Note, XAA may not work on a carrier device. You can use it on any model ending in U1 though. You can flash U1 firmware onto a U device if you do want XAA. If you do not want to flash to U1 firmware, CCT is a less bloated config compared to many that does keep most features in tact. You still have a startup screen though. Here's a small FAQ because I am receiving a lot of good questions: "Does this method wipe the phone?" - No, your data will not be wiped. I would still create a backup when messing with your settings though. "Can I change US model CSC to international CSC?" - No. The international models sold outside of the US and Canada are physically different, and the CSC codes will not work. a US model phone will only support CSCs for its firmware. "Does this method remove carrier locks?" - No. You can only achieve a carrier unlock by having your carrier send you the unlock code. "Can I change CSC to a different country with an international phone?" - Yes. Most international models support CSCs for multiple countries. "How to change U model to [international country] CSC?" - The U model only supports CSCs in the USA. "Does my phone need to be rooted?" - No it does not, this method does not require root access. "I keep getting EXPLOIT FAILED errors" - Make sure your phone has USB debugging enabled, and also make sure the USB connection method is set to MTP. "My device is not showing up in SamFW" ^
@@pilotdog68 you can do this, however you will have to flash firmware. I have done this on my galaxy S20, and it works. I would research flashing firmware with ODIN if you choose to go this route, and please do be careful.

I changed CSC successfully on my S21 from VZW to XAA. Then I was able to install more than one eSIM profiles. Previously Verizon had restricted it to only one profile. BTW, it changed to XAA/ATT from previous VZW/VZW so I am thinking may be originally this was an ATT phone. I had bought it used and transfered my Verizon number to it. Thank you for the tutorial.
thank you so much. This is really helpful. I bought an unlocked S21 from ebay and it does not have wifi calling. it has U1 firmware CSC is TMB/TMB, TMB/VZW. I really want wifi calling due to spoty connection. Following the instruction, I change CSC to XAA, the volte calling option shows up but wifi calling options shows up for a second and disappear. I have another phone with CSC XAR which does have wifi callling option. So I change the CSC to XAR and reboot, the wifi calling finally shows up.
When changed from EUX to THL or to EGY i have call recording but the automatic updates doesn't work in order to have automatic updates i have to go back to the original CSC which is EUX any help would be appreciated

Some guy on reddit said that if I switch to the CSC back to an American one, I should be able to receive OTA updates again. I don't want go risk anything without having a confirmation.
Sorry for the lack of response, i really dont have time to check this stuff very often if you change your CSC to XAA, it should give you the latest updates as soon as they are pushed out for your device. There is no risk in doing this, as the CSC can be changed as many times as you want. By the looks of things, you are already on XAA, but your device was originally from AT&T. This should not affect the updates.
Been having quite the time with my Canadian device (SM-S911W). I understand Verizon has a secret menu to change the CSC to GCF but even though the Canadian and US models are identical, I can not change to a Verizon CSC.

Hey, i have a S21 from Japan living in Europe, and i dont have the otion for eSim, so i wanted to change the CSC. But SamFW tells me "SJP" is the only supported CSC, there is no other option for a CSC. Can i just put another in (it says "or your choice") or will that brick the phone? Or is there another workaround to enable "esim"? It is so weird why the option "sim manager" is not available in the settings. Even Samsung support didn't know what to do...
@bernhardreitshammer2126 when you click read, it doesn't tell you the available CSC? You can try them, and they will not hurt the device.. also, as long as you are not on a U or U1 firmware, you can generally download Google dialer and use dial codes to change things like activationof band 20. Some codes work on U and U1.
@bernhardreitshammer2126 in Japan the available code for that region are XJP try that 1st DCM SBM KDI doesn't mean other codes won't work I just can't tell if you have snapdragon or exyons..

International is not my expertise, sorry! I have only dealt with CSCs in the US with our carriers. You can always try it and revert it if it doesn't work, or is worse in some way.
If the code is not supported by the firmware, it will not flash. US models can only have US CSCs. EGY is only available on the international model, which is the one ending in F.

The default/unbranded CSC for phones sold in India is INU. Devices sold outside of the US and Canada likely will not connect to the 5G network here due to the bands being different in the two regions. The phones sold globally vs North America are also different, so the CSCs are likely not compatible.
I read on Samsung Canada members forum that an owner with a Vietnam Galaxy S23 phone changed his CSC from XXV to WWD and then was able to get 5G working on the Rogers network. Perhaps that will work for you? Only issue is updates won't work unless the CSC is changed back to the original.

Follow the tutorial, and make sure to use CSCs that your device supports. US/Canada devices are different from the ones sold elsewhere. You can search online for the CSC you need for your country/region.

no it does not I just did it on my Samsung S23 ultra to get the spam call filter option on it and I did not have to root the phone. You do have to tell you antivirus and firewall to allow this program to run because it does detect it as malware. There is no malware its just that it does not have a digital signature and the scrips it uses are detected as malware. I live in Mexico so I flashed the CSC IUS which is one of the CSC for Mexico and got the feature I wanted.
I purchased a Samsung Fold 2 from AT&T in the USA, and now I'm unable to update the software in India; it's still stuck on Android 10. I tried updating using the Samsung Smart Switch method, but it still doesn't allow the software to be updated. I'm stuck on Android version 10. This tutorial was done on a carrier device to show the process. It's the same on both carrier and unlocked devices, but XAA requires U1 firmware if you want service to work. U1 firmware by default has no bloat, but the 4G/5G logo is changed, and you lose dialer codes and certain features within the phone app from what i noticed. Carriers also show the 5G logo when you are using LTE, which i dislike. You can just change to XAA once you flash unlocked firmware if you want, and it is identical to a factory unlocked device in the US.
Also note if you want to flash U1 unlocked firmware, you need a patched version of odin, or else it will not flash. You also want to use CSC instead of HOME_CSC in odin. User data has to be wiped when changing firmware to a different model.

Sadly, the US model is physically different than the international one, and thus the CSCs are not the same.

What phone and carrier did you change the CSC region on successfully?

OTA updates are slower on some CSCs, but they will all eventually receive the same updates.

I am pretty sure it resets. However, you can reflash as many times as you want.
