These are the only reserve tanks that get APDS rounds, which are "a little strong" for low tier.

Well as a beginner my self japan is pretty balanced up to 5.0 after is hard to balance
Only reached 5 br on a couple of nations and br 1 still feels more balanced overall. better than once you reach 2.7 and T34s, Sherman's and KVs make me want to cry.
It has impressive penetration figures considering it's a 37mm gun punching through the same amount of armor as the 75mm M3 used in the Sherman, albeit with significantly less post-penetration damage.

The power of APDS.
It's not just a 37mm gun, it's a sub caliber shot from a 37mm gun, meaning the actual projectile sans the sabot is even smaller. Making it even more impressive.

Gotta love how they give these shells to these guys, but at the same time deny early french vehicles armed with 37mm guns(both short and long) their APCR and APDS shell while saying they can't do anything about that. Woopsie...

@@jake_russ Brits actually removed the HE filler from M61 shells and filled them. APHE was not good irl early APHE tended to shatter before penning or just not fusing. Testing done by multiple nations showed that it barely produced more damage and that it wasn't worth the trade off.

Fun fact: The Strv m/31 can be played like an IS-2: Having your back towards the enemy (20mm of armor+engine, instead of 24mm of armor + crew) thanks to its reverse speed
I actually played like that (a few months ago) and clapped 15 people the round with that Strat on br 2.0 ... it is just hilarious trolling around like that

Dollar i have a little tip for Strv m/31, when playing CQC face your rear to the enemies if u get shot your engine and trans will absorb most of the damage and the only way to kill your tank will be from turret penentrations. also Strv m/31 reverse speed is 20 km/h
Oh yeah this is known tactic , works well on IS tanks also ;)
I also do this with Sherman tanks if I get caught in a bad situation and they don't shoot my turret first.
The insane penetration values aren't as unbalanced as they might seem due to the simple fact that.. well, it's BR 1.0, what's the point of 100mm of pen when the heaviest armour you're likely to run into is less than half of that? APHE ends up being more effective against most targets because it's more likely to do critical or fatal damage and can penetrate most things you run into just fine. And the APDS has great range... if RNG favours you. No fin-stabilizing on these boys, so it's a bit like sniping with a musket.
Not to say Swedish tank tree isn't terrific, because it is, except for a few spots higher up in the BR that lacks a full lineup. My favorite tree alongside Italian Derp and French s t r o n k.

The thing is you can easily snipe and pen people from any range at low br while they have to get better at aiming, and it's not about one-shoting, but to disable the opponent. If you angle theres alway a chance to bounce low tier APHE while with APDS it's a different story. French has pretty good armour at that br, you can bounce a lot with them, but not APDS rounds.
Apds is extremely accurate at range. Meaning ppl that say started in the big three then come to Sweden get a round that can reliably and easily hit targets farther than actual newbies will be able to. Not to mention most tanks at this br are cramped as hell and APDS is generally a one tap anyway.
You and OddBawz both demonstrating the broken tanks in Swedish tree. I love it. Do one with the Lvtgbt SPAA that sits at 2.7. That thing shreds everything.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate Sweden's work on making the amazing 3.7cm gun with that amazing APFDS or Sabot rounds? I love it, you can kill T-34 and M4 Sherman's from 1km in this tank from 1.0BR also the velocity 👌
Its a plain sabot, no fins
The 3,7 cm slpprj m/49 can penetrate T-34 and M4 because it's in fact a post war round (1949 as it's name says) so it's designed to do so.
And yes, post war APDS.

@@jonathanallen3688 bullshit. As the name suggests, the 20mm Pzgr 40 was designed and built in 1940. Also, towards the end of the war in 1944, German tungsten stocks were running out and, being the tungsten the key component of the Pzgr 40, they began to use steel in its place with a much lower penetration power. So it can't possibly be a late war bullet. Also at 1.0 48mm of penetration are nothing special, considering that the Japanese and Italians also have 48mm of penetration on their 20mm guns, while the British and Swedes have 42mm.

Yeah realistic is the way too go(or simulator battels). Being able to be invisible (sometimes in front of the enemy lol) is a lot of fun. 💪🏻

Under like 3.0BR is my favorite. No matter what I have a decent game and the tanks are fast enough I'm not upset about needing to hold W for 5 minutes just to get to the battle. just stress-free fun.

Fun fact : with the m/31 you can do the reverse IS-2 trick because the huge engine will eat up all the shells
The thing that makes low tier so balanced is that the armour is thin all round. This means that there are only a handful of tanks that struggle to pen and kill reliably and even they do alright if not uptiered
Try out the russian premium milk truck (SU-57) it has 122mm of pen and 40g of TNT at 2.3

meanwhile reserve and 1.0 swedish tanks: 105 mm penetration. (completely balance)
Barely any post-pen damage though...

The H.39 is a really tough nut to crack when angled!
It does such low damage because the subcaliber core is less than 30mm. One source said it was like 24mm iirc.

Just shoot central mass from the front, or crew compartment from the side. It's pretty good round , but yeah you need to know where to shoot
Chinese tech tree also has a funny vehicle - M8 car. .50 cal shoots basically through every low tier tank, so you sometimes can have 9 to 10 kills with this thing.

