It’s not glue it’s silicone caulk (which isn’t paintable)and you have to remove it completely with a razor blade first then they sell products to help remove the residue and or you can use a fine sandpaper. Then you can re-caulk with a paintable caulking. Cool idea by the way. Peace
It looks absolutely amazing! Thanks for doing this video. I accidentally ordered the appliance paint instead of the tub and tile but after seeing how amazing this came out I'm going to keep it. My vanity and sink are almost identical to yours so I'm hoping it turns out as good. Thank you! Great job!
Hi Karla any chance do you still remember what paint did you use for your cabinets please I’m renovating my bathroom right now and i do like this combination of color 🙏 thank you
How many coats did you use of the Appliance Epoxy? And if you used more than one, how much time in between coats? Thanks so much for your informative video.
Over spray...any suggestions how to remove it?? I did my daughter's bathroom counter today, and I didn't cover the floor in the whole bathroom, just the floor around the vanity. But the floors everywhere are sticky! What would be the easiest way to remove it?
What do you use to clean the sink? Has the cleanser effected the paint finish? Does the an state how to clean the appliance after that epoxy has been applied?
@@KarlaAlexandra I have some experience. It looks great now, but it will fail at some point in the future. Few tips if you ever do this again. Sand your surface 220.....wet sanding is fine. You just wanna rough up the surface......clean with a degreaser. Use a coat of compatible primer.......and lastly. Two coats.....spray paint doesn't go on very thick.....building up the surface. (but I will say....great job for a "first try")
It’s held up well. Our three kids use this bathroom and they are not careful at all. There is one spot where it looks like one of them left a spray bottle can and it stained the counter top a bit. I would recommend this in a bathroom that does not have heavy traffic or at least not a kids/guest bathroom. I will definitely do this in my master bathroom because it is just me and my husband and we keep it clean, but with kids maybe not. This is not a permanent solution so I can deal with that stain.
Hello just came across you. Your countertop looks beautiful. Also your wall color is pretty, what color is it? I’m wanting to paint my bathroom. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. The color on the wal is repose gray by Sherwin Williams. The counter tops are sprayed with appliance epoxy in the color white. I did three coats.
It is a satin finish. It looks different I’m every light. If you look at my laundry makeover video, you will see that in white light it looks better than soft white. In the kids bathroom I have soft white. I like them both.
@@deelici0uss316 Maybe five minutes I never let paint dry on tape because then it’ll just peel off paint. Always take tape off when paint is still wet.
I pulled it out and spray painted it. This was just cost and time effective. Eventually we want to pull that vanity out and replace it with something a bit more modern. Everything in this makeover is original except the mirror and the shower fixtures. We did buy a new set at Lowe’s.
I painted my kitchen counter this morning. WOW that stuff is very toxic, but it looks really nice. Now I'm going to do the bathroom too. It's amazing what paint does.
Awesome. I assume you used the cam where you roll it? I heard that is way way stronger than the spray. I am bout to remodel my master bathroom and I will be using the spray can.
I can't find the canned paint around here. I'm going to order it from my local hardware store. The spray really got my lungs and I wore a respirator, vented and fanned. The plumber put in my new sink today and scratched the counter top. UGGG
Unless it’s not noticeable and you can live with it then I wouldn’t send it but if it’s something that is noticeable and people will definitely see that then I would sand it.
Yes I would just open windows in your house and maybe get a fan to blow the smell out. It’s not super super strong but strong but it is a smell that will linger for a bit.
I do it’s my small bathroom makeover on a budget video. I just used some waverly chalk paint from Walmart in the color elephant and that’s it. Lol then I sealed it with a polycrylic.
the respirator masks with say like a P100 filter doesn't keep you from breathing in fumes. the P100 and N95 filter masks are for particulate matter, not for fumes. the respirator you used doesn't protect you from fumes because fumes are not particulate. that stuff is probably better to spread on a paintbrush the spray can definitely went into your lungs. and that still has a lot of fumes. that shit is so nasty. i have used it because i have to sometimes.
We used this on our counter and after letting it set for 2 days after 2 coats, it seems to not have cured 100%. Any thoughts or recommendations on why or what we can do to fix this issue? I used a crimper today for my hair and it left indentions on the counter from the crimper sitting on the counter. 🙁
Mine sat for a week before anyone used the sink. I even waited to put the faucet as well. I am not sure what can be done differently, maybe a longer cure time. Also remember that this is a quick fix. Mine has held up so far, just a little stain from my step daughters face mask which came up with a magic eraser. We are in the process of removing the vanity but I think if this bathroom was not used by all three kids and guest the epoxy will last longer a lot longer.
@@KarlaAlexandra ya, apparently they even have it in cans there, like for brush on or roll on? I sprayed my kitchen sink with this product and it turned out very grainy , not smooth; I called the company and they said the batch of that product was faulty . They will refund me and I am going to re sand and do it again
It does fine. Just remember this is just a budget friendly solution. We have had this for a year and 6 months and it is still holding up but I don’t see it lasting forever. We have three teens using that sink and they are not always careful with it. Lol
I hope y’all enjoy this video. If y’all have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. This Appliance Epoxy is worth trying.
Thanks for your help!! :)
So did you sand at all before? And did you finish with a top clear coat? Or was that not necessary? Thanks so much
@@stormy3307 I did not sand. Just cleaned it very well first. That’s all. No top coat. The finish is awesome.
Are there any color of this epoxy? 🤔☺️

