This is the kind of song that starts with the guitarist playing a random riff at rehearsal, the drummer joins in, followed by the bass player, and boom, a new tune is born.
This song is an absolute fucking masterpiece, and the filming could not have been done better for its time. I managed to see RC a few times in my 20’s, and this is one band I’m so happy I was privileged to actually experience live. I’m 31 now, and this song literally never fails to send shivers down my spine. This is proper fucking art.
I was at this show - it was awesome. First / only time I saw Russian Circles live... I think I listened to their music only for almost a month straight after the show. Their drummer is just insanely amazing.
i love this band. they are everything i want my band to be. i love their individual playing styles. i love their equipment. i love their tone. i love the guitarists two handed tapping technique. I LOVE THE RUSSIAN CIRCLES.
One of my fav RC tunes. Was lucky enough to be there from the start and saw them at the Cooler in Bristol UK in 2007. Talked to the drummer after the show, top guy as well as an awesome drummer :)
Thank you so much for the upload ! Such a geat band ! I've just bought their albums and they are awesome . Support these artists , they really deserve it !
i seriously need to see them again. i saw them open for coheed and cambria at viejas but i had no idea who was opening that night, let alone had i heard of russian circles, so i got there late. they were fantastic, so i'd love to see them again now that i know their music.
Just saw Russian Circles at the Gothic Theatre in Englewood, CO. This song was EPIC. Well...the entire set was epic. Dave Turncrantz is such a beast.....
i'm old...like, born in the 60's... n this is the most exciting drummin n band i've discovered in a long long time... this is a couple of yrs old, any newer stuff around? i checked out alot of other versions of this song n others, so far this one has the best sound, specially for the drums... gotta see them live someday
Huh funny, this must've been recorded before they recorded Station since Brian played the bass on that album. Colin is still absolutely killing it in this performance!
Normally, people in the audience bother me but the "SOOO GOOD!!" at 2:01 is awesome.
That drummer is awesome.
Fabiayyi The great Dave Turncrantz
the best drummer they had. the rest hit cimbals way too much
@@conceptualelegance Lol, what? It's the only drummer they've ever had.
He really is. Self taught if I’m remembering correctly.
also the GUITARIST
ahh yes harper lewis definetly among the top 10 post rock songs from the 2000s
Damn, the drumming is really tight here
these guys should be at the forefront of music right now. they are so underappreciated bands like this make me proud to be from chicago
That is seriously one of the best drum beats I have ever heard. Just keeps chuggin and building up.
My friend and I were standing right in front of the guitarist at Wicker Park fest; we had never seen them before but we thought they were amazing.
This will never get old.

Whoever mic'd that drum kit... did a damn good job! Clear, but now too loud to hear guitar and bass. Beautiful performance.
Drum fills around 3:00 are so precise and have awesome music sense in them, love it!
Epic. Station is my fave album.
hard! mine too.
still on of my favorite drumming performances of all time.
turncrantz brings the heat!
This is the kind of song that starts with the guitarist playing a random riff at rehearsal, the drummer joins in, followed by the bass player, and boom, a new tune is born.
This is Colin, the original bass player, not the guy from Botch. Both are awesome, so it shouldn't be an issue.
Yeah they're both awesome. Love the P Bass in this vid.
Can’t believe I never heard of these guys until like a month ago. I love em.
1:59 "OH GOOODD!!"
+Det Van If you like that maybe you will like music i make. It is in playlist called (ⰏⰖⰔⰉⰍⰀⰁⰑⰃⰀ⋅) .

I can't believe how beautiful this video came out. Awesome. Trully.
this is some good footage. Russian Circles kicks so much ass.
Can’t believe this is 15 years old.
With the possible exception of Stewart Copeland, this drummer has the highest talent to equipment ratio for a drummer that I'VE EVER SEEN!!!
this band and their drummer are incredible. new album needs to come out soon!
You can tell by the number of heads banging at 2:48 to know the audience was hooked at that moment
His drums sound amazing on this camera!!!!
Just saw Russian Circles at the Gothic Theatre in Englewood, CO. This song was EPIC. Well...the entire set was epic. Dave Turncrantz is such a beast.....
