After I came home, I discovered that there was a choke inside the barrel, and it was 'MODIFIED'. Maybe that what caused the barrel to get hot so fast. I changed the choke to the standard 'OPEN CYLINDER'. Hopefully this will cool things down a little bit during the next visits to the range... BTW, my Mossberg 590m didn't come with any chokes -- it's just an OPEN CYLINDER barrel.
you need a shotgun with a good custom stock. that's why I modified my Mossberg 590M with extra spacings in the stock. now it's pretty comfortable to shoot. but the first time i shot it -- i got SCARED ;)
There's a guy on RUclips that shot 100 rounds through one of these and ended up having to return it to the manufacturer because the metals of the internal parts were of an inferior quality and deformed, causing malfunctions. Maybe it's good for
If I may suggest, stop anticipating the recoil and closing your eyes prior to the shot. Every round you fired your eyes were closed BEFORE the shot.. Learn to follow the shot with your eyes, youve got eye pro on, press past the psychological thought that you need to close your eyes to protect them. Makes for far better follow up rounds. This is not a sea can gun, this is for forward advancement and room clearing. Since you're left eye dominant, you'll see a dramatic improvement in your follow-up shots. Your accuracy is crappy because of your recoil anticipation. All 5 rounds should have been in the 10 ring at those ranges. Youve got 18.5 inches of barrel to send those, and youre dropping them down, left and right because of the flinch. Field strip the gun and clean it when new. They're shipped with storage lube, more like grease, which is not meant for actual use. Youll see a dramatic improvement in the feed and action of the M4 once you've done this. Run the action multiple times once cleaned and properly oiled with actual gun oil, and fire a few boxes of cheap target / bird shot through it to "break it in". Since its a little less refined with looser tolerances compared to the Benelli, you'll need to be a bit more patient with her. In the end it will shoot like a champ, and the good news is the Benelli parts by and large fit just right, including the optics rail and fore grip.
it's because our politicians are idiots. they think they will reduce crime by imposing restrictions on legal firearm owners like me. 1 year ago i would have been able to buy a handgun, but now it's all banned. meanwhile criminals are busy buying illegal guns on the street, most of which are illegally imported from US. criminals don't care about the rules because they don't have to follow them. and you're right -- one 00 buckshot shell has NINE projectiles each of which is approximately the size of a 9 mm piston round :( Like I said, idiots .... they have no clue what they are doing. if I was Prime Minister I'd allow all the guns and allow legal gun owners to protect themselves... and hire extra customs officers to prevent illegal firearm import from USA.
@@HHTV60 If you think all your illegal guns are coming from the USA, your blind to the real problem. Your Border agents do a great job up there. Down here not so much. Talf about "Stupid Politicians"!! We have them here too.
It's the concealability which Is why Justurd Trudope banned handguns. No reason for him to ban AR platforms though... we already were restricted to crappy 5 round mags for centerfire rifles, and there was no restriction on 22LR mags, unless it was a 22LR pistol as all pistols are restricted to max 10 round mags.
I'm looking to purchase one of these very soon, but there is very limited content or reviews about this Charles Daly on the internet. After you have owned it for a while, can you recommend it to be purchased? Also, how many rounds have you put through it, and is it still running reliably or is there any excessive ware on the internal parts? Has it ever had issues with it's reliability like jamming or misfiring or failure to feed/eject? Thank you very much!
It has worked pretty well, so well in fact that I sold my Mossberg pump shotgun. I put appr. 200 rounds thru it by now -- the gun is pretty reliable. I definitely like this tube feeding system better than the magazines I had to use with the Mossberg 590M. Those had jams quite often.
so far, so good, but I don't shoot it too often. I"m driving back to Calgary this Friday, will install the new Red Dot that I ordered a couple of weeks ago, and will go to the Gun Club to zero in the new sight. This shotgun is a pleasure to shoot, but it's probably not as durable as my other one: Mossberg 590M.
piston grip or no piston grip has no bearing is the gun is legal. semi auto shotguns with the max of 5 rounds capacity are perfectly legal, as long the barrel is equal to or longer than 18.5". pump action shotguns have no limit on magazine capacity. my current Mossberg 590m came with a 10 round mag, and then I got a 15-round... and a 20-round is still available. what I'm surprised at is how many people think Canada is a total communist country where no guns are allowed. WRONG!
@@sammasic5849 yeah, they decided to ban all pistons here but you can still buy a 10 gauge and 12 gauge shotgun; and any kind of a rifle. I love my Ruger American Hunter in 6.5 CM. It's a joy to shoot.

my gun is always jamming on me all different types of ammo as well I don't know why I'm hoping it'll break in but then I buy the Bonelli 1301 tactical and that works right out of the box but there's something about the M4 I love since the first shots OK I can take it hunting

590M is heavy walled barrel, that's why it's not getting hot quickly.
The first time I fired a 12. gauge I ended up with a bruised and sore shoulder. You need to hold it very tight to your shoulder

It's honestly so odd that Canada doesn't allow owning handguns considering how much more destruction is caused by shotguns
