At one point I actually got an ace with the ho ro at 7.3, two of those kills were an is6 and t29. The tank is so derpy while having 10 degrees of gun depression makes shooting over hills such an easy task. Imo it’s better than the sturmpanzer because of the gun depression alone

I really love Japanese low tier, the Chi-Ha Kai with that gun deppresion and stabilizer and amazing gun really clap. Then there's the Chi-He same gun, but better armour. I got a like 10 kill game in it fighting an entire enemy team by myself and tanking shells left and right and surviving. Then there's the Ho-Ro aka God mode farmer.

Japan ia fun if you like the big guns and gum depression (chi-he), japan lacks armour especially mid tiers. Chi he has decent armour with 50 mm at 2.7.
As a Japan main who has grinded the entire tree, the only really frontline capable tanks are the top tier ones. 9.0 and below, it isn’t a very good idea to frontline unless your using the Type 89. Japan is more of a passive tree, but if you wanna grind Japan the choice is yours.
To play as japan you pretty much gotta use japanese tactics, shinobi style, you fire and by the time they turn to shoot back, you're gone the trees are your best friend today the trees SPEAK JAPANESE!!!
The Chi-ha LG is stupidly good. I never expect 4 dudes hanging around a fucking flat-top could take so much hit lmao. The best embodiment of "No armour, best armour" motto. I mean the huge TNT-laden semi-armour-piercing round is also a 1-shot killer. The huge fucking gun is also unironically the best armour protection against "monkey sees, monkey shoots" kinda players lol.

I like that japan's most consistent hitter in the super low tiers is literally a truck with a single 20mm cannon strapped to the bed, MAYBE surpassed by that one reserve light tank that can't stop flipping over at max speed

I like to play the chi ha short gun (12cm gun in a proper tank) and the Ki 109 (flying 75mm gun thats actually fast and has turrets)
For the Type-91, I recommend not going into open area maps and more into maps with cover, found out the hard way...
