👊👍💨
Tony, any issues with GPS acquisition for the Skydio? I have two friends with the same drone and very often it takes them a while to acquire GPS signal and launch
Yes that is a thing, but when I lock the beacon also into my phone it seems to cut that drag time down quite a lot.
9:26 bad line choice? 😅 j/k great video as always!
if you want to call that a line even. Haha
Hey Tony, just curious, how come you went with the Skydio over a DJI drone? You definitely put this on my mtb to do list, great video as usual.
This is completely autonomous and offers way more options for that realm. Really is confidence inspiring.
That trail is sick but Sedona is prob the best trail in my opinion
I wonder what time would be best to be out there? I know it's already in the 90s by my house and I am just 40 miles from LA.
I wouldn't do it in the summer.
@@TheOutsiderMTB I know you film these videos and need time to edit so about when did you go out there? I might take a day off and cruise out to check it out.
@@jrulison This was last Tuesday.
@@TheOutsiderMTB thanks.
Great scenery but too much sunnery for me. I had a kidney transplant in early 2020 and the anti rejection meds make me sensitive to the sun and more prone to cancer. Being a mtb'r is gonna be tricky with sun exposure limitations.
I burn super easy, sunblock, long sleeve shirts even when it is hot out
Ahhh makes sense.
Thought that was gonna be a crash @2:34...
Me too!
Definitely hardtail trails.
Dangerous place to go alone! Do you have any GPX data for that area?
I have all of the info in the description of where you can get details.
Which drone do you have?
Skydio 2
Was that a snake in the bottom right hand corner at 8:04?
I think a stick.
How many magic mushrooms were consumed on this XC ride of self discovery?!
🥳
Is there a danger of mountain lions in that area? That's the reason why I'm always very reluctant to hit up any trails
Not i this area I'm aware of.
Did I see you advertised 4 real estate on a bus stop in mission viejo or am I tripping ?
You're tripping. Haha
The Outsider MTB cool had to ask. It was a real estate agent ad and dude looked just like you. Thanks for the vids
