"Of all the prototype models tested, the most efficient weapon brought to the table was the Kendo Custom, created by the legendary gunsmith, Joseph Kendo" -Joseph Kendo
@ Makes one wonder.... Wesker SE in games with it (and indicating it WAS MADE FOR HIS TASTES) claim it has better firepower than standard and other Custom order SEs (Chris likes ease of aim and use, giving it better recoil recovery, Jill's has quickdraw and snap aim, giving it a sleekier design and better aim speed and crit area damage & aim speed), so.... which would fare better at it? Wesker's 9mm SE with custom changes for improved damage or Barry's .40 S&W rechambered custom SE?
"Rebecca and Jill jumped into the jacuzzi with Joseph Kendo and proceeded to tell him he was the most legendary and badass gunsmith of all time." - Joseph Kendo
Not even Wesker who despised the S.T.A.R.S unit got rid of his Samurai Edge, that proves how good that weapon really was for been the main gun of someone like him.
It was mainly kept so that he would use it on chris in re5 considering his loadout in the mercenaries (midnight) was a H&K P8 instead. Also to note wesker was seen using a different handgun when shooting at sheva on the bombardier before he switched to his SE when he got close enough to put it on Chris' dome. I'd like to think his SE was a subtle reminder to his betrayal at the mansion incident.
It was because of Resident Evil that I bought a 92FS in real life. I can see why Kendo would use that as a base to make the Samurai Edge. Mine is just a standard model but shoots extremely well and is very accurate. Plus it’s reliable and after 750 rounds thrown through it, it’s never jammed once.

I'd say that, between the Hydra, Silver Ghost, and Samurai Edge, Resident Evil is the only franchise that I can actually say that I'd watch hour-long videos about theoretical guns. Still, well done on another stellar video. Keep up the good work. 💜
Albert Wesker have this samurai edge in story mode of RE 5 and mercenary mode while playing mercenary mode in RE 5 i love the gun fire sound made by Samurai Edge so solid and you feel the legends of it
I'm happy that you finally made a part 2 brother. Great job! 👍
man!! thank you so much for the Samurai Edge love! I can't wait to find out wtf is up with RE7's Samurai Edge and the Thor's Hammer shotgun both engraved with Albert W. Model 01 & 02
This is such an underrated channel. Keep up the good work my man!
Jill Re3 OG 1999 was the first to feature the samurai edge. Everything else was added later on !
You’re correct, in this case we’re talking about the Standard Model Samurai Edge’s first appearance being in the 2002 REmake.
i wasn't a fan of the guns redesigning in RE1 Remake (that was the case also in RE3), i wondered why the Mikami team bothered to make over-the-top designs for the guns instead of directly modelling these from real photos like in the Original PlayStation1 game, but i recognize that the Beretta 92F in its Samurai Edge appearance is just cool. i like how it looks. they didn't butchered the design of that famous italian pistol (already a nice looking pistol IMO) , and they gave it a beautiful aesthetic , made with passion. the guy who got the idea of that Beretta design was a genius.
I've always watched your videos before going to sleep. It's like listening to bed stories.
I cant wait to see the coverage of the last 4 custom samurai edges awesome work
Without doubt...my favourite weapon in fiction.
...
It's flawless design, it's masterful performance. It truly is the greatest weapon I've ever seen.
Lit 🔥 been waiting for this and I’m even more hype to see the special models for Jill Chirs Barry and Wesker and idk if the RE7 version counts as a samurai edge but would love to see lore on it. But love the content and look forward to more.
I can feel pat from two best friends play getting hyped from watching this
Awww yis a new kendo video to take this week's stress away
This has been my most anticipated video from this channel. Just waiting on the Silver Ghost now.
Highly underrated channel. This is top tier production. Good work. This is amazing. We need this video for the history books.
The most favourite gun in resident evil I wish the Samurai Edge was real to buy. Also, thank you for part two of this video about S.T.A.R.S. Handgun is very interesting.
Amazing video bro, your work is amazing keep up the RE spirit so well, waiting your next video
This was amazing the end actually brought a tear to my eyes great work
It always makes my day better to see one of your videos mate, especially when there about this beautiful work of craftsmanship... can’t wait for part three
Thank you for completing the spec's and story of best weapon in Resident Evil history, it has taken down many of Umbrella's B.O.W.'s and I will continue to use the Samurai Edge so long it still exists ✊
Just shows the depth of RE lore that you can make a series about a handgun.
KENDO!!! I love these videos man. Sooooo good. We need part 3 my dude!!! The saga isn't complete!!! Possible part 4? Marui's?
I genuinely did a silent gasp when the silhouette of the other custom Samurai Edges, only this channel could make me hyped about guns. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the individual unique models a lot, especially Wesker's. If each was built for there users custom preferences, then i can only imagine what kind of gun he came up with.
Best one yet Mr. Kendo. I can't wait for the next lesson.
On point! And I respect the tribute at the end.
It’s crazy how I can just sit here and listen to these videos for hours and not get bored
This is fascinating. But where did you find all the background info. It's been a while since I played the games but I don't remember reading this much detail. Great work.
Most of the in-depth Samurai Edge lore can be found in supplemental material, mainly the pamphlets that are included in the Tokyo Marui Samurai Edge airsoft replicas. We made sure to link it in the description of the video.
@@robertkendo1481 Awesome. Thanks for replying. :)
Hopefully we'll get a video on those 4 other variations. The one on the lower right looks particularly fascinating.
With every video, we get closer and closer to the silver ghost. I'm so excited
And as always, this video is of an awesome quality and it's host's voice fits well and keeps my attention
Ngl the ending brought me tears
May S.T.A.R.S forever shine
The most iconic handgun ever! Albert Wesker's SE is the beauty! ❤
