G3 would have been a beast in RE8. It also makes sense given the location of Eastern European. NATO troops of west Germany uses the G3 for many years and there would be a surplus of them.
I think the cut rifle is more akin to an Cetme C58. It has a wooden hand guard with vent holes. The rifle is Spanish, so it would make less sense to exist here
I have a theory, based off of the Zoe report in the pre-order, that we'll be coming back to village as Zoe, perhaps she's following her own leads there. The reason that's important, is I reckon she'll be interacting with The Duke, as I can imagine he'd be interested in another person snooping around. If anything remotely along this line happens, I can almost guarantee we'll get the cut G3 back as a gun exclusive for Zoe (though it could also make appearances in other game modes if they do a Banned Footage style, which I sincerely hope they do. Vol 3 and 4 would be an awesome idea)

The KP94 from RE4 beta and The P226 from 3.5 is always the ones that i really remember when it comes to cut weapons and modders for the most part are trying to restore the gun back as a mod for either the 2007 pc version or the UHD. I've luckily managed (even though i'm not a modder myself) to put back the KP94 into the 2007 Ubisoft RE4 pc as a mod that replace the Silver Ghost. After went through a bit of tutorial videos on how to make weapon mod since i'm that obsessed of wanting the KP94 but so far there's only little to none that managed to do it right, so i've decided to it myself and manage to get the weapon ported over as a mod, and it's fully functional using all the correct models intended (player, inventory, examine models), they were extracted thanks to TeamSurvival. Great cut weapon videos that has been in 3 parts, Kendo Brothers and you both even managed to cover the Triple Shot's early prototype design, i'm amazed. Keep up the amazing work, you guys are awesome as always. P.S. love the incosistency, Capcom. Gotta love it or hate it.
It's so weird to me seeing the Resident Evil 2 Remake Lightning Hawk have a chrome/silver frame, I swear I remember the gun having an all black finish on my first few playthroughs of the game.
Funnily enough, you’re not misremembering at all. Not soon after the game released they actually updated the texture of the Lightning Hawk. It was always Chrome/Two Tone but the base albedo texture was a dull gray. That combined with the high reflectivity and the dark game environment it always looked fully black.

That's a deep cut. Was it an m9 style knife? One of the few things I thought was interesting about Village was Chris's karambit. I didn't realize Capcom paid as much intention to knives as they did their firearms.
the G3 looks closer the the CETME rifle with that rear sight not being an HK style drum sight and magazine although the carry handle is more indicitve of the G3. curious
Curious indeed. Early model H&K G3s shared a similar rear sight to the CETMEs, but there were enough features we could discern from both versions that we decided to not tie it to an exact model. Especially from the small inventory icon alone. Good eye though.
Perhaps we are seeing the classic RE trope of hybrid gun designs. Which makes sense, especially in the context that both weapons have many similarities to one and other. Perhaps to make their own, unique spin on the style of rifle. I'd love to see what a 3D render of their design looks like. Here's hoping that it makes an appearance in any of the future DLC content they teased (though I dont expect it for a while - given that it seems they only started working on it after fan response!)
It would have been cool to have the CETME Modelo C in RE Village as an assault rifle, since it is a rather old weapon, made around the 50's in a colaboration effort between CETME and Heckler & Koch to produce an assault rifle for the Spanish army, which it also was the base model that H&K will use to produce the G3. Hell, even in RE4 could had appeared, since this is a spanish weapon xD
the Cetme C was a Cetme project first, then H&K asked if they could use it: the designers, being former Germans who escaped the war, allowed it, and thus the G3 was formed. after this you would see the CETME, and H&K lineups differentiate.
This. I took one look at the cut design and immediately thought they took more than a few design cues from the Auto-9, though I doubt it would’ve been an issue of copyright infringement that ultimately caused them to change it since the Far Cry series has had their own version of the Auto-9 (the A.J.M.-9) included in the games as an unlockable extra (or a preorder bonus for 6) ever since Blood Dragon and I don’t recall Ubisoft getting sued over it.

