I’m 22 years old in Greece and just bought the k11 model. I’m trying to put a mattress in it so I can sleep and travel in my lovely micra. You are welcome at my small motel whenever u want for vacation in Greece ❤😂
Great. the more on the K11 the better. You are giving me the confidence to work on mine. I would love to see you install some roofbars, as that's something I would like to do to maximise the functionality of the vehicle. Keep up the brilliant work. @@CarSpyTV
@@CarSpyTV haha, It would be so cool seeing you do cheap mods though, (or retro fit some extras to it, if your aim is to put it back on the road one day)
Thank you.I've always wondered about doing this on mine. Now I don't need to find the Haynes Manual.Thats the beauty of You Tube-- the job is so much more straight forward when you watch some one else do it first to explain any anomalies.
Well presented as always. But a fine car like that deserves better than power tools , it's not a GM, but for pulling the seat cushion off it's clips I might have let a chemical do the hard work for me, some sort of PTFE penetrating, releasing, lubricating agent. 😃
Great step by step guide...my Haynes manual skips over detail like this assuming that everyone knows how to forcefully yank out the front clips...eased mine off using a long screwdriver as a lever through the middle of clip after borrowing your knowledge for their location...bravo sir and thanks for posting... Do you have any knowledge of the fuel pump relay location on a K11 ? Regards Ade
Thank you, Ade. Glad the video helped. More Micra content to follow. The following link shows the location of the fuel pump relay. See: fuseandrelay.com/nissan/micra.html
@@CarSpyTV thanks for the link.My K11 must be a later edition because no one can identify where my fuel pump relay is precisely and l had to remove my clocks and dash to access 4 relays directly above the fuse box in the car and still not able to identify what each relay does except one which is clearly imprinted IGN by it's port. All relays worked fine when tested with a multimeter which strangely did not help me one bit in identifying the fuel pump relay...hence rear seat out to test fuel pump direct. My Haynes manual however has proved invaluable for lighting fires so not a complete waste of £17 after all
Oh dear! Sounds like you're going through it. I suggest you search for the Micra K11 Factory Service Manual. There’s a version for the K11 facelift that was produced from June 2000. Good luck.
Hello, Congratulations for your videos ! I own a May 1998 Micra K11 (NCVT gearbox) and I cannot find any OBD device that fits this model. Can you help me with this issue ? Thanks and regards.
I bought my ugly orange Micra in 2020 and since that date I wanted to get rid of the backseat. My other Micra from 1998 had a backseat you could flip up from the back of the base and then the backrest fell neatly into the gap that created. Since I don't drive with the backseat up, I wanted to take the backrest out because now it's a ramp straight into my windscreen when I have to brake hard. Why did they abandon such a cool concept?
Today I removed the backseat and left the backrest to fall unto that space. It's near perfect now! Let's hope the Dutch yearly car check doesn't think it has to be back.
@@MsDrientjeI thought that for the APK you only need to have all the seatbelts in place (and functioning) for all officially registered seats, but you can remove the seat itself.
You can fit about 20 crates of beer on a europallet (120cmx80cm. That pallet fits like a glove and the height of the space is about the height of 4 crates of Dutch beer (about 120cm or 47 inch).

Interesting to see how these things come apart and, as you suggest, could be handy knowledge. Nice and clearly explained.

I am struggling to find mine in the transit, only the 3 front seats, you have a lovely weekend both of you
Only three front seats? Thank goodness there's room in the back for a sofa! Enjoy your weekend too, Ian.
@@CarSpyTV and 2 easy chairs lol
What a contrast to the Corsa. I can't fit a folded camping chair (width wise) in the boot. Mmmm!
Best vid ever. Thanks for showing this. May convert mine!
Thank you, Bobbles. It crossed my mind to convert this one to a tiny camper. It would be an interesting (but illogical) project.
Never seen a back seat taken out before!
Let's hope I can get it back in!
Hmmm, are you going to fit a roll cage? Lol. Modding a £100 micra for 20k :p
Now that's a good business plan!

Helicopter conversion is the ultimate objective!
Actually, that's really useful to know! Thanks.
My rear passengers aren't so pleased!

Will you do this with the Focus. You can get a huge present for Mrs CarSpy then😁

@CarSpyTV can you do a pump pressure test fuel please
I am following along to this video and I got stuck on the clips for the bottom cushion. I can't get them undone. Any tricks?
Those clips can be stiff. I'd try WD40. Good luck.

I understand. There are a few cars that have such a feature. The Ford Focus Mk2, for instance. Thanks for the comment.

so how much room is there with the seat out? you didnt really show that. was wondering how big an item you could fit in there with no rear seat.
Hello. Four dining room chairs would fit easily enough.
