By time I got on scene they had more then one line in operation inside the home, heavy clutter inside and partial collapse of the BC corner also multiple holes throughout the floor limiting access
I really don't understand this at all. This was my childhood home. How sad they stood and watched it burn. My daughter was taking care of my mother who was elderly and recently passed away. My daughter had her stuff packed and was waiting to move hence the " clutter". Tax payers money being wasted with all that equipment and man power. And to the person that keeps asking " are you crying?" You would be if that was your family. What a shame some people are so ignorant.
@@jackicogar7508 Hi Jackie not sure if you remember me Jane Smith used to live on Buckalew was good friends with Donna. So sad to see your grandparents house burned. They were such a sweet couple.
OK, how's this for a coincidence: I am scrolling through RUclips while listening to Bruce Springsteen's 'My Hometown' and this video pops up. His hometown is Freehold, New Jersey. "Troubled times had come to My Hometown..."
@@bradmagnuson6963 I am aware, but one can project it upon almost any tragedy. Given that Sam Springsteen is a firefighter, I don't think The Boss would mind.
LOL. That FF by the tree swinging their hips like they were at the dance club 🤣. Oh, and a great example set by the chief inside the doorway - wearing a SCBA with the mask dangling by his side in all of that smoke. At least the FFs had the sense to mask up. These vollies are just sometimes embarrassing.

It would have to be from a distance, for safety reasons. You can video all you want, but if you want close-ups, you need a camera that can really zoom in
Let's get all the monday night quarterbacks straighten out. Upon dispatch reported structure fire flames showing. This home was in a section of town not traveled much. Upon arrival by patrol flames threw the roof. Upon arrival 1st engine roof collapse crews worked with 3 handlines exterior until bulk of fire knocked. Then they went interior to finish extinguishing. As far as the Chief in the doorway he was the Ops Chief and was checking on a firefighter that tripped when he entered the home. What you don't see is 3 guys to left inside on handline, 3 guys in the back door and 3 to the right. What you do see is manpower pool in staging so that nobody freelances on the fireground. The job is dangerous enough either career or volunteer. I have seen many firefighters from both sides do things that are wrong. So before you cast negitive comments maybe on should ask the people that where there. As far as letting home burn down that is not any firefighters intentions. This fire especially since it was well involved prior to FD arrival. We should all be thankful that nobody was hurt or killed.
The fire occurred on the northeast side of town, bordering NWS Earle. Howell has a mutual aid agreement for responses like this one. The Mack is a beast! Love hearing that Detroit screaming lol.
Please, tell me this was a training exercise! In all my 25 plus years in a full time dept; even if you know it's a total loss, you still put water on the fire just to make it look good for the public instead of standing around scratching your ass.
Could also be what they call a rit team. A rit team must be standing by incase a firefighter goes down. In that case they only go into the house to find and get him/her out. Standing out front or close by is usually where they stage for quick response
I'm not watching anymore fire videos from New Jersey. The fireman just saunter around and seem to be in no hurry to put water on the fire like they do all across America, in most cases, make water on the fire a priority.
This must be the video where everyone stands and watches a structure fire put itself out!!! Its vented itself in the B-C sides, I see lots of apparatus and firefighters but I don’t see a working hose line anywhere! Ok chief what’s your plan now?
Looks more like a union meeting than a fire team. seem to be dancing--no hose for fire . utube should shut them out. Hooterville has a better fire dept....

That line referred to a lot of the racial discord that was going on, as well as jobs disappearing

Yeah well I see an awful lot of paid not ever masking up
Please help me because I cannot tell if they have a hoseline before they started forcing doors here?

Good video. But I wish there were more close ups of the actual fire before knock down.

Must be a training video on how fire grows and moves thru a structure !!!

Awesome video!!
at the beginning the fire fighters looked like they were shooting 'CRAPS'. 🎲🎲
Naval Weapons Station Earl? So, the naval place is nearby?
Did they just bring their ladder? Love the tankers, especially the ole' Mack!

They were putting water on it.
Guess in all your 25 years you never learned what a RIT team is?
What's with all the firemen standing around and not a hose line in sight?
if they don't move their pack alarms will go off after a few mins....
Back up crews, no doubt. A fire this intense needs lots of manpower and back up crews

are they having a prayer meeting in the front yard ?

You're right. There's no hustle & no priority whatsoever
Smell ya later.
You are absolutely clueless. There were active firefighting efforts on going INSIDE the house
I thought you put water on fires to put them out? A million dollars worth of fire trucks on the street to watch the house burn to the ground.