God that CETME rifle would have been so cool to have in RE8; maybe it would have been a semi-auto sniper rifle with multiple scopes ala RE4's? Here's hoping it'll pop up in the DLC!
Ah yes. The knife was combined with Chemical X. Makes sense why that would be overpowered, being that was the component to making the Power Puff Girls.
Heya Kendo! Discovered your channel a few days ago and gotta say, love the content! It scratches the itch for high quality Resident Evil trivia for fans. I have a question, how do you make those images of the guns/ammo on the tables? Do you render them yourself? Thanks for the entertainment, keep it up!
Knife X, formed by reacting sugar, spice and everything nice while adding the secret ingredient chemical X. Special effect of the knife? To turn a zombie into one of the PowerPuff Girls apparently.
I'm pretty sure the cut rifle from RE5 is a modified version of the "Machinegun" from Dead Rising, it's possible that it might just be a placeholder, but the scope being new, and the laser sight being gone from the original model puts some holes in that theory. Maybe it was meant to be like RE6 with all fictional weapons, until Capcom got the rights to use real manufacturer and model names?

In reality, sure drum mags have more capacity then stick mags, but they have a bunch of other issues like feeding malfunctions, needing their spring to be rewound, and being much more bulky to carry. So most militaries phased them out, yet videogames keep treating them like a net positive upgrade.

I never imagined the shotgun from RE Village actually had a bayonet! Oh man that would have been an awesome twist to giving us some means to help Ethan fight off monsters when out of ammo instead of always needing a knife!
I love the Wolfsbane, but as an 1851 clone, the magnum cartridge conversion is a bit funky. I'd expect a cartridge conversion of a .36 cap and ball to translate into a .38 special tbh. I just end up imagining it as a Colt Walker!
That g3 rifle looks pretty cool I think that would have been a weapon for Ethan winters. I think ethan would have found the g3 rifle in of the cabins in the village square.
We've seen this mentioned before on the IMFDB page and considered it during scripting, however when comparing the two models in full, there is very little resemblance to call them same guns. - Robert
@@KendoGunShop Okay! I guess we have to take a more close look. It seems they intended to fictional guns like in RE4. Besides making fictional hybrixd guns, Capcom tends to recicle their made guns from other games, so it's posible that they took the rifle from Dead Rising's base model and worked it from here.
Very True, especially when considering that some of the guns from RE4 made it into Dead Rising. To be fair the IMFDB post had me convinced as well, being that the image shown of Dead Rising rifle is cropped in a way that does make the two look a bit similar. - Robert
@@KendoGunShop About Dead Rising, it was the Chop till you drop Wii version that used the Resident Evil 4 engine and recicled most of the guns, minus the upgrade system. The original game had it's own guns, which were modeled after real guns (Except the assault rifle, which was a hybrid). The trailer of Resident Evil 5, had Chris's supporting hand clipping trought the grenade launcher. Making the assault rifle usable has shown would require some modified animations to fit the hand in the launcher correctly. The grenade launcher functionality would require the devs to add a secondary attack system to the game or let guns swap betwen two separate ammo pools inside it. The alternative is that the grenade launcher would serve exclusivedly for esthetical purposes, like in Dead Rising. I would especulate that its main perfomerance would be similar to the SIG 556. I guess they abandoned the idea, and around the time they decided to use real licensed guns, replaced it with the SIG in the final game.
I think capcom need to hire you as a new face and a new voice of Joseph kendo because Joseph kendo is a mystery in resident evil franchise you can be the next model of Joseph kendo love your information please continue this kinds of video
Perhaps the bayonet for the shotgun gave you a much more damaging counter to your block? As it is you block then hit a button to get Ethan to hit them then he kicks them back, with the bayonet equipped maybe he would switch the hit for a stab before kicking the enemy off the bayonet?
The bayonet was actually used in the VR mode of RE8, where it is a weapon attachment for the shotgun. Perhaps the VR mode was always planned, and the bayonet was simply added early.
The original Tripleshot looks a little bit like Robocop's Auto 9. Maybe it was originally supposed to be a reference since Robocop usually fires his Auto 9 in bursts.
I think I can describe the RE5 Cut Assault Rifle as an M4 Carbine Assault Rifle or simply an H&K MP5 with a full polymer stock, Eotech Holographic Sight, Side mounted laser sight and an M203 Grenade Launcher
I know In resident evil 3 nemesis both Carlos and Nikolai and Jill used the Sig sauer sp2009 which is now the modern better made sig sauer sp2022. This gun was cut from the resident evil 3 remake

