One of the strongest editions of MGP in a while, Akuvi is my favourite so far but so many other strong songs as well, loved Som Du Er and love triumph again
About Akuvi: She also participated in 2020 with "som du er" as a automatic finalist and she actually is a pretty good performer and can dance well. I think she might be a contender, it really just depends on the Norwegian people
Akuvi reminds me of Asanda and her song Legends from the 2018 NF from U.K. but it didn’t make it so I hope Akuvi is treat the same way since it’s too generic for Eurovision
I loved Akuvi in 2020 she was strong then so super excited to see triumph live! But I really really like about 12 of these songs which is a nice change for a national selection 😂
NRK introduced a lot of changes this time around: 1) Re-introduction of the international juries in the final 2) We can only vote for 1 entry at a time (based on the snippets, it would be Elsie Bay for me) 3) Number of semi finals reduced to 3 (these will remain 100% public vote) 4) Duels are gone 5) This one angers me the most: autotune will be allowed for the first time...
I feel Maria Celin has the most potential for a live performance (especially the staging) but "queen of kings" (Alessandra) is a bop tho, my 2 favourites. I love Elsie Bay's music, she offered quality tracks both times but knowing the usual norwegian televote, not sure if she has a chance to win even with the jury vote. I'm disappointed with Ulrikke's song, she can deliver way better. I'm pretty pleased with the selection overall, my third favourite after Spain and Ukraine
Maria Celin ist going to win. Her song is the most hyped in Norway! Freya is a masterpeace, Norwegian and English, winner vibes. But I also would love it if Ulrikke wins.
At the moment, no Norwegian 2023 entries would be in my Norway 2022 top 5. But I'm happy to see Ulrikke's popularity, as she was my Eurovision 2020 winner! And we know she'll slay when it's live.
What an incredible selection! MGP is strong this year. I'm rooting the most for Ulrikke, then I'm very happy that Elsie is back and I'm curious to see Umami Tsunami's performance - they are cute! Akuvi is also great :). Can't wait to watch the live performances. Thanks for a great video Alesia 🙂🙂👍
This selection is ridiculously competitive. I might be overreacting when comparing it to last year, first MGP that i followed, but this year Norway has probably 7 or 8 strong packages in order to make a choice! It will all come down to the staging, as a song there's not a huge, clear favourite, but my Top-5 is this: 1) Ekko inni Meg 2) Freya 3) Triumph 4) Queen of Kings 5) Not meant to be (Probably the best song as a ''song'', 2022 pop as it should be) Unpopular opinion, but both Ulrikke's and Elsie's songs are weaker than their 2020 and 2022 respectively. However, Ulrikke is the type of live performer that managed to transform ''Attention'' from a Top-20 song to a fan favourite that for a lot of people could have won the juries in ESC. I also really like Tiril's ballad, not something extraordinary, but it kinda proves that a great melody is enough for anything good in music. Again, STACKED selection!
I love when I see your vids pop up. But could you also drop a link to an official recap video or something so I know what you’re talking about. Yes, spot on analysis.
Great selection. And while I don't think that any of those songs could win Eurovision, most of them could qualify, and the 2 or 3 songs that wouldn't, probably wouldn't even advance to the MGP final, tbh. And many of these songs would also get the chance to enter the Top 10 of Eurovision or at least land on the left side of the scoreboard.
Too many good ones but I am team Kate Gulbrandsen, I loved her 1987 entry Mitt liv which came 9th written by Rolf Lovland from the 95 winner Secret Garden and writer of the 85 winner Bobbysocks
Stella Mwangi.. Yeah i was a big fan of that Haba Haba song T_T Did not make it to the final sadly. But ill be honest.. for me in this selection i have not heard anything that really hit me. But maybe the live performances can win me over.
Becouse he is from Chile?? That he is not norwegian ??Why, don't you like the song ,, Becouse he sing spanish, instead of English or Norwegian? The Norwegian People are not English eirher .
AM for PM (prime minister) - time to get back on the ESC treadmill. I think with this many returning artists, a fresh face will win. My bet is on JONE because that's a strong melody. But my favourite is Stig Van Eijk just like he was in 1999. Shame about his 14000 decibel ear monitors killing his performance in the grand final.
Alessandra Mele - Queen of Kings = Klara Hammarström - Run To The Hills = Gabry Ponte x LUMI!X x Prezioso - Thunder I do enjoy all three but they are very similar.
Winner potential: Ulrikke and Elsie (ridiculous views count and fan faves), Two norge songs are my fave tho. Not delusional tho about them winning. Would be awesome but No hope. Alessandra is great ( run to the hills and Ava max and witchy undertone ). Most likely Ulrikke? People are also tracking Freya. Many people underrate Two norge songs. I really like this selection. I can sleep at peace knowing Norway will choose sth good. My only questionmark are kpop fans and their voting power.
The what you call mature performer is none other than Eurovision Icon Kate who represented Norway in 1987 with Mitt liv. Being a Self proclaimed Eurovision expert you should do a little research here and there
This selection is strong as hell, it gets better every single year.. My favourites are honestly (my winner) and freya
Firstly you said that only Ulrikke your favourite 🤔🤔🤔

@@harryt5878 so true. That’s the danger of a poor performance of a good song.
Surie won that NF by giving a good performance of a bad song
I’m ulrikke the whole way. She was my #1 in 2020. And her song this year sounds right up my alley.

my winner of mgp 2023 elsie bay love in your dream
OMG Alessandra, Jone and Maria Celin ♥️
I'm all about Kate. I've loved her since she represented Norway back in 1987!
I hope they don't skimp on the staging and tell the story.
@@AlesiaMichelle Stig van Eijk is also an old returnee (ESC 1999).
The best one seems to be Maria Celin “Freya”
There are other good ones too but Maria Celin seems like it would be a fantastic choice for Norway.
Freya is a clear standout for me, that could win the televote at Eurovision!!
But not on mgp
Thank you sooo much for reacting to my video ❤😍
TY for sharing it ☺️

These are all super strong and for me Ulrikke, Elsie, and Maria are my faves - very hard to choose with this one
Maria Celin ist going to win. Her song is the most hyped in Norway! Freya is a masterpeace, Norwegian and English, winner vibes. But I also would love it if Ulrikke wins.
But there's a jury as well
Maria Celin deserves to win it. Even from the small snippet I can tell that Freya is a masterpiece.
Easily the best out of all of them
