I love the fact that you went with a survival game system since its scalable and those kind of games are really enjoyable to play. Plus it feels like for me that people that play other survival games like Rust, play it since there is not a better option rn which could benefit you.
I'm not quite sure to be honest, I've received mixed opinions on this mechanics, I personally love them when they are set up correctly and hate them when they force you to grind for resources, which I think most of the people are worried about for Resttore. I hope I hit the sweet spot that is both fun and rewarding
Awesome work man! In future i would love to see a video where you give and explain all the resources you used and that are best to become a game developer!
Developing a game is always a wild journey full of surprises hahahaha It's great to see your game coming to life, we'll be following you from now on for more updates! Oh, and you are very good at making your DevLog a video that is both informative and super fun to watch!!
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LETS GOO IVE BEEN WATING FOR YOU TO UPLOAD YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo but i still want that tree bend thingy
I need to say you something, your English is sounding each video better and better, I love seeing you become better both in game dev and in sounding, I hope that doesn't offend you, but i really hope you always get better and better, keep pumping out fantastic videos
I have the feeling you could do something interesting with the crafting system(s). Example: have a mechanic for the smithing table that requires you to actually hit metal with a hamer. Think something like cooking in COTL
man, love the videos but ill be honest, this is the 2000th indie survival game where you punch trees and rocks... maybe try thinking of something different. give me something that makes me want to play this game over, Valhiem, or Len's Island, or Minecraft.
Exactly what i said in my previous comment i think everybody is exhausted of punching and grinding for hours time try to make something different ,the game length will be longer with these systems yes!!, but it will not be a fun unique experience just grinding for the final boss..
Although i like the look of the game, all the game mechanics described are the essentials for a Survival game post 2020. What are the mechanics that will make this game unique?
I've heard about it but I'm trying to learn as much as I can before relying on plugins/assets. That said I'm interested in flowgraph for my dialogue system but I haven't found any good resources to learn how to use it.
the progress keeps looking awesome!! congrats :) have you thought aobut realising some tutorial on how did this? i cant belive you transfer all that c++ knowledge into blueptring. I can barely string to nodes together :(((((
I just followed the tutorial series I talked about in the video, it's really good and you don't need anything else to set up GAS. I have nothing more to add so my tutorials would not be useful 😅
@@s4bishii i saw that series… but I’ve never even touched c++ terrified to start coding with that one :( u think just knowing blueprint those tuts would ok to follow?
@@Tenchinu Totally, I don't know anything about c++ either but maybe you need to watch some other stuff to set up Visual Studio with your project and convert your project to C++ if it is not a C++ project already.
Great video man, i enjoy it a lot. Do you have think on contract a animator? I think that is the best option to make faster the development. I would be glad if i can a patreon, but I'm in Cuba so i can't. Luck bro, i love this project. No pressure.

I enjoy your devlogs and I'll continue to follow the process, but I want to share my opinion that item durability is one of the worst trends in gaming right now. It makes me want to use my tier 1 equipment over any rare items because "I don't want this important/cool item to break". I don't know how others feels about this feature, but if there is durability in this game, then I won't be playing it.
don't worry, the items will have a very long durability and you won't have to repair them very often (I hate that too) and even if the item breaks you will still be able to use it but with less effectiveness
These survival systems in my opinion ruins the game and makes the game more grindy than a gamey fun experience.. too bad we see it in your game i hoped you'd add something unique and not a very basic useless survival system just to make the game longer
