How to get Games On Ti-84 Plus CE Tutorial *New*

- The new Ti-84 Plus CEs do not have the asm feature, so you would need to jail break your calculator in order to play the games. There is a great video by TheLastMillennial which explains how to do the jail break.
At 3:22, there's a mistake; the order of the buttons you should click should be:

In this video, I will be teaching you how to get games on your Ti-84 Plus CE. This tutorial may be used for both Mac and for PC as I cover both of them in the tutorial. The games range from tetris to pokemon!

i cant extract the file 2:36. It just shows me "clibs" and "FLAPPYB" both of which show me the ti connect app icon on them. I cant open them or anything and I cant extract them further. if I upload it to my calculator I can find it but after I click enter it gives me an error saying "ERROR: DATA TYPE"

Sorry, those games I showed work only for the plus ce, but some of them, I heard, work on the ti -84 plus as well!

Ok, so quit geometry dash by pressing 2nd and quit. Then follow the same steps to access the game, but select the other game. I hope that helped!

Hey i know this is a old video and dont know if your still active but i have a question i acidently deleted my cacualtors setting and did a reset but now when i do the 2nd a 0 the ans( is appearing only the ans is but that one isnt the same one and doesnt work
Hey, I'm still here! That's really weird, I'm not sure why that is happening. I would try resetting the calculator, and then updating it. That might fix it. Also, when you do 2nd and 0, you need to click on "Asm(" not "Ans". Hope this helps!

The calculator functions exactly as it did before installing the games. To exit the game, press second and then quit.

Hmm, are you sure its the buttons not working or you not pressing the right controls? I'm pretty sure geometry dash uses 2nd to jump or something like that. If the problem persists, try reinstalling and make sure you drag all the files. Hope that helped!
whats the difference between launching a game through prgm as opposed to 2nd 0 asm then prgm?
Good question! Someone had else had answered this in the comment section, but some games require the asm token to run the game, so it may not work if you just click program. Hope that clarified your doubt!

When i go on TI connect ce, it doesnt show any files on the right-hand side. Am i doing something wrong
For the files to show up on the right, you have to drag those files from the extraced zip. Hope that helped!
Every time I try to send the game to the calculator it says bad token, why?

I believe every single person who had this problem said it was fixed after trouble shooting and making sure the wire was plugged in firmly on both ends.

when I tried to use the method shown to open my program, the program didn't work properly. another (and simpler) method which got my program to work was to click my program key

Of course, once you finish playing, exit the game and it’s a normal calculator. But when you feel bored, open up the games again and have fun!
When I download the Pac-Man files and extract it, only one file comes out that is named "Pac-Man" and is 19kb will this same process work?
Yeah
Yes. 1 File or 8 files, just send all those to the calculator and it should work.
Why does it keep saying error when i try to open the "app"

There are two reasons for that: if you are using windows, UAC or (User account control) might be blocking the installation of the applications, or the other reason is that your antivirus may be blocking the installation. Hope that helped!

Oh, it’s the same thing. Just hit extract files and it should work. Let me know if it doesn’t.
When I try to download the games it says that my windows has blocked the download for not being safe , what do I do ?
So, you should be able to click on advanced and bypass the warning, or you could go to settings and disable windows protector. But MAKE SURE you turn it back on after downloading the files! I hope that helped
Do you know where I can buy a ti 84 plus ce for cheap but brand new?
I personally bought mine off of Amazon and got it a few dollars cheaper than at stores like Office Depot. And color does reduce the cost as I remember blue was more expensive than black. However, I do not know if you can get it cheaper that 110. Let me know if you find on cheaper though!

To be honest, I'm really not sure what the problem is... The only solution I could think of is that the steps written on the left side of the video to open the game is incorrect; follow what I'm doing rather than what's written as I missed an "enter" somewhere. I hope that fixed your problem! Let me know if it did or didn't!

hi so my ti connect program isn’t connecting to my calculator but my usb cable does work and I’ve tried it from different USB ports and it’s not showing up

Can you take the games off your calculator? Like for SAT or something.
Yes you can, but before an SAT or ACT, I suggest you clear your calculator memory, effectively removing all games as well as any previously entered calculations which may be used to accuse you of cheating.
Did follow every step, double checked every action I made still didn’t work out my calculator just says error. I’m not sure if this video is fake or not, can someone in the comment section please explain what I messed up?

Open the folder, and you should be able to drag what is inside to outside the folder to your desktop.

I did everything for pacman, but it says error, ti 84 plus btw, not ce. I think it doesnt work for the original ti 84 plus

The text on the screen is wrong s.o follow what I am doing on the calculator instead. Also, check if you sent all the files to the calculator. That's the most common problem I see with most people. Hope that helped! :)

Hmm, make sure your inserting the wires in the right way. Don’t force it in and try another port on your pc.

It should. Another folder should open up with the contents of the zip file. Try repeating the process again, but try the different extract buttons. (Extract, extract here, extract and any others you may have)

Make sure that your opening the game by following what I do rather than what’s written on the side; I accidentally forgot to include an “enter” on the left side. Hope that helped!

The app won’t recognize my calculator
First, make sure the computer recognizes the calculator. If it does, then the app should too. If it doesn't, then it is a problem with the connection. Either your calculator is broken or your wire is. Hope that helped!

The Embering Slime - Owner Of Fazikal Try clearing your calculator memory and then done same process as in the video again. To clear your calculator memory, press 2nd, then +, then 7, then 1, and then 2. Or you can press the tiny circle on the back of your calculator. Let me know if this helped!

Maybe you archived your files? Those don't get deleted even when you clear your calculator memory. Try going into your calculator and deleting those. Once you do so, follow the instructions in the video exactly as I say and make sure you tick the right boxes when I send the files to the calculator. Let me know how it goes!
