Before connecting your phone to your PC via USB cable you need to remove your SIM card from your phone!! That's why you didn't get a list of CSC codes in the drop down list in the SamFw FRP software tool.

In South Africa the S22 Ultra is STILL sitting on the 1 October security patch and it is already MID DECEMBER! Our phones haven't gotten the November or December security patch nor did it receive the Android 14 and One UI 6 update. People now resort to changing their phone's CSC in order to get these updates. It's a pity that Samsung doesn't care about their customer base in Africa.

Normally, yes. Unless you change it to INS (Indian) firmware, which has a different build number. You will have to update manually once via Odin (ruclips.net/video/mq9qzGOh5oM/видео.htmlsi=Atc4IggaT2cu7N3L) and you will be back to automatic updates.
Awesome mate this still works great, i changed my Australian s21U to multiple different CSCs but THL/ Thailand seems to be best for here Samsung messages RCS still works & i have Voice recording. Previously i just used the single CSC XID firmware to enable recording but wasn't as good as multi OXM for this region

Wifi calling wasn't working and we need it in the very rural area we live in (we have to drive a mile down the road for cell signal). I flashed to U1 but it still showed TMB/TMB/TMB and no wifi calling. Using your guide, I flashed to XAA, it still didn't give me wifi calling. It showed XAA/XAA/TMB. I flashed again, using VZW and It instantly gave me wifi calling.

Depends on the CSC. If you notice that you aren't getting updates, you can go back to your old CSC or try another CSC that supports updates + call recording.

I've done everything that was suggested to me to do with my tri-band router (ASUS RT-AXE7800) to the point that I'm beginning to suspect that it's the phone that is actually causing the problem. My CSC is at the moment is XME and it seems that the phone came with that CSC preset. Do you believe that changing the CSC would solve my problem and if so, what CSC would you recommend I set? Hi there! Hmmm, I have noticed that when I changed my CSC from EUX (Europe) to THL (Thailand), the options when setting up a hotspot changed from 2.4/5/6 GHz to 2.4/5 GHz. It may be something similar to your case as well. Try changing to EUX. If it doesn't work, you can change it back easily, as the process is quick and no data is erased. Let me know how it goes! @khanmusawir931 Hey man! You can try changing it, no question about that. However, when I changed mine from XME to EUX, the updates stopped coming through. As soon as I switched back to my phone's native CSC, which is XME, the updates started coming through again. There is another option. Normally you should. If for some reason you don't, you may install the update manually to get back to automatic updates (ruclips.net/video/mq9qzGOh5oM/видео.htmlsi=48mFyyQPa1GA_RYe) or just revert back to the old CSC.

India is the only CSC that has a different update build number from the rest. Thus, you will not get automatic updates. If you must change it to INS, then after changing the CSC, flash the latest firmware available in India via Odin (ruclips.net/video/mq9qzGOh5oM/видео.htmlsi=2R8h8hszMCEDS2PT). Now, you will get automatic updates.
Changing CSC, no. Flashing the firmware, you have to be careful. If, for example, you disconnect the cable or your PC turns off during the flashing process, your device will be bricked, and you must try again (but this time losing your data) to fix it. Just a risk to take into consideration!

I've done this and changed from XFA (forgotten Africa region) to THL. Got all the latest updates that Samsung is not rolling out to the S22 series in Africa. But THL doesn't support Samsung Wallet. So I changed back to XFA. The January Security patch is supposed to be out already and of course XFA is still sitting on 1 October security patch. Now I want to know which CSC I can change to permanently so that I get the updates on time but where Samsung Wallet will also work? I was thinking ANY which is South Korea. Anyone have some advice?

Unfortunately you cannot change the manufacturer CSC. You can flash using the CSC_ file instead of HOME_CSC_ (your data will be wiped) to get OTA updates.

Hello, what CSC are you trying to change to? You have a US model and can't switch to European/Asia CSC.

Try changing to EUX. If it doesn't work, you can change it back easily, as the process is quick and no data is erased.

@khanmusawir931 Hey man! You can try changing it, no question about that. However, when I changed mine from XME to EUX, the updates stopped coming through. As soon as I switched back to my phone's native CSC, which is XME, the updates started coming through again. There is another option. BredzPro has another video in which he's showing how to update a phone using the SmartSwitch app for desktop. Here's the link to that video.

Normally you should. If for some reason you don't, you may install the update manually to get back to automatic updates (ruclips.net/video/mq9qzGOh5oM/видео.htmlsi=48mFyyQPa1GA_RYe) or just revert back to the old CSC.

If you updated via Odin after changing the CSC, you should recieve the next update automatically.

Any Samsung device can have the CSC changed as long as ADB debugging is enabled. Follow the steps in the video and you can do it

India is the only CSC that has a different update build number from the rest. Thus, you will not get automatic updates.
If you must change it to INS, then after changing the CSC, flash the latest firmware available in India via Odin (ruclips.net/video/mq9qzGOh5oM/видео.htmlsi=2R8h8hszMCEDS2PT). Now, you will get automatic updates.

Changing CSC, no.
Flashing the firmware, you have to be careful. If, for example, you disconnect the cable or your PC turns off during the flashing process, your device will be bricked, and you must try again (but this time losing your data) to fix it. Just a risk to take into consideration!

As soon as I change to THL, I have gotten the android 14 update and also the call recording function. I just wanted to ask one question. With the new THL CSC, will I stop getting other future security updates and normal OTA updates in the future? and should I revert back to XSG after updating to android 14? Thankyou

I've done this and changed from XFA (forgotten Africa region) to THL. Got all the latest updates that Samsung is not rolling out to the S22 series in Africa. But THL doesn't support Samsung Wallet. So I changed back to XFA. The January Security patch is supposed to be out already and of course XFA is still sitting on 1 October security patch. Now I want to know which CSC I can change to permanently so that I get the updates on time but where Samsung Wallet will also work? I was thinking ANY which is South Korea. Anyone have some advice?

Unfortunately you cannot change the manufacturer CSC.
You can flash using the CSC_ file instead of HOME_CSC_ (your data will be wiped) to get OTA updates.