I never imagined the shotgun from RE Village actually had a bayonet! Oh man that would have been an awesome twist to giving us some means to help Ethan fight off monsters when out of ammo instead of always needing a knife!
or if you are an fellow krieger or just a fan of napoleonic warfare charge at your enemies with it
I love the Wolfsbane, but as an 1851 clone, the magnum cartridge conversion is a bit funky. I'd expect a cartridge conversion of a .36 cap and ball to translate into a .38 special tbh. I just end up imagining it as a Colt Walker!
Me:Was about be a productive person today
Sees that Kendo came out with a new video 👀
Me: I can be productive later. Less gooo!
I don't even play RE but your videos are endlessly entertaining.
That g3 rifle looks pretty cool I think that would have been a weapon for Ethan winters. I think ethan would have found the g3 rifle in of the cabins in the village square.
I love the triple shot a beretta m93R with a sig sauer p220 sport it’s a beauty
That bayonet shotgun would have been great for melee combat
At 3:09 the ar for re5 was also equipped with a m4 adapter conversion
Joeseph Kendo released a new video! This is the best birthday ever!
Happy Birthday!
Every time Kendo Gun Shop pops into my feed, Its gonna be a good day ♥
Impressive
I didn't expect a part 3!!! Amazing content as always
I figured it out from the Twitter post cause I remember the bayonet for the m1897 being cut from village 👀
The unused assault rifle model of Resident Evil 5 is actually the assault rifle from Dead Rising, with the original scope swaped with the holo sight.
We've seen this mentioned before on the IMFDB page and considered it during scripting, however when comparing the two models in full, there is very little resemblance to call them same guns.

I hope you do an in depth guide to the wolfsbane revolver
Why is this channel so fun to listen too
This was great, u included the new games. Thanks
I think capcom need to hire you as a new face and a new voice of Joseph kendo because Joseph kendo is a mystery in resident evil franchise you can be the next model of Joseph kendo love your information please continue this kinds of video
That cut Assault Rifle from RE5 looks similar to the Machine Gun model used in Dead Rising.
I changed my real gun PT92 in order to be close to samurai edge. I love custom guns from RE series!
I gotta say, I love the original design of the Triple Shot.
Perhaps the bayonet for the shotgun gave you a much more damaging counter to your block? As it is you block then hit a button to get Ethan to hit them then he kicks them back, with the bayonet equipped maybe he would switch the hit for a stab before kicking the enemy off the bayonet?
Aww, the shotgun with bayonet looks so good! I wonder why they decided to cut that out.
The bayonet was actually used in the VR mode of RE8, where it is a weapon attachment for the shotgun. Perhaps the VR mode was always planned, and the bayonet was simply added early.
The bayonet for the trench gun in RE8 would have been so cool
if you guys didn't realise the reloading animation for the unidentified rifle from resident evil 5 was reused for the psg1 sniper rifle
The original Tripleshot looks a little bit like Robocop's Auto 9. Maybe it was originally supposed to be a reference since Robocop usually fires his Auto 9 in bursts.
Excellent work as always Kendo. Thank you!
Continue to provide excellent weapons
I think I can describe the RE5 Cut Assault Rifle as an M4 Carbine Assault Rifle or simply an H&K MP5 with a full polymer stock, Eotech Holographic Sight, Side mounted laser sight and an M203 Grenade Launcher
I hope KendoGunShop covers more Evil Within content.
I know In resident evil 3 nemesis both Carlos and Nikolai and Jill used the Sig sauer sp2009 which is now the modern better made sig sauer sp2022. This gun was cut from the resident evil 3 remake