It was funny seeing you driving around the T24-4 at the beginning. At that moment we could see one of the worse Low tier tanks and one of the better ones in the same frame.

I used to play War Thunder and shooting a Sherman 105mm with a swedish APDS rounds to the front hull at about 200m.
Later in the other match, I am top of the team playing this low tier swedish high penetrating tank and everyone thought I was hacking because of my ULQ graphic shooting from 500m to 1200m long range.
That's the good old days in the very bad year of 2019 to 2020. I'm glad I didn't cook off the computer 😹 so I uninstalled the game because how many time it crashes after the patches was released from the snail 🐌 company.

You could also take out the Swedish 38t, I take that monster to every BR since its a great way to get some easy God Mode
strv.m31 is invincible if you ride it backwards. Engine very like eating shells.

yea i was playing 8.7 and i was caping and holding a good spot but a teammate pushed me out the way to use that spot, i was a t54 thx to uptier so my engine was weak and died cause i was stuck and couldnt move, obviously i bombed that teammate after but it’s annoying how some people are like that at higher BRs as well
I have a love hate relationship with this game because pros like you destroy me when I'm trying to learn. That and I get spawn camped almost every match.

Sweden is OP af in this game, even though most of these vehicles were big flops irl.
How strange is it that a nation that never took part in real combat ops in the last 120 years always end up making extremely good hardware *on paper*, yet only ends up producing a handful of them, or not selling them to anyone and never engaging them in combat ops, in a way that we only have swedish industry and government to back those performance claims.
Especially when said government and industry have all reasons to lie about those performances to help deter ennemies from attacking while keeping the Neutral status.
Especially when their hardware ends up being mostly pure useless garbage ( Collins class submarines, ARCHER artillery systems, JAS-39 Gripen ) and their industry is known for cheating and using corruption to sell their stuff.
Sweden's definitely fishy.

I think it's balanced because the platform that carries this "good gun" is not so very good/mobile. At higher BRs this thing performs better compared to other 1.0 vehicles but there are much more op tanks at 1.0
Bt-5 and Chinese m8 are far more op than this. I play bt5 up to 4.3-5.3 and at some instances I finished on top of the team without dying. Really good mobility and really nice round...

That was a lot of fun to watch.
Maybe someday the Snail will actually give us better looking recoilless rifle back blast. It just looks so anemic currently. Way back in the early ‘80s I watched a crew of (I assume) US Forest Rangers using a 106mm to break up some deep snow above a highway in Colorado. The back blast seemed more violent than that from the muzzle. Maybe have the guy who’s time is wasted animating canopies (that should be frigging closed before a jet even starts down the damn runway) spend a week tweaking the effect?

Maybe the m/31 and m/38 should have slightly higher rating but let's not act like APDS is God mode or anything, yeah it will pen almost anything but post pen damage is minimal, basically you'll get your first shot, kill their driver or commander and then they one shot you bc these tanks have average and very thin armor. Which is why I get a lot more kills with the M13/40 which has 'only' 52mm of pen at 100m.

Its acts less like APDS and more like APCR ingame. Absolute no spall or angle pen.
I legit wanna play reserve/low tier Sweden just to get APDS mess around with it. Got nothing much to do with US top tier ground aside from trying to spade my LAV-AD and HSTV-L. Besides, we know that it'll be going to complete shit once the M1A1 AIM comes to the live server :3

Just started this game today, and holy sheet, they never heard of a learning curve.
The first match is not that hard, same goes for the second. Then you get in a match and kill four tanks, shoot down a fighter and score four more kill assists while also getting six or seven awards for that match, without even dying once.
So you think you figured it out, but you couldn’t be more wrong, because immediately after that you get sniped by some guy all the way across half of the map just 0.1 seconds after you peeked around a corner. Every. Single. Time.
Frustrating, but fun, but still frustrating.
Considering its a 37mm APDS, yes its balance since its still just a 37mm

People that do this at rank 100 you should be ashamed of yourselves as you would get a bigger player base for the whole game if match making was fair and not done by BR its bollocks as a newer play I don’t know half the maps or anything then I’m pinged half way across a map by a rank 100 just makes me want to delete this shit and stop playing I liked you dollaplays until this video now I may have to unsub now 👎🏻
another "balanced" vehicle is all the t34s up till 3.7. idk what it is, im not a particularly good player, but i consistently get at least five to seven kills with them, and every now and then some double diget kills. the t34s at 3.3-3.7 are broken AF.
It's just so nuts that every single reference or cut away or clip that you use I know where it's from either Naked Gun the Eraser any of the Arnold Schwarzenegger movies and the Blazing Saddles references that you have my god dude you are just the perfect RUclipsr for me you hit every fucking reference that I love.

They nerfed the tank a little bit because I remember that at the turret was like 40mm of armor and now its like 20mm to extreme balance

I’m on an ad right now but judging from the thumbnail and you saying low tier imma go with that swed light tank that has like 58mm of pen on AP then jumps to 105 on apds. Was just playing them the other day games of 15+ kills no deaths 😂😂
funny enough, you are using the weaker ammo. the HE ammo has 50% the pen, but that is still so much you can pen anything in that is BR 1-2.7 still anyways, just need to aim a little more carefully on some tanks in the front. it will one tap almost everything.