I absolutely love the bathroom in the bathroom decorations! It’s amazing what you can do with just a can of paint🤗

Hey Karla! How has it been holding up ?? Is there anything you would have done differently, in hindsight?
It held up well for two years. This bathroom has a lot of traffic. I had to touch up just a few months ago.
Over spray...any suggestions how to remove it?? I did my daughter's bathroom counter today, and I didn't cover the floor in the whole bathroom, just the floor around the vanity. But the floors everywhere are sticky! What would be the easiest way to remove it?
I would try acetone.
Hello, I pray all is well. Thanks for the video. May I ask what kind of spray did you use for the color change on the faucet
Hi. I just used oil rubbed bronze spray paint. But I recently used black appliance epoxy spray. Much more durable
Thanks for sharing this video! About how long did the surface hold up before it needed a touch-up / refresh / replacement?
2 years for me
Did you sand the sink down or any special cleaning products before spraying? How many coats, and what is the wait time between and before using?
I did not sand. I just wiped it down first.
Great video thank you!
Question: how long did you wait until you began using the countertop? Like brushing teeth washing hands etc ?
Just a few days
Did you have to sand before hand? And how many coats did you apply? :)
Yes. I did two coats.
How is the texture? Is it nice and smooth or is it grainy? Thanks
The texture is very smooth. Not grainy or rough.
Thank you! Doing mine later this week and mine is made of the same material. I appreciate you posting this.
Awesome good luck on yours. Thank you for watching.
I love the color of your bottom cabinets! So gorgeous!
Thank you I used waverly chalk paint in the color Elephant

What do you use to clean the sink? Has the cleanser effected the paint finish? Does the an state how to clean the appliance after that epoxy has been applied?
I use mrs Meyers products. You can use anything on it. I would use your normal multi spray/disinfectant spray. It has not done nothing to the finish.

Do I need to put a sealer on my final coat?
No it’s epoxy.
You did any paint before using epoxy or directly do spray epoxy because my countertop is same material
I just cleaned it and sprayed
I love this!! We have been doing so many diy projects in our house

What color did you paint the faucet? and was is epoxy paint as well?
I used Rustoleum oil rubbed bronze. But I did not prime first. Make sure you prime then spray.

did you use any sealant after spraying?
I did not
I used the Giani brand to redo my kitchen counter top! Love how this turned out!
I’m planning on doing this in my bathroom soon. Where did you get the brown paper from to block off the overspray?
I just got it at Home Depot.
Dollar tree sells it too
Any peeling or issues now?
So did you just sand it and used the spray, or did you use something else to protect it?
Nope I just cleaned it really well and then I sprayed it. No top coat. It is an epoxy so I did not need a topcoat.
